The citrus lime fish tacos are sweet, spicy, light, healthy, tangy and DELICIOUS. The staff here is pleasant and professional. The service is quick but the food and the smoothies are so good for you that I'd wait patiently even if it took an hour. Waldorf has nothing like this and I'm so glad they are here and nearby my job. The smoothies are always great, Ive tried several and have not disliked one yet. The food leaves something to be desired, well maybe i shouldn't say that... I have had a consistency problem when ordering and my food is cold by the time i get back to the office (less then 2 min. away from TSC) The staff never seems like they want to be there and gives the impression that they dont care about the place at all....but it is always very clean!

My husband and I go to this store frequently: the smoothies are always DELICIOUS, the food is usually pretty good, but the service is REALLY hit or miss. My hubby loves the Peaches and Silk and the Get Up and Goji Berry smoothies, I always opt for one of the green smoothies. Today I had the Avocadolada, and it was awesome! Avocado, spinach, and kale with some fruit...so yummy and so good for you! For lunch we ordered a turkey bacon ranch sandwich, 2 of the new tacos, and we got a random wrap (that we didn't order). The sandwich was pretty good, the tacos were also pretty good. Neither were outstanding, but they satisfied us. Like I said above, their customer service is very hit or miss. Sadly, today it was terrible. I wasn't greeted really...he just stood at the register and looked at me as if he were too cool to speak to me. We were the ONLY people in the store at the time and we ordered 2 regular smoothies, a kids smoothie, and 2 lunch items. The 3 employees were moving around as if they had 20 lb. weights on their feet! They all looked super sleepy and moved with the speed of molasses :-/ It took around 15 minutes for everything to get prepared. I realize that's not a lot of time...but this is fast food and there was no one else in the store! With 3 employees sludging around back there, I thought our order could have been completed much quicker. Once we finally got our food, we took off so we could eat at home. Well, we should have checked our food before we left because we didn't receive our chips/fruit that come with the lunch items and there was a random wrap that we didn't order. Le sigh. We will go back because the smoothies are awesome and there's no other place to get smoothies this good in Waldorf. But I wish the service was more consistent!

Coming from the 757 area where Tropical Smoothie Cafes are in almost every shopping center. It was definitely one thing that I missed. My sister told me about "this smoothie place" that she stopped in because she thought it was a Caribbean restaurant, and I was excited to learn that there was actually a Tropical Smoothie in the area. So the next day I venture out to Waldorf to have my fave- Island Green. The restaurant wasn't as festively decorated as I was used to from other cafes (reason for 4 stars) other than that the service was good and my smoothie was great! I do recommend asking for your smoothie without added sugar. All in all I am very pleased and will definitely be returning.

I've been here a couple of times and I've never tried their food, so this review is strictly about my smoothie experience. First of all, I love what they've done with this place. It used to be an eye sore, run down, dark and dingy (at least from the outside) strip club. Now from the roadway the building is bright, open, and a pleasing and welcomed addition to the community. My first impression walking in was excellent. The interior was bright, menus were very easy to read, the cafe was spotless and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. On my first visit, I selected a recommendation from the cashier, the Island Green (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana and I added whey protein). Although very strange in color, it was delicious...mmmmm!!! A couple of days later I visited again and tried the Acai Berry Boost (acai, pomegranate, banana, strawberry, and blueberries..and I added a power pack of kale and spinach). Again, very strange in color, but this smoothie was outstanding as well. The service was quick and friendly, and this will definitely be a regular spot for me.

The good review first! The food: OMG the hummus veggie wrap is the bomb! I'm personally not a vegetarian; I just love hummus. That wrap is filling, tastes good. I also tried the Tzatsiki steak flat bread and that is delicious! Far as smoothies: I tried island green, acai berry boast and mango magic I love each one. I can't wait to try more smoothies, wraps, and wraps. I love this place its really good! The restaurant is clean, the employees are nice! The negative part about this place!!!!! Location and PARKING! 1. This place stays packed and busy over the weekend and evenings. Lines are long and waiting for your food and smoothies is long. Depending if you get food. It takes even longer! The tiny 15 car little parking lot stays packed! It's hard to get in and out! It's located on a very busy road. Two lines both directions and the weekends it's bumper to bumper. It's so hard to get in and out of the parking lot!! 2. I hate the location they chosen for this place. They need a bigger restaurant and a much deserved bigger parking lot. I have driven pass this place because, the parking lot was full and wasn't able to pull in! :(

The smoothies here are delicious!! I usually get the island green smoothie which is low in calories. They have a small chart at the register that displays all the calories in their smoothies. You can also add boosters to your smoothies. The smoothie and sandwiches are amazing !!

Really like this place and I'm here 1 or 2x a week but today the music was entirely too loud. There were no napkins at the counter and no paper towels in the rest room. At least the foods good and the staff are friendly.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...from owner not workers. Monday, 6/2/2014, 1:57 ordered 2-smoothies...nothing special added. There was one customer in front of me, so virtually no wait. Several ppl arrived after me; 1-ordered 2 smoothies; 1-ordered smoothie w/soy; 1-ordered smoothie & wrap. After a 19 minute wait, all had been served & departed, except me. I spoke with the cashier & explained that I had waited almost 20 mins & wanted a refund, as 3 ppl after me were already served & I was still waiting. She said sure and asked the Owner to open the register, so she could refund my money. The Owner looked at me, but didnt speak a word; she repeatedly said to the cashier...yeah, giver her her money back, sure we can do that. I told her I had waited almost 20 mins; she repeated 20 mins ?, as if it was made up. The cashier told her it's 2:16. The Owner had the receipt in her hand, which clearly showed 1:57...it was then 2:16...do the math, that's 19 mins. NEVER once did she acknowledge me, let alone apologize for my inconvenience or try to resolve the issue. Instead she proceeded to talk past me to a customer behind me, as though I wasnt even standing there. For a new business, in Waldorf, MD...she's got a lot to learn. Businesses come & go all the time here. Poor customer service is a sure fire way to lose customers. She sent a clear message to me; my time meant nothing to her & my money, even less. I will be sure to tell my church members, my students, and my co-workers on base where I work, DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT, AS CUSTOMERS MEAN NOTHING!

This review is a little tough because I really wanted to like this place and I was excited that Waldorf finally got a smoothie place. The parking lot is small so there's been a few times I've wanted to get a smoothie after leaving from the post office up the street but when I pulled up to Tropical Smoothie the parking lot was 100% full so I had to keep driving. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there waas finally parking. We were disappointed because all the smoothie options have alot of added sugar. We opted to get the smoothies one without any sugar and one with splenda. Unfortunately they didn't taste good. I don't like things super sweet but the smoothies were extremely sour and bitter. I guess that's form using frozen fruit. I still would have returned but then the person at the register was kind of rude when we asked questions. SO we won't be back. If you are ok with smoothies with lots of sugar you might like this place. So I gave it 3 stars.

I was impressed with the cleanliness, friendly staff and delicious smoothies, I tried the Island Green and another w mango, peach but forgot the name. I love this place! I have been waiting for a smoothie shop to come to Waldorf and this place does not disappoint. The smoothies are great, My favorite is the island green smoothie. I also love the sandwiches especially the turkey bacon ranch! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. This place is always clean and that is important to me. I also like the music they play. It reminds me of the beach!!

I've visited Tropical Smoothie a few times since they've opened. The smoothies are delicious, and whenever I go, I notice how friendly the employees are towards me. I stopped by this morning when they first opened, and saw all smiles from the employees, the girls helped me pick out a new smoothie and left me smiling. It was a nice start to my day.
