They were incredibly rude regarding my gluten allergy. They not only went out of their way to put up a " no gluten free menu available", they informed me they did not want to have to go over the menu regarding my needs. Clearly they serve many foods that would be gluten-free, all they would have to do is wash the pan! No worries they certainly won't have to deal with this gluten-free person anymore! Anyone with allergies beware they do not know much about their food, I do not recommend their service.

Gotta downgrade the review. I have been here a few more times. I keep thinking that I am not ordering the right thing...but after trying the various Middle Eastern items, salads, breakfast, soups, and the like I figured out they don't season ANYTHING. It just tastes like really really bland boring food. The location is terrific which is why it is busy, but it does not have the food that will make it last long. And they opened another one on Orchard Lake - I think they need to get a handle on the food quality before expanding.

Great service, good food and price. I had the gyro which was surprisingly well made. Remind me of greektown. Gf had the greek salad w chicken gave it a 10/10 which earns this place a 5 star rating.

Bloomfield is lacking good restaurants in the mid tier price range. Honeytree is a good standby. Kid friendly and has a very comprehensive menu that everyone will find something they like. Everything from burgers and salad to Salmon and perch. Their focus is a bit of a Mediterranean feel, but the restaurant is generic enough to serve everyone's tastes. The food is okay. Most of it is made in house and not prepped in some factory. For that they get a plus. The taste is good, but not spectacular. There can be some inconsistency in plating and flavor, but mostly is predictable. This is a good place to grab something to eat if you don't feel like cooking, but is not a destination restaurant.

Nice atmosphere in this place. They have great coffee and the food is very well done as well. They offer a buffet on Sunday's but I stick to the basics. Staff are always polite and attentive. Nice alternative to some of the more expensive dinning spots in the area.

Simply fabulous. Great staff, Great food, Chef extraordinaire... You can't go wrong. Friendly atmosphere. Loved it. Hit the buffet on weekends!!! Oh, and I guess if you are so pretentious that you still want a gluten free menu, you may want to go somewhere else. Good. More room for the rest of us.

I've been to a Honey Tree before but it was a while ago. A friend and I were going to see a movie at the Maple tonight and LivingSocial had a pay $5, get $10 deal, so we chose to go here. The good: their chicken shwarma was excellent. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. The place was packed on a Thursday night, which surprised me. The bad: we waited about fifteen minutes for a booth. I asked if I could do onion rings as a side instead of the French fries, and expected an upcharge, but was never told there was one ... A huge plate came out and I was charged for a full side order, about $3.29. Waitress forgot to take off the livingsocial deal and we had to remind her. Also, my friend ordered a chicken gyro and they brought him lamb. They did correct this quickly, though. I'd come back here just for the shwarma, I'd compare it to Palm Palace. It's a bit pricey, about $6.25 or so with no sides, but delicious. Otherwise, the restaurant itself was just okay.

LOVE this place!!!! Great staff, awesome food and great service! For dinner- my boyfriend and I tried the Fish and Chips along with a sesame panko crusted bbq salmon(which is a special) i love that the dinners come with soup or salad! The presentation said it all- absolutely delicious. my family and i came for breakfast over the weekend. I highly recommend any of the omelettes (protein omelet is my favorite), banana nutella crepe and the strawberry pancakes. We were very satisfied. Can't beat the Sunday brunch which is $9.99 and it's all you can eat buffet. It includes Crepes & Omelettes too! Yummm!!!

One word-awful! I've went there to eat, as well as ordered take in from here because I'm a sucker who hopes things will improve. They never do! They always run out of pita bread and hummus by dinner time, so don't even bother asking. They never remember salad dressings on take out orders, so if you do order CHECK! And the service is absolutely atrocious! They make you wait at least 5min to acknowledge you, and if you order fries, expect them to be cold. Verdict-if they actually have the ingredients for your meal, the food is ok. Other than that, VERY BAD!!

Last week, I carried out dinner for 10 - Greek was requested - I talked to the manager who was wonderful, explaining and recommending everything to me. Ended up getting the Chicken Lemonada for 10. She made sure everything was perfect, putting the chicken, rice, Greek salad and sauce all in separate containers. Had spinach pie, too. It was a HUGE hit!!! Went today for another carryout. This time it was for my husband and I. We both had different chicken dishes and soup. Yum Yum Yum! And, very nice staff, manager and owner!

Man was this place busy at lunchtime. I waited about 20 minutes for a carry out. I got a salad with turkey, but I didn't like the meat so I picked it out. The grape leaves were good. I also ordered a salad with chicken for my mom which was pretty good. The owner and staff were friendly and the place look clean and fresh.

Yum. My work is nearby and we order out from Honey Tree pretty regularly. I love their Greek salad dressing. I don't think I've ever had anything I didn't like from here. Big selection of sandwiches/wraps and salads along with middle eastern food. One of my latest faves is the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Definitely NOT healthy, but very tasty! Prices can be a little high for a coney place, but it's expected in that area. I've brought big and small groups to eat in at Honey Tree, and we've always had good and quick service.

The best service ive had at a restaurant in a while !! Cathy and Tiara are unreal waitresses. They are very very attentive, and friendly. The restaurant has a diverse seating selection -- booths and tables. There are TV's around the edges of the restaurant for those who want to kick back in a booth and watch sports or whatever. There is a giant variety of delicious food on the menu. They have 2 types of chilli -- the traditional meat/bean kind and the coney kind. There is also lemon rice soup - very lemony here. I ordered a Down South Skillet -- which was hearty and delicious, it consisted of eggs any style( i got scrambled egg whites), cubed potatoes, bacon, green pepper, mushroom, onion, and cheese. My mom ordered their classic greek salad with grilled chicken - their chicken is great !! not rubbery, its high quality. Their dressing is the bomb!! not oily. They also have the best pita, its greecian style. My gma ordered a michigan salad which she loved as well. My dad ordered a beef fajita -- which he loved. and my papa ordered a chicken kabob !! see very diverse menu!! free plentiful parking, and we didn't have to wait to be seated !!

Definitely recommend the vegetarian pita which has eggplant instead of lamb! Spinach pie and greek salads are good too. Food is very fast and environment much nicer than the Greek competitor restaraunts in bham.

I ordered the Mediterranean vegetable ciabatta sandwich and a side salad. On the menu, you can add a soup or fries to your order for $1.99. I asked how much it was for a side salad since it wasn't on the menu, and the waitress just told me she didn't really know. She looked at the menu and couldn't find it, and she just told me it was probably $1.50 or $1.99. Not a huge deal, but it seemed kind of weird to give me a ballpark idea of what they were going to charge me rather than just asking someone who knew. My "ciabatta sandwich" was on pita bread...the same pita bread they use for gyros. The grilled vegetables were EXTREMELY oily (not even olive oil - canola oil!) and unseasoned, and the fresh mozzarella kind of looked like smooshed-down styrofoam...it didn't taste like anything. The bread got super soggy from all the oil, and was just plain gross. My side salad was okay. The only good thing about my meal were the home-made potato chips. That's why I'm giving this a 2-star rating instead of 1-star. Those chips were awesome. There were TONS of them. I had no idea that chips came with my meal! I probably ate more potato chips than sandwich. I'm just curious, though. WHY do they make it an option to get FRIES with the meal when there's already the equivalent of a whole potato (maybe even two) on the plate! And salad's not really an option? There's something wrong with this picture. Definitely will not be returning to The Honey Tree. Will just go to another Coney Island-type of restaurant, because there are tons more nearby that are way better.

The chefs create the best vegetarian omelette in Oakland county, in my opinion. The wait-staff is friendly, attentive, courteous, and responsive to requests made after the main meal is served. The coffee is excellent. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, particularly considering the consistently high quality of the breakfasts which so frequently used to enjoy. We stopped patronizing the Maple and Lahser location, only because the manager consistently ignored our repeated requests to reduce by 50% the volume of the piped-in music. The noise level at breakfast is beyond annoying. It will wreck your otherwise healthy appetite.

"I ate here a week ago on a Sunday, we had a party of 10, the next day 5 of us were sick and two of us ended up in the hospital. Be wary!"

I always get the veggie hummus wrap, and it's pretty good. Wife likes the Mediterranean combo. No frills, except plenty if TVs while you wait.

This is my 4th time there. Service is always great the staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is more upscale than your usually coney joint. I love the big booths and a tv is visible from every angle if that is your thing. it seems the food was always better on the days that it was not rush hour. The last time we were there my gyro plate was what was expected tasty but on the salty side. This trip the turkey rueben was like eating balsa wood with grill marks and the gyro plate was just as salty. In addition the fries from both orders were not as fresh as should be. We will give it another shot. we will let you know what happens
