Sept 16 2014. Had the unfortunate thought of stopping at Rosa Lindas for breakfast. Horrble!! Horrible!! 20 minute wait for coffee and being rudely seated at the furthest seat from the door. I use a cane, which was very visable. Had to walk past a number of empty tables. Breakfast for my wife and I was a nightmare. I ordered 2 eggs over medium with home fries ans sausage and white toast. Eggs came back way under cooked, the whites were running onto the plate. The toast was dry and cold, home fries were a joke. COLD cut cubes of frozen potatos. Isent my nightmare back via the waitress. She never even said sorry. She just hauled ass for the kitchen with my breakfast. As I am waiting, the table behind us was complaining to another waitress of under cooked sausage and dry toast. The table beside us ordered a plate of home fries and they refused to eat them and left leavibg the whole plate on the table. One half hour after My breakfast went back to the kitchen the waitress tells me its "on the grill" I told her to forget it we were leaving. Not once did ANYONE say they were sorry nor did a manager come to our table. AWful. Save your money and go next door to McDonalds. Much better deal and less money. My bill was $9.26 for my wifes bacon and eggs, and 2 coffees!! Unreal.

I just don't understand how this place can have a full parking lot and food that is so bad. I have never heard of a place that has a breakfast menu that does not poach eggs. I guess that fact that every other item on the menu had a consuming raw meat or eggs warnings as a sign to get out. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with two eggs over easy (because they don't do poached eggs). Well there was a biscuit and there was gravy but not enough to cover the biscuit and the eggs were over cooked. My daughter ordered the French toast and it had no flavor at all, it was just Wonder bread dipped in egg and over cooked on the griddle. I will not return.

Stopped in for breakfast. Place was busy but we were seated quickly. Food was good and we did not have to wait too long. Server was pleasant and fairly prompt. Everything on the plates was hot and fresh when served. Would consider stopping here again if in the area.

I was a little nervous, afraid I would turn to dust from being forgotten but that was not the case. Service was very good and attentive. Ceasar salad was really good. I liked the rolls. Ordered penne and meatballs, I liked it. I'd come here again

The food was good, lobster roll fresh an yummy, chicken parmesan top notch. The service was a problem. Two things were evident right away: 1. They live to serve their regulars, to heck with anyone else. 2. Once your order is placed you can forget about ever seeing your server again. Our food was great, but drinks always empty. Our server was in the dining room filling syrup containers but never looked at us (I had to get up and go ask for refills, then do the same for the check). The other server was having a loud argument with a customer over coupons/specials and I may have been the only customer who didn't have firsthand memories of the Roosevelt administration. But, again, the food was super good. At the end, after we finally got the check, our server started to give us the "its so tough when we are busy to give attentive service" line. I am not exaggerating, we were one of four occupied tables in the whole place. And there were at least two servers. They both did side work the whole time we were there. If you always wished Denny's served better food this is the place for you. Don't make any plans for after your meal, you will be late.

Whenever we leave the OOB area we stop here for breakfast on our way out. Food is always delicious (I love their chocolate chip pancakes), service is always very friendly, restaurant is always very clean, and the menu is very easy to read and handle. I've only ever been here for breakfast, but I would stop her for another meal given the opportunity. I really enjoy this place, and I always leave satisfied. It's very reasonably priced too. If the owner reads this, we found out about your restaurant through your fly by ads over OOB!

We stopped at Old Orchard Beach for the night on our way back from Boston to Canada, and since barely anything was open yet for the season, we drove into Saco for some options. There are very few besides fast food! So we stopped here with minimal expectations, but were satisfied by the time we left. The place is just your standard family restaurant, without much for decor, but clean and good enough. There were only two tables taken when we arrived around 7:30pm on this sunny Wednesday in early May. I'd guess there are at least 20 tables and booths altogether. It took someone a few minutes to greet us at the entrance and seat us, but I think there were only two floor staff working but they had their hands full literally serving the other two tables at that exact moment. But it wasn't much of a wait, and our server was quick and friendly when we got to our table. Free bread right out of the oven was a tad doughy but good nonethless. I ordered the spaghetti with tomato sauce which was basic, but definitely did the trick for the pasta craving I was having that night. My Caesar salad was also quite standard but I ate every last bite and enjoyed. My partner tried the buffalo tender dinner (9.49) (four chicken strips in sauce) which he liked, with a scoop of mashed potatoes and a side Caesar as well. As much as this place is simple and not exciting, I enjoyed it enough to definitely go back if we ever stop in the area again, and I suspect the breakfast is very good...just a feeling.

Great service, good food that was made to order. Allowed substitute, & when asked for something added they did so without hesitation.

Large place, busy but service quick. Stopped in for breakfast. Server was very pleasant and food was delicious. I didn't love the coffee but I admit I'm a coffee snob. I would definitely try it again. Reasonably priced and several large booths/tables to accommodate larger parties.

My son has gluten and dairy allergies. Most places it's no problem to order him scrambled eggs and bacon without milk or butter; however, here they flat out refused to do so and there was nothing else he could eat. They would make eggs sunny side up that were safe, but apparently scrambling them to order was a step too far? Anyway, DO not go here if you have dietary restrictions; chances are they will not be able to accommodate you. At least they were honest about it, I suppose?

This is an okay diner. That's all Rosa Linda's is. They serve decent food at prices that are a little too high--probably due to the location that is Route 1 in Saco. I was most disappointed in the way our waitress replied when we visited. The way she responded was a little rude when we asked about the menu items. From this, we discovered there is little to no room for substituting anything. If you're looking for a place to bring the kids, I wouldn't recommend Rosa Linda's if you have picky eaters because there are not many options to customize a meal. Also, 3 out of the 4 times we visited the food took awhile to come out, even though we were the only customers there. If you're on the go and looking for a quick bite, I wouldn't suggest this stop.

I've been to Rosalinda's a handful of times and had a so-so experience. Then I tried going in for an omelet and was totally disappointed. None of the filling were cooked and it just didn't taste good. We left and went to the Dunks across the street. Sad to say, I won't be back.

Ordered the fried haddock and my wife ordered the homemade pot pie. Both were good...just good. It's a diner that serves diner food. Much better than going to any of the fast food restaurants. Couldn't hurt to add some seasonings. Will go back.

All summer long I kept on seeing these planes fly over the beaches, trailing banners advertising the great grub at Rosalinda's. Haddock Dinner, $8,39, Ham and Egg Breakfast, $4,23. Well, advertising works, especially when the restaurant offers such wacky prices! Finally after the 68th flyover I decided to try it out. The parking lot was packed, the restaurant was packed with tourists babbling away in English and Québécois, it must be a great place, right? Wrong, man. What a lame breakfast! Tasteless industrial eggs, hash out of a can, barely even warm, beans out of a can, barely even warm, homefries soggy and pathetic. But hey, all that grub only cost me $5,36!! This place funnels you in one entrance, then funnels you out a separate one. It looks like a school cafeteria inside (well, hey, at least my memories of them), and has a corresponding coating of grime. And the coffee stank, are you surprised? But the cup was bottomless, so does that make up for it? The waitstaff were friendly, and I have respect for the job they have to endure: slinging hash for the summer crowd looking for the cheapest slop to fill their tummies before they go play "digesting reptile" on the Saco/OOB beaches. Gross, man. If you do go, leave a good tip for the hard-working ladies there!! I wanna go back in the winter and try their dinners, maybe the cooking improves when they actually have to compete for customers.

There is a lot of food and it's pretty good but I was sad to see a waitress throw an empty plastic milk carton in the trash. It's bad enough to see wasted food but please recycle!

That was a disappointment. We went to Rosa Linda's for breakfast and it was a let down. The hostess walked us to the nearest table, threw two menus down, and mumbled "Is this okay?" as she walked away before we could answer. The only bright spot was our server & I think her name was Bonnie. She deserves to work in a better restaurant. The coffee was miserable, the toast was barely warm, the bacon was incredibly thin and fatty, and the corned beef hash tasted like it was right out of the can. To their credit, there was a significant amount of cheese in the hash and cheese omelet. The clientele was probably the most interesting thing about Rosa Lindas. There was a sea of over-chromed Harleys in the parking lot and they all seemed to be driven by retired dentists and accountants. It wasn't hard to figure out who was still with their wife of 40 years and who had run off with the receptionist. After seeing the number of jackets, t-shirts, and tank tops with Harley's corporate logo on them, I really want to buy some stock in the Harley Davidson because these people have given Harley a license to print money. Back to Rosa Linda's. Two stars is being generous, but our server was really nice and the crowd was entertaining. And this is the first time I've seen a restaurant that said "Family Restaurant" out front and had a big bar inside. At some point they changed their name from Rosa Linda's Pizzeria & Cafe to Rosa Linda's Family Restaurant.

We have gone in here for years, and it has been fantastic , until today ! ! Fish and chips- - - overcooked and 1 skimpy piece of haddock. The waitress served my husband butter with his hot coffee, instead of cream. BEWARE this is NOT the old Rosalinda's ! !

We go here every year several times when we are in Old Orchard. This year we went with a party of 8. 4 Adults and 4 children. The hostess they had was not very good. Anyone knows on a weekend morning during breakfast you don't sit a party of 3 in a booth that fits 7-8. They ended up having to sit us a 2 diffrent tables which had diffrent waitresses. We sat all the kids at 1 table and us adults at another. The waitresses did great. They took the kids orders and got the food out fast. Like I said the food at breakfast has always been good. Just they need to train the hostess to seat people better during a breakfast rush.

Pretty basic--but still a great restaurant serving American style cuisine, with an attentive waitstaff. Older people seem to especially love this place. My favorite entree to get is the turkey dinner.

There are definitely two distinct Sacos within a very short span of Route 1 past the Auto Mile and amusement parks in Scarborough. The first stretch of Route 1 is chock-a-block full of fast food establishments and other vestiges of a motorized culture. It certainly is overstimulating. As you continue southbound and down, past Thornton Academy, the gestalt is surprisingly more serene. The more time I spend here, the more I realize how many truly historic residences are still standing and notice that Main Street is still alive and well with a diverse selection of businesses bursting with that hometown feel reminiscent of the 1950's. Rosalinda's, however, resides in the first stretch and probably is overlooked by many because it is squeezed into a tiny spot between a frozen yogurt place (Brain Freeze) and something else I can't recall but I think it's Kerryman's Pub. The name brings to mind perhaps a Mexican Restaurant but it's really just simple homecooking that caters to families. On one of the last nights of August, we had the opportunity to take a car for a test drive and my DC has been bugging me to go here for awhile based on the cheap breakfasts offered. We arrived, entered and were given a choice of a booth or table. I ALWAYS TAKE THE BOOTH! Love the booth!!! Though the dining room was sparsely populated, we were seated next to a large Quebecois family. That always makes me happy. You see, I lived in Quebec for awhile and always noted how family-oriented the culture seems to be. The children are well behaved, the adults enjoy each other's company. Everyone is involved with the conversation. They are well dressed, well spoken and just seem to be happier than Americans. Also, I really try hard to listen to their conversation to see if I can understand what's being said. Usually it takes a few minutes before I can really identify the subject. I still have no idea what they were talking about and only picked up a few words here and there. But onto the review, Chelsea came by and was really chipper and efficient despite the late hour. She presented us with plasticized menus and my eyes were drawn to the 2 specials for $17. The prices are higher than the online menu. And it was homecooking! Shepherd's Pie, Meatloaf, American Chop Suey, Baked Ham Dinner plus some Italian dishes. And you get to choose a side dish though the number varies between dishes. It is not clearly explained on the menu how many sides you get just so you know. Other menu items are presented in sections like, pizza, burgers, subs/sandwiches, salads, seafood and appetizers. We noted a full bar and that the place had recently been updated. Drinks, though bottomless, are pricey and prices are not printed on the menu so we asked. We were quoted $2.19 but were charged $2.29. We were also offered nice warm rolls and were cheerfully presented with a second basket. I ordered the shepherd's pie and it was a hefty, layered portion of crusty mashed potato on top, hamburger and creamed corn. Along with a side of pickled beets. I think it was my old lady from Maine alter ego who took over at that point. We'll call her "Doris" and she hails from somewhere in Somerset County. She's 78, attends church regularly, has a passel of grandbabies, greets veterans as they return home from their deployments, definitely voted for Paul LePage and delivers meals on wheels. She is definitely down for some Shepherd's Pie and can whip up some for a church supper in her sleep! Anyway, I thoroughly relished every smooth, salty, hearty morsel of this revered Maine dish popularized by the likes of Marjorie Standish. My DC loved his baked ham dinn-ah and the real mashed taters on the side. We declined when offered dessert and left shortly after our friends from the Nord left. Perhaps we'll be back for breakfast!

This is the worst breakfast I have had in years. Wonder bread toast, corned beef hash pushed out of a can and cut in patties and grilled. Home fries that look like the frozen ones from wal-mart and then dropped in the fry-o-later. 2 people for breakfast with tip $20.00. I wouldn't pay $1.99 for these meals. Sorry to say the big breakfast at McDonalds next door is much better!
