Fast, friendly service. My girlfriend needs to eat gluten-free. We ordered a small pepperoni and hamburg pizza with the gluten-free crust. It was really good for myself who hasn't eaten a lot of gluten-free products. Service was awesome, staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very nice for it being Super Bowl Sunday and how busy they were. I recommend PHOP to anyone looking for a good meal, many choices on the menu as well as so new dishes. Try it out for yourself you won't be disappointed.

A great place for getting your pizza! Either to sample the goodness. Or to chow down for a party snack! When you enter the area. You will see that the opening/closing times are oriented for lunch times. So it's taking healthy eating for all! And when you go past the cool double doors. You're greeted to nice books for a dollar or so. So families. This is a suggestion! Also. The staff is very cheery. With a smile that all of the staff share. When you sit down. You can get a nice. Refillable drink in your cup with the drink vendor to the left of the area! Also there's trivia cards on every table. So if you get bored. You can just play some good old trivia! When you get your pizza. You have a nice. Fun paper with child activities! Once again. Parents should go here! And the pizza is just scrumptious! And the fries are a double plus for the excellent flavor! The only negative is that rarely they switch out your meal for the nearest alternative. Like one time I asked for a pepperoni pizza and fries. But I got a family special because it was close to my order. Overall. This is a decent place for pizza! So come on over for some great food!

Ordered out for a quick dinner. I decided on a chicken Caesar salad and the sausage and pepper penne dish. Salad was awesome and was plenty for one person's entire meal. The penne dish was a large portion as well, but a little flavorless. We added some parm cheese, S&P and it was fine. There was also a little salad left that made for a nice side to the pasta. All in all, for a total of $16, can't really go wrong. They were very pleasant on the phone and had our meal ready to go in 15 min. Will definitely head back on any lazy, don't want to cook at home, night. Or pick up some sandwiches and head out for a day in the boat!

Our favorite go-to place for takeout! Consistently good pizzas, subs, calzones and salads. Try their Thai Kwon Dough pizza or Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza specials - tasty! And of course you can build your own as well. They have done in seating, but we've only ever done takeout.

Easily the best pizza ive had in portland. Would eat this over slab, otto, sianos or any of the other decent pizza joints in the area. Marinara was perfect, crust was perfect, toppings were quality and plentiful. Ive lived in Portland for 3 years and I cant believe I just discovered this place last month! Its a little out of the way but definitely worth it.

Portland House of Pizza! They have great food-I especially like their steak & cheese (no fat) with mushrooms (so good!). I also love their bacon pizza & crispy chicken salad. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because every time I go in there it's almost like you're bothering someone. They act kinda like Stavros or "Stav-e-s" as I call them. Like "why are you here" or "are you a tourist" trying not to be harsh-just wonder why they aren't friendly- Smile guys ;) want to see your customers. We love your food but would rather go elsewhere for better attitudes.

We were very disappointed to receive an overcooked pizza after the long wait. It was modarately crowded, but we have seen much busier. Good thing, the cashier was very nice.

Been ordering take out here for over 15years....the delivery service is solid....very few mistakes or glitches over 15 plus years I love the wraps.....turkey club wrap being my favorite... Their salads are solid....I get the tuna salad, extra tuna as a great meal by itself. Pizza is good....not great...I like the mushroom, onion, and sausage... The cheeseburger sub is a nice so to.... Overall a decent take out spot if you are in deering or north deering areas

The food here is what you expect at a house of pizza. Everything is always good, I've never found anything bad, but I've also never found anything standout that I need to order every time. It's a safe place to stop for a good meal if you don't want to make any other plans for a busier restaurant and you won't leave disappointed with whatever you get.

We ordered delivery and since I am lactose intolerant, my boyfriend specified double bacon hamburger with no cheese. When it arrived, my burger had cheese on it. When my boyfriend called back, the girl told him it wasn't their fault because the ticket didn't say no cheese. When they delivered my replacement order (and yes we tipped the driver again since it wasn't his fault) the burger had no cheese... Or bacon. Needless to say I gave up. I am giving them 2 stars because my boyfriend enjoyed his order.

I used to revere this beloved pizza place above all others in Portland...but their prices just keep going up and up, and the quality at best has stayed the same...and on my most recent visit clearly has gone down. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and green peppers...which came up to a whopping 18 bucks and change..that's insane! To make things worse, I got the pizza and it looked like they'd had a cheese pizza already cooking that they just threw toppings on--the toppings clearly weren't there for the full time it was in the oven and weren't fully cooked. I expected more from you PHOP, especially for 18 dollars. The food no longer warrants the price. There are plenty of other local offerings that are cheaper and make equally good pizzas if not better ones, such as Amatos next-door.

My experiences here vary. Sometimes am greeted by the guy I'm assuming is the manager and he is always enthusiastic and in top of his game. Other times I've been greeted by not so friendly staff. Sometimes people that order after me get their food long before I do. I do love the wraps. The food is their forte.

The PHOP! Hey, don't go here if you're going to go criticizing how good the pizza is, this is a place strictly for us hungry people to grab a tasty bite to eat and not have to spend too much. The service is fast and friendly, the menu has lots of choice and you won't be bored waiting for your meal if you didn't order over the phone because their booths each have puzzle games :D

The first time I ordered the buffalo wings arrived smashed and cold. The second time I ordered the ham Italian, I received a mayonnaise sandwich. Called in both times, got attitude from girl on phone. There won't be a third order. Gross.

When my sister had her 1st child she said we couldn't visit in the hospital unless we brought a wheat crust-low fat cheese pizza from PoHOP. Enough said. Very friendly staff. Great for families. Difficult to not become a regular.

These guys can do no wrong. Whatever you order, you will love, and enjoy it while surrounded by the atmosphere of an establishment that takes it's job seriously. On top of the fact that the food is amazing, the staff friendly, and the building smartly organized, the prices are very good. It's great for easy, tasty eats, and if you're looking for local flavors or specialties then head to the old port. This place serves you great food in its purest ideal form. There's no particularly special frills or innovations, but they are unneeded. Eat here, and you will leave happy.

I feel like if I ask for them not to put things on sandwiches , and ask for things on the side they just will not do it . It happens a lot but I love the food so much it's worth not having it your way !

Portland's best pizza, by far! Lunch specials are incredibly affordable. Great salads, sandwiches, fries, rings - you name it.

There are so many spots in Portland to get pizza, each one has a different specialty. The thing about PoHOP is that they do more than just great pizza (the wheat crust is very good) - good subs, pasta, sandwiches. Great dining room too, so we find it an easy place to go for a quick bite when there is a group of people, all wanting something a little different. Now we have family from out of town that request to go here!

Some of the best pizza in Portland! This is our family favorite. We order at least once a week and always come back. Locally owned and operated. Full menu is available. The lowfat cheese pizza on wheat crust is actually good and has taste. I love extra onion. For calzones and sandwhiches we go next door to Amato's. But pizza? PHOP is on speed dial.

I'm on a personal mission to find the best pizza in Portland. Unfortunately my search will continue. My only rule when comparing pizza is that it has to be a plain cheese pizza. This is the only way to accurately compare pies because they are being judged on the 3 most important pizza components; the cheese, the sauce, and the crust. The verdict on PHOP is that the crust was bland and dry, the cheese was rubbery, and the sauce was ok but there wasn't enough of it which added to the overall dry and rubbery texture of this pie. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the service was quite good. the delivery guy was polite and I had my pizza in a timely manner. If you disagree with my review then I urge you to go to Micucci's on India street around lunch time and try a slice of their Sicilian slab. Then you'll know what a pizza should taste like.

On our final evening my fiancee was at whit's end: he was craving pizza, wanted pizza, absolutely needed pizza otherwise he was sending me packing a day earlier on my own. As opposed to grabbing grub from the Pizza Hut across the street or the usual Domino's, we opted for the more local fare. Again, we used the phone book (we really should have learned our lesson from the previous Thai catastrophe) and found this place with relatively high expectations. Unfortunately they only deliver within a two mile radius so we took the initiative, dialed our order in and made the seven mile drive. We ordered a large "meatza" (cheese, meat and more meat) and mozzarella sticks. The pizza was cooked exactly as I had specified, extra well done. This was an automatic plus: usually when I call with this small request I'm still given a pale, doughy mess. The crust was crunchy, the cheese bubbling hot and the meat, seasoned and tasty. The crust could have used some extra flavour however: it was a little bland but still good enough considering the heavy toppings. In fact, the toppings were so hearty my poor stomach could only down a slice and a half. The mozzarella sticks were typical and average but the marinara sauce was obviously spiked with some super secret addictive drug: it was fabulous and totally unexpected! Sweet, spicy and completely full of vitamin-YUM. I would heartily recommend asking for extra marinara to dip your pizza, etc in. It's rare when we finish off the sauce but that lil sucker was gone before the appetizer went. Overall, it was good. Not an extreme, life changing explosion in my mouth good, but satisfying, reasonable and.. well... good. I have no qualms checking out the rest of their menu next time I'm in Portland.
