So far so good. Tried this place out for the first time this past weekend. It is owned by the same folks that own The Big Greek Cafe next door. There is room for about 20 people to sit and eat, but it is not waiter service. While we only had a few items off of the menu, they were all good enough that we will definitely be back. We had the Reuben, the grilled chicken breast sandwich, and the chicken fingers (for a kid). My wife (who doesn't even like Reuben's) liked her bite of my Reuben so much that she and I ended up splitting our sandwiches. The sandwiches were good sized, made fresh and the prices were perfect. Like I said, we will definitely be back. I'd love to say that I will try different items but that Reuben might have been too good to pass up.

A nice new deli. Have had the reuben here on 3 separate trips and the quality is consistent. The sammy is tasty. They use a nice thick cut of rye so that the bread does not get all soggy and turn to mush. Same owners as Big Greek Cafe next door.

I've been a few times and since I always get a Reuben if o it's on the menu i it's the u only thing I've tried at tellys. That being said, the Reuben is delicious. Cooked perfectly with thinly sliced corned beef, it just falls apart in your mouth. The fries are good although it is hard to mess up fries. I read another review that said they changed ownership but that would surprise me since it literally just opened. Hopefully the quality stays the same.

We tried 3 great sandwiches, the reuben and the triple double (one of those great deli all in one crazy sandwiches) and the fish sandwich. Added some homemade chips, onion rings snd pickles and you got deli like I haven't had since NYC! AND they have the imported Coke and Sprite in bottles without corn syrup!!! A welcome new quality deli addition...

I've never eaten at Telly's and never will. They littered my neighborhood with their fliers, one of which caused damage to my vehicle when it was plastered onto the windshield of my car. I called the restaurant to complain, and was greeted by the most unprofessional and rude individual ever. They have no respect for personal property, the environment, and most certainly any potential customers. I'll be filing a nuisance complaint with the local PD.

I was very happy with them on my first visit, but I've had an opposite experience this time. It starts with not getting my order right. Two different sandwiches I ordered didn't come as I had requested, and sadly, I didn't know it until I got home. And I know the order was taken right and conveyed right, as I heard the order go back, and the guy taking the order (the owner's father) checked SEVERAL times on the order giving the details each time. I'm not sure how the line cook made the mistakes. Beyond the errors in our order, the Philly cheesesteak was just average, the sweet potato fries were VERY soggy, and they were offering Buffalo wings tonight, which also were soggy. To their credit, I called them to let them know about the mistakes in the order, and how disappointing the other items were and he said he would take care of me next time I came in. I will absolutely go back to give them another shot.

The staff at this brand new family-owned and family-operated neighborhood restaurant goes out of its way to make certain that every customer is treated like an honored guest. The owners have been in the restaurant business for many years and they know how to prepare delicious food. Every entree and sandwich they serve is homemade to their highest standards. You will never have a better bowl of matzoh ball soup or a better brisket sandwich at any Washington-area restaurant. We keep going back to sample more items on their menu, and everything--from their hot pastrami sandwich to their Reuben to their tuna melt to their homemade meatloaf, potato chips, brownies, and oatmeal cookies--is the absolute best we have had in any local deli or diner. Once you have tried their matzoh ball soup you will be counting the days until you go back for another bowl.

Delicious food, very informal, relaxed atmosphere, freshest ingredients, rapid service, reasonable prices. We've been there twice. The first time my wife had a Reuben and pronounced it among the 'best she'd ever had.' We both had their HUGE burgers on another visit and thought they were great. The sweet potato fries were also excellent. If you want excellent quality deli food, give this place a try.

I got the Reuben and enjoyed it. Service was fast since they weren't busy. They didn't nickel and dime me when I was short a few cents as well. Clean bathrooms. The place has an identity crisis. They say they're a Deli but they also offer items that you expect at a sit down Latin restaurant.

As predicted, all iterations of this restaurant are CLOSED. Went down hill after the BGC owners sold it and the subsequent owner didn't know what do do with the place (deli, latin food, breakfast). I'm also thinking that this location is the kiss of death as it has now housed 4 different restaurants and none of them survived.

A lot has changed with this place. When they first opened, things were great. I'm assuming however in recent months they've changed management and everything else seems to have been lost with that change, namely the quality of the food. My husband and I just ordered from there and had a bad experience. Both orders were wrong, but he was upset enough to take his back. He ordered what was called the chicken platter and it seemed far from it (see picture). Not much chicken on the platter and the mashed potatoes were very dark in color, like they had gone bad. When my husband returned, he was first told that he wasn't charged full price for the meal after she saw how small it was. We also never received a receipt and were told that the printer didn't work. So after going back were told something different about the amount charged. She finally refunded full price after my husband threatened to call the police. Certainly won't ever be returning.

Telly's Deli is indeed under new ownership. Apparently the original owners, who also own The Big Greek Cafe, received an offer they couldn't refuse. The menu has changed - some of Telly's original offerings are gone and there is a new Peruvian food section. We ordered the Telly's Tuna Melt with onion rings and the Crispy Chicken Salad. Both were very good - as good as they were under previous management. The new Telly's offers delivery now.

My wife and I had lunch here under the new management and we weren't disappointed. We ordered the Peruvian chicken rotisserie, which was incredibly flavorful, along with fresh plantains and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were slightly on the soggy side. We also tried the Ceviche de pascado which had a burst of flavor and was quite refreshing to the palette. I haven't tried anything from the original Telly's menu under the new management, but the Peruvian menu has been impressive so far. Will be trying the Lomo Saltado next time.

Very good overall food & service... Everything was made to order and the ingredients were very fresh, will be back if in the area.
