Went here for lunch with the hubby after seeing the billboard of a great looking burger. We sat outside and ordered 2 burgers...I had the a bacon cheeseburger and my hubby had Marsh Mountain burger. Both were amazing as well as the fresh chips they were paired with. Our server Sarah was very attentive and sweet. The milkshakes were great but the desert trio was just okay. I'm very picky and the creme brûlée was ehhh. The best was probably the Nutella bread pudding. All in all great burgers, great milkshakes and ask for Sarah to be your waitress

Worst meal ever. My husband and I arrived at 7.30 and had a really nice table with a lake view. The waiter soon came to take our drink order. A pint of local beer and a glass of water took at least 15-20 mins to arrive. Then we odered food. My husband ordered Maryland crab soup and shepherds pie. I ordered spinach salad and fried chicken. Another 10-15 mins passed. No sign of soup or salad or even dinner rolls! Finally, the salad came. The soup followed 3-5 mins later. The salad was very good and the soup was delicious. However, 3 bites into soup and salad the main courses were on the table. The shepherds pie was just ok. Nothing to write home about. But the fried chicken was so salty, it was bitter. It was smothered with misterious red sauce that was even more salty. Unedible all around. I agreed to a substitute of chicken Paillard. It came within 10 mins. Soggy with oil, not crispy like the menu said. All the horrible experience made me wished I ordered a pizza instead. Not worth the money and definitely the time.

So after eating here twice last summer because it was so good, this year the entire experience was disappointing. Service was beyond slow -- took 30 minutes to bring out the kids' pasta with butter. The rolls for the table (with a $3 extra charge) were frozen in the middle. The rest of the food was ok at best, and took 45 minutes to get to the table. The entire wait staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off, and the manager was frequently having to help direct and or serve. I might give it one more chance, but overall, it went from a five-star experience in 2014 to a two-star in 2015.

Ok where to start, stood in line 5 min to get name on list with at least 10 tables open. We were called relatively fast. Watress arrived took drink order, came back 20 min later took our order. 20 min no food, waiterss states just a few more minutes, this went on for 45 minutes. We were gathering ours stuff to leave and mgt informed us the kitchen lost our ticket our food would be right out....sorry....your meals on us. About 15 min and it finally arrived. It was ok. Dinners were taken off but we'll never go back. From time we ordered until served over 1 1/2 hours.

We were in for the first time this evening, we will be back! I had a Beet and Goat cheese salad as an appetizer and the Shrimp & Scallop Sauté over pasta. Both were excellent

Ace's Run is named after the owner's favorite ski run at nearby Wisp Resort. It's located in the Will O' the Wisp, a place to stay in Deep Creek. We stopped by the other night. The first thing I noticed was the parking situation is bit complicated. The signs pointed to places I wasn't sure was parking (like parking here and boat entry here). We ended up parking further away. I don't mind walking at all (actually prefer to park far away to get extra exercise). However the other party with me didn't like walking in the rain. The dining area looks formal, but I'd say the dress is definitely casual, almost a classy casual. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, but it was a weeknight at the end of ski season. Our service, Justin, was great. He made the experience for us. Very knowledgable and was able to make us laugh. There are lots of options for everyone on the menu. We opted for calarmari as a starter. I had the wedge salad and the bbq burger. The calamari left something to be desired, as the breading didn't stay on at all and the dipping sauce wasn't too flavorful. The wedge salad was typical but had candied bacon, which was a nice twist on this classic salad. Finally, the burger was great! It's huge, but I was able to eat it all (barely). For Deep Creek, Ace's Run is a pretty good option for food. It is definitely above average for the area's dining options. I can't wait to go back and try other menu options.

This place did not impress me at all. We had to wait forever for a table (90 minute), which would have been ok since we had a large party and no reservation, but the bartender was not friendly at all and acted as if it was a chore to make us drinks. Granted the bar was packed, but even a little bit of personality would go a long way. The food is just so-so at best. I had a seafood pasta dish and it tasted pre-made. It is a shame that Deep Creek doesn't have better restaurants really.

We are staying at the Will O the Wisp and shied away from the attached restaurant - what a mistake! Immediately, I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and view from the restaurant. The service was great and the food delicious. It was late so we ordered appetizers - a wedge salad, mussels, fries & the homemade chips (at the suggestion of the server). Everything was great & the menu looked fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant of you are at Deep Creek!

We stopped in for lunch on a rainy Thursday and had almost the whole place to ourselves. Great view of the lake from inside and the friendly bartender was also our server. We ordered excellent mixed drinks off the menu (mojitos and Old Fashioneds) and had the mussels as a starter. My shrimp and grits was really good (though the grits were really large- almost like barley). Still super tasty and filling portions. The seafood pasta that my dining partner ordered was so much food that she ended up bringing home of 3/4 of it and enjoying it later. Our server was very attentive without being pushy and our drinks stayed full. While it was expensive for a lunch, we did order dinner entrees and call drinks and absolutely got our money's worth. I'd like to go back and try the burger menu- plenty of unique options there as well. We'll be back.

Ace's Run last night was nothing like the slope at The Wisp. A group of us went after a day of skiing. The ambiance was fine, service was okay, but the food could not have been slower. Over an hour and fifteen minutes for entrees to appear! We sat down at around 7:35 and were finally all served at 8:50. Call me crazy, but that's just too long for a place that isn't that big. The burger was excellent, but most definitely not worth the wait. Won't go back unless I have tons of time.

Love this place! First time trying it last night - Tom at the bar was great gave us history on the place. Had dinner at the bar - very yummy Caesar salad and sliders - my husband had the wedge salad - everything was delish - met Brenda one of the co-owners too - very gracious and gave us stir fry coupons so we will back!

As out-of-towners, we were looking for an upscale sports bar where we could enjoy a good meal, catch our team's game and be comfortable. Ace's was the answer!! Between our group of six, we had a great sampling of the menu. The crab pretzel appetizer was delicious, but the crab stuffed mushrooms were not as good - the mushrooms were mushy. The Maryland soup was scrumptious, and I followed that with a wedge salad. My husband had a fabulous burger with a fried egg and more (the name escapes me). We enjoyed some warm alcoholic drinks: the Snuggler and Winter Anna were great, and the desserts - Apple Crisp, Flourless Chocolate Cake, Rice Pudding were delicious. The service was awesome; we were well tended to. The view of the lake was gorgeous and the TV's were queued up to the right stations to catch the games we wanted to see. We sat in overstuffed chairs in front of the fireplace and TVs, and had a lot of room and options for comfort. Truly an enjoyable experience!

This is a newer addition to the Deep Creek area, but a welcome one! We came for lunch, but I'd love to go back for dinner (and other lunch things!) Love that the menu is marked for gluten free items. We started with the cornbread (stuffed) kielbasa muffins. Why have I never thought of this before? They're delicious. Get them. You'll fight over who gets to finish the last one for sure. I had the turkey burger over lettuce with salsa. Cooked and seasoned well. Our table also had the HUGE hot pastrami sandwich (more than enough for 2 people. Or a whole lot of leftovers!), Hickory Bacon BBQ burger, and Baked Mac n Cheese. Service was a little slow, but all the food was so good! We'll be back for more!

Ate here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon early September. The place was pretty empty, but that might be due to it being off season. It was a little more upscale and quiet then I thought it would be. We rolled in with 6 adults and 4 kids under 4. The hostess was our server (guess they were short staffed for even an empty restaurant). She was wonderful, though. Engaging towards the kiddos that could talk. And answered all questions with a smile even though you could tell she was a little flustered. I ordered the Seafood Lasagna Rolls. They were good. The shrimp and pasta was slightly over- cooked though. My companions said their pork chops and crab cakes burgers were delicious. The view was beautiful! You could see the lake and trees. I would love to come back for a romantic dinner (sans kids).

Pretty good. Nice view from the dining room. We ordered a crab pretzel for an appetizer. It was pretty tasty. It was my first crab pretzel so I am not an expert but we enjoyed it. My husband had a burger and liked it a lot. He topped it with crispy onions and thought there were too many onions but they were easy enough to pick off. The burger came with homemade chips which were very good. I had a salmon special and enjoyed my meal. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly and attentive. We would go back again.

Terrible experience. The restaurant wasn't busy when we walked in but it took us 10 minutes to be seated. After we were seated, it took another 20 minutes to get someone to get us drinks. Our waitress never came so the manager had to get our drinks, appetizer, and put in our dinner order. The onion dip appetizer was tasty. However, the overloaded crab burger and the skirt steak were awful. The bun was stale, the cheese was rubbery, and the crab dip was obviously imitation meat. I expected a lot more from a deep creek restaurant. I will not be going back. Also if you're not a regular, the service ignores you. Just a fair warning.

Took the family to Aces Run last night for dinner. Seven people who all had different things on the menu. The steaks, pasta, chicken, and salmon were all great. The Thai chicken bites appetizer were a big hit with all of us. Also, for those who like fried pickles, they were good too. The service was also very good. Overall a great experience. We ate here because we're trying to find new places around Deep Creek for dinner. I would say this place is just okay. The food is alright, not anything special. I didn't think the crab soup was up to par. The skirt steak was okay, i think the seasoning was too strong for such a good piece of meat but it wasn't bad. Our waitress, however, really made my experience awful. I'm 90% sure she was high on something, she would disappear for long periods of time and when we asked about our items that hadn't been brought out yet she gave a sort of dim smile and said "oh okay." Then went back to the kitchen for 5-10 mins and finally came back with whatever it was she had forgotten. Looking around the other waitresses seemed much more attentive to their tables, so I really think we just got the short straw.

We've been going to Ace's since it opened in May. The decor is first-rate, the view of Deep Creek Lake is beautiful, and the service is always attentive and friendly. We especially enjoy half-price burgers on Tuesday and pasta night on Wednesday. The burgers are the best in the area, and you can build your own. Pasta night is spectacular with three chefs working their magic, and you can construct your own perfect plate. The appetizers I've tried are delightful, particularly the fried pickles. They're not always efficient when they're being slammed. This will improve as all the servers gain experience in their new setting. This is also a very minor point. Great restaurant. If you ever visited the place in years past, you'll be amazed at the new decor and new menu. The food is spectacular. Try the pork bites-amazing. They also have great burgers and wraps and still have the pasta night carried forward from the old place. Save room for desert and try the apple cake or the Nutella bread pudding. For those of you that are familiar with the lake area, the chef at Ace's is the former chef from the old McClive's. It's nice to have another option while visiting the lake.

After the quality at Brenda's and knowing its the same owner was expecting a good meal. Unfortunately the food is awful. The salmon was dry and "fishy" tasting, the burger was dry and and tasted like the beef wasn't fresh. The veggies on the side of the salmon were undercooked broccoli and zucchini. The bread basket was soggy. We heard Brenda was in the kitchen which makes it even more disappointing. She should try some of the food the kitchen is sending out. We've eaten at Brenda's, Dutchs, Pizzeria UNO , mountain state brewery and ALL of those restaurants are 3 stars better than Aces. Beautiful restaurant with nice servers and a wonderful view. Unfortunately the food is the problem and we wouldn't ever go back. I gave it 2 stars cause of the sevice and appearance I was really disappointed and wanted to like this place

So-so at best. Ordered the buffalo chicken dip and fried pickles as our appetizer. And for our main course we all ordered burgers. Service wasn't very attentive. Drinks empty way too long, and even longer to get them refilled. The buffalo chicken dip was creative and tasted great. The fried pickles, well they tasted like all fried pickles do. The burgers on the other hand left much to be desired. They were all cooked to the wrong temperature, and one was made with the wrong toppings and cheese. And when we pointed out that the burger was incorrect, the server didn't care. We ended up eating it anyway, but come on, even Burger King will make it your way.

Came to Ace's Run for dinner after reading reviews on Yelp. This was a mistake. Service was poor and slow. Food was cafeteria quality and the atmosphere was lacking. We won't be back.

ate here 3 times, food is lousy. On our last visit, i had strip steak, it was burned to a crisp, they brought another steak out but it was raw! I will never go back!

Resturant had excellent views and a nice staff. Food was served cold and dried out. Very disappointing. Maybe lunch is better?
