LOVEEE FRESCO MEXICAN GRILL!!!! Go there around 3X/month it's that good!!! When you walk in the atmosphere is bright, fun, and festive! They have great DAILY deals especially Tuesdays... 50 cent tacos!!!! They have fun karaoke competitions, taco eating, and other great things like Halloween costume competitions too where you win great prizes!! Oh yeah and the margaritas, they are a MUST TRY!! Tried the 1800 Coconut drink...Ahhmazing! Plus a great selection of draft beer, wine, and other drinks! Delicious, fresh tortilla chips with the freshest salsa when you are seated...SO GOOD...usually can't stop eating them! Also, just tried the Enchiladas Roja with steak..will definitely be getting that again!! Didn't stop eating until my plate was clean! Even the side dishes (rice, black beans, refried beans) are so flavorful, VERY IMPRESSED! And all very affordable! LOVE the enchiladas, tacos, taquitos, chimichangas, rice, beans! I consider myself a foodie and their stuff is good! They also have some to die for desserts!! Try the Deep Fried Ice Cream and the Mexican Twist!!! Usually must leave room for one of these!!! The service is also GREAT at Fresco! Great staff, atmosphere, and damn good food!! Cool place to have a few drinks, play pool/shuffle board and just hang out! Also during the summer a lovely outdoor patio! Definitely go check this place out!!!! 5 STARS!!!!

This is by far the best Mexican food in the area... The service is outstanding and the food is authentic and flavorful. The pricing is comparable to other local restaurants (or even chains) but there's an awesome special each night that makes it super affordable if you take advantage. We were there for the first time tonight (on a Thursday) for the $6 pitchers of house margaritas, and they were awesome!! I usually am not a fan of house margaritas but their mixture was very good. I also tried the pineapple-mango sage margarita and it was out of this world. Best margarita I've ever had. We ate the baby chimi app, I had the steak fajita bowl, my husband had the mexican tour and our daughter had chicken fingers and fries. All of it was delicious, hot, authentic and plentiful. We have enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow, which is always a plus! We had Autumn as our waitress and she was fabulous- very pleasant and friendly, knew the menu well, and didn't rush us at all. She was chatty but not too much so and you could tell she felt at ease and enjoyed her job. I really cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We live in Rollinsford, so it's about 25 minutes away from us, but this was so worth the drive. Our favorite food to eat out is Mexican and we haven't found anything nearby that compares (yes- I'm looking at you, overpriced Margaritas chain!!) Frescos is the real deal!!!!

Great service, but that's about it. Magaritas don't taste like magaritas, some of the food came out cold, blan chips and salsa. Try it out Maybe you will have better luck. Owner was a good guy hope he does well!

The food at Frescos is beyond horrible. Everything tasted old or microwaved! The meat in the fajitas tasted bad and we have been sick now since eating there last night. The food is bland and not authentic at all. The atmosphere was a joke. I give this restaurant very little time before it's closed. Should have known better to check yelp before I ate there. Edited 10/25-For those of you leaving compliments just to berate me because my opinion is the food is bad at this restaurant. I am sorry if your standards are poor but myself and others I know have all had bad experiences. Let's face it they had 3 stars at the old location for a reason, if I could have given zero stars I would have. Maybe my review was short and to the point but nonetheless it's my review so stop sending me back door bully tactics because your friends with the restaurant. My food was horrible and I will continue to tell everyone I know so they don't waste their money like I did.

Service was good - friendly staff who were quick to seat us and explained food well, including the fact that the meals are mildly seasoned. Unfortunately, the food is not seasoned at all. Most bland Mexican food I have ever consumed. Seriously, not even seasoned with salt. Not something that can be remedied simply by adding hot sauce. The salsa just tasted like diced tomato with sugar. Wish this food was tasty, but it is not.

It is pretty awful mexican food. Extremely bland not a bit of flavor to be found. The food also took a bit too long. It you are looking for flavorless food with not a trace of Mexican taste maybe this place would be okay. Otherwise it's seems like a first time attempt to make mexican food for the family by throwing boiled meat into a taco shell or pastry and calling it mexican. The only thing good was the service. Very nice people and they seem to do a great job.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
