Foods are as usual. Red lobster has been always one of my favorite Resturant. But in this one, foods are ok. It took 25 min to get a table (so busy) But service is not great. Ordered ultimate feast, wood grilled lobster and salmon. Took forever to bring. Only the taste melted us when we were getting almost out of patience.

Just a few days ago, my boyfriend and I visted this Red Lobster. The Host informed us of a 20min wait but said we could sit at the bar to get quicker service. We sat at the bar and waited nine minutes before a bartender or anyone else for that matter came to greet us and take or food or drink orders. Whilst waiting we noticed that several booths and table were empty and clean so not sure why we couldnt get a table anyhow. After the bartender finally came around, she walks up smacking her gum, with an unhappy nonchalant attitude. She asks us for our drinks (me a water and the boyfriend iced tea) then she asks us for our ids as were in the bar area. I'm from Virginia and although im 23 years old my license is still vertical and doesn't expire for another few yrs. Due to this she tells us she can't accept my id, so we'll have to move to a general dining area. I've had my id turned down in Maryland for alcohol often so thats why I ordered a water. However I've never had any issues sitting at or in the bar area because I was over 18 even if they wouldn't serve me alcohol. Needless to say, my boyfriend was livid and decided to leave altogther rather than have to wait an additional 20min for a table after the poor wait we already had. Wouldn't have been a problem if we hadnt waited all that long just to be told we couldn't sit there. Can't say I blame him, and it looks like we won't be visiting again.

I am completely outraged with the service I have received today at the Suitland, MD location. I arrived to the restaurant alone to begin waiting for my family, I was told the wait would be about 20 mins. My family arrived about 25 minutes later, and I was told that the wait would be another 40 mins. After 40 mins my buzzer rang, when we proceeded to the desk, I was told that it was a mistake and that we needed to return to our seats. We had now been waiting for over an hour and 25 minutes. I asked to speak with a manager, and was told that she did not have time to attend to us. I am shocked at how rude the manager was to loyal customers . I attend this location weekly , and will never be returning. The corporate office really needs to look into how this location is being ran.

We stopped by for a happy hour snack after work on the way to visit my grandmother in the hospital. We ordered the $5 fish tacos. They were actually shrimp and had only 2 small shrimp, they were tasty, but not great. I ordered the skinny margarita and it tasted very sweet and syrupy, so wasn't sure how "skinny" it really was. The cheddar bay biscuits though... still banging. Dangerously delicious.

I mean.... It's Red Lobster.... It's like the Ruby Tuesday's of seafood.... You want REAL seafood in the DMV area, check out Old Ebbits Grill

Against our better judgment, we stopped here for lunch ONLY for the following reasons: 1) close to a meeting I had 2) I had to go to the loo after driving from Gainesville for meeting 3) I was beyond hungry 4) We were not familiar with the area and no time to explore Although I'm not a fan of Red Lobster, the above took precedence. We sat in the bar, which was not crowded. Service was slow but cordial. Food was greasy and they forgot my coleslaw. We didn't say anything because we had been there for 1 hour already, I was late for my meeting and only had time to break open the crab legs at record speed, gulp down my drink. Lesson learned: trust judgment and pack granola bars.

I'm sure you already know about Red Lobster and its seafoody offerings. But how does this location measure up? Hot biscuits, good service, and superior location (close to Branch Ave Metro, right off Branch Ave and not even a mile from the Beltway for all of you weary travelers). As a nearby resident, I only hope that RL does not become my dining room away from home!

We came here around lunch time and though the line was pretty long, our wait was very brief. We sat down and were served with a very outgoing server who was very attentive to us! I had the Lobster Lover's Dream (YUUUUUMMMMMMY!!!) I really can't think of any words to describe how lovely my lobster was! I really don't remember what my husband had, but it was good as well! Spoke with another waitress and the manager and everyone was sooo nice! Would definitely come again to this Red Lobster if I were in the area again!!!

Food is relatively good. Nothing fancy but the meals are well priced. Lobster was a bit chewy....The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Wait wasn't long.

The food was really good. Our server ( Kandace), was exceptional. Very attentive. We never had to ask for anything. She was always on top of anything we might have needed. Great asset to this restaurant.

If you are going to eat here be sure you have cleared your schedule because you will wait forever and for everything. I gave 2 stars bc the food coming out the kitchen is normally pretty good but it's the horrible service and super light alcoholic drinks that brings this place wayyy down.

The food is ok but the service sucks! I live right down the street and will bypass this Red Lobster and go to the one ALL the way in Waldorf, Md.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits were hard & cold!!!!! Craving the fast food of the sea I decided to stop into Red Lobster on Saturday December 20th, 2014. My waitress was unbothered by anything we had to say--almost like she wasn't even there, and the food was average. I was however disappointed in the Biscuits which is one of my favorite reasons to come. I don't visit this location much but will be doing my best to avoid them

  • S Christine S.

My server Myriah was excellent! I've never been to this location before and BOY were they busy. She made the wait pleasant though, constantly checking to make sure I was OK. Drink was STRONG and food was hot. She was very personable and attentive. I had a stressful day before I came here so the drink and her friendly personality was right on time! I spoke to her manager to let them know what a great experience I had here. I will return!

Poor poor poor poor customer service. How is it remotely possible to have a 40 minute wait with an empty restaurant and 2 couples waiting to be seated. The answer "You don't want to overwhelm the wait staff" if that's the case just tell they stay home and pay them for doing nothing. Then that smug condensing look from who appears to be the head hostess. You may get away with this now but things in this area will eventually change and this will not be tolerated. Either get it together and start printing up your "Out of business" signs. Never again. I have choices where to spend my money.

The food was "OK".. Bit the service was HORRIBLE! They wouldn't take care of me, or atleast thats how it seemed. My waitress wasn't very verbal with, kinda short and dry and would put me last on everything. People that came after me got their food and bread even though I kept asking. I won't be coming back.

This Is normally the worse. Red lobster in maryland but today we had a waitress named Amber. They have a brand new menu with lots of of great choices. I'm a lobster man myself and they have lots of different options. Make sure you ask for Amber when you come

Okay wow! Where do I begin? I have to crack my knuckles for this one because a LIST of things went wrong. My girlfriend and I showed up at this Red Lobster on the night of March 14th, 2015 at about 10pm at the request of my sister who was having a birthday celebration gathering. Due to a tire situation we arrived an hour late. My girlfriend and I walk in and there is no one standing there to greet or seat us. We stand there waiting as various staff members just look at us and stare without even a smile or a "someone will be with you shortly " or anything. EVENTUALLY a guy comes up to the host stand to greet us and I ask about my party. He swiffles the floor the whole time while talking to us..smh..He can't identify that table off the name I gave him, not totally his fault, mind you, but after a quick phone call I find out my sister and family are still there. I immediately go to the restroom first before meeting them and this is where the second problem arises. The restroom is nasty. It looks like it hasn't been touched, let alone even made tidy in hours. There are used paper towels strewn everywhere. Not a good look. Eventually my girlfriend and I make our way to the table. My sister and her group had all been seated at least 40 minutes before we arrived and there were still menus on the table. No one's order had been taken! My sister informed me that they had waited at least a half hour just for bread and water. The waiter comes at around 10. He seems completely sedated and uninterested. There are 15 people seated and he takes 5 of our orders at the time and then walks away without taking the orders of the other 10 people because he "couldn't the get the attention" of everyone else that was seated as my sister overheard him saying but he did come back a few minutes later to take the rest of the orders. I order beers and some side orders which take a half hour to come with the appetizers that the first five of us ordered. Now we are approaching 11:00pm -a full two hours after our group had arrived for our reservation and no one's entrées have been served. At this point people aren't even interested in eating anymore. Everyone is frustated. Some of the entrees start showing up but the orders are flubbed. At this point people are BEYOND frustrated. A disagreement with the waiter ensues over the pasta that my neice so clearly had ordered loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear which the waiter claims we did not order at all. So we wait some more. My niece is crying at this point. There are two pregnant women in our party that haven't even been served. A guy "manager" comes out and says nothing as we voice our concerns and then leaves the table because people are upset which we clearly have grounds to be. He had no inkling of diplomacy or even a bit of compassion. Then a woman manager eventually comes out who I assume is the head manager or whatever. We voice our concerns to her. She actually listens but all she can do at this point is offer boxes for the food that came late or was yet to come because people just want this horrible night to be over with. The service was SO bad that the restaurant had no choice but to eat our bill that night. I will never IN LIFE go to another Red Lobster again. The highlight of the night was a completely random woman server asking us to have a nice night with a smile and the polite plains clothes cop waiting conspicuously by the door as we left. SMH....0 stars. Never again. And the restaurant is actually on Auth Way. Why anyone would want to go here after what I described is beyond my comprehension but if you put Auth Rd. in the GPS you might not find it. As far as I'm concerned you'd be lucky. P.S. only one star because apparently Yelp is forcing me to. *shrugs*

If I had my way I wouldn't give this place any stars, but unfortunately Yelp is making me. On March 14, 2015, my cousin was having a birthday dinner here. Her reservation was set for 9:00 and they didn't sit us until after 9:20, we waited over 40 minutes for bread and water and our orders weren't taken until close to 10 pm and food was served until close to 11 pm which caused several people in our party to leave. The waiter was extremely unprofessional. My cousin's daughter ended up in tears because all she wanted was some pasta (which the waiter told us we didn't order). We asked for a manager who clearly wasn't taught to deal with situations like this because as we began to complain, he turned around and walked away stating that "you are getting loud". Well sir, you would get loud too if you were pregnant you were hungry and it took someone over an hour to bring you bread and water. I told him the food should be free and he stated "that's not going to happen, but you can get an adjusted bill". For what??? Bread and water? The second manager who came out was a woman, Courtney was her name I believe and while she tried to resolve the situation she was just as unprofessional. She claimed that different managers have different tolerance levels and in turn I responded "well they shouldn't be a manager then". As a manager you should be able to handle any situation. She insisted that we stay and eat, but at that point everyone wanted to go home. So everyone was given to-go boxes for their food and they insisted on trying to charge us. By the end of it all the food ended up being free, but I feel it was only an effort to keep us from proceeding with contacting their corporate office or even putting a review on Yelp......well not going to happen. NEVER and I repeat, NEVER GO TO THIS RED LOBSTER! We didn't even receive and apology for such poor customer service. They need to hire all new staff and actually get some managers who won't let things like this happen.

Tonight was the worst ever - Manager Simon C. Was awful in satisfying the need of me the customer. I ordered the mussels for starter advertise as having tomatoes - no tomatoes no where near the dish.... I then order the lobster Bake - that finally came out and it looked as if they went through the trash and pick out what other folks didn't eat..... It was the worst I have ever seen in the history of me going to the particular Red Lobster. I than order the Rainbow Tout... Law'd could it get any worst.... Yes, it tasted as if they got it to pit of the trash..... Just a horrible night and on top of that I was hungry.... Worst Dinner Ever.... I feel if they don't want to serve the customer quality food - why not just CLOSED.... The food I got tonight I would feed it to a HOG... And they eat everything.....

I love their Bar-harbor Salad with grilled shrimp (Blue cheese dressing). High calories with protein and best of all tasty. It is close to my work so I hop their during lunch time. Get my food for $8.00 a pop with the tip at the bar total $11.00 Not bad.

I came for a meeting with a party of 6. I had the most amazing experience at this Red Lobster. The drinks were good. The food was ok. What really made this one of the best dining experiences ever was our Server NIQUE! He didn't omit one detail. He made great recommendations. He wrapped our food. Those are only a few examples of him going above and beyond! When we went to compliment him to the manager he already knew who waited on us. If you go it's a must you request him as your server.

Didn't even get to place an order so I can't judge how the food taste, but just needed to let people know how bad the service is here. Called to place an pick up order and it took 6 rings before someone answered (red flag). Once someone answered I was placed on hold so my order could be taken. Well I waited and waited for about 8 mins. They must've forgotten about me so I hung up and called back. Same thing happened, they answer and place me on hold but my dumb behind stayed on the line for 13 mins this time. Once I realized how long I was on hold I gave up on trying to eat there. Needless to say I will NEVER call or dine in at this location again.

I was in here about a month ago. I cannot express how unprofessional this waitress was. I've worked in restaurants before. I know how this shit is supposed to go. Don't take 15 mins to get me a soda. Don't take 15 minutes to come to the table. Don't mention that I drank my water really fast (I was thirsty). I love seafood but this place just sucked with the service that I couldn't wait to leave. It was me and a party of 3 other people. When we asked to have the bill split the waitress said she wasn't "allowed" to do that. WTF do you mean you're not "allowed". I don't give a shit what you're "allowed" to do--I KNOW that little machine over there can print out seperate checks. I don't care if you have to place our orders on different tables--YOU CAN DO IT SO DO IT. I swear I was about to walk out.

  • V J.

I've been by here a few times to attempt to dine in; however the wait is usually ridiculously long so I usually go the to-go route. The one time that I did come in and ate at the bar on a weeknight, the environment was less than desirable as we were sitting near the service bar portion and it was simply a filthy mess. Not to mention the staff seem to use that area as their complaining booth and I was beyond over hearing their bitching by the time I left. In terms of the to-go service, the ladies who work that area whenever I go in are extremely friendly and have never messed up my order. The downside is that there is only one to-go window that services those placing orders and picking up orders, and it is right in the line of traffic between the waiting area and dining room. With that being said, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat here or come in during a special occassion, but if there's a night you're just not up for cooking and want to call something in to pick-up and you're close by...go for it.

  • Delia H.

I would not recommend this particular Red Lobster to anyone. Oh and by the way, I love Red Lobster. The staff is ghetto and rude and to top it off, the ladies restroom is always disgusting beyond repair. In fact I saw a staff member in the restroom putting on makeup. I attempted to asked her if she could let someone know that the bathroom needed to be cleaned; however she cut me off and rudely replied, "that's not my job." I then proceeded to finish my sentence as she abruptly walked out of the bathroom. Please don't waste your time at this Red Lobster. Visit the one in Waldorf instead.

This is more of a 3 star restaurant. But my last experience here was very pleasant due to our wonderful server. She was really adorable and sweet. She took the waiter mantra "anticipate the need" very seriously. I remember sitting in my chair thinking "I think I really want another cheddar bay biscuit". Though I'd never told the waitress that, *poof* they appeared as if she'd read my mind. I was far less impressed with my meal however. I got the broiled platter which comes with shrimp scampi, stuffed fish, and scallops. This isn't my favorite red lobster meal but after having so much bread (which is why everyone eats here, for their warm piece of cheddar bay heaven) I was trying to go a little lighter. The fish and shrimp scampi were pretty good. But the scallops tasted very fishy. Literally. I'm not used to that ocean taste from scallops. They're supposed to be lighter and less sea-like. And I just didn't get that. They were awful. On the more positive end though, Red Lobster has amazing sangrias--which I wouldn't have expected from them. And to top it all off, our waitress ended the night with a bag of hot cheddar bay biscuits to go that weren't asked for but very much appreciated. And they actually taste very much like the real thing when warmed up in the oven. Overall I had a wonderful dining experience made better by unforgettably good service and that's always worth 4 stars.

Yeah i understand that it's in the urban part of Suitland/Marlow Heights/Temple Hills but this is a fun spot to come to. Staff is colorful but they're cool. The food is good as well as the drinks.

The food was horrible. Everything was sent back. I ordered an uneatable appetizer. Sent it back. The entree came. It was horrible. It went back. The kicker was the manager did not come to the table although I requested his presence. Apparently he was too busy making sure his friends were having a good dining experience. The server apologized for the bad dining experience. Her service was good. Oddly enough, I was charged for the soda. Wish I could give half a star or less.

I am reviewing only the bar portion of the restaurant as I went here to watch the end of a Redskins game one Sunday. I did not get anything to eat and just drank. Props to Shaneka, Tomeka, Laquanda....I didn't get her name but she hooked me up with my crown and coke. It was pretty much straight crown. I think she was trying to take advantage of me for when she got off of her shift. hahaha. Pretty chill bar and nice atmosphere. Again, only reviewing bar area (3 stars) of restaurant and not the sit down area.

So I had been craving RL's biscuits all month and finally I had the opportunity to go (my birthday). FINALLY, the moment I had been waiting for, the buttery, garlicky, cheesy goodness that was RL's biscuits. When the waitress brought them to the table I dove in with both hands...only to discover that they tasted...biscuity. There was no cheese, no garlic, nothing - just bland yellow colored dough. Can any foodie out there relate to the disappointment? How does a chain restaurant manage to screw up their signature product? To add to the disappointment my drink (alcoholic of course) was a cheap imitation of what could have been a nice little buzz. I should have just ordered fruit punch b/c that's what it was: red and chock full of ice with no alcohol to be found. I'm pretty sure my blood alcohol level was .0000000000001%. I should have just canceled my order rather than waste $70 on what turned out to be the worst dining experience I've had in recent memory. The ONLY upside to this fiasco was the management and our waitress who were both very accommodating. It was a welcome change from the service I'd expect from an establishment in the area.

This was my first time at a Red Lobster and it definitely made a good impression. I waited about 10 minutes to be seated not bad considering the lunch rush. My server was a sweet and pleasant girl who was fast and attentive. Her name escapes me but I remember it started with an S. Food was hot and flavorful (caramel cheesecake was *drool*) and price was reasonable for the 4-course special. Will come back again for sure.

I'm never too good for a cheddar bay biscuit. But after my last visit to this Red Lobster, I have decided that I'm going to keep my bougie butt out of Red Lobster, especially ones in questionable neighborhoods. I was already skeptical about going to this Red Lobster because its service is hit or miss. But I decided to bite the bullet and went. I should have listened to my gut.I highly advise that you DO NOT go to this Red Lobster. I'm 99.9% sure that my credit card information was stolen at this restaurant when I visited in December 2013. Actually, my entire party's card information was stolen and the main connection was the fact that we were all together at THIS Rob Lobster. TRUST ME! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE!

  • Joan T.

The food was reasonably good, your typical Red Lobster fare (the flavored teas are fabulous), but the service was dreadful, particularly the hostess. The restaurant didn't appear to be full. We went during the middle of the week in the evening, but we still had a 10-minute wait. I was suspicious when the hostess gave us a buzzer, yet when another small party came in 15 minutes after us, the hostess attempted to seat them immediately even though we were still waiting. When we finally were seated at a table, we waited another 10-minutes before a waitress even approached us to say hello. However, the waitress was very attentive and very personable so that helped make up for the lacking hostess and the long wait. As with most Red Lobsters, the restaurant was too dark. If you're desperate for Red Lobster, then by all means eat here if it's the closest one to you. Otherwise, I recommend that you pass on this unlovely experience.

  • Tim M.

So, this red lobster has great food just as any other red lobster. However, in my past experiences the customer service hasnt always been the best. I ate there recently and the customer service was so so. They took their time serving us and were very nonchalant when we had an issue with something. I let them get away with it because the food was so good. Just putting it out there... if you go to this red lobster there's a 50 50 chance that you'll have a headache by the end of the night due to the working culture there.

I love the atmosphere here.....my server.....her name was Lyric.....she was amazing.....prompt courteous....my food order was perfect.....food came out hot and was delicious even though they were about to close.....I would recommend this restaurant to any and all of my friends and when you visit asked to be seated in the section that Lyric has that day.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. The place has alwasy been the pits. We only waited about 2 hours for a table. Then when we were finally sitted, the hostess was good, but the MANAGEMENT SUCKS. Because we ordered a drink from the bar, by the time it got to the table, FULL of ice, then drink was so water down - it was less stronger then my frozen drink. When I asked the manager for a suggestion to a replacement, she just looked dumbfounded and provided NO customer service and was basically debating the issue. Now, I don't know who is training the management, but really a DRINK replacement cost the company $7, a continued customer $$$valuable. So if you had to weigh your odds, even a 2nd grade could decided on the best customer service practice, then that sorry management. I WILL NEVER go back to that establishment again. It has a history of being GHETTO, and truly that cycle has NOT CHANGED. Stay away.

This is the most understaffed location Ive ever been too. WTF are they thinking. The staff is slow, but friendly. The food is, blah... (because I got sick the next day, and so did my sister...) I dont think I will be back...

My coworker is obsessed with the old Red Lobster special, Tilapia in a Bag. So obsessed that each year she can't seem to remember that they no longer serve it. Still, we humor her. I have no idea what was in this bag, but apparently it was amazing. Since she is our "administrative professional" and it was her "day" recently, it was fitting that we return for a celebration. I wish someone would treat me to lunch for non-administrative, non-boss appreciation day. Tilapia in a bag has nothing on the cheddar biscuits here. I would come solely to chow down on them. I ordered parmesan crusted tilapia with broccoli and rice pilaf. If by crusted they mean creamy, I'd say it was a-ok. It was actually pretty tasty for a fairly bland fish, but not what I expected in terms of crust. The broccoli could use some seasoning help. Both the hostess and the waitress were very friendly. Service was okay, but given we had a big group, I can't really make a fair assessment of what an average visit here would be like. Overall, a positive experience.
