This is a great little greasy spoon type breakfast place. The food isn't anything special but it's cheap, filling and really hits the spot the morning after a hard night of drinking. The staff here is awesome and the owner has a great memory for faces which gives it kind of a Cheers atmosphere sometimes.

As a woman unknown to them having breakfast alone, I got the stone cold treatment from the waitress and the other patrons. They were totally rude, didn't even want to nudge their chairs when I tried to go through to use the restroom. The waitress was sarcastic and then ignored me. Besides which, the food is terrible. I've had crepes there 3 times, the first time was okay, with plenty of blueberries, but the crepes were underdone. The next two times they tasted like onion, this should not be the case with blueberry crepes! Like they fried everything, savory and sweet, on the same skillet using the same utensils. There are good places in Biddo, this ain't one of them.

My boyfriend and I decided to give Jonesy's a try after a recommendation from family. First impression: When we walked in, it smelled musty and stale, and it was hotter than hot. On a day that was a comfortable 60 or so degrees out, the heat did not to be at 80 degrees. The pictures on the wall of historic Biddeford were interesting, but the crust from someone's toast and torn up straw wrappers under the empty table next to us was not so impressive. My boyfriend brought this to the waitress's attention and she said "oh wow, you're right" and walked away without at least picking up the crust. Then move on to waiting for our food. The wait wasn't too long but the waitress did say "sorry for the wait" upon delivering our food, which gave me the impression that she has to say that a lot. Hopefully I'm wrong. But while waiting, we did openly hear her talking about how she survived the rush and was ready to go home after the "last couple tables". And then there's the food itself. My crepes weren't too bad - definitely edible but could've been cooked more. My bacon was decent. My one scrambled egg was rubbery, not fluffy like a scrambled egg is supposed to be. My boyfriend's toast was BURNED on the bottom! Conveniently the burned side was down and the better, buttered side was up. But even the crust was burned so I'm shocked that the waitress didn't call the incompetent cook out on the fact that they BURNED TOAST! His home fries looked more like mashed potatoes and he said they tasted awful. And his omelette...the onions and peppers were not even remotely cooked and were basically just sitting on the omelette as opposed to IN it. My boyfriend's meal was comped, and he was offered another meal on the house, but it wasn't worth waiting. Even our milk and orange juice weren't that cold. After paying for my meal, the waitress dropped the change on the table, telling us how much the change was, told us to have a good day and took off running. And even after sitting there finishing most of my meal, waiting for our check and then our change, the crust was still on the floor under the table next to us... We have since told some of the family that recommended the place to us about our experience, and they even said they won't be back.

Wow this place was super satisfying and the service was amazing. Our waitress knew my friends order by heart and made us instantly feel like family. Oh and the prices are insanely reasonable. Enjoyed and would love to come back!

I rate this business 5 stars because it is one of the best diners in the area It cannot be rated against the white tablecloth places. For a great breakfast or lunch on a budget you cannot beat it.

This trip to Jonesy's was significantly better. It was a conscious decision not to go on a Sunday, and I think that made a big difference. The speed was great. I spent less time in there today than I spent waiting to place an order on my last trip. I added bacon to a broccoli and cheese omelette. The broccoli was precooked, of course, but it was overcooked, pale, and starting to turn bitter. The rest of the food was okay. I doubt there's much that can be done about it, but even with my own Ipod on and listening to a podcast I felt like I could hear EVERY conversation that was going on. The group of older guys in the corner, the kids laughing at the table on the back wall, and the server talking about how one of the locals always tips about 2 dollars. More than anything, I left happy to not have an experience anywhere near as bad as my last time stopping in.

As I try more things, I'm discovering that I'm a fan of the omelets. They're not the most creative omelets ever, but they're good. I guess my biggest criticism is that things tend to be a bit bland and unimaginative overall, but maybe the regulars are happier that way. Personally, I'd love to see some hash browns with leeks and poblano peppers, or some chili, cheddar, and avocado omelet specials, but I don't know if it would work at Jonesy's. In any case, I'm discovering the things I like and I'm happy to go back. Oh, don't show up shortly after 9AM on a Sunday. Church has just let out and there's quite a rush. Get there at 8:30 and you'll do much better.

Delicious food at very reasonable prices. I had the veggie omelette, girlfriend had the strawberry crepes. Both delicious! Service was excellent. We'll definitely return.

This place is pretty good. The waitstaff is friendly, and helpful. There are high chairs for children and a kid's menu. The food prices are very cheap and they allow substitutions. My only "eh" about this restaurant is some of the food. Some of the food is a bit cheap tasting, the corned beef hash, while good, is very obviously from a can. Every potato side I've ever ordered (hash browns, homefries) has been bland, and overcooked, and the food is also cold within minutes of reaching the table.

Everything taste really fake. Fake butter with fake toast. Service was fine when we went but the quality is so poor I can't believe anyone said their food is good. Will biddeford ever get a good breakfast place???

Great find! Hankering for breakfast on the way to Portland, we stopped in the small town of Biddeford, ME. Jonesy's Main Street Cafe was pure Americana, customers talking to one another, delicious and rapidly-prepared food, and super inexpensive. I remember we ordered at 10:10, the food was on the table at 10:14. You are not going to get that service just anywhere, that's for sure. Girlfriend had a meat lover's omelet (you have to love a girl like that) and I had pigs in a blanket. Good breakfast fare, great service and speed, and truly a classic American eatery.
