Their meat sauce pizza with extra cheese is delicious. I absolutely love their pizza. The only other thing I've had their are fries and they're just ok. PIZZA = DELICIOUS. The inside of that place is pretty run down looking, which is why I give it 4 stars, but we never eat-in :) They have baklava and a bunch of other random food choices. They also have beer and liquor for pretty cheap prices. The pizza is the bomb. bottom line

The other night I was craving my weekly Maria's of Carney pizza, but they were closed due to power outage. Thinking this was another restaurant with the same owners, I ordered from them. Big mistake! Their pizza is an exact recreation of those dirt cheap pizza kits from the grocery store with the frozen, cardboard tasting, ringed circle of dough. The cheese is drab and watery and the sauce, which actually wasn't bad, was barely skimmed onto the whole thing. Very disappointing!

Another staple of Parkville! This is a great go-to for pizza, cheesesteaks, subs, burgers your typical carry out fare!! If you remember growing up eating a frozen pizza crust and pizza sauce out of a can and shredded mozz and some italian seasoning then this place will give you some GREAT nostalgia!! Living down the street from this place I frequented Maria's weekly. Now I just wish there were more places like this still around!!!

$6.45 for Burger King onion rings. Soggy delivery sandwich. Price gauging is abundant.

My cousin's family praised this pizza. I was NOT impressed @ all. It was too thick, cheese was gummy & lacked any flavor.

I'm a sucker for superlatives in restaurant advertising-best, biggest, most famous, etc.; I fall for it every time. You can't miss Maria's giant light-up sign that proclaims them as having the best cheesesteak. So I had a try. To be fair, this was an odd time of day on a Sunday--maybe they got slammed with customers. But approaching the counter and sizing up the atmosphere, I took in their sizable menu and noticed three guys behind the counter, joking around, but ready to take my order. The kitchen was dirty with grimy floors and walls, and the dining room was even dirtier. We initially intended on eating there, but smeared windows, dirty, caked condiment containers, crumbs and smears on the tables, seats and ground forced us to ask for our order to go. C'mon dudes-clean a little in your spare time! In terms of a cheesesteak, there's very little to screw up-let's face it. You heat up the chopped steak with the cheese and what ever other toppings the person wants and flip it in a fresh roll. Important note: You don't grill lettuce! Additionally, I like my cheese incorporated into the meat so that I'm not pulling out strings of it like some freaking Chuck E. Cheese experience. I hope to try them again in the future to see if things improve, but it will be a long time from now. Let me end by adding my own superlative for Maria's: Most average cheesesteak experience in Baltimore.

This place was sold recently by it's Greek owner. Sadly it has gone to hell. The son's owner and long time employees all have gone. I went yesterday for their cheesesteak special. Their prices had gone up and no one was there from the original Marias that I have been visiting for 35 years! I ordered the special cheesesteak fries and coke which had been 6.00 and now it was 7.99. There were three Teens running the place. And they were busy socializing with a friend visiting. I sat and waited about 15 minutes an no order. Then I asked and they had totally forgotten. No apology nothing! So I waited and then minutes later I got greasy fries and a soggy cheesesteak. In the past I loved the fries, crisp and hot. Now they were cold, greasy. I couldn't eat them. The cheesesteak was so so And I ate what I could and paid and left in utter shock and disgust. My long tome favorite for subs had gone to pot. I swear I will never return. And I only write this review because the food gave me a bad case if diarrhea. Those punks that run that place have no clue. Where is the new owner? It must be the parents. Really really bad place now and dirty with lousy food. Stay away.

Great all around sub shop. My family has been going here forever and never had anything bad. Try the cheesesteaks.

We've been going to Maria's for carry out for over 40 years and have always gotten good food for a reasonable price.

Good cheesesteaks. Good bowling alley style pizza when you're in the mood. Too bad they don't deliver.

When is it okay to write a review? Do you have to visit the establishment numerous times to find out that your first visit's experience was on the money?? That is my question...I've decided to answer it. First time is right for me. I've heard about this place for a year. "Great pizza" "Gotta try it!" and so tonight I had the opportunity to do just that. My response to this experience is simply this... YIKES! I liked the atmosphere. I did. It looks like a NY pizzeria, kind of plain and bad lighting. The dirty kitchen, floor....guys behind the counter on phones and laughing about something unrelated to work was new to me though. They had the option of soft-dough and regular. Basically the regular is factory made, cookie cutter crust that is a little thicker than a pita bread and honestly okay. The soft dough (which I heard was EXCELLENT!) is the one I ordered. I wish I could tell you what it was like but I can't. I ordered it, but didn't get it. As a matter of fact my boyfriend nor I got what we ordered. Our order was as follows: -- White Pizza (with soft dough) --1/2 Italian sub, no onion, no hots, no tomato...just mayo and lettuce. -- 12" pizza with pepperoni and anchovies We waited a 1/2 hour. The guy behind the counter told us that he was sorry but he messed up my white pizza. He made a regular pizza by mistake and had my white pizza in the oven. No big deal I told him and we waited. $30 later, our pizza was ready and we were off. Smelled great. Couldn't wait to get home and try it all. What we got: -- White pizza (like I'd never seen before, but it wasn't too bad. Not like Franks, but okay) cookie cutter crust (not soft-dough like I ordered...which kind of ticks me off because I STILL don't know what it is!!!) -- 1/2 Italian sub, with onions, with hots, no tomato, with mayo and lettuce -- 12" white pizza (yea, that was the one they 'forgot' to make) with pepperoni, broccoli, and anchovies We picked the onions off, scraped the hots and broccoli off the "regular" pepperoni and anchovy pizza and ate them. We were hungry. But it was hard to enjoy it knowing that we paid $30 for something we didn't order. : / I'm picky about my pizza and I'm picky about spending money on stuff I didn't order. You live and you learn. I don't need a second visit to know that I'd regret...well, going back. At least I can say I tried it now.

This is the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life, worst than my 3rd grade cafeteria school pizza!!!!! Disgusting and over priced, canned sauce, and frozen dough that was hard as a rock!!! The employees had dirt under their fingernails!! The cook was scratching his dandruff laden hair with white huge thick scaly scalp flakes fluttered down on the back of his t shirt!!!! Two of the other employees were high as hell and occasionally drifted off to sleep fully erect against a wall, only to be awoken in a daze of smoke and grease!!! Whoever owns and runs this place must be a dirt ball, who would let food go out of this pit with the looks of it! This is rat alley food, not even high enough quality to be even close to bowling alley fare!!!! AVOID!!!!! this place, if you DONT WANT TO BE ON THE TOLIET WITH A BAD CASE OF FIREHOLE!!!!! I simply wanted a few slices after one bite I immediatley asked for my $ back!! After himmin and hawing for eternity,, they relucatanly handed over the cash, the chic said "what do you expect..look at this dump!!""""

Their pizza is gross. I order a cheese pizza, and saw the dough coming out of the freezer. At this point, I was thinking to myself, "well, already paid, mind as well give it a world." Well, it was nasty, never again I would go there.

My pictures of the establishment have been removed. It shoes the disgusting bathroom and how filthy the place is. Yelp you are failing your reviewers and consumers by removing the pictures. You are covering up for that business!!!! Shame on you. The place is disgusting.
