A sandwhich shop that delivers? THE BEST!!! They deliver your sandwhich within 15 minutes after ordering. They have NEVER messed up my order and I'm never put on hold when ordering. Tastes fresher than Subway. This place is great!!!

Freaky fast!! It's better than subway. We order from this place often and they do not disappoint. Good sized portions, no b.s. Tip: order the pickle instead of chips for healthier alternative.

Fast, fast, fast!!! Thank you to John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich for making my life easier! I love to eat and I cannot think of a better invention than the sandwich...meat, meat and more meat (plus some other stuff like cheese and maybe some veggies) between 2 slices of carbohydrates so I can eat and drive. (Your Honor, I swear this is a joke and I always drive with both hands on the wheel). In all seriousness, a quick lunch eaten without utensils. Add a napkin and you're good to go. Jimmy John's touts their speediness as well as their fresh baked bread, real meats sliced in-house, Hellman's mayo and Grey Poupon (Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?). Ooops, don't forget their low, low prices! Their sandwiches start at $4 for a "slim" sandwich which is just meat and maybe cheese. The only thing free you can add are packets of mayo and/or mustard. For $5 that sandwich is now 8" with some lettuce and tomato and a whole boatload of freebies in addition like cucumbers, vinaigrette, onions, oregano and hot cherry peppers. A $6 club comes with all the freebies but only 2 slices of bread. If you want every single meat, cheese and freebie topping they offer all on one sandwich you order the J.J. Gargantuan for $8. We had the Totally tuna and Turkey Tom with all the fixin's and a bag of chips for a total of $12. I swear I walked in and walked out in less than 3 minutes. The best thing is they deliver so no need to eat and drive!

I ordered the Italian Night Club. Everything about this sub screamed 'fresh,' which is very much an advantage over Subway and most other competitors. I thought the sub was delicious with the hot peppers. With no Firehouse Subs in the area, this is my new go-to sub place.

A coworker recommend this place so I decided to give it a try after finding out that Jerry's is closed. Let me prefix this by saying, as a Native New Yorker, I am a little bit smug and/or bias when it comes to three particular types of food; pizza, chinese and heros. I was happy to see JJ's had a veggie option after checking out their menu however that was short lived. The "veggie" leaves a lot to be desired. My sandwich literally consisted of lettuce and tomatoes with cheese. Not cool. Needless to say I won't eat from here again. With so many vegetarians nowadays you'd think they'd find a more creative and appetizing option for us.

I just called this place to place a sandwich order. I am literally parked in front of the store can see the person taking my call. I can't get out of the car due to a sleeping infant. I asked the person if he could run a sandwich out the front door if I ordered one. He said no. He said he also didn't even have a delivery driver. Thanks?!?!?? A mother of twins who can't physically get out of the car due to sleeping infants and you can't run a sandwich out the front door of your store. Thanks for the crap customer service. No matter how good the food, simple customer service goes a long way.

I love JJs and this location is no exception. The beach club is my fave. Yummy bread and sandwiches taste fresh. It's in the new(ish) development across from the former White Flint mall so parking can be challenging. My only complaint is that I live .9 miles away and they won't deliver to my house which makes no sense to me. Please won't you please enlarge the delivery area???

Jimmy John's takes the cake over Subway/Blimpie any day. It is a little on the pricey side, but I guess in range with average cost of lunch these days. At $6 for just a sandwich alone, you can splurge a little with a side of chips, cookie OR big pickle-throw in the drink while you wait. I must say, delivery is amazingly fast its scary. They have the convenience of ordering & purchasing online. All you have to do when your lunch is delivered is sign the recipe & offer a tip. My favorite picks are turkey tom & beach club (same as turkey tom, but with avocado). These have to be the best sandwiches ever. Perks: freebie condiments(see menu) & $.49 day old bread. Doesn't sound good, but they sell the delicious bread from the day before for the low-low. You can make your own sandwiches or a fancy bread pudding:) Forget happy meals.....This is a happy meal at its finest! Enjoy

I've only tried the guargantuam and they are very easy with the meat they put in. It's a definite pickup and go place for a sub if you want something in a hurry.

I'm not sure I get why this place is popular? The bread is much better than Subway and the like. Beyond that, it is nothing special. Looking at the menu, I did not find anything particularly interesting. I tried the standard italian sub. It was OK. I'm not saying I would not go again--but so many review of Taylors reference how this is better and 1/2 the price and that is simply not the case. This is a straight ahead, Subway-like carryout and that is about it. Maybe the sandwiches are better than he subs? This is a carry out location--very small with only a few seats. Eating there would be weird--it would be you and the guy behind the counter. I guess I am still looking for the great sandwich shop in Bethesda. The search continues. (How can Fayetteville WV have a great sandwich place and we don't?)

Slowest Jimmy John's I've ever been to. Been here about 15 minutes and I'm still waiting for my sandwiches!

Jimmy John's is located in North Bethesda Market, sandwiched between what will soon be CVS and Starbucks. It's definitely a nice alternative to the current sit-down restaurants in the same Market (Seasons 52 and Brio) and WholeFoods. However, in terms of fast food sandwich shops, I still prefer Potbelly (and even Subway) over Jimmy John's. The restaurant is pretty small. In the time I was there, I noticed a couple tables and a mini counter where people can dine, so it's more of a grab and go type place. There were tons of workers there (I counted 12)! I'm not sure if it's because they just opened or what, but definitely waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many. I kind of felt overwhelmed at all the faces starring at me waiting for me to place my order. Service is quick, so I can't complain about that. The sticker on their subs were dead on (I was in and out in no more than 3 minutes), "Subs so fast you'll freak". I decided on the Vito (#5) with no onions and added hot peppers, which came out to $5.25 after tax. My 8" sub wasn't bad, kind of plain although it had so many ingredients. The French bread was light and fluffy. You could definitely tell it was homemade. The original genoa salami, capicola, and provolone were okay. Thinly sliced. I do wish they put a little bit more meat on it, though. I got two slices of each...eh. But, I guess I could have added extra meat for $1.50 more. I was happy that the Italian vinaigrette didn't completely drench my sandwich, but I actually could barely taste it which was a bummer. The hot peppers added a nice crunch to the sandwich and offered somewhat of a kick to it. Will I be back? Probably. Especially since it's right next to where I work and I love me some sandwiches....there's so many to try! They have 17 different sub and sandwich options. I love the fact that you can order a JJ Unwich, which is a sandwich or sub wrapped in lettuce. If you love meat and bread, order a plain slim. If you enjoy their bread, you can grab a loaf from yesterday for under $1. There chocolate cookie looked delicious as well.

Decided to try this place out based on a co-workers suggestion. It's not too far from my office and you can place your order online. Upon returning the office, it was discovered that there was an item missing from my order. No biggie, so i call the restaurant to ask for a refund on the missing items. Spoke to the manager, I believe, who was very nice and professional, and hilarious btw. He says someone will be bringing my missing items to me and next thing you know, ten minutes later here they are on my hands. Great customer service, delicious tuna sub, I give this place 4 stars for excellent customer service.

I'm a huge fan of Jimmy John's, which is why this location was such an enormous disappointment. There is very little seating, and yet despite that (and not seeming in much of a crunch), they still couldn't manage to keep the limited eating area clean. I went there with my five year old son and ordered his favorite, the veggie sub with just cheese and tomato, with cucumber on the side. The guy at the registered said nothing could come on the side. Huh?! I've ordered him that sandwich at multiple other locations, it's a topping that's included on the sandwich, but the little guy likes to pick off the cucumber slices and eat them on their own. I clarified that we weren't asking for any extra portion or anything, just the two or three little slices that normally come on the sub, so he doesn't have to pick through the sandwich. But no. I'll never go to the store again, and I hope JJ either shuts it down or puts it under new management, because anyone who has their first JJs experience there is likely to make it their last.

I only been the Jimmy John's one time and we had the Vito and the Gourmet Veggie Club. Both looked pretty good on the surface. The bread and roll looked fresh baked. After a few bites of the Vito I noticed a complete lack of taste. So I thought that maybe they forgot the dressing or the salami. After looking, everything was there and looked tasty, but when you actually eat the sub, it's just lacking. Where is the tangy Italian dressing flavor? Where is the salty/fatty/sinful salami and capicola? The veggie club was nice and fresh tasting, but was also pretty lacking in flavor. The bread was a highlight because it tasted like it was just baked. But this is not a bread shop, this is a gourmet sandwich shop. I was pleased with the freshness of the veggie ingredients. The BBQ chips were yummy and worth another star along with the fresh food. OK, so I have only been once, but my girlfriend and I both felt the same about everything. I doubt I will give Jimmy John's a second chance since it's just not in a good place to go back. The adjacent Whole Foods is much better and you have to pay for parking here. The prices are not bad, so I'm not expecting Little Italy in N. Bethesda, but honestly Subway is better than Jimmy John's. At least everything very tasted fresh. If anyone wants to recommend something that is actually tasty, I would be happy to try it.

I visit this JJ's a lot since I live close by. They definitely live up to their name in terms of speed. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for any of my sandwiches here, regardless of how many people are in front of me. My gripe about this store is that there is very limited seating. There are a couple of seats in an awkward corner by the soda machine if you want to eat by yourself and not make any eye contact or have social interaction with anyone else. They also have a couple of tables in the opposite corner (I want to say 2 or 3 tables? I'll update the exact number next time I go.) If I didn't live upstairs, I would just have to awkwardly stand and eat my sandwich most of the time since most of the spots are taken and I don't want to sit in the dunce corner. (Maybe once I find my old dunce cap from elementary school.) Their sandwiches are pretty good. I've tried the Gargantuan, Italian night club, and Hunter's club and all of them have been pretty tasty. Their sandwiches definitely taste fresh. Although I dislike how they don't give you an option to toast your sandwiches here. I definitely like my sandwiches toasted. If Quiznos and JJs were right next to each other, I'd almost always go to Quiznos unless I wanted to save some money or I have a strange craving for an untoasted sandwich. I also visit this place frequently for their 50 cent day old bread. They also sell fresh bread for $2. It's a pretty good deal if I want to make my own subs at home or make some awesome mozzarella cheesy bread. SUMMARY: Overall, for the price, quality, and speed that you get, this place definitely gets a passing rating minus a couple of points for lack of seating and toasting option.

I have to update my review after giving this place a fair shot... On my first visit I only had a BLT..which was hard to judge the restaurant quality from... I've been here two more times now and both times I've ordered the Beach Club. Absolutely DELICIOUS! I'm not usually a huge sub person, but this sandwich is great! It's served on their fresh french bread and it has turkey breast, provolone, avocado spread, sliced cucumber, lettuce, tomato and mayo....this time I also added bacon, which is a DELICIOUS combo! Every time I've been in here so far I have walked in and out of the door in LITERALLY (no exaggeration) 2 minutes! Amazing service..and the guys behind the counter are really helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make conversation. The ingredients are also great! Definitely better than subway....the bread is made fresh daily and the meat actually looks and tastes like REAL, quality cold cuts. Awesome little place to grab a sub for lunch! Jimmy John's has gained a star in my book for their service and quality of their products. =) I will be back!

good but not great sandwiches. I get the Italian with no mayo and add hot peppers. they are really fast and priced well. much better than subway. my only complaint is the loud music.

Do not go here. Customer service was very poor. The tables were messy, but there were no napkins to be found in the restaurant so we chose to go home. Once there, we were disappointed to find that neither of our sandwiches were made correctly (slathered in mayo!) and the fillings were extremely sparse. We took a picture to send to the corporate office then threw the items out and ate something else.

Like almost everyone else's comments, the location is a real bummer. I too am a die hard JJ's fan, the Club Tuna is my fav!! The bad experience starts when trying to find parking, there is some street parking, but hard to come by, so your left with the pay parking garage about a block away, and JJ's doesn't validate your stub. When you walk in, you're greeted pleasantly, but then realize how small the restaurant is...literally no more than 6 ppl can dine in at one time, at three separate two seater high tops. The layout is also odd...you order right up front, ok so far, but then you grab your sandwich in this corner where there's no room but for one person to stand and it quickly becomes a CF. At lunch today I had to say excuse me/pardon me about 50 times in order to wiggle my way up to the counter to get my sandwich. Will I be back, def, I need my Club Tuna....but definitely not as frequently as I had thought initially.

CRAPPY! I went to Jimmy John's for the first time and let me tell you PLEASE save your money and go to a local deli for a way better sandwich. First of all, there is nothing really fresh about their meat. It's DELI meat! Might as well go to your local supermarket and get a sandwich for half the price! Second, they charge extra for wheat bread!! What sandwich shop ever charges extra for wheat bread!! What a bummer! Third, lady on the counter was rude, so I just canceled my order. But guess what?! I checked my bank account, they still charged for the sandwich I never wanted and never got!! Poor management, mediocre sandwiches and thieves!!! Avoid this place!

I felt the need to review here based on what makes this location unique. The first thing I thought after walking in was how odd the set-up was. There are maybe four or six seats in the place, so you'll probably have to take it to go. Plus, unlike most JJs that have the register, then you move down the line as they quickly put your sandwich together, and then you collect your sandwich at the end and go on your merry way, here, the end of the line leaves you in a tiny corner, where you then have to awkwardly side step the others waiting to find your way back out. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed it this way. There seems to be plenty of room to orient things differently. Plus, the JJ slogan is "subs so fast you'll freak." That refers to their delivery, but you could say the same for their in-store service. I've gone to various JJs in my day, dozens of times at some locations. The one thing they've always shared is super fast service. In well over 100 (probably multiple 100s, not sure whether to be sad or proud of that), I've always been impressed with the speed. Here, the wait is interminable. I've been multiple times and was frustrated with my wait every time. With one or two people in front of me each time, my one sandwich has taken more than 10 minutes to make. That's crazy. Hopefully they'll speed up over time, but dang, I want my sandwich! I have no issues with the food. If you really don't know Jimmy yet, I'll just quote my review for the Bethesda location: "Like other JJ's I've been to, this one delivered. The price is great (if you just get the sandwich, you'll end up paying about $5), the options are a-plenty, and that bread is as fresh as you could ever hope for. My faves: (1) the Vito (a variety of Italian meats with lettuce, onion, tomato, an Italian vinaigrette, and provolone) (2) totally tuna (tuna salad with sprouts and cucumber) (3) the turkey tom (this is their "basic" sandwich, with turkey, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, and mayo) You can also get hot peppers added to any sandwich for free. For a small charge, I'd recommend adding avocado spread as well (as odd as it sounds, it's delicious with the tuna). If you come at the right time (before the smart shoppers have invaded), you can get day old bread for 49 cents. 49 freaking cents. And it's a big loaf. AND you would never know it was day old unless it was advertised that way. It's delicious alone and perfect for homemade sandwiches - you'll never be able to get your Wonderbread at Giant for those prices! "

It is really sad to say but I enjoyed the BBQ Mesquite chips a lot better than the sandwiches :/ I feel bad saying that but the food was mediocre. The title of the place promotes gourmet sandwiches and when I think of gourmet, I think, knock your socks off flavorful! That was not the case here. The menu was rather small and this was more of a fast food sandwich shop as the seating was very limited. I got the Vegetarian sandwich on wheat bread because nothing else seemed appealing. What caught my attention was the real avocado spread. Although, this sandwich wasn't uneatable, just not the best. My boyfriend had the italian sub on a roll and that was flavorless. He has a favorite italian sub sandwich at a different location so maybe his expectations are a little high. All in all ... I wouldnt come back unless I desperately need to eat a sandwich which will unlikely happen. I can knock out a better sandwich at home ... just saying!

Jimmy John's is one of my favorite places to eat! I always recommend this place to my family and friends...but not after I was treated like TRASH by the manager. Yesterday, i placed a delivery order for my wife on her day off. I called the number, gave them my address and noted that I was a 10 minute walk away from their location. "No problem", I was told by the gentleman who took my order. It was promptly delivered yesterday to my wife's full satisfaction! Happy wife, happy life! Today, it was my turn! I was excited to order. Having a day off when you own a restaurant is a rare thing and all you want to do is relax. I called up, they knew my address from my number I assumed...took my order and I went about my day of relaxing. 5 minutes later, I receive a phone call from the MANAGER stating that they DO NOT deliver to my location. I explained what transpired yesterday and was still noted that again, "they do not deliver to my location" (keep in mind, I am within a mile. If you cut down the tree line, I could see the place from my house!). At no time was the so-called manager willing to make things right for me, and as a matter of fact, he noted that he was "MANAGING" all day yesterday and was not sure how "I got a delivery" since he "watched all of the deliveries yesterday"...great, so not only is he rude and acting like this situation was my fault...he's incompetent! In either case, he was not concerned about making me the customer happy and was not concerned about making the situation right for me. As a restaurant owner, I am shocked. To handle a situation in the manner in which it was handled was unacceptable and you can better believe that I will no longer go to this establishment.

First time going to this JImmy Johns location, but not my first time eating at JJ's. I was disappointed with my visit here. Love their Turkey Tom because of the sprouts, which give the sandwich that special taste that gives me cravings for JJ's sometimes. Not only did they forget to put sprouts on my sandwich, they didn't even bother asking me what toppings I wanted on it. When I asked them to go light on the mayo, they didn't even acknowledge my request and still slathered on a lot. Plus, the bread was cold. How disappointing.

so my friends went here tonight to grab dinner since it was close to them and they've been wanting to try this place out. they brought me back the Turkey Night sub to try and i must say, this was not the best sub i have ever tasted. the meat was salty, it was on a regular bun and had no flavor. i would have been better off going to either subways or quiznos for a better sauce. will not be coming back here

never been to a jimmy johns before but was in serious need of something to eat at 8 PM on a Saturday night so decided to stop here. I agree with others that parking around here is THE WORST. Finally find a nice illegal spot in front, run in, look at the menu, decide on my order...and the girl tells me (after standing there looking at me for 5 minutes while I decided) that they have no bread. "Well, we have 1 end of wheat bread"...uhh no thanks? why bother staying open if you have no bread?? I guess I'm meant to never try JJ's
