This was my favorite bar when I still lived in Michigan. It is a country bar and has a live band that covers popular country songs. It has a huge dance floor, and on certain nights they teach line dancing and two step classes. In true country form, they serve drinks in mason jars! One tip is to avoid ordering drinks from the bar directly, because the bartenders are bitches. Very rude consistently. However, there are waitresses that float on the floor that are always friendly. This bar is perfect for Bachelorette Parties and/or a girls night out. Country Music + Cowboy Hats= Heaven on Earth. There is pool tables and darts in the back, and karaoke on Sundays.

This place has been on my radar for years as I have passed it on my way to the airport. It's a huge, Best Buy-type building sitting off I-94. The enormous marquee out front advertising "Hick-Hop Night" has haunted me since I first moved to Michigan. What does that even mean? I didn't know what to expect when I visited it last night, but I have to say that I ended up having a great time. There were roughly a hundred people in the bar, and I can say without a doubt that almost all of them seemed to be having a good time. That alone warrants 4 stars. There is a good mix of ages at the Diamondback Saloon, running from people in their early 20s to middle-aged couples. There are a couple of bars off to the side and a sunken dance floor with rings of tables around it. There is a live band that played country music and at least two dozen people got out on the floor and were line dancing at any given moment. I don't even like country music, but I appreciate the fact that the crowd was into it. The best thing about the Diamondback Saloon was that they didn't seem to take themselves too seriously. I mean, c'mon, it's country line dancing, right?. At one point an announcer asked if there were any women whose boyfriends were out hunting. If they were there alone, they should all bring $1 up to the bar for some "buck shots." That definitely happened. Beers were pretty cheap, but there was a $3 cover. It's mostly Bud, Bud Light, and LaBatt in bottles. You have to drive to get there, but that's not surprising. You know, it is Michigan.

Unfortunately this is a terrible bar and i warn anyone thinking about going here to reconsider! I have lived in the area and been here many times. Each time is the same. Drinks are poor, staff is ok but the MANAGEMENT / BOUNCERS are the worst! I wish this bar took more pride in the WHOLE BUSINESS itself. The only positive about this bar was its location otherwise its not worth your time. I will not be coming back

I visited this establishment back in November when Josh Gracin came to perform. We had always wanted to come check this place out. We're big Country Music fans and always heard about them on the radio, but the drive out to Belleville always kept us from going. When I first got there I was surprised by the size of the place. It was a lot bigger than I had imagined it. When we walked in, I was surprised by the number of bars, I think there were 2 or 3 and then a beer girl set up as well. I had high hopes for the night. As we continued to walk in the line dancing classes were going on which looked like a ton of fun, I love those kinds of things! It was definitely different and fun to learn. We found a table on one of the 3 leveled sides and waited to place our order. Service: Could have been better, but I don't completely blame the waitstaff. They only had one server for the 3 levels of each side. I feel like they were definitely under staffed. It was frustrating however when we had to constantly flag our server down to order. We would go spans of 20-30 minutes before we'd see her again. At one point, they had another girl walking around in the area, she asked if we needed anything, we gave her an order for some drinks, she brought them to us, then 20 minutes later yelled at me that she's not our server she's just "helping" out when I asked her for another beer. Here's what ruined my experience: We got there around 7:30. We knew that with Josh Gracin performing, it was going to be packed and we wanted to make sure we had a table. Around 8:00 we ordered a pizza. An hour later when we hadn't received our pizza, we flagged our server down and asked her about it, and at least she was honest, she totally forgot to put our order through. Fine, I understand it's crazy busy. An hour later we still hadn't received our pizza. We're talking about 10pm now, With how long we knew we were going to be there, and all the drinking we were planning on doing, we wanted to make sure we ate. I asked our server again about our pizza. She said she would go see what was going on. She returned about 15 minutes later and told me that they would "take our pizza off our tab if we chose not to go through with our order". What?!?!? That is the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. I told her that we would still like our pizza, and that I wanted to speak with a manger. She left. After a total of 3 hours, we finally received our pizza, but no manager had come by to talk to me yet. The poor server ( I did feel bad for her ) asked if a manager had come to speak to me yet, when I told her no, she pointed out the owner to me and said that honestly, it would be better if I went to go talk to him. So I went over to that owner and asked to speak with him privately. He took me into his office, with some over sized, unnecessary "body guard". I explained to him what we had dealt with, and laughingly said "Oh, you're the pizza people." After much debate and him arguing and interrupting me and basically saying he thought I was a complete idiot, he held his office door open to me. SO RUDE! What owner treats his customers that way? I was furious! During our discussion I told him that I not only want the pizza removed from my bill but at least a pitcher of beer as well, at least to make up for the disrespect I had to endure from him. When we received our bill from our server, it was literally just the total we owed. No itemized bill, you actually have to go up to the bar and they have to have the OWNER right out an itemized description of what your bill entails. NO WAY were we going to just pay our bill out right without knowing what we were paying for. The pizza and a pitcher was removed. I'm so disappointed that we had such a negative experience. I had such high hopes for this place. I will not be going back. If an owner could care less about his customers' experience than I do not want to give him my business. He doesn't deserve it.

Sadly I have to give this place one star because of how bad the bartenders were. All of them looked like they hated their job. I will not be back.

I went with a group of college students this past Friday to the saloon and had an awesome time. Our waitress Jessica was so sweet and very attentive. She made drink suggestions and seemed to understand The college-student budget instead of being annoyed by it which is what I most often encounter with bartenders/waitresses. The dj played great music, we had an awesome time dancing and I couldn't have asked for a better night! The only negative I found was that the food we ordered took forever but it's not the bar's fault because they have it brought in. Loved this place!

during some required driving for work, i would pass by the strangest, but enticing, sights; a obnoxiously large sign adorned with a neon-toned rattlesnake and lights to burn that image in for many miles after. after a few passes, i took it upon myself to see what was harbored in that massive cement slab. with a friend in tow, we drove up to a rather full parking lot and absorbed everything before finally gettin' all those answers that rattlesnake concocted in me. with a budding interest in authentic country music, the entire setting took me and drew the most genuine smile that were two parts amusement and one anticipation for what it all leads to. there was a cover charge. i'm not gonna whine since it was large enough to actually ask for three dollars. i'm not quite sure how many bars there were but i spotted two standard sets and two additional tubs of ice and bottles of whatever brew they had; probably bud light to go along with the theme of rural clubbing. the layout was something i never assumed i'd see. three-floor setting with a square-dance/dance floor at the bottom of the pit. to add to the spectacle, a live country band. they were quite good and fit with everything else that was mentioned. an odd sight was that of line-dancing to popular r&b hits from as early as the nineties and on to now. they designate a person to give lessons and some people made the most honest attempt; even if they we takin' in more of the night than they should have. seein', hearin', feelin', smellin' and just experiencing it was made me attempt to perform my first line dance. it only took me ten seconds to realize i wasn't in the shape to do so and just made myself a swaying spectacle. finally, in all that was said and drunk, it was a place that holds a special place in my little country-swooned heart. i'm sure the alcohol made the feelings to slip in easier. i recommend the experience of the diamondback. it's a story you can tell your urban friends.

Now this place gets four stars because I had such a great time. We had my bachelorette party there, and it was perfect. We were looking for a place with a lot to do, reserved section, can go outside to smoke and would let us do our thing, while being served alcohol. Perfect. We cleaned out their leftover champagne stock from last NYE, and kept the waitress running. The people there are hilarious to watch and the band wasn't bad either.

I went there on a Saturday night for a friends birthday. I showed up at 9 and the crowd is a little different. It runs the gamut from older couples to young people. The beers were nearly 5 bucks a bottle and the music was way too loud. They had a live band that played passable country and in between sets they played hip-hop. We spent most of our time on the deck however the mosquitoes were all over. Definitely not a place I want to go back to.

I recently visited after being insanely curious after passing the "giant shady bar on the side of the expressway" A friend of mine arrived there before me, he texted to say he was scared and wanted to leave... that's when I knew I had hit the jack-pot! The clientele is amazing! All kinds of retirement-aged couples all dolled up and line-dancing... heart-warming! The cocktail waitresses in short skirts come over offering shots with belts full of liquor and a tray holding a can of whipped cream... delightful! Mexican cowboys... a beautiful sight! They have dance lessons earlier in the evening and everyone is so friendly. Only negative: no mechanical bull. They have some clever idea of promoting the "8-second ride" but it's only a deceptively named drinking game! I felt totally jerked around when I found that out.
