The ice cream was terrific, but I would not recommend the lobster roll. The sandwiches come on a large hamburger type roll and the lobster meat is scarce and what you do get is chewy and flavorless. I heard they do a good job with steamed lobsters.

Great food and service, fresh seafood. Best chowdah on eastern seaboard. Dont leave without a lobster roll or even a whole lobster. Can't wait to come back for more.

The large lobster roll was outstanding, and my son really enjoyed his fish and chips. The cooked lobster plate took a while and slowed down our order. The prices are quite reasonable, we spent under $40 for enough food for our family of four. Nice to see one place in Maine that isn't gouging customers on lobster pricing, especially given how cheap it is at the docks. They sell amazing local Maine-made ice cream - my son highly recommends the Muddy Bean Boots flavor! (Vanilla with caramel streaks and brownie bits -yummy!). The best part was the service, the woman who waited on us could not have been nicer. Highly recommend.

It's now my understanding that when you want to get a lobster roll in Maine, you have to hit up one of the many shacks on the side of the road. This shack is definitely a great place to stop. Pleasant happy faces, good fast food. Well, quick food anyways. I think it's a bit insulting to call this place fast food. We had lobster rolls and an order of onion rings--the onion rings were enough to share for one order, though I don't think Ned knew that my plan was to not order any and then eat half of his. The lobster rolls were perfect, exactly what you might imagine: cold, lightly spiced lobster salad, crunchy celery, light mayo. They have bottled beer and tables outside. It was a lovely sunny day, just a teensy bit chilly in late September, and their outside patio is great. They have these two lawn chairs shaped like lobsters with a sign encouraging photos. I would have taken one but SOMEone didn't want to pose/post to facebook. Not naming names. They also have a playground for the kiddies! If this place is on your way and you're feeling hungry, stop.

Good place to stop on the way to/from Bar Harbor. I hadn't eaten a lobster in quite a while, and honestly, I'd forgotten how small a 1 lb lobster is, so I can't blame them for that. In any case, at $14 for the lobster and some fries and slaw, can't complain too much! Also, we appreciated that they had a veggie burger on the menu.

Our family was pleasantly surprised at how fresh, well portioned and delicious the food was here at this little lobster "shack". They have two sizes of lobster rolls, we went for the large and it was served on a footlong hotdog bun, toasted. The lobster meat was very lightly seasoned with mayo; in fact if you like mayo, you may want to ask for extra. There was a ton of lobster meat in the roll, in fact it kept falling out of the roll when I took a bite! My husband got onion rings and they were lightly battered, like the ones you would get at a county fair. I got the sweet potato fries; both of the sides were so large they themselves would have fed three people. Our son got the boneless chicken wings and said they were fantastic, my daughter got the kids chicken nuggets and they came out in a large bed of fries, fresh and hot....very good portion for a kid (I think there were about 6 or 8 small size nuggets, but white meat, not ground.). There was plenty of seating on picnic tables outside or a place to sit at indoors. There was also a small kids playground set that kept the kids busy while we waited for our order. All in all, a great place. Wish we had found it earlier in our vacation. This is one place we will definitely come back to!

This place served a top notch lobster roll! I think it trumped the fancy one at Eventide in Portland! A small is bigger than you'd guess. Can't wait to visit Maine again and return here!!

We had a decent dinner here of fried scallops, haddock and clams, which we split between 2 adults and 2 kids. It was plenty of food (though most of it was fries). Which was nice because the price was a shocker. More than $50 for those three items. Still, the portions here were larger than at another seafood shack closer to Acadia, so I didn't feel totally ripped off. We sat at a picnic bench and feasted. There was a playground for kids in the back.

So....I ordered from the road. I told the lady I was 20 min. out and she understood. Ordered off their website. The clam roll was priced at 5.50 and the pulled pork 2.75 (lunch special) When we picked up the order we were charged 6.95 for the pulled pork and 10.95 for the clam roll! She said the price must have gone up on the clams and the lunch special was only until 3pm. I told her that was a significant hike in price and they needed to update their menu. The menu did not indicate that lunch special was over at 3pm. I showed them my phone and their menu on their website and he said that was last years and he would let the manager know ....he seemed like the manager actually. The onion rings and fries were soggy from "steaming" in the bag...I guess.

My daughter and I had lobster and steamers. Finest place for lobster in 20 mile radius. Always fresh. About 1/3 the price of the area tourist traps. If you enjoy lobster and steamers it is well worth going out of your way to enjoy the food!

Tried a lobster roll a few years ago when they opened.. it was huge but the lobster was clearly not fresh. On two subsequent occasions I have purchased live lobsters aqnd each time I was "accidentally" overcharged. Coincidence? I have heard the same complaint from others. The live lobsters are fine and the prices ok, but be careful to weigh your lobsters yourself on the outside scale and calculate the correct price!

Smallest lobster in Maine. I've tried lobsters in Maine and Rhode Island. This place had the smallest and saltiest lobsters I've eaten thus far. For 20$ I expected a lot more from a restaurant near the shoreline. Service was good so I added 3 star.

It was a perfect afternoon snack of a shared scallops basket while sitting outside on a glorious day. Scallops were large and cooked just right. Fries were hot. Cole slaw fresh. Friendly lady in the window. We'd stop there again.

My family lives locally and when I visit, we love to get whole cooked lobster as take-out from here. We call ahead when we're about 20 minutes away and the lobster is ready when we get there for a great price-- my mom and I got two lobsters all ready to eat for $11 last week! The fact that they have ice cream too is great.

Had lunch there today and the food is delicious, the staff was polite and very helpful, and the prices were very reasonable. It's great to see a local person thrive in his business in his hometown. Did I mention how delicious the food is and a very polite, friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. I wish very restaurant was like yours.

We visit here every time we are traveling home from Downeast Maine. For $33 we can get two lobster rolls and more than enough fries for both of us! I've considered going other places, but the consistency and price point make the decision for us every time. The lobster is always great and plentiful, and the friendliness of the staff can't be beat! I anticipate stopping by again later this summer. Thanks for the great meal!

Once again, Yelp came to the rescue when searching for a place to grab a bite to appease some angry tummies. Like there was ever any doubt that Yelp would fail me. While driving up to my rental house (Airbnb for the win on that one), the group of four in the car proclaimed dire hunger and set me in charge of a late lunch spot. I happened upon Carrier's, saw decent reviews, and put the address into the GPS, all while hoping for the best. What happened next was the four of us had the best meal of our vacation outside of the ones we made ourselves. I ordered the crab roll and am still, like right the second, salivating over it. Fresh crab NEVER happens in Oklahoma so to this land locked gal, this pure crab meat was manna from heaven. There was nothing on it! Just crab! I hit it with a squeeze of lemon then devoured it. My husband got one tiny bite because I clearly one on who ordered the best item. Stop here. Eat the crab. Heck, order the fiddleheads if they're in season too. And thank Yelp for pointing you here.

Our group stopped here on the way to Acadia and it was delicious and in a beautiful setting. The lobster roll and haddock burger were wonderfully flavored and cooked to perfection. There is a swing set for kids and you can eat indoors or out.

So here is the problem. There was so much lobster on their large roll, I could not eat it as a sandwich. Very fresh lobster and wonderful onion rings. Very nice.
