Plum Crazy Diner Menu

As far as diners go, Plum Crazy fits the genre. An extensive menu, with breakfast served all day, won't disappoint even the strictest dieter. Alas, the taste leaves something to be desired. From omelets to club sandwiches, my dining companions and I agreed that our dishes were just... bland. The atmosphere leans towards kitschy: the purple theme is everywhere, from the walls to the vinyl, and truly befits the name. If you're in a hurry and want an alternative to fast food, give this place a try -- it's better than other options along this stretch of highway. Otherwise, you're not missing anything if you choose to bypass this one.

Awful service all the time! Food is painfully slow most of the time. Breakfast is pretty good, nothing outstanding. The poor service and lack of management ruins it completely. After giving them countless chances, we'll never go back. Learn how to run a customer service establishment please!

Great diner! Awesome breakfasts and great diner food. Only drawback was that you used to be able to smoke there, so it got a little rough from time to time-but worth the stop. Loved having breakfast there every week!

Great breakfasts!!! I eat here all the time... It has that old diner feel about it. Usually pretty fast service as well.

It was just pretty good. The best part was the prices.

Decent diner. I'd say bettee than the dennys down the street. The buscuit and sausage gravy was pretty good. There were real chunks of sausage in the gravy- which I liked. I often get eggs toast and a side of bacon. I loke that, when I orser a side of bacon, there is a decent amount of bacon given as compared to the dennys down the street which will only give 2 peices. Overall a decent experience

One star is generous. The food was gross- packaged and fried to warm up. The service was horrible. Our waitress checked on us twice and threw attitude when we wanted to pay for the check. The environment is good- fun atmosphere. Will not be back.

Worst diner in years I have been to. They seated our party of 4 with two sets of silverware. We requested more silverware on three seperate occassions.. Ended up just sharing forks. Ordered Coffee AND water. No water was brought out. The oatmeal tasted like mush and they didn't serve it with milk or raisins. The omelet had americian cheese, not cheddar. The food was obviously instant/frozen of a terrible quality. The service was equally poor. The only good think I can say is that the coffee was hot. The music was also too loud.

Three of us stopped by late Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately and soon greeted by our server. Our table ordered a French dip, a cheesesteak, and a meatloaf sandwich. The food was excellent. Our fries were served with a rich brown gravy on the side as we requested. We were very happy with the food, service, cleanliness, and prices and we will definitely be back.

Ate here on a Saturday afternoon about 1:00pm. We drove past it earlier that morning and the parking lot was packed so we decided to stop on the way back. We were immediately seated and waited on by a friendly waitress. A perk for us was that breakfast is served all day! The food was served quickly and piping hot. Our table ordered breakfast and lunch foods all of which were amazing. Would definitely recommend it and we plan on stopping again when we're in the area.

Yummm!!! This was my second time at Plum Crazy and I liked it better than the first time. We got there by almost lunch time so maybe that is why our food was fresh. I had the Cheese and Brocoli Omelet and it was delicious. I substituted the eggs for Egg Beaters (for a $0.89 charge) and there was even an option for egg whites. They also offer a fruit cup that is plentiful. I ordered it to go with my kids pancakes and belgian waffle and my husband and I ended up eating from it as well. The fruit is also very fresh. The reason I give them a four star rating is because of the homefries. They look more like small french fries, not like the homefries I am used to. The place is clean and the service is fast and courteous. I will be back when I am in the Westminster area.

If you are looking for something high end, healthy, and without gruff seniors, don't come here. But if you want cheap basic staples and a decent breakfast served fast after a hard night, this is your place. Sure beats the chains and portions are generous. It's nothing fancy but it doesn't pretend to be, and for Westminster it's better than most! The people who rate it low tend to forget where they are--and that is BFE. ;)

Unfortunately, this was not a place for us. We had to leave because we had no server. We told the manager and all she could say is "we are busy". We used to like this place but I guess it has really changed.

"Plum Crappy" from one of the other reviews is appropriate. The food is typically poor quality ingredients, store bought and Luke warm to the table served (and probably cooked) by untrained teens. The Resturant has been dirty (food on the floor) each time I visited. The ice cream part next door is even worse with the teen workers handling your ice cream cones with hands covered in muck from previous servings and then handling money. I guess no ever organized them so that one person handles money and the others serve and occasionally wash their hands. Oh, and it is even dirtier than Plum Crappy. We stopped coming and go to Hoffman's instead for ice cream.

Plum Crappy is the nickname I remember. The food is greasy, and not in the delicious diner way that I so love. The building is hard to miss, it's the giant foil-wrapped twinkie on the side of 140. Totally meh and skippable.

Went here after attending a sports event at nearby McDaniel college. This was on a Sunday morning, approx noon, and the place was PACKED. Nonetheless, my father and I were seated quickly and service was prompt. We both ordered coffee and the belgian waffle deluxe platter (1 huge belgian waffle, 2 eggs, hash browns, and bacon). The waffle itself was enough to count for breakfast in entirety. The food was good, although I wouldn't brag about the hashbrowns. In Yelp terminology (Yelp-ology?) I would say they were "Meh." But the waffle was delish and the price was more than reasonable. If I were in the area and looking for breakfast again, I'd definitely pick this place over the Denny's across the street.

Burger was cold, and poor quality meat. Bun was stale as well. Fries were cold and low quality.

Standard diner fare with good service. I do like the fact that they have daily specials.

The only thing good about this place was the food. The service was horrible! Extremely slow. The hardest working person was the hostess by far. Would not return.

I totally like this place. It has an old school diner feel. It automatically makes me think "poodle skirts!" The plum crazy chicken meal is shockingly good. The breading is seasoned nicely and you get some massive pieces of chicken breast with your meal. Plus, they give you hot bread! You get a pile of food cheap and I found it to be better than you typical diner fare. I haven't tried the desserts, but I'd like to. I didn't see the typical massive diner dessert case, but the menu looked like they had a pretty standard selection. They have pie! End you experience by stopping by Twin Kiss next door. Both places give you a retro feel.

ordered maryland crab soup, was canned Minestrone with crab tossed in. Aweful!!. sent it back, but they still charged us for it. Hamburg was previuosly frozen. Salad dressings from supermarket. Oil & vineger tried, but it was white vinegar & corn oil. Waitress had no personality. slow to check on us & refill coffee. No water. food on floor under table. Priced to high. But we still tipped customary percent. Bathroom dirty. Hair on toilet. Tried place before & was disapointed, but gave it another chance. NEVER AGAIN.

plum crazy diner has THE BEST turkey club sandwiches, THE BEST shrimp salad, THE BEST french fries (make sure to tell them you want them hot). AWESOME breakfast... if you want a steak, go to a steakhouse, salmon, go to a seafood restaurant, etc.

This is mine & my daughters favorite place for breakfast. Great value. Food is always cooked well. I have eaten breakfast, lunch & dinner here. It is good diner food, nothing more, nothing less. Best place in town for breakfast. I have not ever once had to wait for a table. The place is huge, although it looks small from the outside. Daily early bird & regular specials.
