I love Ben and Jerry's! We ordered several custom cakes from this location and they have been great every time. Staff is nice and friendly, service is good, and the ice cream...well it's amazing...it's Ben and Jerry's! Never had a long line here. Parking can be tough sometimes especially since they just turned the parking lot in front into a ginormous condo place! Prices are high but consistent with Ben and Jerry's quality ice cream...worth it I my opinion. Much better than those do it yourself fro-yo places and costs about the same. Love Ben and Jerry's!

Had a coupon for a free single scoop in a cup or cone - had it for a year almost and I waited until the day it expired to use it. Was it worth the wait...not really. I have had Ben & Jerry's ice cream before, but in the grocery. This was my first time getting it in an ice cream shop. On this visit, I had Cherry Garcia (one of my favorite flavors) on a sugar cone which was already covered with sprinkles and chocolate. One scoop was given and it was a big one. As I ate my ice cream, instantly I felt it tasted much different than the Cherry Garcia I usually have at the grocery. It looked different and it tasted different, but I was not going to let my free coupon go to waste, so I ate it. When I got down to eating the cone, it almost tasted stale, like it had been sitting there for a while. That I did throw out. I will try them again once more, but with a different flavor and maybe no cone and see what happens then.

I contacted Ben and Jerry's regarding my experience. I received very speedy replies from both the location and the corporate offices. Based on details in the response I received, I am confident that the store manager has taken steps to remedy the situation. So I am updating my review accordingly. Thanks to Ben and Jerry's for your prompt action.

This is a great location. You really can't go wrong with Ben and Jerrys anywhere. The staff is young and friendly but sometimes disorganized on a busy day. We went in recently and ordered the Vermonster on a slow day which the staff wasn't very prepared to make or thrilled about us ordering. Regardless, you can't beat the location or the taste. This is also a location that does the mashup where you can create your own soft serve flavor. Very cool! Four stars!

Just your typical Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop. Nothing fancy, but not bad. The case that was made to display ice cream cakes was completely empty and looked somewhat dirty. Service, was sub par...as in a few teenagers at the shop working for minimum and don't really understand the service industry yet. That being said they did not approach and ask can I help you, but rather I had to ask about different flavors and sizes etc. Not saying it was bad service, because they were not rude at all, just not completely comfortable there. The ice cream was good and the employee did offer me a taste before I decided on my flavor. I was given a rather large scoop for a small. Nothing fancy and with all the homemade ice cream shops around I probably, won't be going back.

I don't understand why Yelp is down on this particular B&J's. The location is convenient, moreso than the defunct one out in Goshen I used to visit. Next to the movie theater and near the Metro and all the Rockville Town Center stuff and the courts. I've always gotten quick service here. They are one of the few national chains who is socially responsible and keeps up the quality. And of course, they have the same stuff that every other Ben and Jerry's has. Which is to say, indulgent deliciousness. What's not to like?

Yes, we have them...We have your Schweddy Balls! Fumbling around in my post Saturday Night Live stupor after reliving one of the best performances by Alec Baldwin on the show...I realized that I was in deep need for rum coated malted balls to fill my pie hole as no other desert ever could. I needed Schweddy Balls I went to my locally nationalized chain of supermarkets only to be let down...time and time again by merchants who fearful of the parent brigade of America warning us that comedy and ice cream of this nature is harmful to the youth of America while their mom's tote their youngsters in tiaras and beauty contests desparately trying to recapture a youth that botox and elective plastic surgery could not do. After fumbling around, I realized that I haven't visited my local Ben & Jerrys, for they, of all food merchants should have this deliciously comical ode to ice cream (For God's sake, they put it out in the market). Salvation was at hand. I entered and proclaimed the now immortal question, "Do you have Schweddy Balls?" And jubilantly, the young clerk replied, "Yes Sir, We have your Schweddy Balls!" and then to my utter delight he added, "I have been here all day and I can assure you Sir, that my Schweddy Balls are ripe for the tasting!" To which he finalized my love for Ben & Jerry's by asking, "Would you like a sample of my Schweddy Balls?' "You kind, kind sir, had me at Schweddy balls" With a taste that beckoned of love tales like that of Romeo & Juliet, William & Kate, Ren & Stimpy....that sweet crunch of the rum covered malted ball surrounded by creamy vanilla was the SNL/BNJ nirvana that I sooo needed. Let me just get a napkin to clean up. So, when Ben & Jerry's comes up with a flavor that silly merchants won't carry, don't hesitate and go to their shop...it's much easier and way more fun.

This review is based on the current Living Social promotion. Unfortunately, I failed to read the FINE PRINT and had to purchase $20 worth of icecream in one visit! I only wanted a waffle cone sunday, instead I left with that and 3 pints of icecream. I was looking forward to returning a couple times to try other items on menu like the salted caramel shake. I automatically thought this promotion worked like similar promotions for other businesses where they issue a gift card or something similar for the promotional value that can be used for multiple visits. I made sure to let staff know I was going to use a Living Social voucher before I placed my order. However, they seemed confused and disoriented. I definitely would've appreciated them telling me I had to use the entire amount of voucher in one single transaction before they redeemed voucher and before I placed order. The server rushed me in deciding what else I wanted and made sure to let me know she had other customers waiting. I left with way more B&J than I intended and paid $2 extra! Needless to say, I was not happy about this.

Mr. & Mrs. Sosin, owner's of the scoop shop in Rockville, are absolutely wonderful to work with. They catered the ice cream for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party. From start to finish they made sure everything was simple and in place to make the event memorable. There was plenty of ice cream for everyone and our guests really got a kick out of having Cherry Garcia, Fudge Brownie, Cookies and Cream, and Mango Sorbet along with the birthday cake. I loved the professionalism and friendliness of the team and would definitely recommend you have them cater your special event to make it a little more special.

I love Ben & Jerry. They've been there for me in the good and bad times. However, this time, Ben & Jerry let me down. When I ran into Ben & Jerry two weeks ago at Dupont Circle, they gave me a free cone with one scoop of Dulce Almond ice cream, and sent me own my way with a coupon for their happy hour special, $3 for 3 scoops, everyday from 4-7pm. The coupon lists all locations for the DC Metro area, so I'm thinking, "Ooooh, I can visit Ben & Jerry at their spot in Rockville for happy hour one day!" I rush over to the Rockville Center location and get there at 6:45, ready to get my $1/scoop ice cream binge on. I go up to the ice cream bar-tender and ask him for the special and he looks at me like I'm crazy. "We have no such happy hour here," he says. I reference the coupon Ben & Jerry Dupont Circle gave me but he says that Ben & Jerry's Rockville landlord does not offer happy hour. To make matters worse, they didn't even have the Dulce Almond flavor. Phooey. I ended up paying $3 for one scoop of Peanut Brittle ice cream. It was delicious and sweet, but I was salty that I didn't get my intended ice cream deal. Apparently, Ben & Jerry are just as inconsistent as the next man.

oh no... what have I done? I was being good all week. I went to the gym four times, did 25min cardio sessions each time, and then did my lifting and core routine. I was eating healthy; I had even just came from Giuseppi's next door and ordered a salad. A salad. But noooooo.... I just HAD to have a milkshake. Actually, that wasn't my original intention, I really wanted to go to Yogiberry, but I just didn't feel like driving down Rockville Pike. So here I am, inside Ben and Jerry's, trying to figure out which two ice creams I want mashed together in all their shaketastic glory. I decided to go with Cinnamon Buns and Triple Caramel Chunk. I really shouldnt have done that. My stomach still hurts.... but truth be told.... it was worth it. 30min of cardio today + circuit training.

Absolutely great ice cream. But unless you prefer a cone, I recommend getting a pint since you get more ice cream at about the same price as a scoop. I wasn't impressed with the ice cream cake that I bought. Yeah, the ice cream was good, but they advertise it having a sort of brownie/cake in with the layers and mine didn't have that - pure ice cream and sickly sweet frosting. The frosting they used to personalize the cake looked black (for a birthday?) but turned out to be chocolate flavored icing - but still looked black.
