First impression: divey bar that smelled like cigarettes. At first I thought I made a mistake coming in here. Ambience was a little sketch, and the clientele were all single males who looked like construction workers. But I didn't want to be rude, and sat down anyway. Nice lady came over (I'm assuming is Judy?) and took my order, told me about the breakfast special which was an omelette filled with sausage and cheese, plus coffee and toast. I upgraded my toast to french and my order came out in about 5 minutes. I would have to say, the breakfast was delicious. Nothing fancy, just tasted like good ol' home cooking. Will most likely be back. Maybe with a bodyguard.

It didn't make me sick so that's a plus, but for this place to have a four star review is nuts. The food was bland and the hash was the only plus. If you couldn't get beer in the morning there I don't think anyone with any sense would go. Trust me go somewhere else.

My husband and I stopped for breakfast. His eggs were cooked exactly as he ordered them. My omelette was cooked exactly as an omelette should be, the eggs were cooked on both sides and then the ingredients were folded in. The home fries were golden brown with just a touch of fried onions. The hamburger was hand made from fresh hamburger, not frozen. All this for less than $20.00. What a deal!

What a nice little joint we happened upon while in Bangor. First we caught the place at a bad time. The service was really slow, but honestly the charm of the employees really made up for it. They knew it was gonna be a while and they apologized over and over about it. They were very nice and really treated us well. From the outside it looks like a little townie bar. You'd be right, they have a full bar but they also happen to serve awesome breakfast as well hah. We all just got your basic breakfasts and we were all very satisfied with our meals. Nice charming breakfast joint. Worth the stop in

Hands down best breakfast in all of Bangor!! Try the hash, or Joe's pile. To die for. Also everything is cooked perfectly, staff is friendly, and it is a fun place to start the day!

Wow! This place did not disappoint! Don't be fooled by the exterior. The food is fantastic. The service phenomenal. I recommend the English muffin. Add peanut butter which just places on your table w syrup and butter. Definitely try the potatoes. We loved this place!

Hands down best hash ever! Was a little hesitant pulling up to the spot and even after walking in, but after a few minutes we decided we loved this place. If we are anywhere in the state of Maine again we will make the trip to have breakfast here!

It is your typical greasy spoon dinner by day and dive bar by night. You can always count on a dependable breakfast at Judy's and I love how close to downtown it is located!

Delicious breakfast and it was pretty cheap too. It looked a bit sketchy at first but the food is worth it! The Bloody Mary left much to be desired though. Will be going back for sure.

Visited Judy's while staying in Bangor for our son's graduation from the university of Maine. Judy's is a very homey and apparently popular with the locals. We enjoyed a typical breakfast of eggs, toast and home fries along with on omelet for one. Everything was cooked to order and the home fries were excellent. A nice bonus was servings of peanut butter for the toast!

If you're from out of town- think twice. It took 40 min to serve us an ordinary breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast). And yes, two other tables that came in after we did were served before we were, including one group of three that came 10 min after we did, ordered, ate, paid and left before we got our order. Can't recommend.

Great greasy spoon for a classic breakfast on the cheap. Filled with locals, including regulars who walk in and help themselves to coffee. I got the house special (as advertised on a ten foot sign on the side of the building): Two eggs, home fries, bacon, toast, and coffee. Everything was really good. I recommend it if you're looking for more than just a donut for breakfast, and if you're not afraid of mustaches and NASCAR shirts.

One of Bangor's best kept secret. Food I'd amazing and price is great as well. Bar service is also very good as well prices r cheap and depending on which bartender is working depends on your service. Two great male bartenders Jim & Jeffers who provides excellent service and timely fashion. Jeffers is a absolute riot and he's always has a come back for any joke. Jim is very easy on the eyes his good looks and personality makes for a enjoyable time The owner works on Thursday after noons and always had a nice following.. Now u make get a female bartender who works evenings and her service is one star. You must gone in for a weekend breakfast . A big happy family.

Judy's has a great breakfast! I seriously believe that they have the best homefries in all of Bangor. Also, I'm not sure how this is possible, their toast just seems better than most places. This is a great option for a morning meal, but be careful after 5PM, it becomes a whole different beast then.

Judy's is a great place for Family Breakfast any day of the week. It's as American as America gets.

People who know Bangor, and know Judy's, may think I'm crazy. Judy's has a reputation for being the breakfast spot most likely to get you knifed. Also a bar, the night crowd that patronizes this establishment is colorful in the scariest sense of the word. But the mid-morning weekend crowd is harmless, and the lore adds to the charm. After a rainy morning of unsuccessful yard saling, my husband and I decided to finally give Judy's a shot. The interior is dark and a little intimidating, but quickly becomes cozy. Our waitress was kind and efficient without seeming fake. The kitchen staff, visible from the sitting area, were a surly bunch, but they quickly whipped up one of the best breakfasts you'll find in Bangor. I filled up on one of Judy's famous omelettes, hash browns, toast and coffee. My husband had eggs, toast, bacon, and a muffin. All first-rate and free of pretension. Admittedly, Judy's isn't for everyone. If you're comfortable with some color in exchange for a solid and satisfying breakfast experience, you will find it at Judy's.
