We have eaten here for years. The chicken caesar salad is awesome! The food is consistent and service is always good.

Well here we go again, seems like there is a lack of consistency. We have been back a several times, and happy with both service and food, but tonight it was just off. First, there was little slivers of glass in my slide salad, told waitress and did not want to make a big deal. She did not follow up and did not offer to even take off the check. Ruined my meal completely! The wings were not great tonight and we won't order the nachos again, not very good. Disappointing as we were making this a weekly meal stop.

Not the best ribs I have ever had but still decent and consistent. The ribs don't have much flavor but nothing a little sauce can't fix. Prices are good which is why we keep coming back when we have a craving for ribs. We usually get the full rack and always have ribs left over. The sides suck and they only give you a tiny amount of each. Green beans are likely straight out of the can and rather bland. Bbq beans taste like their sauce so nothing special but not terrible. Fries are bland. Their wings are pretty good though. Overall it's a solid 2.5-3 star place and you know what you're going to get every time.

Three stars is about right. I will say the service was very good. Interesting atmosphere; a bunch of older gentlemen at the bar and some older ladies playing keno. A lot of food for your money but it's just okay tasting and the place really offers nothing in the way of atmosphere. Won't come back.

Go in a couple times a week. Found this place and love it. The service is great, bar tenders/servers are awesome

Meh...really just ok. Ribs weren't smoky at all and sides were tasteless. I had mac and cheese and green beans. They literally gave me a 2 tablespoon sized serving of each...about enough for 3 bites of each and for real that was ok because they didn't taste like anything at all. Like I said...just ok, nothing spectacular at all. Also, one reviewer said "it was like stepping back in time and everyone turned and stared when I walked in"...I have to agree 100%! I thought I had accidentally walked into an establishment that served only one ethnicity and that's it! Wow!

If you're looking for decent barbecue at a good price, this is your spot. We frequent Texas Ribs for lunch and I've had the luck of sampling about 50% of their menu. Everything is worth trying, you haven't had a grilled cheese sandwich until you've had a grilled cheese on texas toast! Their daily specials are usually some sort of sandwich and there soups change daily as well. Be sure to try their crab bisque or bean soup if it's available. A good standby sandwich is the 'Big Daddy', pulled pork piled high on a roll, yummy. The service is fast and friendly, you can't go wrong!!

I eat here at least twice a month. The barbecue chicken platters are excellent, as are the burgers and the Texas sliced beef. The soups are always excellent. Not sure what people are saying about beer prices--very reasonable compared to similar restaurants. Highly recommend it.

this used to be a nice family owned neighborhood bbq joint. over the past 2 years it's just gone downhill. service is sketchy at best. atmosphere is fine. casual. I think the food pricing is okay, comparable with other places in Waldorf. we came in and ordered potato skins and baby ribs. both of which they were out of. :( (this is a bbq joint. how are you out of baby back ribs?) the sweet tea is good at least and not overpriced like the beer. maybe management can fix things in the kitchen before they lose all their customers.

Jeez, my mom and I went inside this place and it's like we stepped back in time to the Deep South in 1940. Everyone stopped and looked at us as if we were Martians!!! Needless to say we decided to order off the carryout menu... Anyway, to top that off after waiting for over an hour for our food it wasn't even hot - or good once we dug in.

Ribs are baked not smoked. No smoke ring or smoke flavor. What a shame. Tender cooked ok. I just can't confirm how they cook them. Again, definitely not smoked.

Yum!!' That's what I say. Food great. Service impeccable by all servers. We especially love Kayla. Chicken quesadilla rocks. The chili mac is heavenly.

My expereince was with there food truck at the Baden Car Show right outside Brandywine. The pulled pork came from a crock pot, the burgers were burnt to a crisp and the hotdogs was just average. I'm not sure how a place can say they have BBQ and the meat doesnt even touch a smoker.

This only applies to the "Carryout" next door. We did try to go to the main restaurant, but it was really crowded. I ordered the "hog wings," which are small ribs and the "smoked" turkey sandwich. Both were awful and both tasted like either ever hit the grill or were smoked.

3rd strike here for me. Wont be returning you can bet your sweet patootie on that. Boiled pork chops with grill marks and dry as a chip. Smothered in BBQ sauce. YUCK. The highlight of my meal was the Texas Toast. And the sweet tea wasn't terrible. For a place that supposedly specializes in BBQ Ribs you would think they would know how to do it by now. Would not eat here if the neighbors dogs stole my turkey at Christmas and there wasn't anything else open. I hate to be this negative, but for the price I expect so much more.

Decent service and prices, but I judge a BBQ place by the ribs, and these just aren't up to snuff. I see a smoke ring I think (it's dark in here) but I swear these taste boiled. Yuck. I smell smoke outside, but none in the store and none in the meat. The sauce isn't my thing either; not bad (certainly better than the corn syrup they call sauce from the store) but the taste just didn't work for me. The sides are pretty okay though. I think this place is worth a try if you're in the area, you might like it more than I did. If you're making a run specifically for Ribs though, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Nice quiet little place. I only stopped in for lunch so all I had was Texas Chili and Texas toast. It was ok, I have had better.
