Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

High Cholesterol at TGI Friday

Fat and calorie count are normally high at American diners and TGI Friday is no exception in that case. You should make smart choices while dining at TGI Friday if you have cholesterol issues.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for High Cholesterol

So, I went here maybe a few months ago, and I just did not like it at all. I have no clue if they changed since I went because I will never set foot in that place again, but this is when I went. The service was decent, wasn't the best because there were always delays in getting drinks, and the food. Not to mention, this is not family friendly. Well, it is but it is LOUD. So loud I literally had to raise my voice to the point of yelling to talk to my brother and mother. I'm not the "bar" type guy so maybe it is me that just doesn't like the place. If you like loud places, and alright service, definitely go...but if you like it calm and a more friendly environment, go somewhere else..not worth your money. Not to mention, not the best lit place. Hopefully this helps.

we had a really awesome waitress but the food took forever to come out. obviously not her fault as she kept coming to check up on us. when the food finally came out, it was overcooked, dry, and just plain bad. not sure how this place stays in business, but all the best to that waitress and whatever career she decides to embark on!

I love Fridays but this location is miserable. The food is rushed. The place is dirty and the quality is sub standard. You normally know what you are getting with a chain but not with this one. This one time I sent back some pot stickers because they were burned. They immediately brought them back out re plated with fresh greens and flipped over to hide the burned food. It was then I just begged to leave but had to endure them trying to make things right. My burger with management attention came out wrong and my wife's food was wrong as well. This place herds you in like cattle which is fine but it can't handle the crowd. Even when I left hungry it took 20 minutes for the manager to comp our check so we could leave. This is not the first time we have been miserable here. Go to a different Fridays.

I am usually a pretty forgiving person, but service here is pathetic. The 2x I have been in I have eaten at the bar. Each time ordering dinner, having to stare down the bartender to actually place the order. As soon as they drop a beer in front of you, they disappear. They seem to be more interested in talking to each other than the customer. Even leaving tonight there were 2 employees at the exit when leaving, talking to each other, failing to offer the standard 'goodbye' one would get at other locations. The place (bar area) is dirty and in need of someone managing the building who cares. The food is consistent with other Friday's, so at least they have that going for them. That gets them the 1 star. I guess if you are looking for a great place to socialize while working with no accountability, you should definitely get a job here. Just don't come for the food or drink. I will go to Ruby Tuesdays across the street or Chili's from here on.

This place okay grab some appetizers and a drink they made some good amaretto sour and yummy mozzarella as well nachos I askI tried there salads and there good. An use a lil clean up and with service is a hit or miss!!! :-/

The bar honestly saves this place. It's everything that's wrong with the big box places. The service is decent depending on who you have. The food is what bothers me the most though, Premium prices for a non-premium product. Wish they had better and smaller bar foods/ prices. Anywho, as I said before the bar really saves this place. The bartenders are pretty friendly and attentive for the most part. This place is open later than most bars in the general area so you get a ton of regulars late at night. The drink specials are why I'm giving this place a higher rating than I should. Pretty good, though the best beer they have on draft is the magic hat. Overall the bar area is wayyyy too small, especially compared to the one in Tech Road in Silver Spring. That place is huge in comparison!

  • Kevin B.

Most of the time you can't go wrong at Fridays, but this one is bad the food and drinks are Friday's Quality but the staff at this location are a sorry bunch, especially at the bar trying to get service is hard work the bar staff seems to spend alot of time talking to each other instead of focusing on their customers.Bad service!

    (2)
  • Ferdinand H.

Heavy in calories, salt, and fats -- it's Americana for the masses, styrofoam packed and celophane wrapped. The service here was better than most, but that hardly negates the thrust of this post... Eat if you must, you won't feel ill-- But remember my friend, it's still better than swill! :)

    (3)
  • Ben S.

Not a bad restaurant, but too much money for what you get. If the price point were a few bucks lower, then it would get a higher rating. That said, the service was good, the atmosphere was good, the food was all right, but it was just a bit more expensive than it should be for the type of operation being run here. In short: not bad, but overpriced.

  • Chris H.

I like to find the good in almost any restaurant I go to. However, this TGI Fridays is the nastiest place in the area. The waiting staff is TERRIBLE, the food is TERRIBLE, it's not very clean, and did I mention how terrible the food is? Yes, I have been to TGI Friday's and have had some ok experiences. But having gone to this one I have pretty much sworn this place off forever. FOREVER! This is a chain restaurant at its WORST. After waiting forever for our waitress, who didn't seem like she even wanted to be there, I made the mistake of ordering fish and chips (I was hungry dammit!). What I ended up receiving were larger than average fish sticks that were dark brown and looked like they had been soaked in oil accompanied by soggy fries. Notice I said "soaked" and not "fried". Despite how disgusting they were I actually took a bite. Bad idea. As much as I hate doing it, I sent the food back and decided not to order anything. Another bad idea since the waitress proceeded to beg me to order something else. So I ordered something else, which was better but still less than adequate. I didn't even finish it, and when I don't finish the food it's BAD. The moral of this story is, if you like chain restaurants, live in a double wide and think Old Country Buffet is fine dining, go to this place because you will feel right at home. If you like food that is a.) edible and b.) edible, you definitely want to look elsewhere. Just keep driving down Rockville Pike until you see another restaurant. There are so many around here you will forget about this one as soon as you pass it.

    (1)
  • Lauren B.

Now anyone who knows me knows I don't do the chain restaurant thing if I can help it but I have one good friend who feels a certain sense of security in sameness so I always end up at a chain restaurant with him. In addition, this person does not see the lure of DC night life so we always end up in the 'burbs. Please trust that this person has some redeeming qualities. Anywho, Friday's is getting a solid three stars because they have some pretty awesome late night deals for those people who don't value sleep and don't mind going to work drunk. Its like a happy hour for the despondent. $2 Oktoberfest and something like 25 cent wings is worthy of something, isn't it?

    (3)
  • Irene H.

Its a good place to meet friends after work for cheap drinks, decent bar food and watch the game (with pop music playing over it). The bar runs a happy hour from 5 - 7 and 10 - close. Beers are either $2 or $3, a few of their mixed drinks were $4 (long island ice teas, margaritas, mojitos, and a few other drinks that I can't remember), and all appetizers (excluding the samplers and sliders) are priced half off. Wings were good, the Sesame Jack Chicken Strips tasted better than they looked, and the Loaded Potato Skins were satisfying. Service was good, although we're pretty sure they haven't learned all of their signature drinks (those overpriced girlie fruit drinks) since one of them didn't look anything like the picture in the menu. BTW, the pumpkin martini & punk pink are both very good. You're not going to get anything extraordinary here, but if you want just a cold drink and a quick bite, Friday's is a safe option.

    (3)
  • John K.

You know what to expect from Friday's. Oversalted fries, they cover everything in the Jack Daniel's sauce, and all you can think of is the amount of "flare" that they have (aka Office Space). Although I do miss the days of Bennigans right across the street, I feel that I would be betraying my beloved passed wife every time I step into this place. I'm not going to rate the food since you've all been to a Fridays, but I will say I had a pretty decent conversation with one of the managers behind the bar. Very friendly.

    (3)
  • Erica P.

There staff is friendly. Sometimes the food is better than the next time (varies) drinks are great. I go here quite often and its local.

    (3)
  • Sunshine W.

I have gone here for both lunch and happy hour recently. The service is extremely slow and the food is mediocre. The drinks were bad too. There were at least 3 bartenders standing around looking busy. Not worth it. There are better places to eat within walking distance.

After writing several restaurant reviews, I began to wonder whether there was any restaurant that deserved a ONE STAR rating. I thought about this for some time before coming up with TGI Friday's in Rockville. The place is clean enough. The food is passable (in more than one respect). The parking is fine. The atmosphere is what you might expect. The one thing this place lacks that eclipses all else is the service. The service sucks. I had a bad experience here several years ago during a family event (bad service, long waits) but decided to give it another chance. That second chance was worse. The hostess sat us around the corner in a quiet booth, seemed nice. As we waited for a waiter, an employee kept walking by, disappearing into a rear stall, reappearing a few minutes later to return to work. This happened a few times over 30-40 minutes. Yeah, we waited to long but after a while it became a question of: "How long can they really ignore us?" Finally, frustrated that no one had even taken our order, I went to inspect the stall and found that the employee was visiting the rear stall to hork down a few quick bites during downtime. We then tracked down a different host (the first one had vanished) and discovered that we'd been seated in a "closed area" and the chowing employee never thought to alert someone that we were there. This review might be a bit unfair. The restaurant management has likely changed in the last 5+ years since this event. Regardless, I have not been back to a TGI Friday's since and I doubt I ever will. You can't pay me (well, maybe you could) to deal with that sort of service. I didn't deserve it and they don't deserve my business. Maybe if they could give me a 40 minute life refund...

  • Janine G.

what can i say, service is ooookay and it's decent if you're lucky. the food, edible, not great. the prices, pretty high for the quality there's typically no wait no matter when you come here they are pretty good at reserving a large party for you, service may not be great (not like it ever is...) but if you want to set up a casual gathering, they have a separate area that is reserved at no extra cost. it's convenient to me, so i manage to come back once a month (at max if ever)

    (2)
  • Pinto Y.

Four years ago, that place was much better and I was a regular there. Something happened in that specific store of the chain and I have no clue what it is. The place literally stinks (upstairs) and the food is blend and lacks a... taste! A month ago I was there and it took the server 20 minutes to come and serve us. ever since I decided not to go back. Well, I'm not regretting.

    (2)
  • John S.

This is one of the restaurants that I frequently visit due to its late hours and convenient location from my residence. First the service is virtually always consistent. The server will attend to you soon after you are seated, get your drinks, take your order, come back to check on you, take refills, etc. This place is also noisy and can become very loud when its crowded. The food is what you would expect at other chain restaurants. I find the portions satisfactory. Get the the Stripes card (which is free) and the discount coupons you get are pretty good deals, the only thing is that the expiration date is alway really short.

Service is bad. Food doesn't taste good and the portions are small. I waited 15 mins for ketchup. just an overall bad experience.

I know better than to go to TGI Fridays for a drink (or for food, for that matter). Yet somehow one fine evening some of my wonderful childhood friends and I ended up here. Although we KNEW we were making a VERY BAD DECISION before we headed in, we weren't really prepared for how flippin' awful this bar "scene" is. Think back to every awkward social moment you witnessed in high school. Then add overpriced, weak drinks. And then realize that sitting on the curb at the corner of your block drinking beers (like in high school) is a much more appealing option than spending any time or money at TGI Fridays.

    (1)
  • Chris T.

Im laughing out load at all the negative reviews about this place. Come on, its TGI Fridays, what do you expect? Ive been to this place several times and have never had a problem. Drinks are good, food is good, youre in your out. If you want a 4 star restaurant, try elsewhere.

    (4)
  • paul l.

what can you say. it's fridays. it's not the best... but it aint the worst. honestly though, i wouldn't come here if i didn't have a coupon. the drinks are okay, but i feel some are overpriced. the wait is sometimes really long because these chain type joints get ubercrowded on the weekends in middle america (rockville is definitely middle america).

    (3)
  • Jeff L.

Sucks. Too loud. food is so bland. Bartenders are so lame. Price is too much for many of the dishes. For the same money, go across the street to Ruby Tuesdays because it has a nicer menu, presentation, faster service, and you can actually have a conversation without yelling.

    (1)
  • Scarlette T.

rockville tgif: this place is super trashy and everything: menus, tables, water glasses, are sticky! ew! i only come here when my one friend invites me out with his work friends. they only come for the cheap happy hour appetizers. the only thing i like here is the oreo madness and even that has shrunk over the years. never my favorite place to go.

  • Ted K.

Invited 20 co-workers to Friday's after work. I told the hostess I'd expect between10-20 people. She told me to wait so they could push some tables together. I was there 40 minutes. There were many empty tables. The man who came in before me laid down on the couch and went to sleep. Service was somewhat slow. The Bacon Cheeseburger was positively the best I have ever had. Extremely flavorful.

  • Sherri D.

Horrible service. If you're into pubes, it's the place to go. Seats in the regular dining area were clearly not busy and there were several tables open for my party of five and I, but the host said there'd be a wait. A wait for what?!? Ir was a Tuesday night and not busy at all. We seated ourselves in the bar section. The table was in the corner and it was cozy, but we sat there unattended for a good 20 minutes. No silverware, no water, no nothing. My friend picked up plates and menus off the bar himself. Finally, we got water and drinks. Then- waited another 20 minutes for the server to take our order for food. Food came shortly after ordering, but when we asked for the check- it took another 20-30 minutes. Our original server wasn't even the same person who brought our food and took our check. Waiting for the server to take our check took a good 20 minutes again - possibly longer. Not to mention that my food had curly hair in it- it was the prime rib stroganoff and ick, imagine my horrific reaction. The wait was horrible for what we wanted to be a rather short dinner.. Service unspectacular and non-existent... And come on! Curly hair in my food that looked like a pube yo?!!? I'll stick to the Friday's in VA.

i live right across the street from this Fridays so i like to frequent their happy hour specials but cheapness comes at a price. there is ONE bartender that's warm and friendly...the rest look absolutely miserable. on more than one occasion, the bartenders have walked right past my empty glass to just go stand somewhere else and continue doing nothing. i've had various serving/bar jobs over the past 10 years so i'm a pretty understanding and low maintenance customer but i don't think i've ever seen such apathetic service. unfortunately, i can not deny myself 2 dollar happy hour beers so i'll continue to go. to the one Friday's bartender who actually smiles and shows acknowledgment when we sit down at the bar: kudos!

THIS PLACE IS BUSY for a Sunday, therefore everything else is lacking. We came we entered we stood we were seated we ordered we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited some more...the waiter dude finally brought us our drinks so we continued to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait...Waiter stopped by "Sorry guys for the wait but the kitchen is really getting backed up please bear with me". Explained waiter dude. Okay fine so we wait and wait and wait...Waiter dude finally comes with our food, YEAH!!!! ohhhhh after all that waiting the food of course was a let down. But hey in here it's Friday's what did you expect. Fiancee saw an TV ad and the food looked so good to her that she was thinking about it the entire day. Even the picture in the menu looked delicious. When chicken and shrimp dish got in front of her it looked nothing like the TV ad nothing like the picture in the menu. Not over cooked, not spectacular just okay. Oh No, fiancee is now disappointed, "Don't worry dear just turn that frown upside down with another drink" but now she had developed a headache. So no more drink only dessert latter yes that'll made her feel better a little. Me now, I know better. What you see isn't what you get when it comes to pictures and TV. My steak was a smallish cut suitable for children really. No vegetation served with lots and lots of sweet potato fries. Everything tasted okay but just small in size. Steak cooked medium they way I like wish there was more of it. I don't like filling up on fries alone. As always had to polish off fiance's left over chicken. Desert time ordered coffee. What colour is this coffee looks like tea uugh it's neither "I apologize" said waiter dude "I'll get a fresh pot for you" thanks waiter dude. So now coffee is right umm that's good coffee I'll have a second cup. Vanilla bean cheese cake is here umm umm real good. The kitchen was backed up for about 30-40 mins. but waiter dude was good about it and gave us a free desert/appetizer voucher on our next visit. He was cool he did his job well it was not his fault the kitchen was slow. Maybe they were on there break back there. Food was good for what it is. This is Friday's not Mortons or anything like that. It supposedly a quick meal and hangout for people on their way to or from someplace. Portions could have been a little more generous. I'm not expecting Cheese Cake Factory size plates but just a little more to fill in the cracks. Check that Merlot a little too acidity but then again it's house Merlot ???? My Mojito was nice and strong a little too strong maybe. Or it could have been just the long wait and no food but anyhow I had to take my time to let it wear off before leaving. I've been eating at these types of places for years now. They are all the same just different names Ruby Tuesdays, Bennigans, Applebees, Chillies and so on. But all in all in here it's Fridays.

This place was horrible. I knew what I was getting myself into when I brought my wife here for a quick late dinner, but didn't think it would be this bad. They screwed up our order, food was awful, and spilled my wife's beer on the table and her lap. "T.G.I'm Never Coming Back"

Haven't been in a Fridays in years...but sometimes the world spins in funny ways and we ended up here on "Game Day" this evening. The Pike was a nightmare, couldn't find parking at Trader Joes, and just wanted the hell out of dodge! Using a short cut to get home, we cut through their parking lot, and thought let's eat and get it over with before going home. Went to CeCe's Pizza first -don't judge, never been there and will never step in their door again- waited way too long in line for what looked like a pretty crappy buffet. High tailed it out of there and saw the beckoning lights of Friday's. Fond memories of good times and bar food lured us in, and it was exactly what we were looking for! Got seated right away and our nice waiter Vinnie was right there to take our drink order....he must know how people feel after getting off the Pike! Anyway, sat there enjoying big beer schooner and yummy cosmos, and food came right away. I had the baby back ribs, and wedge salad - hubby had pot stickers and Cobb salad. Not show stopping, but not awful either - exactly what you expect for a Friday's. The real reason I'm writing all this is to commend the service! Our waiter was great, stopped by just enough, made great suggestions, cleared the table right away. I also saw the manager (or just some guy in a suit) cleaning floors, checking on guests, and just plain keeping the place running smoothly for a busy football watching night. Surprised by how many folks were there in jerseys, it seemed to be considered the neighborhood joint - which doesn't happen much in Montgomery County - at least not like Chicago from whence I came. All in all, it turned a cranky girl into a happy one, and will definitely go back when its time for beers, bar food and great service!

We had a party of ten, the service was the problem. We were the first three of the party to arrive, the hostess was great. It took the waitress about 10 minutes to realize we were there, she walked over to the table and stated, as she looked at the chairs. Oh you have a party of ten, we wanted to say no, we are just sitting here with our invisible friends. Then as the people arrived and the place wasn't busy, it would take her five minutes to come back to the table each time to get their drink order. As soon as she would get their drink order she would ask us are you ready to order. It was like she was in a hurry to get rid of us. I finally noticed after she would take our orders she would go sit down in the lower section of the restaurant. The bad service continued through out the evening. She handed us our bills and then proceeded to go and sit down in the lower section, making us wait another 5 minutes for her to come back and get them. The food was great and it arrived in a timely fashion. If I could I would literally just rate this waitress.

The service at this Friday's has always been fast and friendly, but the food has been inconsistent. Sometimes it is excellent, with crisp chicken tenders and fries (what I generally get when I come to Friday's), sometimes the chicken tenders have been soggy and nigh on inedible. I'm not sure I would come back to this location because of the uneven quality of the food.

This is one of the better Friday's I have been to food wise. The meals are always prepared properly and taste great. The service is usually hit or miss but that is due in large part to the volume they do here. The service on the floor is usually much better than that at the bar. This place is packed on any given night of the week from happy hour until late night. Lots of workers from nearby stores and restaurants come here after they close since Friday's stays open pretty late.

I like this Friday's. It's much better than the one in DC. The service is fast, and the food is pretty good for a Friday's. The strawberry daqueri's here are excellent and really big.

3.5 stars. The food was decent, not exceptional, but not too horrible. I wouldn't say the food is fresh cooked from scratch. It tastes like pre-prepared frozen foods that are then cooked or heated up. They remodeled this location, so the setting was nice. I mean, it wasn't the cleanest restaurant I've been to though. However, it's one of the better late night spots in the Rockville, Potomac, North Potomac, and Gaithersburg area to socialize at, have a few drinks at, or meet people at. If you don't feel like driving to Bethesda or DC, this is one of the better options among the few other places that are open after midnight. 3 stars for the food, 3.5 stars for the setting, but 4 stars for the above-average late night scene (which is limited in Rockville).

i'm not a fan of fridays, period, no matter the location. i always end up getting dragged here against my will, and every single time, i have been vastly disappointed. the food is awful. i ordered a vegetarian pasta the last time i went. the vegetables were dried out, and the angel hair pasta was soggy and cut up oddly. needless to say, i had to send it back. on the upside, the spinach dip is an alright go-to appetizer that pairs well with on of their frozen margaritas (which by the way, are really weak).

Some Fridays are better than others. This happens to be one of the good ones. I came here with my kids and their friends, so we had a rather large party of 5 for a busy Saturday night. Nevertheless, we were seated in about 15 minutes, and our waitress was very nice and brought us our menus. The kids menu had chicken tenders, so that's what they ordered. I tried the Jack Daniels steak, which was actually not bad, and pretty large. It was a little undercooked (I asked medium well, and it was pretty bloody), but I ate it anyway, and it was good. It came with a side of fries, which were limp so I didn't really want to eat them. The kids enjoyed their meals, and it's a good spot to go with fussy kids because they'll find something they'll like. They have a large, creative menu, and if you're a drinker, they have many unique drinks to try. The food is not outstanding but it's better than average, and the service is good, so it's not a bad choice, at least as far as Rockville is concerned.

Food is gross, not the cleanest place, service was good but the best thing and a star all on its own is the chocolate brownie with hot fudge and ice cream. If you are sharing ask for another scoop or ice cream. Salads OK. Wings pretty good. Beyond that, pretty gross. If you are on a diet that would be good you could order bland and simple and not be disappointed.

BP took me to Fridays to finally try their Unlimited Apps menu for $12. Our waitress Johanna took a while to get to our table (about 20 minutes) which had me mad, but once she started serving us, the excellent customer service did not stop! She had my apps coming one after the other (I could only work through four... boo!) and would ask me what I wanted for my next one as she dropped a previous choice off. I thought the service would be slow and the food to be skimpy, but it was not. I loved the mozzarella sticks. I asked for extra marinara and Johanna delivered. The sticks were perfection. Not greasy and extra cheesy. The sauce was excellent. Good to the last drop. The BBQ flat bread pizza was wonderful! The ingredients selected complimented the tender chicken and the smokiness of the dish. I just loved the crust. The Buffalo bites were great, as well. The chicken was not gross or filled with fat/tendons. I did not like the Spicy Chicken Tostadas. There was barely any chicken. I picked off the jalapenos so it was no longer spicy, there was way to much filler (cabbage/tomatoes). Thanks Johanna, for the wonderful Friday's experience!

What a bad experience. I came here around midnight after a long day of work for a quick bite to eat. When I sat down at the bar I couldn't help but notice everything was sticky; the bar, the menus, even the chair. There were flies everywhere. It's obvious that the bar needs a deep cleanse. It smelled of stale beer like a frat house would. Definitely not sanitary. The silverware in the roll-up was even dirty. The food was cold and tasteless. Doesn't anyone in the kitchen take any pride? At least make sure food is hot. The service was just as dismal. The bartender was texting on her phone the whole time. I wouldn't go back here if someone paid me to. It's run by a bunch of kids and it shows.

Food was mediocre; but the service was extreme slow!!! It took almost 15minutes to receive the check after notifying our server that we were ready to go. Then he sits and counts our money at the table like what?!?! Who does that. Does this company not provide receipts ?!

For a chain restaurant, the service was great. They were able to easily accomedated my family and I. I was impressed with the quality and portions of the food each of us ordered. I will gladly continue to do business with TGI Fridays.

do not go to this location!!! a big roach was crawling on the walls by my table. it's one thing when a restaurant has roaches and they hide behind stuff and you never see them. it's a completely different problem when a roach is so bold as to appear out of the blue while you're sitting there. the server said they have pest control at that location at least twice a week, so they were not sure why a roach would pop up. yeah sure, tell me anything. i blame this on that triffling manager(s)who knows they have a pest problem, but chooses to do nothing about it. i'm calling the health dept to see if they can come out to this location. if this location closes down for health inspection issues, tgi fridays better pay their servers for each day they would have missed and the money should come straight out of the manager's pockets. if the manager(s) cannot identify and correct problems at their restaurant, they need to fire themselves because they have no clue as to what they're doing and they're putting people's health at risk.

I haven't been to this Friday's in a while, but we stopped in on a Sunday for a late lunch. We decided to split an appetizer and order a soup and a small salad. The waitress said it would be cheaper for us to do the soup and salad combo and we could split that. When I ordered a coke zero, she said she wasn't sure if they had fixed it since her last shift, but what would I like instead rather than just bringing me a diet coke. I really appreciated her honesty and help.

Went here last night for some late night viddles. I was very pleased with my dining experience. My wife and I ordered the pick 3 sampler which had juicy buffalo wings, outstanding potato skins with bacon and cheese and lightly breaded oooy goooy mozzarella sticks. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I also had the jack Daniels ribs and shrimp for my meal. The ribs were juicy and the fried shrimp was crunchy good. The sauteed shrimp lacked in flavor and needed more olive oil and garlic. The ultimate long island iced teas were tasty and refreshing to compliment my meal. One of the better food experiences I've had at Fridays.

The food was good when it finally came but the service sucked! The manager tried to help but really needs to train their staff in restaurant operations. The tables are sticky and the beer on tap had a strange soapy taste to it. No need to order a watered down drinks. I have had enough. Check please!

So-here's the thing; I do not expect that Friday's will serve me anything than sub-par food at best. Friday's is the place to go when you want some deep-fried, crappy bar food and some happy hour drink specials on beer. Needless to say, we were caught in the midst of a winter storm the other day and having not gone to the grocery store, we decided to brave the cold and walk over to Friday's to see what was on the menu. We got there and waited at the hostess stand for a good 5 minutes while 3 employees stood in the back and held a conversation. 1 of those employees happened to be the manager who finally approached us and asked if we needed a table...? Perhaps this was just an anomaly-as it's perfectly normal for people who don't want a seat/table to walk into an empty restaurant during a storm and stand around at the wait stand just for the hell of it. Well, once we were shown to our table we sat there for well over 5 minutes without having anyone come over and offer us water or anything. (REMINDER-THIS PLACE WAS EMPTY!!!) We were fed up at this point and decided to leave. The manager then approached us and asked why we were leaving...Uh dude-the fact that you don't know why only further underscores the need for the low rating I just gave this place. YOU SUCK FRIDAYS!!! Peace Out!!! (FYI-We only went there because Chef Geoff's across the street was closed! Lol)

My wife and I love this place. We have never had issues with the food. The steaks are always cooked perfectly. The only issue is the service is decent but they are forgetful. However, it has never been a problem to where we have not enjoyed our dinner.

Im always going to this location but my first time writing a review. Ive loved Fridays since I was little and still get the cup of dirt (kids dessert) til this day. The location is very clean and seems well staffed. I came here with a friend and ordered the unlimited app for $12. What a deal! If you do that, come with an empty stomach as there are many choices for you to choose from. I also love how they have a drink special almost every day of the week for a great price.

  • Dimitri M.

Decent service. The food seemed to please everyone and the drinks were very good apparently. They have some promo thing going on with the wings where you can get the normal amount or the normal amount with free refills on wings for the same price which is cool. Not a bad Sunday night out.

At Friday's u know what to expect with the food. What separates them is the service. Well our hostess forgot the silverware and it went downhill from there. Out servers name was Joanne and she had the personality of a brick. She was extremely unattentive and left out leftover dishes as she walked past us several times. When she wasn't doing that she just wasn't around for long stretches! I ordered a steak and she didn't even ask how I wanted it cooked. Not to mention she brought it out without the shrimp. When told of this she acted as if I should get over it. If my husband and I return which is doubtful we will request to not be in Joanne's section!

TGIFriday's has always been the go-to for late nite munchies! The best thing is you have 2 happy hours...first one during the after work hours and a second one starting at 10pm until close!!! That means almost everything is $5 or half off. Yum! The menu has changed a bit. They now have a "little bites" menu too. Tapas at Fridays. Um. Ok. I was going to get a burger but decided to try 3 little things. I started with the Thai pork tacos from the little bites menu. They were not kidding when they said "little" bites. As a woman, I finished one of these tiny tacos in 2 bites but let's be honest...you can do it in one. The flavor was o.k. but at $7 I did not think there was value for my money. As it was Tuesday, everything Jack Daniels is $5. Drinks and 3 menu items. I like the sauce so I decided on the sesame jack chicken strips. They were more like long nuggets instead of strips. They were perfectly fried and nicely sauced. Best thing I ordered...but did the serving get smaller because the price did? Let's be honest. I love me some tater skins. I pretty much watched the clock to get to Fridays for the late night happy hour just for some fried wedges of potatoes loaded with cheese, bacon, scallions and sour cream!!! .......WTF??? (Mom, that is "what the fridays???) Some wacko decided to play around with the perfect bar food (next to buffalo wings) and they re-vamped it into some sad lump that Taco Bell wouldn't even serve! First they mashed the potato and formed it into a triangular yet curved form. Why? Then they fried it up and even though it sound like it would be a delicious potato pancake, it was a dried up, crumbly, messy lump. Then, they put processed cheese in the middle. Huh? I like processed cheese but not on a tater skin. I saw bacon but no scallions. At least there was sour cream. So, most of the yummy elements were still there. I cut off a piece and it crumbles. I spear it with the fork and half falls off. The trick is to pick it up with your fingers. Bottom line is it does taste yummy. But why mess with perfection? A hollowed out potato half, flash fried and covered with shredded cheddar, bacon and chives. A cute little boat waiting to be topped with sour cream. Fridays...blasphemy! I may be back for 3 buck Thursdays....but when Chili's right down the street has happy hour from 2pm to 8pm I really don't see the point. Overpriced happy hour food and inattentive service at the bar? Grab some beer at Dietle's and taco bell instead. ps. This was tough for me to write as most of my reviews are positive and 4 stars. I believe that if you have a bad restaurant experience you should tell a manager so they can try to correct it. Trust me, they want you to leave happy.

To start off the food here was beyond terrible. The good news is the people running the bar don't know how to measure the alcohol there pouring into the drinks. So we ordered just a few drinks that should only have about one shot each but ended up having about 4 to 5 shots worth. This is the only reason that I can give this place three stars. If you're looking for a good meal this would not be location you're looking for. But if you're looking to get really drunk for very little cash then this may be the spot lol.

Had not been here in years! Glad I decided to go back and try it again. Honestly, I was not expecting for the best food but I tried the jack Daniels ribeye and it was amazing! The waiter was so helpful in finding me the perfect tasting beer to go with my steak! Overall great service

Terrible customer service.. We have been sitting here in the back corner in the heat for 20+ minutes waiting on someone to say hello and take our drink orders. There have been two waiters coming to help the people right next to us but not one person has come to see us. I am extremely upset and disappointed with the service this far. 0 STARS FOR THIS LOCATION.

This restaurant used to be a lot better. With that said, I came in with my bf and we were seated pretty quickly. And the experience went downhill from there. The waiter came and took our drink orders and brought them to us as we were looking over the menu and asked if we were ready and no we weren't so we asked for a few more minutes. Okay cool, he said no prob and walked away... And then came back within a minute and asked if we were ready. Same answer, walked away again. Then came back two more times before we were ready again within a super short amount of time. I mean, the restaurant wasn't busy so why are you rushing us? And how are people supposed to know what they want within like five minutes of being seated? When we knew what we wanted the guy was nowhere to be found. -_____- He eventually came back, took our orders and it came out within a good amount of time. But the food really wasn't great at all. Not bad, but not good either. I ended up not finishing my plate, my boyfriend seemed to like his burger but that's hard to mess up. As we looked for the waiter to ask for our check, he was again nowhere to be found but then walked by twice without so much of a glance towards my boyfriend (who's very tall so you can't miss his gestures) or me. At this point I just wanted to get the hell outta there. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day or what not but I wasn't happy. Okay Fridays, either step your game up or vamoose!

Well I guess I'm one of those people to write bad stuff about this place , well let me start . So It would be nice if they hired someone who would actually know what they are doing. So there is a manager name Amanda who doesn't even know the policy of the place she works at ? Well it's ok corporate knows it so. Basically I been coming here for past 3 years never had a problem with servers but one sunny lunch day I came in to grab lunch and beer , and wasn't served because of the type of ID I have wasn't accepted . Hmmm how come it was accepted many time before ? Well duh lack of knowledge from the manager who should not even be one , just speaking as I am a manager in a food chain industry as well as other industries. Long story short , I have a green card which issued by homeland security and thst one day she said they do not take such iD , wrong. Corporate said they do, so anyways would be nice if they trained their employee little better and not have a job fair at high school, well hey at least train your employe proper, sorry for the misspells.

Our server was awesome. I sat in the bar area and had a peach long island ice tea. At first I was skeptical because it looked like a glass of water with a peach stream going through it, then the bartender let me know they use sprite instead of coke for this particular version. This drink was a mouthful of deliciousness. I ordered loaded fries to absorb the loaded drink.

What can I say.....it's a chain, they're all pretty much the same. I've been here a couple of times, and nothing really stands out as good or bad. Service is typically friendly and not too slow, the food is OK (I do really like the Sesame Jack chicken strips), and the drinks are pretty good. So if you want something reliable and don't want to take your chances on an unknown place, stop in.

I sat @ the bar & it smelled like pure sewer I cant eat in here , it smells so bad @ this bar , I'm about to leave & I just got here & only had one beer .. P.S. there are fruit flies everywhere these bartenders really need to do there job & clean up & who ever the manger is @ this friday's needs to get the drains checked here cause it smells really bad @ this bar as well as the tables on the outside of the bar were I'm seated now . This completely made me not eat here .

Went there with a party. There wer multiple waiters and waitresses, but service was slow and horrible. After telling the server what she put on my receipt wasn't what I ordered TWO times, she finally got my correct check. My first time here and it was a horrible experience. She did mention how difficult it was to seperate checks when theres a big party, but never really apologized. And that's why they get a 1 star from me. Food wasn't any special either.

Wow, I would give this place a 0 star. Went inside tgif and no one was ahead of us, the host was on the phone. She looked at me and didn't even say anything. So, I gave her some time to talk on the phone. Passed 10 min and still didn't even say a word to wait or so. Another host came and looked at us then walked away. Looked where he was going, just went to a table and sat there looking at his phone. Finally the host on the phone hung up and helped us to a table. Didn't even say hi, sorry, or anything. Just took us to our table and left. I just let that slide. Once we were at our table, there were about 5 waiters/waitresses doing nothing but sitting at a table using their phone in the back where we were sat. Waited there for 20 min!! Didn't even get one service, no water, nothing. Not even one service said wait or anything. Never had this type of experience before. I wouldn't recommend coming to this place again.

I love TGI Friday's! This location is not one I would ever go to again though. I went for my birthday and when they brought out of favorite (the sizzling chicken and shrimp) a cochroach crawled out of my mashed potatos. :( The manager offered me a free meal which I did appretiate but I was not able to eat anything after seeing that. I have been back once for drinks but that is as far as I will go.

I ordered the salmon with a lobster topped sauce. It came out being a crawfish instead with no sign of lobster. I told the waitress what it was and she told me the manager was going to come out and speak with me directly about it. When he came out he told me that he was from the south and that it was lobster which was a total lie. I told him that he was lying. And then when the waitress came back she even told me the cook said that it was what they were using and he was unsure what it was. This has got to be illegal, advertising something that it isn't. I would have excepted an excuse like that they ran out and were using crawfish instead. I am not one of those usual complainers. I am going to be following up with the tgifriday headquarters. I can't believe the manager just came out and lied straight to my face. Unbelievable!

I come here a lot and I plan on continuing to come here. The servers tend to be very friendly and attentive. They constantly refill drinks and address any needs frequently. The food takes a while to come out but it's a nice environment and the TV's around the restaurant keep me occupied. I always get the Jack Daniel's burger because I think it's awesome, but another thing to try is the Jack Daniel's Sampler if you're a fan of ribs since the taste is mouthwatering.

I came here last Thursday to get a snack while taking a break from Reading at the nearby Barnes and Noble. I ordered the Key West Shrimp, which consists of two skewers of marinated (but it still was a bit bland) shrimp and a side of steamed broccoli. The meal was tasty enough, but more importantly fit within the parameters of my diet (something along the lines of a paleolithic diet). The service was pretty decent as well; I sat at the bar and the food arrived within ten to fifteen minutes. The place was packed even on a Thursday Night, so I'd come here for lunch if I'm coming with company and anyone in my party is not in mood to wait in line to be seated.

TGI Friday's is mediocre no matter which way you cut it. We knew that going into this dinner. But, my brother was in town for one night and staying down the street so we came from VA to meet him (big mistake, Maryland, as far as states go, is mediocre itself) for a quick dinner. There were 6 of us ... myself and my husband, my sister and her friend, and my brother and his coworker. Everything was fine aside from the fact that they were out of pretty much every on-tap beer (literally, we requested 3-4 and somehow, they had "just run out in the last few minutes," yet it was a Sunday night around 9pm, and there weren't that many people there ... but, I digress). We ordered, got our food ... my brother's coworker finally settled on Mich Ultra, because they were out of a bunch of bottled beer too (seriously!?), and it only took about 20 minutes to get each of his two beers. When it came time to pay our bill, I told the waitress one check was fine, we could split it (as my husband and I were together, my sister and her friend split something but were paying separately, and my brother was paying for his coworker). She insisted on splitting it for us, and came back with 6 checks. No big deal, I gave her my credit card wrapped in both my husband's check and mine. When the checks came, everyones appeared to be correct, we signed and left. Well, today, it looks like that waitress didn't charge me for hubby's meal, and wound up closing it out on my sister's credit card (sister is a broke college student who works hard for her money) ... AND she tipped herself MORE than I tipped her. So, essentially, at the end of the night, she decided she wanted to make more money and tipped herself and extra almost $4. So, my sister, in essence, paid for her meal and my husbands, and tipped this idiot waitress double. She's disputing the charge with her bank and we've both called the restaurant and spoken to the manager, Amanda (who was very nice and helpful), and she's looking into it. Either way. Even if this WAS a mistake and she did accidentally close out the wrong check on the wrong card, the waitress tipped herself and I'm sorry, but that's shady, dishonest, and frankly ILLEGAL. We've been assured that it'll be taken care of, sister will get her money back, and the waitress will be "handled." But, for what it's worth, stay far away from this place.

The most amazing ribs you will ever have! My mind was completely blown the first time I went here last week that I had to come back again for my anniversary. This is probably the first time I've had ribs literally fall off the bone, and I have never had the opportunity to eat ribs with a fork hah! Seeing as ribs are my favorite food, this restaurant is now a staple in my life! Everything they serve is superb, the cole slaw is delicious and their fries are golden and godly. The service is a bit slow, even on a so-so busy Wednesday night, but not a big deal as the waiters/waitresses are very nice and will come by every so often to ask how you are doing or for refills. Definitely check this place out!!

I visited this T.G.I Fridays on a Saturday afternoon with my Bestfriend who I had not seen in months. Our visit lasted for about 5 hours but we enjoyed every hour we spent there. Our server was Bobby and he provided outstanding service. He was very attentive, friendly and he knew his products. Our food was delivered promptly and was cooked perfectly. I was also impress to see that the service manager Kevin took time visit each table to insure their dining experience was going well. Kevin also recommended that we try their delicious caramel salted cake dessert. This dessert was beyond delicious. I would highly recommend anyone to check out this location you cant go wrong with friendly staff and well cooked food. I will most definitely visiting again soon.

My girlfriend and I go here once in a while. It's definitely better to sit at the bar than a table. Our favorite bartender is Amina. Try to sit with her if you can. She is always polite and does a great job. Food is what you'd expect but the service and close location keeps us coming back

Despite having an abundance of staff at their disposal, service moved at a snails pace. The young servers and runners were often seen loafing around the drink station enjoying eachother's company, instead of attending to guests. The descriptions of the dishes were sometimes incomplete, and the staff isn't as knowledgable as they should be. Despite the half price appetizer deal on the menu, the receipt did not reflect the deal and we almost didn't catch their almost 10$ mistake. I likely would not return here again, and definitely not recommend it to friends. Bring back the old Fridays, it was vastly superior to this iteration.

I made the biggest mistake tonight and forgot my work phone on my table when I left this restaurant! the table had not been bust yet when I left. I made it home and called my work phone while I was looking for it. and it rang because the phone it at full energy! so i decided to call the restaurant and inquire about the phone and they said they didn't have it. As soon as i got off the phone with Fridays, I called the work phone again and OMG, it has been turned off!!!! obviously by someone who has been made aware that I'm looking for my phone and I know its still in the restaurant. So i go to the restaurant and everyone seemed concerned, the manager was very nice, the funny thing is that the one person who i assumed would have asked me if i was ok or checked on me would have been my server but no, she never spoke, at all. even though she walked pass me 3 times! she never said a word! how strange is that!!!!!!!! So my point is, dont ever leave your phone behind and assume that people are as kindhearted and thoughtful as you are because they are not. yes it was my mistake and i will never forget it! luckley the phone is insured and i am getting a replacement but thats not the point! Oh and good luck using my fingerprint to use the phone! P.S. the food was great!

I know it's a large chain, so take every experience with a grain of salt. Even having very low expectations, they still managed to surprise me with how terrible they are. Because we had read the reviews about this location, we did not go until recently. One evening, we just wanted drinks and dessert. We heard if we sit at the bar the service was much better, so we did follow that advice. Let me just preface this, with whoever is in charge of writing the menu descriptions at corporate headquarters, wherever they are, is the only one doing their job right apparently. This is what we read online (viewed on our phones so images did not load. you know, flash...) "Oreo® Madness Cookies and Cream ice cream sandwiched between layers of Oreo® cookie crust with caramel and fudge." Okay, that sounds pretty good. Here's how our experience went down: Sunday afternoon, and while a football game was on, it was neither Redskins nor Ravens, therefore, really wasn't that busy. And there were 3 bartenders. We were there 10 minutes before being acknowledged. We asked what the drink specials were, the only thing we were told was $3 Budweiser/Bud Light. My boyfriend settled for Bud light and I just ordered bottled beer. But then we read the specials menu, and sure enough, there were rail drink and cocktail specials they did not tell us about, that were still going on for 2+ more hours. We ordered our desserts. And my boyfriend's "Oreo Madness" came out, and it was simply a Klondike Oreo Ice Cream sandwich, with some hershey's syrup drizzled on the plate. The same exact ice cream sandwiches that you can buy by the 6 pack for $2.50 at the grocery store. So much for "layers of cookie crust with caramel and fudge" because there was not even a hint of caramel anywhere on the plate. Lesson learned won't do that again. Despite this, we decided to stay for another drink or two. THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST PART Of the THREE bartenders working, every single one of them was completely IGNORING us. As soon as we would make eye contact with them, they instantly turned around and walked the other direction. All of them did this at least 5 times. Then, when we ordered the rail drinks that were on special, they rolled their eyes and acted like it was the biggest inconvenience in the world for them to make them. It was 15 minutes before we got our second drinks. Then it took 20 minutes and more than 5 more times of getting ignored after making eye contact, that we could get our check. I'm even surprised my boyfriend left a tip, because the service was so terrible, if I were the one that picked up the tab, they would have gotten a big fat ZERO. I will never go to another TGI Fridays in my life.

I'm giving this place 2 stars as we were seated fairly quickly at 9PM. Our waitress took forever to come -- we waited nearly 10 minutes for her to show up, and her service was lackluster at best. I ordered the half ribs/shrimp combo - she never asked me what sides I wanted. The shrimp was way too salty and the ribs were great. Beverage service sucked - we had to wait 10 minutes for a refill, even though she kept passing our table. I have never been a real fan of TGIF's and continued mediocre experiences will not make me return anytime soon. Save your money for a rainy day and go somewhere else. Not worth it.

Came here with the boyfriend on a Sunday night (which happened to be game night, so we ordered from the Game Night Menu - appetizer and entree for $15). I was surprised that our dishes were so flavorful. I can't recall the names of the dishes, sorry :( . We had an flatbread appetizer and a chips and dip appetizer. The flatbread was pretty good, IMHO. My entree was a pasta dish with cracked peppercorn and chicken. The chicken was a bit dry, but I wasn't really expecting too much anyway. I can't really recall my boyfriend's meal, but he seemed to like it a lot. The service was pretty good. Our waitress was really attentive, but treated us as if we're regulars which was a nice homey feel. I also ordered a Peach Margarita and it was pretty strong, which definitely isn't a bad thing! So thanks for that one. Overall, it's not too shabby.

Bland food, average service and dirty restaurant. You get what you pay for, very cheap bland food. Been here for dinner a few times as it is right near where I live and I have never left here feeling satisfied. The tables and silver wear are always dirty or sticky, always loud and poor service. Go to the Silver Diner next door over this.

This last visit actually pissed me off as it's a moment, a memory that can never be had back. Scenario: My son turned 7 and wanted to TGI Fridays to celebrate his birthday with family because he loves the birthday song and dance they do. Understood, it's a packed Saturday night, lot of people waiting for tables, lot of orders being prepared in the back, etc. The food in itself was pretty good (go with triple play), but what pissed me off is the lack of common sense by people. As OUR server, KNOWING it's this boy's birthday... How do you start the birthday song and ice cream delivery SEEING that: 1. Birthday boy is still eating his dinner! NOT READY for desert yet. 2. Not everyone was at the table OR done with THEIR dinner!! COMMON SENSE!!!!!!!! HELLO?!?!?! THEN!!! OMG, THEN just drop the check on us... Were you rushing us because you had people waiting?? WTF?! You serious?! This visit pissed me off, and as i'm revising my review, i'm getting me even more pissed off remembering that night!!

I'm not sure why this place gets anything less than 4-5 stars. Wife and I dined there November 9. We decided to go here based on all the advertising on TV about their 2 for $20 special. (2 appetizers + 2 entrées for $20) It did NOT disappoint! Ok, so it's a bit noisy on a Saturday night with all the people at the bar watching the College games on TV, but the food is fantastic! Service was very prompt despite the place being busy. The best part....with 15% tip the bill came to $31.00

This place stanks! How much does it stank? Like a boss. I ordered the sirloin steak with fries and roasted veggies. The steak was cooked a whole lot on one side and a whole lot less on the other side. The meat itself was okay and could've used a little more seasoning. The funny thing about this entree was that the sides filled up most of the dish making the steak look like a side. At the end of the meal, my friend's $15 meal turns into a $30 meal. It turns out his salmon wasn't included in their combo meal and the waiter either didn't notice or bother to say anything when he ordered. I tasted his salmon and it wasn't even worth the $15. After we pay, we get back our paper change minus our coin change. If they asked, I wouldn't really care if they kept the coin change, but the presumption that we wouldn't care irritated me. I'll never come back to TGIF for their overpriced microwaved food or apathetic, incompetent service.

The food is great, but I'm not very with the service. Maybe because they were too busy. The Jack Daniels ribs is awesome, as well as the steak.

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
