DO NOT GO HERE. Very unfriendly Extremely RUDE. We were given dirty looks as soon as we walked in. One waitress walked over with menus and chips before we even sat down, gave them to us, did not say one word then walked away. We sat there for nearly 20 minutes, (only one of TWO costumers) and not ONE WAITRESS came to serve us. In fact, one woman walked pay us FOUR times. We looked at her, smiled, etc. trying to catch her attention but she would look at us and walk right on by each time. When the the third set of costumers came (Latino family) they were immediately attended to. To make sure it wasn't simply a language barrier I walked up to the bar and asked how much the chips and salsa were and in plain English I was given the price. We paid 2 bucks for the chips and left. When I told the woman that we waited too long for service instead of apologizing she just said 'ok' One star for not even getting to taste the food which may have been a blessing in disguise.

The library had just closed for the night, and I wanted to eat before going to the Legion Post for karaoke. While the shopping center needs to do a better job of clearing the ice, I decided to try this place. I had soft steak tacos with rice. Although service was a bit slow, I had the impression that my waitress was actually doing more than some of the others. She was polite, and I received exactly what I ordered. Food was fresh and hot. When I am in the area , I will probably be back.

I was drunker than Lindsay Lohan on prom night when I was here. TJ's (I already gave it an affectionate nickname) is a dive. It's dark. It's loud. It's full of drunken men. I love it. The beer was cheap and cold and the free chips and salsa were awesome. The random dude singing like karaoke sounded just like Vicente Fernandez. Then again, I was wasted. But it's a great memory.

I thought this place is an authentic Mexican restaurant but in fact it's another chain. We got there around 9:30 so the place turned into a bar with live karaoke performances by random guests. Very dark with loud music. I ordered the Tex Fajita. It was visually appealing and sizzling on the hot plate. However, the steak, chicken and shrimp were all very dry and extremely salty. I couldn't finish half of my meal. It also came with rice and beans, salad and guacamole. None of them suited my palate. Very disappointing,

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
