I loved the service and the steak was cooked PERFECT! I would recommend this location over the California MD location...it's worth the drive!

Today's treat was Longhorn. We had steak and Lobster with a Strawberry salad. We started with wild weat shrimp and firecracker wraps. The apps were awesome and also recommend the lobster. Great service too.

Apparently tonight's dining experience was very lacking with both the service and food. Dinner arrived before the appetizer and even the salad came same as dinner.....plates were even ask the waiter how long for the tomato take?? Not hot at all but luke warm. Ask for the manger twice took 11min 23sec Yeap time b/c it was that slow . My Manger offer the usual apologies and took off the drinks..appetizer...salad & up charge. Not a good food experience . As I never write bad reviews but this really got to give a negative one.

I ate at this location once before a few years ago and the service and food was mediocre. Decided to have lunch here with my wife and discovered nothing had really improved. We ordered from the lunch menu and received our in a decent amount of time. I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich which turned out to be a pita half wrap. While it looked good and had the potential for a great taste, it was incredibly over salted. Thank goodness the seasoned fries were good; except they had very little seasoning. My wife ordered the $8 combo with parmesan and garlic fries; at least her order was satisfactory. I understand that lunches may not be there specialty but at least I know try elsewhere next time. Or come back for steak.

Let me start with this; warm fresh pillow soft bread and butter that taste like butter should. That and a cold glass of sweet tea and it might be all you need. Or try the white peach, raspberry or blackberry tea. Warm, dark, I'll call it a rustic cowboy setting. Lots of large Western scene paintings adorn the walls setting the mood for some home-on-the-range dining. A nice sized crisp and colorful salad to kick things off. Well, the bread was first but the two go well together. The steak - meat fit for a royal fest. Delicious, grilled just right, juicy and bursting with flavor. On this stop it was the Outlaw Ribeye. Matched up with the always compatible baked potato and we'll call this visit a success. They have all the cuts, sirloin, Porterhouse, T-bone, New York Strip. Or try the filet and lobster tail or shrimp. They also have chicken, fish and pork chop or tenderloin options. The server was friendly, professional and there when needed. No dessert this time but there are many to choose from: chocolate stampede, bourbon pecan tart, caramel apple goldrush, molten lava cake, mountain top cheesecake, and key lime pie to name a few. Loosen that belt pardner!

Just not impressed. The bread was stale, the steak was bland. My son had a cheeseburger that sucked. The strawberry pecan salad was fresh but they over did it with the dressing. That new grilled corn wasn't good either. It was just an underwhelming experience for $50.

When we got to the restaurant we were greeted with a friendly smile. We only had to wait 5 minutes and were seated at a clean table and we were greeted by our server with a smile his name was Kevin. Our food was ordered and it arrived at the table hot and it was very tasty I highly recommend Longhorn for its quality steaks and friendly service. the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was calm and not crazy like some of the other steak houses. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

This isn't the best Longhorn Steakhouse I've ever been too, but it's by far the best restaurant in this area. The food quality has always been on point with the service slightly below average to what you would expect. You can still get Flo's Filet with Salmon if you request it. I'm surprised it's not on the menu. It's their best combo dish by far! I love their salads at Longhorn too!! 3.5 Stars...

Great service, great food, the steak seemed small at first but paired with the side dishes and ''sampling" my family's food.. We left full and satisfied. The steamed asparagus was good and the meat and potatoes was full of flavor.. Next time, I will have to save room for dessert:)

I've been here at this locale several times and never had any major issues. But I definitely feel prompted to write a review this time. I called in a takeout order on Sunday around 5pm. I knew this was a peak timeframe for them, especially considering it was NFL Sunday. Amy, who took my order, was so pleasant though. I was at least expecting her to sound rushed or busy...her voice displayed neither. She repeated my order and said it'd be ready in 20-25 minutes. I was already close by in the area so I decided to head over. When I arrived the parking lot was packed! I immediately realized that my order may not be ready within the given timeframe. I was wrong. When I walked inside, to the bar area where takeout orders are retrieved, another friendly server, Beth, asked my name and said she'd go check on my food. When she came back, she said it'd be just another few minutes. I watched a few minutes of the game while waiting. Probably no more than 10 minutes later my order was being brought out. Beth checked each and every item, ensuring accuracy, before placing them into the bags. Quick, friendly service on a busy Sunday. Very pleased.

Chain restaurants have a hard time impressing me when nothing goes wrong. They lose a star just for being a chain. Longhorn lost another two with me for serving a salad from the nearly unpalatable yellowed central core of the iceberg lettuce. Only impeccable service from a very invested lunch waiter got one of those stars back. I didn't choose to have lunch here. A client did. He loves it. He is an elderly white male, and in the statistical sweet spot for the lunch clientele at Longhorn. US-301 through Waldorf has a plethora of better options. Why go here unless for some reason (possibly deservedly), it might be less crowded than other choices?

Went to Longhorn for a Valentine dinner date and I must say the delivery for food was quicker than I thought , as well as, being seated (only because we had called ahead to be added on the waiting list). Only con I had was customer service. She'd come by once in a while but it was a holiday so it was understandable. The food was spectacular! My boyfriend had never tried lobster and Longhorn had offered him a great experience when we had ordered Flo's Filet and Lobster. I cannot wait till we come back for another great meal.

My table didn't have utensils or menus at first. My Sprite didn't taste like Sprite. It was like they made their own watered-down concoction. This restaurant must watch a lot of DIY videos on YouTube. The menu isn't diverse and I don't see much that impresses me. The bread was good but, the butter could have been easier to spread. My table ordered the Sweet Chili Calamari to share it. It looked really good, it tasted better than I expected. The waiter took the plate of food before I was done. I still wanted to eat it. She didn't even ask. I don't like pickles so I gave it to the people at my table. They said the pickle was nasty "it tasted like a cucumber". There was no ketchup in sight for my tasty burger but, that isn't a big deal. My cheddar and garlic fries were good with the honey mustard. My broccoli was cold. Overall an okay dinner but, this place will never be a regular.

Longhorn is a well known family chain that's pretty consistent as far as the quality of food and atmosphere. Its your standard American cuisine. My family has been coming to this particular location for at least 6-7 years. In that long period of time patronizing this location, I can honestly say that I have never had any major issues that would make me reconsider the food chain or this location. The service here is usually pretty decent. The seating wait time is rarely unreasonable. I have found management to be accommodating whenever there is an issue and willing to fix the problem as best as possible. Longhorn's menu has plenty of chicken, steak, and seafood options. Most entrees average around $16-$17. There are a lot of great sides to choose from as well. I highly recommend the deserts here which are all amazing. As an added bonus, Lornghorn has several low calorie entree options. Watch out for the bread and butter. It's so good that eating too much of it will make you not want your meal!

Top 3 best ribeye. Waitress was a little slow and the food didn't come out together. I would still recommend eating here:)

Our server, Kristin, was AWESOME. She was friendly, efficient, as well as checked up on us occasionally to make sure everything was going smoothly. I had the New York Strip, well-done, and it was great with the A1 sauce. I had upgraded to the Signature Sides: the Strawberry & Pecan Salad (greens, strawberries, grapes, oranges, onion, feta, pecans & raspberry vinaigrette) and the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese (corkscrew pasta, four cheeses, and hickory smoked bacon). The salad was refreshing, had a great amount of vinaigrette, and tasted great. The Mac & Cheese was cheesy, piping hot, and had solid flavor. I believe I would get a Ribeye next time for its tenderness, but overall, the food was good. I even got a complimentary sundae for my birthday, and it tasted awesome with the hot fudge. I know that it's a chain, but overall, the food was solid and it was a great overall dining experience! +Strawberry & Pecan Salad +Mac & Cheese +Ribeye +complimentary sundae for birthdays :D +ask for Kristin :D

We live a good deal south of Waldorf and go back and forth between Outback in Laplata and Longhorn in Waldorf. Both have great steaks, good service and the prices are great. But each has features the other does not. Longhorn has a strawberry pecan side salad that is delicious and huge. Outback has a Blue Cheese & candied pecan salad that tries, but just doesn't begin to match Longhorn's. And although the prices are good at Outback,we always come out of Longhorns having paid a bit less. So we often travel 8+ extra miles to Longhorn. Restaurants go up and down, but Longhorn has been up for a good while - and seems to be maintaining its standard.

I live in the area and enjoy this place, but the service is the slowest in the area and you do not get attended on until 10-15 minutes after you get seated. Sometimes longer! It's hard to continue to give money to a place where they don't care about the customers! Stay away from this place if you want good service!

We went here after the holidays because I wanted a nice steak. I had heard this place had a nice spread. I don't know if it was just my server or what, maybe I forgot to shower but we could not get our server to give us the time of day. I even stopped the manager and hostess to refill water, check on order etc. When I finally got my 20 oz. steak that was supposed to be medium and a loaded potato....well, the cook "cooked" the thing to leather and was well done. My other half ordered a fillet which was cold in the middle. Needless to say if i ever want a steak I'll go somewhere else or make it myself. Cheers.

Best steakhouse I have found. Love the service and the steaks are so tender you don't need a knife to cut them. Amazing!!

My sisters and niece came into town for a visit and we decided to stop and get some food here on our way home from the mall. It took a while for the server to show up but that was expected as it was a fairly busy night. The food was passable and nothing special; however, one of my sisters had found a piece of hair mixed into her food. Of course she lost her appetite and could not eat anymore. Our server was, I presume, busy with other patrons as we barely saw him, so even if we wanted to complain, he was not available to do so. What I believe to be the manager came around to our table and happened to ask how it was and could tell that my sister was not happy with her food since she had her plate pushed away from her and was not eating. She asked what was wrong and we told her. She was very apologetic and offered a replacement and to remove the meal from the bill so we agreed. We waited for our server to show so we could pay for our dinner while the replacement was being prepared and we eventually had to flag down someone else to get him. Luckily, I looked over the bill after receiving it. The hairy plate of food was removed, the bill was totaled, and then the plate was added a second time at the bottom. It could have been accident but I'm skeptical about that. We again waited on our sever to come back so I could give him my card. During this time, my niece began to get a little itchy as she was having a mild allergic reaction to the food she ate. The manager came back around to check on us, I informed her of being charged twice for the food that had hair in it and asked if we could just take the food to go since I had to get some Benadryl for my niece. She, of course, apologized and went to take care of the bill. After my niece's right eye began to swell shut while we continued to wait on the food, we told them to just forget it and left. Last time I'm going there.

Place was dirty. 20 min. Wait to sit and then 15 min wait for someone to come to table. Manager Frank was informed and all he did was take appetizer off of bill. One star is being to generous. Never again.

The reason we rated longhorn's only a three star was we only had salads. Even though they were great we didn't think that should be a good gauge for rating. Back to our salads they were seven pepper Steak salads. They were great , a nice spicy bite to them. Our service started out a little slow but came through before early dinner was over. As for decor, it was typical for a steak house. We enjoyed dinner and would return if ever in the area.

Why in the world didn't I came here years ago. This place runs circles around the Outback down the street. Very flavorful fresh and tasty. Never knew this little gem was sitting here all the time !

Hubby and I haven't been here since June 2012. Now I remember why. We were seated quickly, but, our server was very slow at taking our order, getting our drinks, bringing the check and taking the check for processing. The food was good, but it took FOREVER for it to get to us. I had the salmon and hubby had the filet. I had to ask another server for another napkin, as our server never brought one. We had to ask for more bread, we were given a small portion, two slices, in a basket, with two plates. When we asked for more, the server told us that we will get more, they usually just do a half for two people at the beginning. The management was helping with tables, taking orders, I guess they need to hire more servers. It will be a long, long time until we go back there. It's too bad too, I used to like this place.

Ok, this is the last update. Immediately after writing a glaring review for lunch, things went back to their subpar status. Came around 7 pm on a Friday and it was busy but not packed. Found out that they removed some of the best items off the menu such as my beloved chop steak. Really? Anyway, I said I would try the steak again since my last visit was pretty good. Had some bread, salad, and appetizer for starters which was fine. Spouse ordered the salmon. Food took forever to come and server was inattentive. Eventually, our food came and the waitress brought a forgettable tail end piece of a salmon filet to the table. We started to laugh and asked where was the rest of the fish? Spouse took it back since it wasn't worth the price they were charging. Go down the street on 301 and you can get a WHOLE filet for the same price. Now I know good steaks, so first impression is usually spot on. The filet did not look fresh at all. Difficult to chew and cut and again looked previously frozen. Rice came out cold and veggies were tough and bland. How can you call yourself a steakhouse and serve mediocre steaks. Im perplexed. The last steak I had here 2-3 years ago was exactly the same and nothing has changed. This will be the last time we visit for dinner and I'm not sure about lunch anymore since they removed the chop steak. Disappointed again.

Meal was slow coming out. Waited 30 minutes....other tables that were seated after us got their food right away. Table next to us complained about the condition of the steak that they ordered. Overall disappointing experience.

This is the closest location to me and I wish it were one closer. I really do like the food. The service I've not had an issue with previously at this location. I do frequent the business and recently called in a to-go order, much appreciated. I'm not sure if it's the loaded baked potato soup, the steak, the strawberry lemonade (some of thee best) or the fried cheesecaked dessert that keeps me coming back, but I just keep coming back!

  • Joshua W.

The food was good and the service was fast... A little too fast. It felt like you were being hurried so they can get the next group in. I expect that at Applebee's, but not when I drop $100 on dinner. I will give this place a chance again when they are not so busy, but not when there is a full parking lot any more. They also need to fix the wobbly tables. Seriously...

We all had very good meals. Nancy had steak and shrimp and it looked great. Nia's chicken and Mac-N -Cheese was very tasty and my Salmon was cooked to perfection. The big downfall was the Bar, it sucked! We waited ten minutes for some form of bar service but no one ever showed up. We had to approach The Bartender to order our drinks and both items were hosed up. I ordered a large tap beer and Nancy order a Cad Margareta with a sugar rim. The Margareta has a salt rim and my beer cam in a small glass. I only found this out when I reorder at the table. Was I mad? Yes. To add to that, the tables in the Bar were never cleaned and when I asked for peanuts the Barmaid gave me an attitude. Save your time and money at the Bar. One more note of caution; do not order the Firecracker chicken wraps they are Costco-ish. See I created a new word. Based on the server at the table and the food I gave this place a four star but do yourself a favor and stay away from the Bar.

The Longhorn had a relaxing atmosphere. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely tasty and satisfying. The management took the intitiative to seek our feedback prior to leaving. I look forward to going back!

Perfect Margarita! The best margaritas on the entire planet hands down... the food is not too shabby either & service is great (ask for Kristin if you want the best). All in all it's a really good family restaurant with really good food & perfect margaritas!!!

food isn't anything special. inside is clean but very dark and gloomy. service is generally okay to bad (it is Waldorf). prices are average for what you get. I prefer Texas Roadhouse in LaPlata to this place.

  • Curtis C.

I ordered the rib-eye which wasn't a cheap order....I am pretty sure they served me the sirloin. I ordered it medium but it came out at mostly well done with a pink sliver in the center. It was tough, chewy, and lacked flavor... maybe the other items on the menu are better, but I would expect a steak place to serve better steak. Maybe it is my fault for going to a chain restaurant in search for good food.

I took my husband here for his birthday. He's a steak eater, I'm a seafood lover and we have 3 children. The menu accommodated all of us. The children's menu was more extensive than most restaurants and even had sirloin. Our waitress Jenny was very attentive and provided excellent service. My husband especially loved the macaroni and cheese with bacon. The price is great. When it comes to a family of 5 it can't get very costly! If you're looking for a nice family steakhouse, this is it!

Wonderful! Went there for our anniversary ... Delicious! Great waiiter - thanks Chaz! Filet mignon was like butter and the stuffed trout was amazing. We spent more than we normally do on a dinner, but it was well worth it and we'll definitely go back - just a little closer to home.
