After our horrible night at the Herbert Grand Hotel the River Port Inn was absolute heaven; its wonders made me simply giddy. Upon returning for another visit it turned out to be just a pretty nice, reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast and not actually the promised hereafter. Both times we stayed in the room on the second floor in the front of the house. It looked out over the road and the river, not a stunning view but pleasant. The beds were pretty bouncy but we always slept well. The ceiling was pretty low but at six feet I never bumped my head. The private bathroom was pretty awesome. It had plenty of space and a clean well maintained whirlpool tub that two people could reasonably sit in. It also had a coffee maker. Breakfast wasn't that great. If you feel you need something get an egg sandwich to go and start your day in the great outdoors a little sooner. Update: I totally forgot to include this. River Port Inn is very close to Kingfield, like Three Stanley Avenue. However, the walk in is a bit sketchier because it's along Rt. 27 and goes over a bridge without sidewalks.
