A gem in the rough. Chicken Fried Rice is fresh and delicious everytime. Chicken Egg Rolls are AWESOME!!!!!!! Not a fan of the Mild General Tso from this place. All else has been great.

This is a fantastic place to grab Chinese take-out. They only use white-meat chicken, so it's nice and lean and delicious. The portions are HUGE and the prices are great. Under $7 for most dinner portions, and that includes fried rice and an egg roll. Pretty awesome. They let you choose your level of spiciness, too, which is nice. I highly recommend Pearl River if you're looking for some basic Chinese cuisine at a good price in the Ypsi area.

This is by far the best Chinese take out in the Belleville local area - quite possibly including Ypsi. We have ate here several times and the food is 1) great taste. 2) great value for price 3) Made fresh. For the person who said it was greasy - no idea where that is coming from. If anything, the egg rolls have been the least greasy I have had recently and the chicken is nice white "real" meat. Rice was good. All the food had great flavor. Would recommend "medium" as it's enough zing to know you are eating something good but nothing overpowering. Crab Rangoon is best by far. Not greasy (again). Very good filling that is thick and has flavor. Again - for the guy bashing on the price. Not sure what he expects in today's economics. For oursevles - we ordered 3 meals (main dish, rice, egg roll) with extra order of egg rolls (3) and crab rangoon. Got another crab rangoon free and we walked out paying just short of $30. That is a deal in my book - most importantly becasue the food was great. The three other Chinese places in Belleville we have eaten are not even close and to be honest - in some cases - terrible.

My wife and I are real picky about American-Chinese food and we loved it here. Not a great place to eat at because of the location, but great for take-out. The price for the amount of food was amazing!!!

Standard Americanized-Chinese menu with some kick. Place is your standard counter-order with a couple of tables. Looks and smells clean (the counterman washed his hands after each time he touched money -- how often do you see THAT?!) Ordered some spicy dishes and asked for them "extra spicy" and was pleasantly surprised to find them quite spicy (but still could have been hotter, but for a first-time they did great). Most dishes come in small/large or a combo. While it's not someplace to go for "authentic" Chinese food, it's quite tasty. Will definitely return for more take-away.

Disappointing , I give it a c-. Ordered three dishes, all very greasy, no sesame oil, no traditional Chinese spices, no garlic or ginger flavor permeated the chop suey type dish, almond boneless chicken or egg foo young. Styrofoam really makes the food less appealing. With a $25 price tag still looking for a decent Chinese take out in the Belleville area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
