I was trying to avoid going to Whole Foods for an over-priced wedding shower cake, and someone recommended Graul's. I got the BEST cake, nicely decorated and everyone thought is was the best thing they had ever tasted! Even the bride-to-be, who was starving herself to be sure she fit in her dress, had two pieces. A phenomenal cake at a very affordable price. And locally owned! Highly recommended.

Best grocery store in the world! I've lived all over, Europe, South America, the West Coast - and no place has the quality and selection of Graul's homemade and prepared foods. COOKIES COOKIES COOKIES!! Their almond macaroons are like pure marzipan and melt in your mouth. Chocolate top cookies that you can't stop eating. Jelly cookies that taste like sponge cake. Every time I come here I load up on several boxes for friends on the west coast. DONUTS, DANISHES, CORN MUFFINS, ECLAIRS They still are better than all the rest, they taste great and there is nothing like a Graul's cinnamon cake donut covered in sugar and cinnamon - this is not Dunkin Donuts or Hostess and that is a GOOD THING. Best deli and prepared foods in Baltimore. They still make a shrimp salad that is ALL shrimp. Their chicken salad comes in two varieties and is always fresh and LIGHT on the MAYO. HOMEMADE SOUPS! HOMEMADE JAMS AND JELLIES! This store is a plethora of old world goodies from a traditional family owned grocery and the quality is comparable to a European bakery. They make their own bread, cheese biscuits, powder rolls, pretzel rolls, they even make their own MAYONNAISE and it is to die for. RACK OF LAMB, VEAL, jumbo lump CRAB CAKES!! Things you can't buy anywhere else you can get at GRAUL'S This is the best place to come for home made delicacies and I still have friends from France and Belgium who make a point to come to Baltimore just to stop at Grauls and buy up on homemade pastries and shrimp salad. DON'T let the prices fool you, they are worth it and no more than other area grocery stores. You can always buy your produce somewhere else, but you can't get Grauls homemade port wine cheese at the awful Giant.

cute family owned supermarket frequented by locals, they seem to know all their customers. Great choice of foods, especially local (think Berger cookies, they even make their own), big deli, premade sandwiches and salads (really reasonable) and british stuff and things you won't find everywhere. they have a million samples for snacking as you shop. Not the cheapest store in the world but I did get a great deal on club soda:) interesting wine store associated it with tastings which include cheese and crackers. lovely!

The free samples are the only good thing about this store so if you go there be sure to indulge its like a free lunch otherwise there is a lot to be desired about this location so do shop elsewhere and you will find it cheaper and better! The fresh market in Towson circle is a brand new store and a much better alternative than a small chain store that's off the beaten track.

In my week in Baltimore playing housewife and shuttling the kid around, I stopped here a couple of times, primarily because it was easy to find and Ada Gs daughter and husband like the donuts. Who am I kidding, I would never turn down a crueler. Ada Gs husband bought some flowers her for her birthday and they were pretty wilty, but c'est la vie.

Graul's is a great place to purchase deli/cheese/party platters. Other than that...take it to a larger chain. The space is small. Some people feel thats a nice change of pace, cute and even quaint until its a heavy shopping time and you have to negotiation your cart with 14 others to get to the prepared foods case (which is also nice). Additionally, it wasn't lit well and there was a smell.....like an old supermarket. Just go to Wegmans.

Good bakery section. I've had a couple of run-ins with snobby customers. The attitude I've often experienced here has been less than ideal. Went here twice, and the staff (both times) served the man *behind* me in line - it was as if I was invisible.

Graul's Market is a cute and convenient store that is really close by my old place. Sometimes the convenience makes up for the high prices. However, I would rather go farther for lower prices if I didn't have an emergency.

This place has some nice store-made goods, but overall impression is that most things are over priced and just displayed nicely. The cheese selection is very very nice as is the sausage selection. The produce is super fresh and lovely. The meat selection is reasonably priced, but small. I think the big draw is pre-made food that's ready to eat. I bought the crab pate - it was gross and overpriced. Tasted like jello mixed with crab, green onions and a little cream cheese. Not tasty! This place may be worth a stop for one or two items, but I would never do all my shopping here. Maybe I've just tried the wrong things. I'll report back if my meh-it's-just-ok opinion changes.

Truly a local family oriented market with everything you could need. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

I've been going here forever and a day. The prepared food section and bakery are the best in the area. If you're lucky to ever find it, try the orzo veggie salad with feta. It's like a party in my mouth every time I eat it. The bakery makes some epic tasting and looking cake, and the black bottoms are addictive.

This place smells like urine... Not a great first impression, especially since my expectations were so high. Prices are too high on items you can buy anywhere. However, they do carry Bell and Evans fresh chicken in various cuts, which is impossible to find anywhere else in town.

Not a place to shop for your staples but they have high quality store made foods, like chicken noodle soup and peanut butter.
