Finally, things have calmed down here at this location, which means you can come anytime during business hours and not stress about whether or not you'll find a stall. Sometimes it takes a minute to have someone take your order (after you've pushed the button in the stall), but be patient, as they're very quick and efficient when it comes to getting your food to you. They're very friendly, and they're always aiming to please. Never hesitate to make odd customization requests (for flavor mixes in drinks, or adding an onion ring to a chicken sandwich). If they have it in their arsenal, they'll be glad to use it upon request. Don't be afraid to be adventurous!

I LOVE SONIC, here's my only problems with this Location though. First Let me just say the whole setup to get into this Parking Lot HUGE FAIL the way their doing it by directing them into oncoming, MERGING TRAFFIC before a major intersection is nothing short of pure confusion and insanity. Then you finally get in there and God forbid you have more then one person needing to place an order the whole world stops cause not one single person working there knows how to do split tabs. Not to mention if you decide you want to do half cash half credit SKKKKKKKIIIIIIRRRRRRRRTTTTTTT STOP TRAFFIC cause they don't know how to do that either. So basically the only way your getting your meal with your friends is if you plan on paying for everyone in your car cause otherwise they won't do it. (Least at this Location) all other ones have been fine GREAT INFACT! It's a shame...

pretty good. good chili and Chicago dog. Good tater tots. Good burger. Horrible try to get in there.

I came here because I received a $10 gift card. I order and something happens with the machine, causing my gift card to be void. I had to pay the full amount which was annoying. Then my boyfriend and I order and they get both of our orders wrong. They were quick to fix it but I am overall not pleased and never coming back. Getting in was also a headache.

Was craving some breakfast food late at night. Didn't want to do a diner so we decided Sonic! The service was awesome the guy was nice! Food came out quickly and hot. Bacon, egg and cheese burrito with a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. My bestie and I love coming here late at night. Highly recommend

This Sonic is on the corner of a busy intersection on Rossville Blvd and Rt 40, but is only accessible while driving east on 40. If you are coming from Rossville Blvd, then you need to turn into the Wawa parking lot and then turn right onto Rt 40 and make a quick right into the Sonic and then either park in one of the drive up spots or proceed to the drive thru. So once you have finally made your way in, take a minute to look over the plethora of menu choices. It always takes me a minute because I have to decide between breakfast, lunch/dinner or dessert. Or all the above :) The Chicago dog is awesome and I just can't get enough of their tater tots and jalapeno poppers. I haven't had a frozen treat that I didn't like and their milkshakes are half price after 8 pm, so that's a win-win right there. I absolutely love their breakfast toasters, burritos and Java Chillers. I think my friends and I are walking advertisements for Sonic. There is absolutely nothing that they have that we didn't like. My only complaint (besides the location on this store) is that they aren't open 24/7!

Decent. I never knew that SONIC existed on Pulaski Highway until I was in the area recently for another matter. I had been to one another SONIC location, which somewhere in the boondocks in Virginia. The other Baltimore location, on Liberty Road, is usually too busy and far out of the way for me to make a visit. I won't get into the parking situation here, because we all know by now its set up in a pretty mediocre fashion. I ordered just the Jumbo Popcorn Chicken meal from the self-order screen. Overall, the popcorn chicken held me over for the mean time and fries complimented the eating occasion. Now, of course, I had to get one of those slushes. That's pretty much one of the only reasons people want to come to SONIC anyways. With that said, the Grape slush helped wash down the decent food order that was digested some seconds beforehand. I want to see how the Liberty Road SONIC differs from this location, so I'll have to actually stop by that location to compare and contrast. I'll give this SONIC location 3 stars for now.

Food is good and the milkshakes are the bomb. Just count your change when going through the drive through. Not a good experience.

I have been watching Sonic commercials for a while now, wondering where the heck can I get my food roller-skated to me. Lo and behold, they start popping up in Maryland! This location is right near my house so it is convenient. The service is okay for a fast food joint. The food is loaded with sodium, but maybe thats what makes it good. Their tater tots are addictive and I do enjoy corn dogs. Their chili and cheese is on the salty side for my liking. I also enjoy their limeade - very refreshing. Their ice cream is also yummy, but nothing special. The past couple times I've gotten a sonic blast, it seems like the "mix-ins" are just at the top and don't make it all the way through the cup. All in all, its a good place for a quick dirty meal.

Sonic is a fun place to go where you can pull up to a stall and order your food through your very own intercom system. The server then comes out to your car to bring your food. Some skate and some don't. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, fries and tater tots! This is one of the only places that serve tater tots. The best part about Sonic are the soda combinations and shakes. Because it just opened a couple of weeks ago, there are traffic cones and people directing the traffic. Yeah for Sonic in Rosedale!

  • Jen W.

Bad service every time we go here. Saw an ad that said buy one get one free. When we got there the car-hop told us we needed to have the text message. No where on the ad did it say we needed the text messages. She also then proceeded to skate away without giving us our change. I've gone to this sonic more than once considering it is the only one around and I have had my car-hop skate away without giving me change on more than one occasion.

Eh... The rollerskating girl was something of a novelty, but it's pretty much just a marginal improvement over a run of the mill drive-thru experience. The food itself was not very spectacular for all the hype that goes behind this place. Somewhere solidly between Burger King and Wendy's, I don't care much to delineate a specific ranking.

I have been to all three now in the area, though quite a distance it is worth it. The restaurant is clean and relaxing. Fast service and nice eating areas that you can use outside of the car. Very kind staff too.

Where do i begin with this place?? 1st thing 1st the PARKING LOT SUCKS A$$. A huge failure. Be very careful when you do try to enter this place. its very confusing Now lets talk about the best part about sonics.. THE FOOD :) Its sad to say their food sucks here. Got a chicken sanwhich here TODAY on my lunch break. My bottom bun was stale :( which upset me b/c i was looking forward to eating it. The sandwhich was just thrown together as if they didnt care how they served it. I must say the sides are pretty good. like the Japenlo peppers. (however you spell it lol) What i do love about this place is that most of the servers are on skates(which seperates them from other fast-food places) And they have above decent service. LOVE their ice cream. I would highly reccommand this place for kids. other then that.. i will not be returning

Food came out within 5 to 10 minutes. Everything was made correctly, hot, and fresh made. We got the fiesta steak burrito meal with tater tots, mozzarella sticks, corn dogs, and the 5 piece chicken strip meal with fries. And of course a slushy that was enjoyed by both parties. The chicken tenders were extremely small though and looked more like chicken pieces to be served to a child. They were still enjoyed nonetheless. This location looks like the rest but seems a bit smaller, but service was on point. I enjoyed this day because I turned someone onto Sonic that previously despised it.

The best part about Sonic is they have hot dogs, tots and a huge selection of drinks. The burgers and other sandwiches are passable, but you know this where the company invests their marketing. Always fast service, always friendly and usually accurate, this is a good place to pop by if you're in a hurry and are sick of the Golden Arches and all of it's "other burger" competitors.

Just stopped by to get my daughter a kids meal and some treats for us and my daughter hands me her chicken strip that has a bone in it ! I'm thankful that she wasn't hurt and didn't choke on it ! Not to mention that our orders on our blast and java chiller were wrong . When my husband said something about it the server went on about how she'd have to go through a long process to fix it . She didn't give us a receipt either . This place is really hit or miss , I don't recommend their food at all .

This place is great they have excellent customer service and the food is awesome. We came here tonight for a "date" night (yep we still do that) the footlong with chili and onion is so delicious. The roll is so soft and fresh it's heavenly, the tater tots are never greasy or burned they're cooked just right. For my dessert the I chose the Snickers Waffle Cone Sundae wow, that's how I describe it. FYI: when ordering a waffle cone sundae make sure you eat your meal first because they don't have cups to carry the sundae out. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Growing up in Maryland, I used to see all these Sonic commercials on TV... then find out that they were all located hours away. So I was excited to hear that they were coming to the Baltimore area. But for some reason, it took me several years before I finally made it to a Sonic in the Baltimore area. It was a cute, retro vibe. Just park and order via intercom. I had a chicago style dog with french fries and a sonic limeade. The fries were thin and crunchy. I loved them. The Chicago dog was pretty good though it probably wouldn't blow the socks off any Chicago expats in the area. And of course, the limeade--probably Sonic's most famous product--was good too. And I liked the little mints they gave you with your meal too :) It's certainly not fancy but it's a decent and fun place to get a quick bite.

I usually love sonic, but one day I ordered a chicken sandwich and took a bite and it was raw. Not pink, not somewhat undercooked,RAW. Haven't eaten there since, don't think I ever will. But the frozen drinks are good.

Dined 7 July 2012 The Sonic in Rosedale is everything I expected of fast food heaven. I love the different varieties of hot dogs, and my favorite is the new Frito's Chily Cheese Cony Dog, OMG its so DAMM G O O D ! ! ! We are huge onion ring fans, and Sonic does not disappoint. Their onion rings are orgasmic, with a delightfully crunchy and flavorful outside covering the juicy tender inside. Car side service, menu boards with credit card readers, what's a modern twist to the drive in!!! We are addicted, and so will you if you show up here!!!

(10/4/2014) love the idea of the drive-in, but I just don't like eating in my car. We sat on the patio, I think this place does not have an actual indoor dining room. Car hops were super friendly and fast (they have to be, they're on wheels!). There was nothing really special about the meal itself, just fast food. Had the Sonic Burger and Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster, both with tater tot (slight fishy taste to the oil). Patties were very thin, not much juice, somewhat wan and gray. BBQ sauce on the tasted strongly of maple syrup, enjoyed the thick "Texas Toast" my burger came on and that I could add several special fixings like spicy jalapenos and chili. Highlight of a Sonic is the seriously overwhelming number of drink options for limeade, slushies, and shakes. After a total brainfart, just settled on unsweetened, plain iced tea. Prices are OK, a little higher than the other usual fast food places, but overhead, service, and options are def different. If you're curious, and really need to vacuum deep-fried bits out of your upholstery, give the ole drive-in a try.

It was nice to finally get a Sonic in Baltimore. The food usually comes out okay at this place but the blasts never have enough toppings. You will get about 1/4th of the way through the blast and end up with nothing but vanilla ice cream.
