One category of food that's pretty uniformly good in Adrian is Mexican. Salsaria's is a taqueria, mostly, but an expensive one (you could eat at Fiesta Ranchera for the same price). The real point of going to Salsaria's is to eat the salsa. Specifically, the medium salsa, which I could and occasionally do eat by the bucketful. Their chips are good, too; thin, crisp, and well-salted. I don't know what they put in the salsa, but seriously. Go get some now. The Tacos de Mexico aren't bad, and my husband enjoys the quesadillas (though to my taste the flour tortillas they use have that chemical-ish aftertaste). Their enchilada sauce is pretty darn good, which makes those a good choice. I'm not in love with their burritos. But seriously. The salsa almost made me give them five stars. Sometimes I pick up salsa from Salsaria's even if I'm having something else for dinner. I make good salsa but theirs is great, year round.

Let me start out by saying that this isn't the sort of place I'd take my parents to, but it's fantastic food. It's sort of a fast-casual restaurant with a no-frills seating area and an order-at-the-counter policy. The cheese enchiladas are fantastic. They use soft creamy cheese, sweet onions, and soft tortillas in a rich brown enchilada sauce. The rice and beans are great and the pico de gallo is always delicious. I dream about their enchiladas! I miss Salsarias, next time I'm in Adrian, I'll have to go back!

I visited this resturant tonight. I found the white cheese dip extremely salty and the chips plain. My husband ordered the tacos that were pretty much lettuce, tomatoes and cheese and very little beef. I ordered the steak burrito that was all rice ,refined beans and minimal amount of cheese and maybe 5 very small pieces of steak. Not to mention we had to ask the waitress for silverware which was just a fork wrapped in a napkin, and then had to ask for a knife to cut through the burrito . Our table was dirty and the staff was spending more time chit chatting then giving quality food. I would not come back to this resturant.

Took Fam to dinner at Salsaria's. Had the cheese enchilada special. Big hit. Beef enchilada and tacos very good. The salsa bar had nice options, best thing is it tasted fresh, chips were warm and good. All in all nice experience. The booths were beat up but clean. Staff was helpful and nice. Will be back. Prices are great value.

I love this place. Seriously IN LOVE with this place! I've been going here since before it was Salsaria's, and have always enjoyed their food. My favorite is the cheese enchilada, that comes with this rice that is amazing. I don't know what they do to it, but I"ve never been able to get another platter of cheese enchilada and rice that is the same quality, taste, or flavor in another city anywhere. Sure, the price points are a little high, but last I heard, they try to source a lot of thier good somewhat locally, so I think that's worth giving them extra points. And as Jennifer D. Suggests, yes, their Salsa is outstanding. I can't wait to go back.

This place is a great lunch place, our food came out fast and it was very tasty. I had the barbacoa tacos, which were pretty authentic style with grilled tortillas (not crispy). My wife ordered the chicken tacos which she said were also very good. The salsa bar had great salsa. It was pretty much pico de gallo and salsa in various levels of spiciness, with cilantro, onion, and jalapeño as add-ins. I would come back the next time I'm in the area and would recommend this place to others!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
