They were good. I would have tipped more and ordered more frequently if the driver would have came directly to my door instead of making me walk to his car at the curb.

For cheap, decent wait time, eats you can order from here during their lunch specials for under $5. A little run down, but if you're here for the food then it'll be an in and out type deal.

If low lighting is your thing, this place will be comfortable. Reasonable lunch specials, for less than $5, you'll dine amid the gritty decor, and you'll walk away knowing you had a decent meal.

Based on reviews by Yelp, I ordered a delivery from China Sea. What ensued was absolutely ridiculous. The delivery person called me from the street in front of my house and demanded that I come outside to pick up my order. I have lived in LA, NYC, Cleveland and Atlanta, and never have I been asked to come outside for a delivery. I told him to come to my door and he refused. Finally, after I told him he would either have to bring the order to my door, or take it back, he came to my door, thrust the order to me and told me not to ever order from China Sea again. I was floored and highly insulted! The young, arrogant, and clueless kid who delivered my order missed out on a substantial tip -- I always tip well. I will NEVER order from this restaurant again.

I ordered the orange chicken and it was less than displeasing. It have me a stomach ache. I'm not exaggerating.

Ordered carry out for lunch and dinner for 2 days I got the spare rib tip w/French fries, fries for Friday's lunch were good found metal piece looked like a staple on spare rib tip so I inspected the rest of the tips before eating, Lunch special sweet and sour pork w/fried rice which I had for Friday's dinner was EXCELLENT and the shrimp egg foo young for Saturday breakfast was ok. Service is good friendly the restaurant looked like it was closed but I saw a woman in a beautiful BMW go in so I said ok it must be open. PRICES are CHEAP ok so I did find some metal in the spare rib tip I just know not to order that again. Their rice is GOOD and I don't even like rice, it has different kinds of veggies in it not just onion and sprouts. I fell for the sweet and sour pork so I will be back, I did ask the lady who drove the bemmer what her thoughts were of the food she said it was good and that she had ordered from them 5 months ago and no sooner had I placed my order 4 men came in and placed an order so as I case out a undesirable looking eatery I look at who is going in, how many go in so when you see a whole lotta MEN in a hole in the wall the FOOD is GOOD so I think I've found my Cheap GOOD Chinese food place oh the portions are Great for the price. Yes I will return

China Sea is okay for those who don't mind mushy veggies in their food. I ate there pretty regularly at one time for the proximity to the Census Bureau. However, the vegetables are never crunchy and fresh. The food is pretty tasty though. I would never eat inside the restaurant though; it is dark and overly ostentatious. Only do take-out.

On more than two occasions I've found pieces of metal-like shards of some sort in my food. I won't be ordering food from this place anymore.

For good Chinese food at a dirt cheap price, China Sea is a winner. The General Tso's is delicious. One of the few places that will actually make it spicy without you asking them to make it spicy. The subs are good too. The crab cake sub is very tasty, although I have a feeling the crabcakes alone probably would not be all that great. But in a $6 footlong sub, they are delicious. The fried rice that comes with the lunch specials is perfect. As the other reviewer mentioned, do take out or have it delivered. And don't let the beat up door scare you away. I've worked across from China Sea for 4 years and only recently discovered it.

China Sea has some good Chinese food. The place itself isn't impressive and you will not want to eat there. It's best to order out. China Sea is a little shabby place. If you pass the Post Office in one way, you've missed it. If you've passed the Mexican shops in the other way, you've missed it. Inside, the place is a little too dark for dining. However, some of the food are delicious. China Sea is generous with food servings. General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken are wonderful. Steer away from Hot and Sour soup because they put too much onions in it. And it tastes like someone forgot to wash their hands free of ammonia. Nonetheless, their food and prices are good to keep me coming back.

This place is disgusting. I got the mixed vegetables lunch special one day and vegetables were all spotted and disgusting looking. I'm pretty sure the specials are only $4, so it's hard to say no, but trust me, you gotta say no.

No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
