Some of the best Doughnuts and pastries I've ever had. Would have given it 5 but the lunch/dinner items are just OK not awesome like the baked goods

I live out of state and a friend of mine had a family tragedy. I called Georgios Pizza and she was more than willing to help me help a friend even though it was so far out of her delivery area. All my friends in Auburn, Minot and Mechanic Falls please do business with them as a thank you for helping one of ours in a time of need and crisis. She helped make a moment in someones life a little easier.

If you have the opportunity to eat at Georgio's, make sure to try the UFO and at least one donut. The is a wonderful sandwich in the shape of a (you guessed it) UFO. The donuts are really good. Probably underrated. The pizza is just ok, which is why I give it 4 stars. However, the menu is expansive. You can eat there regularly, never having the pizza, and always be happy.

There are not enough "mom and pop" type stores left in this world. Ones that support local high school sports teams (even one's like the ski team), or openly talk religion or politics (always in a fair, good-natured way), or will slip an extra doughnut in your bag (free of charge) if it looks like you're having a rough day. Georgio's is that kind of place STILL. Perhaps they don't have the best food, but what they stand for and embody is even more special. As are their doughnuts, which are made fresh every single morning and are some of the best in the state. Do yourself a favor: if you're ever passing by this little place, stop in and get a doughnut or two (try the maple-glazed one; oooh! or the blueberry; the orange juice one is really tasty too; and, you'll never go wrong with a chocolate krueller!).

Donuts are awesome...so is Pizza...combine the 2 and you have a sure win right? Well...almost. I've been waiting to try Georgio's for months and, having finally been heading that way for vacation, drove 4.5 hours and walked in. The server behind the counter was extremely friendly and came up with a simple saying which will, in my mind at least, forever live on in dount lore. He said.."well, the shop has been here about 60 years, but as to which came first, the donut or the pizza, I have no idea." The chicken and egg question now seems much less difficult. Though I did not try the pizza, I did induldge in several of the donuts and a small coffee; all of which I have had better. The jelly was a lower quality "gluey jelly" rather than a jam and the dough for the raised was a tad greasy and more bread like than light and fluffy; the glazed was much the same. On the cake side I tried the Chocolate Dutch Crumb which is why I gave Georgio's 3 stars instead of 2- the cake is done right. It was light, tasty, and flavorful. They also have many interesting new flavor which I rarely see. The coffee was less than palatable, watery and could just pass in a pinch. I would definitely pass up the Tim Horton's around the corner for donuts and coffee, but would only take the cake at Georgios.

The UFO is fantastic. Breakfast sandwhiches are cheap and good. All sandwiches start with the bread and that is why these are so great.

This business knows what's up...a pizza shop cant open for breakfast and a donut shop cant open for dinner; so what's the logical solution? Open both in the same location! We came in for donuts after a giant shitshow at Silva's down the street and ordered a half dozen, homemade donuts. I ate the Boston Creme and Trix had the Jelly...both were freaking awesome. Im looking forward to polishing off the other 4 soon which most likely will be tomorrow. Im sad that we didnt get to try the 'Za, but perhaps some other time since Im sure it's good.
