We had toms meatball pizza. Was delicious and very fair priced. The staff was very friendly and very kind with kids. Highly recommend for a affordable tasty dinner. The restaurant is very clean and relaxing. Nice view next to the river. The noise level was quiet to average.

Pat's is Pat's--some locations are better than others. Auburn is one of the better ones. Sat out on the deck on what turned out to be a chilly evening. The views of the Androscoggin River and the mills downriver were interesting and enjoyable. The deck seemed a little worse for wear, which might be due to summer in Maine having passed and the deck no longer serving as a viable option. My dinner guest unfortunately soaked his pants on a wet deck chair that hadn't been wiped. The food was fine. I had the manicotti and small house salad. Nothing unique or particularly awe-inspiring. Like I said, "Pat's is Pat's"--a longtime Maine restaurant institution, started back before there were an abundance of choices, even in post-industrial areas like L-A.

I'm originally from Maine, 35 years removed by many miles across this country. When I come home for a visit, the first stop is Pat's for their Italian sandwiches and incredible views from the balcony. Wish I could take them "home" with me to Nevada!!

Pat's has been the setting of many of my family legends, but until recently, I had never been there myself. We drove past about 5 other pizza parlors before arriving at Pat's. The take-out counter on the ground floor was busy, with some folks waiting outside in spite of the subzero temps. Nonetheless, we were immediately seated upstairs. The restaurant was mostly full at 7pm on Friday. We enjoyed the locally brewed Baxter beers and moderately-sized cocktail. The salads were generous in size, but mostly full of cheap iceberg lettuce, rather than some more tasty/nutritious greens. And do you really need croutons on a salad when every patron's next course is full of bread? The large pizza I shared with one dining companion was well cooked, but not "thin" crispy crust, as other reviewers indicated; more of a medium crust. Overall the flavor and texture was pretty average. It was big enough to take home a couple slices. The meat lasagna was the same; an enormous portion, full of rich ricotta and provolone, but nothing outstanding flavor-wise. My guess is that this portion contained at least 1000 calories. Out waitress was polite, and kind enough to shout in the ear of my hard-of-hearing dining companion. The prices were modest. Part of the reason Maine has an obesity problem is because of places like this. The portions are unnecessarily enormous, and the ingredients unnecessarily calorie-laden. One idea would be some sort of "lighter fare" section of the menu, where the calorie content is under 750, or some "gourmet" salads that are made with some dark green lettuces and some other fresh vegetables. On the upside, this is inexpensive food, that can easily fill the bellies of a hungry family or some college kids.

This is always the pizza they'd order for us in the dorms. It's incredibly meh. The sauce has a bit of spice to it, the crust is very bland and the cheese is average. The L/A area has a pretty big lack of decent pizza joints, but I think I would hit up a chain before I call Pat's. I mean, when I was a broke college kid and it was free, I wouldn't turn it down. I wouldn't make them my first jingle with my own cash though.

There are two things I understand in life. One is "Bagel Sunday" and the other is "Pizza Friday." A regular guest at "Pizza Friday" is a large, pepperoni and bacon pizza, lightly crispy from Pat's. This pizza should be dipped in ranch dressing for maximum enjoyment. Other than a glass bottle of coke, this is the only thing I have ever ordered from Pat's of Auburn. In fact, it will be the only thing I ever order from Pat's of Auburn. Anything else would be uncivilized. (spoken with a British accent.)

Wow is all I can say. Night and day compared to their location in Augusta. The other night sat on their porch over looking the old androscoggin river. When our waitress appeared she was very friendly and grabbed us a couple cold ones. Ordered a Sea food salad which was served to perfection. Amazing how great this experience was compared to the horror's of the Augusta location. Overall great Pat's Pizza with an exceptional beer list and tasty food.

I've been coming here for over a decade. Family has for 3 (see the Old Number 6 on the menu). Great place, service, and atmosphere. Does get a bit loud at times. I highly recommend the bread sticks, garden salad, and baked haddock (order extra "soupy"). I also love the tuna melts and pizza. Seasonal lobster rolls are also quite good!

So many memories at this place. When I go home I try to always stop in for my favorite pizza: double dough with half fresh mushroom and hamburg, and half hawaiian. It's a fun atmosphere and will always be one of my favorites.

My wife and I have been going to this location since we were dating 25 years ago at Bates College. We have always enjoyed the food here. Went again this weekend and had the Déjà Vu specialty pizza. The toppings were awesome and the crust was thin and crisp like we prefer. The only complaint we had was that the service was mediocre at best...unfortunately that has been a common experience for us recently at this location.

Went in during the (6-7) dinner rush, had to wait a few minutes for a table for two. Boisterous dining room, with only one crying baby --- not bad for a busy room. In reverse order, for no particular reason: The Hawaiian pizza was sweet and savory --- though the crust could have used an extra minute or two in the oven. The buffalo wings seemed do be pan-fried or baked rather than the usual deep-fried, and were surprisingly fatty; crispy celery, but no carrots. The salad (Vegetable Chef's) was surprisingly tasty, if a little plain. The peppercorn dressing was excellent, as were the cherry tomatoes. The beverage selection includes about 15 simple wines, and a reasonable pick of draft and bottle beers, including a few locals (I'd take the Shipyard Export over the Old Thumper).

Since being on this crappy Gluten free diet, it's been tough to find a decent pizza. Pat's is by far the best I have had. Each time I go up to visit family, I get one to take home.

Pat's Pizza is definitely not what it used to be back in the late 1990's. The food back then was excellent and today I can say its ok. I was very disappointed in how bland and seasonless their meatballs are that they put in the all meat calzone. I tasted one and there was literally no meat taste to it. For a place that is known for their meatballs its evident by the taste that they are processed and not homemade. It's a bit disappointing because the cheese they use for the calzone creates a significant amount of oil that drips out of the calzone when you cut into it. The bottom of my plate was drenched by this oil. Wish they would keep their standards from the 90's.

Great customizable pizza options, and full bar, with amazing drinks, all for a reasonable price. I love coming here in the summer and sitting on the deck by the water! Great place to eat for anyone!

Good no matter where you go. Having attended UMaine back in the days of one Pats Pizza in the state, I am a longtime fan. Meat special pizza is piled deep and excellent. Good sandwiches. The only negative experience was a spaghetti calzone which does not compare to Amato's. Good service.

The worst. I ordered a turkey avocado sandwich and got a turkey sandwich with lettuce drenched in Italian dressing. So much dressing that it soaked through the bread and onto my hand. By far the worst sandwich place in l.a.

This place is one of my favorites for pizza in the L/A area. The pizza isn't that grease . I suggest giving it a try. I really do enjoy going if you love pizza

I've only had the pizza but it was as good as most and better than many. The view from the patio is gorgeous. The service is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to dine at Pat's again.

Great beers. Great pizza. We have a family house in Maine and dinner at Pat's is an anticipated part of each trip.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
