Two stars for the large fresh Harp salad. The lunch menu crab fritters were greasy ground crab and filler. Not a crab lump in sight. We may return to give it another chance.

Service is slow. Food is outstanding. Few in Baltimore know of this Irish Seafood joint and many would find this an odd mixture, but, trust me, it works. I highly recommend the Shepherd's pie, the crab dip, and the Irish Stew. You would enjoy this place for dinner or brunch. Come on out to Perry Hall!

Decent atmosphere, very nice people, but the food left much to be desired. Tried three entrées, none of which were as described on the menu. Rockfish piece was small, overcooked, tasted like the proverbial rubber chicken. Tuna was an ample serving but overcooked and like tasteless shoe leather at on the edges and barely tolerable in the center. This was not simply "seared." The vegetable pasta was absolutely smothered in sauce. Garlic mashed potatoes were served cafeteria style scooped out of the pot and dumped on the plate. There is absolutely no finesse in the presentation. The Caesar salad was covered in Parmesan out of the "green can." How much more expensive is it to have shaved Parmesan and make things a little more classy? A huge disappointment since this was a neighborhood place we were trying for the first time, less than a mile from the house, and it is so hard to find quality food out here in the burbs. Guess we keep looking. Again, very nice staff who seem to be trying to do their best but they are hamstrung by a very mediocre kitchen.

Reservation computer was crashed, waitress was drunk, and our food took over an hour. Need I say more?

Love that it's a good spot to watch a game and grab a bite to eat. The happy hour menu is great. Love the crab dip (delish plus plenty to share and/or take home). Wings also very good. Overall good experience on multiple occasions.

Went during lunch hours. Was not crowded at all which was a great thing as I've been and could previously and was barely able toget a spot in bar area and it was wild and partially out of control. the service was fine, ordered the fish and chips for my daughter and it smelled awful! It had a very potent fish smell and honestly NOT kid friendly at all for being on a children's menu. People came in when we were nearly finished and didn't want to sit near us because of the smell. The waitress stopped her great service and it went done to mediocre after she served the food. I don't think the fish was bad , I tried it, I just don't know why it smelled so potent. I'm giving 2 stars due to previous times I've been in and not that great and this last time with the horrible fish experience.

Finally had a chance to visit this place after hearing about it from friends in the past thanks for an Open Mic night on Tuesday. (A friend of mine performed.) I really liked the feel of the place and my bar tender was excellent. I was thrilled to see they offer Kilkeney Irish Beer--one of the few places I've discovered in the area serving it. I spent most of my time in the bar area, which was very roomy with a lot of large screen TV's for the sports fan. I will definitely re-visit in the future and give their dinner menu a try.

Started off with Maryland crab and Ahi Tuna. For my main entrees, I had Irish Mac and cheese (which was fantastic). Overall, the food was good and the service was prompt. I would definitely come back here again.

Wow, great food and great atmosphere. I have been there a couple of times and have liked/loved everything I ordered. They have recently started a bunch of Specials and a half-price off appetizer for happy hour that give you a good chance to tryout what they have. Breakfast Burger, Shepard's Pie, and the Grilled Romaine Salad ( I add Blackened tuna - rare) are my favorites. The staff has always been warm and friendly, and seem to really care that I have a good food with good service.

They no longer offer the pork shank. Bad decision by management. It was their best entree item.

I go here on occasion but not a regular. The bar is OK, but the restaurant side is usually empty and not very interesting. The food is good. The bar service is excellent.

I had the strangest experience at this restaurant today. A friend and I went into the restaurant to eat for the first time. The hostess greeted us warmly. As we went to sit in the self-seating area near the bar, we passed a waitress. She had just turned away from a table she was serving in the area we were walking toward. Instead of greeting us or acknowledging our existence, she moved to the side so we could get by and said nothing. She looked at us with this look of absolute disdain. I was perplexed. She looked angry with US when all we did was walk in. OK. We went over and sat in a booth on the left side of the bar. The booth setup was nice. We could sit and face each other yet still see the games showing on the TV. Anyway, we passed a porter, who didn't greet us either. OK. Strike 2. We sat down and waited for a waitress to bring us menus. The waitress with the attitude walked by us twice, said nothing and did not acknowledge us. When this happens at a place where I'm about to eat, I usually just leave. I don't know what the problem is and I don't like playing games like that with people who are going to be handling my food. Anyway, this time we stayed. Instead of coming over to us, this waitress went over to a waiter who was standing behind the bar watching the game. She was saying something to him about us because he turned around and looked directly at us. I believe she was asking him to wait on us because she didn't want to. OK. Whatever she said, he refused and she stormed off to the back. The waiter behind the bar continued watching the game. A few minutes later, another waitress comes from where the first waitress went and walks over to us. She was very, very nice. She was quick, efficient and took good care of us. We made sure we tipped her well because she was good at her job and because we wanted the other waitress to know that we are good tippers. The food was mediocre . Truthfully, I might come back for brunch on a Sunday, but I wouldn't come back for a normal dinner. The food wasn't great and the attitude of that first waitress was not pleasant at all.

This had been one of my favorite restaurants but had a horrible experience trying to plan an event there. We tried reach the event person twice and left message and never got a return call. Finally we stopped in one night and talked to the manager Connor. Connor was very helpful and I was sold on the venue. Connor took my name and promised to have the events planner call me. She did call me the next day. Now we have been told the week before she was in M-F 11-3 which are inconvenient hours for those who work. I asked her to e-mail me their liquor packages to look over and told her the date we wanted. I also mentioned I was working from home on Tuesday and would most likely stop by at lunch. Not once did she say I won't be in on Tuesday. Tuesday at 11:30 I called and asked for her and was told she wasn't in. I explained my situation and the lady took my name and number and said she would try to get someone to come in to help me. Around 1:45 I had not heard anything so called back and asked for a manager. I was told there was no manager on duty until 4. I explained my situation and they got me Brandon who was the chef. He was helpful and apologetic and took my name and number and told me he would have the GM or assistant GM call me when they got in. Needless to say I never received that phone call. The next day I received a call from the event planner. I went through my story and I got a half apology and that was it. At that point it seemed obvious they did not want my business.

Met my mother and sister here for lunch....(good way to start St Patrick's Day week :). Harp on tap! YAY! The menu has lots of choices ( my mother seemed intrigued by the "All Day Irish Breakfast" though she didn't order it. My mother got a chicken sandwich and my sister got a burger. Both were huge. I almost got the corned beef sandwich, but in the end I went with MD Crab Flatbread. It was good. Service was a bit slow on the drink refills, but otherwise great. If I still lived in Perry Hall I would definitely be back soon!

I LOVE the harp! I have been there 3 times for the food ( can't drink right now because I am pregnant ) I adore the little crab fritters ! YUMM and the chicken dishes are sooo good! We like the service and will be coming back soon !

I don't understand how there could possibly be any low reviews on this place! Our first time experience was perfect from start to finish. The bar, with it's many offerings, was warm and accommodating; with friendly and attentive service the entire time we were there. The bar area is a fun sports environment with several TVs to watch the game. Moving into the dining area, I started off with the Crab Dip Pizza-- I cannot even describe how good it is. I almost always get Crab Dip-- but now this one took it up a notch--- and seriously it was just... amazing! For my entree, I had the Fish and Chips and it did not disappoint. The serving was huge, with flaky, perfectly done fish and more than enough chips to go along. My partner had Shepherd's Pie, and I was told it was among the best ever-- well, actually few words were said during the devouring, but I questioned post-consumption :) Quite frankly, I don't easily give 5 star reviews, but this is a great place-- with great food, excellent service, and ample room for groups and events. Yes, it's tucked behind a Wendy's in a strip mall-- but take it from me, go enjoy yourself. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable time with my partner, and we will certainly be coming back again.

The short of it: bad food, bad service, & an un appealing ambiance. I had a 10% off discount coupon for teachers for The Harp, so we went there last night for dinner. My boyfriend and I each ordered a drink, an entrée, and we ordered one salad to share. I asked to have fries instead of chips. 30 minutes later, our salad finally arrived. I ordered what I thought would be a healthy strawberry salad. However, the dressing was anything but healthy and it tasted like they mixed together some grape jelly with the cheapest mayonnaise they could find and slopped in a dish. It was awful!!!!!!! At this time, we had still not received our drinks!!!!!!!!! Then right after bringing out the salad, they brought out our entrees and set those down too, to get nice and cold while we tried to eat our salad. Even worse yet, there on my plate were chips- no fries! Long after we had finished our salad and begun our entrees, she finally brought out our drinks, which were mediocre. The chips that were supposed to be fries were burned and tasted like a salt lick. I had ordered a blackened chicken wrap as my entrée. I received a wrap filled with heavily breaded and fried (quite unhealthy) chicken that had no resemblance to blackened chicken, and once again tasted like a salt lick. When the waitress brought us our check, she forgot to include the discount coupon and had to take it back and re-calculate the bill. We had mentioned very clearly that we needed to go because we wanted to catch a movie... Also, when we arrived the dining room was completely empty and so we sat at a table on the bar side....because the dining room just looked sad and depressing. The bar side would be fine for sports fans but for those of us who are not sports enthusiasts it left a lot to be desired for ambiance. I will not be returning to The Harp.

I have come here three times now, the most recent being yesterday. I have been pleased each visit with the prices, the friendly service, and the yummy food! I recommend: flatbreads--really any but the Margherita yesterday was mmmmmm delicious and awesome with its $5 Sunday price, Irish burger, their bangers (whether with mash or as a sandwich), their potato chips that they make, their breakfast flatbread, and these two desserts: triple chocolate mousse (it's a cake slice) and the Bailey's cheesecake (I don't even like Bailey's!). They like to rave about their crab dip, which is novel, but it didn't really impress me as much as their other food. The service is really friendly, but every time it gets to be time for dessert and/or the check, that part tends to be slow. The whole rest of the time they are great, so they just need to tighten up the ends better. For those who don't like the decorations . . . psssh. I like the chandeliers. It has a nice intimate, cozy feeling.

Don't let the name fool you - the restaurant isn't so much a pub as a sports bar connected to a series of dining rooms with little pieces of pub stuck to the walls. Think suburban banquet hall with a pub theme. That said, the kitchen has got it goin' on. They know what they are doing back there. All the roast beef dishes we ordered were excellently and productively paired with cheese. Homemade (American) chips were great as were the waffle fries. Side order of cabbage was deliciously prepared with generous bacon pieces. A salad with chicken breast on top was found wanting, but...someone just ordered the wrong thing. Great service, albeit the servers are all a bit young. Big, clean (completely un-pub like) bathroom. Worth overlooking the out of place chandeliers and uninviting architecture for the food.

After my last review, someone from the restaurant contacted me to ask how they might better serve vegetarians. I gave suggestions. Many suggestions. I'm sorry to say that upon a return trip, it appeared that nothing had changed. Hey, I'm not saying that every restaurant has to be a vegetarian restaurant. I'm saying that 5% of the U.S. population identify as vegetarians, and they want to have fun at your restaurant too. It's not so difficult, jeez. To their credit, they served me a house salad without the cheese and bacon. I also had a margherita flatbread which was pretty good.

So im not sure what made this place an Irish bar other than placing an "bangers" on your menu and putting an Irish spin on the name other menu names i didn't really feel the Irish influence in the restaurant . 1. Service:::: After ordering soup and being told "it will be out in like .(snap)" we waited about 15 min while there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant that had already ate. Table touch were regular and drink were refilled and the server though a little awkward did the best he could 2. Food ::::: the food was great also not terrible. The good ..the food fit the descriptions of what we ordered (Dagwood)(tempura crab app) and it was also served at a good pace and hot temperature. The not so good.. The fresh chips were served burnt and stale as we're the hash browns. The server could have seen the state of these items and asked for fresh before serving them to us. 3. Atmosphere::::: even though the dining room is very clean it seems strange having a enormous chandelier covering event lighting. The greeting at the door could have been a little more welcoming y standing with a smile instead of sitting and being hid behind the host stand. OVERALL if you looking for an average place to grab bite to eat and beer for decent price this is the place for you.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. Really great soup/salad/sandwich options for $7.99 or flatbreads for $5.99. Lots of windows---great for meeting a friend or client. Convenient location on Belair Road. Sit in the bar area as opposed to dining room for lunch. Lots of big screens. Different specials during the week worth trying (like burger days or steak and cake). Service can be a little slow, but servers are friendly!

The Harp used to be our FAVORITE restaurant until quite recently. It seems like they might be in trouble financially because they are really starting to skimp on the quality of some of their dishes. The past two times we've been there something we've ordered has been sub-par. The first was the fish and chips. Mostly batter--VERY LITTLE fish. I wish I had a picture of the before and after shots of this meal that used to be my favorite. The other is the southwest chicken panini. It used to be served with a solid piece of GRILLED chicken, but the past time we've gotten it, there was only pulled chicken--a much cheaper option. The prices are the same, but the quality is not nearly what it used to be. I'm not sure if management has changed or what, but BRING BACK THE QUALITY. This restaurant will never be successful if it doesn't start making quality food again.

FYI It's no longer 'The Twisted Harp' it's now 'The Harp' not sure why they decided to truncate the name but whatever. While I think the staff here was great and they took very care of us I ended up with food poisoning from a burger. So as a result I don't I'll ever return and give them a second shot.

Once again very disappointing service from the staff (our server forgot to put in our order and then lied to us about it) and lack of customer service from the management. This is my second bad experience, the first time I was served raw chicken wings. Dine at your own risk.

    I. love. this bar. I live right around the corner and my boyfriend and I were looking for a quick place to eat. The bar was packed but we got a table pretty quickly. Service was a little slow, but the staff was friendly, there were great beers (I had Killian's and my boyfriend had a Bull Dog). The fish and chips were awesome and so was the shephard's pie. We're making this our new haunt. Can't wait to go back.

No stars! We waited forever for someone to even notice we were sitting there!. Then had to go find someone. Everything we had was bad, the Mozz balls, buffalo chicken salad and a banger sandwich which should have been good since it is an Irish restaurant! I am in the service industry and this was so so bad

Although I still love the atmosphere at The Harp (name change), they are no longer my go to for happy hour. I went in last week, and they no longer offer half price appetizers, which is always what drew my group to this bar. They now offer 'special priced' appetizers, which are a select few at reduced prices. On another note, the bartenders are great and you will always have a full drink

My husband wanted to come here as he thought it was the old place...... With scantily clad women. How do you make a grilled chicken Caesar wrap so salty that it's inedible? It didn't even have dressing in it!! My husband got the crab cake & shrimp salad club and that was too salty also. We had dinner at this restaurant years ago when it was something else and was a lot better. No mini skirts and really bad food..... Skip this place.

The service was not bad.. The fish sticks we ordered for our son were great! I ordered the rockfish with crab cake on top and rice pilaf and broccoli for sides. The rice was not good, It was just plain white rice that tasted strongly of chicken stalk, the fish was on the bland side but the crab cake was great. We did order the ahi tuna appetizer, it was well done the first time so we politely sent it back and the next one was fine. They just didn't actually sear it like the menu said..I did order a simple margarita and it seemed like mostly sour mix, but it was served in a tall glass so that could have been why..I hope this helps! The place has potential if they tweaked some things!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I've been to catered events in the banquet room and loved them. The food is good and the prices reasonable. I can't say the same about the dining room. I found the prices unusually high for a bar. Most of the time we'll pick someplace more reasonable to spend our lunch money.

This place is good enough for a local spot since we live down the street. We come here often for their Irish beer selection and decent food. The Irish fare in particular is quite good. We love the Bangers and Mash. We never sit in the actual restaurant since the bar is so big but it seems to never have a wait.

I've been here a few times and my experiences have been passable at best. It's a neighborhood bar where you go to grab a beer and watch the game. I never expect greatness but this last visit confirms it's not worth catching a game there. I am always disappointed with their horrible beer selection. Maryland has so many amazing local brews and Sam Adams is what they consider artisan. I got the fish and chips and it was drenched in salt. I couldn't even finish it. My beer was flat and the food horrible. My server was ok but ever that wouldn't make me come agin.

Good lump crabcake, meatloaf you can pass on (hamburger-ish), Irish stew good, funnel cake sticks were also good.

I was a guest at a wedding rehearsal dinner here last weekend. It was a long weekend, but I had NOT forgotten how great our server was. He was run ragged but was professional and gave GREAT service. The food was great too. The crabcakes tasted JUST like my mom's (no filler, and that's never happened before!) I had the burger with crab dip and it was the best thing I had all weekend. I ordered the waffle fries, which I loved (and dipped in my burger), and I tried the homemade chips, which are great too. (I didn't order the chips because I don't like chips...but if there's a next time, I'll get them.) The bar looked like a good, cool place to watch a game. It's a shame I don't live nearby.

My family and I just went for the first time tonight. The hostess and food was good but the waiter who serviced us was the worst we've ever experience!!!!!! I wanted to put zero stars but that wasn't an option! We had to wait over 10 minutes for the waiter to bring us butter, bbq sauce, and ketchup. We also had to stop and ask for refills for our drinks. Then after we got done eating we waited about 25 mins before the waiter asked us if we wanted dessert we said no thanks and again we waiting for 30 more minutes to see the waiter to ask for take home boxes after he knew we were done with our food. It took him about 20 more minutes to get them and when he bought them we asked for our check, that was also 20 more minutes. In total after our food came with just the waiting time we wasted over an hour and a half!!!! The bad part is I've been wanting to go to The Harp every since I heard 95.1 shine FM talk so highly about them.

My friends really like to come to the bar to catch the games. The beer is reasonably priced and lots of good eats. I really like the meatloaf and the Shepherds Pie. But the Crab Dip Pizza is absolutely insane. The servers are great and the bartenders are fun. I like the diversity in the music they play too. For the first timers, when you pull up you don't know what to expect. It's in a strip-mall on Bel Air Rd in Perry Hall. When you first walk in, it feels pretty grand and you feel under dressed. But it really is a comfortable neighborhood restaurant and bar.

I usually go to The Harp when I'm trying to stay local. The food is good and they have a nice bar area. I love the crab dip pizza, the old bay wings, and the black and blue burger. Management and service is usually very good, but I have had sub par bar service at times.

I've lived within 15 minutes of this place my entire life, but this is the first time I've eaten here. I read the reviews on Yelp first and was worried as there were not good ones between February of this year and December of last year, but my husband wanted to try it, so off we went. First of all, it is a relief to get to a restaurant and see vegetarian options besides just a salad on the menu (and yes, surprisingly, there are still a lot of restaurants who, when asked if they have anything vegetarian, point to the garden salad). They have a veggie wrap, a flatbread cheese pizza, and a veggie pasta. I went with the veggie pasta and really liked it. Lots of veggies, good sauce. Someone else had mentioned that the veggie pasta was soaked in sauce - I thought it was the right amount of sauce. I like lots of sauce, so it was good for me. I also tried the garlic mashed potatoes, which were amazing as I love garlicky things. My husband got the fish and chips and said they were okay. Nothing special, but good. Our waiter was Mike, who was attentive and we had good service. All in all, a nice place, and a good visit. I have no doubt we'll be going back.

Decided to try the Harp since I had heard that the food here is delicious. Since I was in the area I decided to stop in. I order the crab cake special which comes with 2 crab cakes and 2 sides. I decided to get fries and mash potatoes. The crab cakes were delicious and the fries and mash potatoes were good as well. The crab cakes are a good size and the portion of fries and mash potatoes was good. The restaurant is not pricey either. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Perry Hall.

I've been here a few times over the past 4 years. I noticed that the entire bar and restaurant side has been remodeled. The bar is pretty large and wraps around in an oval shape. There are also tables around the bar. On Friday night, it was pretty crowded. My friend and I found the last two seats on the far side of the bar. I don't like that side as much because it feels a little confined. There are decorative posts on the bar blocking access to the bar every so many feet. I've never ordered the food here before, but the beer selection is pretty decent. If you want to go on the cheaper side, they have Bud, Natty Boh, and Yuengling Lager on tap, but they also have quite a few others like Guinness and Stella. Prices are pretty average for alcoholic drinks. The Harp has a nice environment with tasteful decorating and music in the background. There are also a few very large TV's high on the wall. It's a great place to stop in for a drink, and it usually doesn't get too wild here either. It can get a bit loud on weekend nights.

I found out about The Harp from the Baltimore County Restaurant Week website. My friends and I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. Our waitress, Caitlin, was great. She stopped by a several times to make sure everything was going well and to check if we needed anything. She made sure that our drinks were never empty without having to be asked. I ordered the Irish Onion Soup for my appetizer. The crustini bread with cheddar mixed really well with the soup. For my main course, I ordered The Harp Steak with the sauce on the side (not a big fan of mushrooms) and I picked garlic mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for my two sides. The steak was cooked just to my liking. I dipped the steak in the sauce which kind of looks like honey mustard and it was delicious! For dessert, one had an option between rice pudding, cheesecake, and blondie a la mode. You could choose a different dessert from their dessert platter for an additional $2.99. I went with the blondie and it was ok. The ice cream was really good, but I may have been disappointed because I was hoping it would taste like Applebee's Maple Butter Blondie. Overall, I had a great dining experience! Will definitely return.

My coworkers and I have been coming to the harp for over a year atleast once a week to help unwind after a long work week. The harps wings are to die for... Always hit the spot and never come up short. The drinks are very reasonably priced. My only complaint is sometimes the bar is short staffed and it takes a little bit to get refills once we are empty. We love the atmosphere, very spacious. I've also come to the harp for baseball and football games and they have a ton of tvs to watch on! I love the harp and I always have a great experience when I'm there!

I'm surprised to see such mixed reviews; the Harp is pretty good for a county bar in a shopping center. The food is good, they run cheap drink specials and their brunch has everything from omelets to steamed shrimp. Service is usually good but sometimes they do seem under staffed behind the bar on the weekends. I did like it better when they hosted a poker night in the back on Thursdays and as others mentioned they do tend to randomly close early

Today I received a private message from the manager at The Harp thanking me for the review I left after my visit on St Paddy's Day. After that kind of acknowledgement I feel it's necessary to push them up a star. I love to see things like that. Even if it's just a "Thank you" from an owner or manager. It shows that they care and sincerely want to make their patrons happy. Thank you Patrick, I appreciate you reaching out. My wife and I will definitely return.

This restaurant used to be on point. Used to be, is the key. We were sat without menus. EVERYTHING is salty. The appetizer came out less than 90 second before the food. The fries are greasy and undercooked. Their burgers are small. My wife's food came out cold. My mother-in-law was served rancid coleslaw. We spoke to someone who I guess was the manager who did NOTHING to correct the issue. Horrible experience. Won't be coming back.

Been to the Harp Restaurant plenty of times. Figured it was time to right a review. Service: Fair, prompt and friendly. Waitress never told me her name tonight which is a pet peeve of mine, but to each's its own. Food: Good. From the items I have had, recommend the wings and burgers. The corned beef and cabbage is okay. Cabbage is a little crunchy for my liking. Should be soft and fork tender and not like Cole slaw.....and has to much butter in the dish. Prime rib night is good too. Atmosphere: Casual, great place to grab a drink and hang out and watch a game or listen to some live music.

We absolutely love The Harp and eat here regularly. The burgers are especially good but don't be afraid to try the Irish Coddle on a cold day! We lost my Mother in Law last year and we ended up having the Harp host and cater our memorial party (MIL's wishes!). The wait staff was phenomenal as well. Eat here and you'll be happy!

Rockfish bites were delicious and service good. My husband ordered corned beef and cabbage and waitress said that comes with a side what would u like he said ok rice then . His meal comes and he asks for his side of rice she says it doesnt come with it because corned beef and cabbage come PRE-PACKAGED. Beef was chewy and bland. Was shocked that Irish rest. Couldnt make their special. Disappointing. Other than that okay.

I had the opportunity to visit The Harp, and really enjoyed myself. My siblings and I decided we needed a hangout night and Harp provided the atmosphere that made for a fun night. We sat in the bar/lounge area. The bar is rather large, it reminds me of a oval with seating around the entire bar. On one side of the bar there is a few high bar chairs and tables. They also have half moon booth comfortable for 3 people. We sat in a booth which has a nice view of the TVs. I ordered the 20 wings deal which you can split. So I opted for 10 Old Bay wings and 10 Jerk rub wings, with a full order of "Harp" fries. Those fries are seriously delicious, waffle fries with cheddar cheese ,bacon, scallion and some type of ranch dressing. I personally dislike ranch but the ranch on the fries is so good. I did think my order of Old Bay rubbed wings were a tab on the heavy seasoning side but over all good. I never made it to the Jerk rubbed wings, my brother devoured them on my behalf. By the look on his face he enjoyed them,as well as the shrimp salad on a brioche bun. My sister said the crab soup she ordered was one of the best she has had in a long time. Between the reminiscent jokes, hardy laughs and great food the three of us had a great night. The Harp provided a great setting for a memorable night!

huge bar! And lots and lots of Jameson at very reasonable prices! They carry my favorite beer too! Shmithwicks! The food is good and they usually have nightly specials at the bar. 4 and not 5 stars because the kitchen closes early. Often.

I really wanted to go to Red Brick Station, but I didn't want to deal with all the hoo-ha at the Avenue, so we decided to try this place. The restaurant itself is much more comfortable, and the menu was pretty similar for lunch. They have these open booths that face the giant tbs, and it was pretty dead at lunch. The salads were really good, the dressings were homemade. The boneless wings were yummy, but, let's face it, I don't think I have ever met a boneless wing I didn't like. My husband enjoyed his meatloaf sandwich, which was served on a marbled rye with barbecue sauce. I thought the homemade chips were a little salty, and coming from me, that means they must have been a total salt lick! Service in the bar was not great, but that's what happens when you opt out of the dining room, I guess!

I haven't been here in a few months so I hope nothing has changed. Bar, dance floor and some of the best "bar food" around. This place serves seared ahi tuna at the bar! You can't go wrong with the tempura battered chicken strips or their wings. If you get the wings I recommend the Harp barbecue sauce

We came on a whim and we will definitely be back! My husband and I chose the bar seating. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. A server came right over and asked if we needed menus, which we did. When we asked what was on tap, he knew every beer and was able to answer our questions about them. I ordered the blackened chicken with veggies, which was very juicy and flavorful. The decor was beautiful and the bar was busy, but not obnoxiously loud. We will be back!

The portions here are hit and miss. My husband had an Ahi tuna appetizer for his meal, and it was $10 but it only had a few peices of fish on it. I had a wrap and it was very filling. One of our party had fish and chips and he had to take it home. He's a big guy, if that helps. All in all, the taste was good. Nothing that blew me out of the water. I'll have to go back and try something else, or check out the billiard room at the back. The fact that I'm willing to check it out again is good, but the fact that I haven't set a date on my calendar must say something too. Try it for yourself, who knows, maybe we got the wrong things. I will note, that the number of beers on draft is impressive, and being Irish, a good number of them are Irish brews, which is a plus.

We just left after having a Easter brunch, very disappointed. My girlfriend got an email from here advertising a brunch $24.99 and add momosas for $5. The ad should have said for $3 ea, us as well as numerous people in the dining room all were under the impression. So the ad was a straight lie. The ad said waffles but being early was our flaw because the waffles didnt come out with the rest of the buffet, they came out after we were finished. The crab dip had practically no crab meat in it and their chocolate fountain looked like a overflowing soiled diaper. Huge let down, should have gone to libs grill for their endless $15 momosas. We wont be back here for anytime soon

My husband and I had dinner on Valentines Day. I just wanted to update my review because I see so many negative reviews! We got the rockfish bites and chicken Chesapeake and were in heaven. Every dish I have ordered at the harp has a unique element to it. We will definitely be back again as we have always been more than happy with the service and quality of food.

Wonderful place. Did not expect much from a place in a strip mall type setting, but it was excellent. The Crab Burger is the BEST in Maryland. The onion blossom type app was better than Outbacks famous version and the best of all? They have Smith Island Cake. Which is brought in from a bakery and not home made, but at least they have it. The portion was so big, my date and I together could only finish a quarter of it. The waitress was very nice and patient as I can be known to be a picky person when it comes to ordering. A real gem tucked away in Nottingham :-)

This place is going downhill....manager argues with patrons, server was slow and didn't know anything about the food and made up answers to questions about it. Most of the food was dry and over cooked. Ceasar salad was garbage. If you have to eat here get the wings or fish and chips only decent food here.

Food: The blackened chicken Mac n cheese and harp fries are soooo good. Service: My husband and I come here quite frequently. I gave it 2 stars because the past two times we've sat in the dining area we've had a server that forgets what we order or gets the order completely wrong. Does not follow up with us as frequently as we'd like. We also waited around 20 min for him to come back and pick up our credit card so we could pay and leave. My husband had to get up and find someone to get him...not happy with that. Don't get me wrong, the server was initially really nice, just not attentive at all. Next time we'll sit in the bar area to possibly avoid getting him again.

I go out often and have to say that this place has the worst service ever on the bar side! I've been here a dozen times and every time I go, I wonder why I am back. The bartenders are young and inexperienced. I went there this past Friday and after sitting at the bar for 10 mins with no recognition from any of the bartenders we decided to leave. A simple greeting would have kept me there. I feel that I am an overly patient person and I understand that it takes time to wait on everyone, but when the bartenders are quick to wait on their friends that just walked in and I've been waiting for 10 mins, it was time to go.

11/26/13 tried The Harp for dinner. Ordered 2 entrees - 1 pork and 1 rib eye steak. The pork dish was satisfactory, but the rib eye was inedible - tough. The first indication was when I tried to cut off a piece with the serrated steak knife and couldn't do it. I tried the other end and managed to cut a piece, but it chewed like a piece of rubber tire. Sent it back and the chef did come out and apologize for serving such an inferior piece of meat. Perhaps the chef could have anticipated a problem by looking closely at the cut of meat. Overall it was a disappointing experience. I probably should have tried the 1/2 price (non-seafood) appetizers.

Mins away from movie theatre yet I just discovered! From the hostess, server, food runner & manager, these folks genuinely care & want you to enjoy your visit. Server Caitlin is indeed one the best in the region-well-versed in the menu, asks for preferences from doneness of steak to fruit in your beverage. My friend is hard to please (likes his food a certain way) & Caitlin impressed him by anticipating questions then answering them confidently & graciously. I noticed the banquet room-Caitlin encouraged me to explore it as it was being set for a Painting Party the next day. Most impressive is the CLEANLINESS of this place-from light fixtures to window sills to rest rooms-spotless w/o antiseptic odor. Fresh delish food too-from Steak&Cake to Salads to Dessert. Looking forward to trying brunch & more menu items.

The Mediterranean chicken salad was amazing!!! Even though I had to pick off a gazallion mushrooms, have it give it to 'em.... The salad was the bomb! Now, the service on the other hand ... mmmm - Not so great. In a nutshell, I came there with a group for a dinner meeting, I ordered my food, and they delivered it to a seat that no one was sitting at, only I had no clue that my food had been delivered being that I was sitting on another side of the room... Anyway, I waited.... and waited.... and waited.... for my food. A little over an hour later, I decided to (miss some of the fantastic content of the meeting and) go to find the server to ask her about my food. We then ended up discovering that my food had already been delivered over an hour before to an empty seat. At that point, I asked them for a new salad, as the once piping hot freshly cooked chicken was now cold, and my once cool greens of my salad were now warmer than desired... They grabbed the (SAME) old salad, and (I'm sure) threw the chicken in the microwave and brought that very same salad out to me 2 minutes later w/the same warm lettuce that I specifically asked them not to bring back out. You know it wasn't just the fact that the meeting started at 6:30 and and most people began eating their food between 7:00 - 7:15, and I was JUST RECEIVING my food at about 8:25.... It was the fact that in order for me to sit for OVER AN HOUR waiting on my food - that OBVIOUSLY meant that the servers ceased to come back to check on ANY of us in the room after they brought our initial food out. Believe me... I was keepin' my eyes peeled to see anyone that even remotely resembled a server b/c I wanted another drink as well. I mean, after making a person wait for so long to bring my food, then you bring the food (and FORGET THE SILVERWARE - BTW), I have to get silverware on my own, then you don't even look to see if I needed a drink refill (WHICH I DID!)l.... That says a lot. So.... my overall experience here wasn't too great. With that being said... RATING BREAK DOWN: Service - 1 star (only because negative 3 is NOT an option!... - I mean LITERALLY) Food - 5 stars (it really was a slammin' salad & I'm not your typical salad kinda gal) Grand Total: 2 STARS!!!

love the restaurant, but the service could be improved. I will have to admit that the dining service is a little below par but the food and the overall atmosphere is worth the wait. Sunday's for Ravens games/fans is awesome and the bar runs great specials. $0.50 Wings $5 flatbreads (all day) $1 Natty Boh's $2 Bud Light Also their salads and soups are very fresh. The prices are a little expensive but the food is worth every penny. Small, inviting atmosphere!

Friday Night 80's Night......I like. :-) I met up with a group of friends from high school (yes, high school) 6/28 and really had a good time. The Harp sits back off the street in a shopping center behind a Wendy's and THAT was a bother in finding it for *ME* but....I know where they are now. heheheheh! I arrived late so I missed out on the dinner experience but I'm posting to face book so I hope the other attendees comment on the food they ordered and service. I did order the rock fish bites for the abbreviated menu and they were BANGIN'. Really, I could have devoured a platter of them with that yummy tempura batter. Lip smacking good. I see dancing wasn't listed in the original review so I imagine some tables had been removed to make a decent dance floor area. If you go on Friday night, take along some friends. It seemed our group made up the majority of the dancers. The bar was set-up like a sports bar with numerious flat screen TVs to keep you sport fans occupied. Bartenders were friendly, the clientele was mellow with a mixture of older ,younger, black and white (although one guy did get tossed, I have no idea what he did since I was busy on the dance floor), the DJ was friendly and agreeable and played our requests. Two complaints..... I tried to call for directions when it was clear I was lost and their phone system looped me into a VM system. Fortunately a gas station attendant helped me find my way. The dance floor was a bit HOT and I would have liked the occasional burst of cool air. I will be going back and I'm thinking a St Paddy's Day celebration would be a hoot there! 10/9 Update.....well, well, well.....i waited to do this review because I just HATE saying anything negative but....I don't have a choice. I ordered the crab balls (nice size BTW) and while the waitress was chatting to me and my dinner companion I pulled what I thought was a crab shell and found a large piece of clear plastic buried in the crab ball. **gasp** It happened at the right time though. Of course the server apologized profusely and scurried off to show the manager. The manager came to the table and apologized profusely and offered to remove the appetizer and one of our entries PLUS give me a voucher to use in the future, which I thought was very considerate. Clearly the plastic came from the inner lid of a can of crab meat...you know, that flimsy plastic covering under the lid. For the main course I ordered the rock fish with crab meat covered in the special crab imperial sauce. Hmmm....wellll, not so good. The fish was cooked well but a tad on the lukewarm side. I prefer the food to be piping hot out of the kitchen. The crab imperial sauce was what looked to be grated cheese and not the creamy mouth watering goodness I would expect. ~sigh~ My veggies were lukewarm as well BUT they were fresh and not frozen. The rock fish was the most expensive item on the menu....I think, at 21.99. Considering the fact my appetizer was screwed up I was expecting their "A" game and it didn't happen. My dining companion had the fish and chips and was very pleased. The server told us someone quit in the kitchen, maybe they were short handed. OR....maybe they can't produce what they claim on their menu. :(

I love the bar area. Atmosphere is great and drinks are good. I do have one complaint though... Several food items on the menu advertise that they have avocados. After you order one of these items at a higher cost and discover that the food delivered to you has no avocados, the server says "sorry they are out of season" or "we don't carry them anymore". Well why haven't they been taken off the menu, crossed off on the menu, a sign put up on the wall, or at least advised by the server when you ordered it???? You find out after your $13 salad was delivered that you only got a pile of lettuce. It's happened twice to me in the last two months. I will certainly remember for next time.

What won me over besides the adorable bartender (Andrew, I believe) was my grilled cheese with the house fries. They were amazing. I loved it. It was a party in my mouth. No one but this grilled cheese and fries were invited though. On top of that my pals and I got a free mixed drink. If only we drank fruity mixed drinks! It was still a nice touch tho. I will be back!

This was our second visit in a month and once again, we were loving this place! Our party of eight was seated in the billiards room on a Saturday evening. We started with appetizers: fried fresh mozzarella, onion petals, jerk chicken and cream of crab soup. The mozzarella is for a discerning taste - can be bland, but I love the freshness of it. Plus the sauce is a nice compliment to it. Onion petals were sweet and crisp. Although the jerk chicken was tasty, I would have preferred a little more seasoning or kick to mine. Entrees we enjoyed included the Banger boat, Irish Beef, Rockfish sticks, corned beef/cabbage and the Shepherd's Pie. For $12, the banger boat - two bangers in a roll (boat) covered with champ, fried green beans and Irish Stew (yes, you read right!) - is enough for two hearty meals. The Irish stew was as tender as it gets and the flavor of the gravy is deep and rich. The rockfish is tempura battered and the Shepherd's Pie is indeed a meal to fill you! For dessert we had the homemade pineapple upside down cakes and triple fudge cake. The only item we were disappointed in was the bread pudding - very dense and heavy and not a good overall flavor. Our server Dorothy was extremely attentive and very nice. This is definitely our new favorite restaurant!

I've been to this restaurant three times now, and it really does seem like they're trying. I must report, however, that these efforts have largely been for naught. While the atmosphere is different and fun, each time I've dined there I've endured apathetic waitstaff. The food was also mediocre. I'm usually a pretty easy to please guy, I ordered a chicken pesto flat-bread pizza. The menu made it sound delicious. Slap some pesto on something and 9 times out of 10, I'm sold. The pizza was minuscule for the price, I couldn't taste any of the pesto, and the "sun dried" tomatoes were just regular diced tomatoes. Very disappointing. I left hungry. Also, (And I just thought this was funny, not really a big deal) my waiter at this IRISH restaurant didn't know what I was talking about when I ordered a Smithwick's (Pronounced "Smitticks") Ale. After a second of staring at me blankly, he responded, "OH, you mean SmithWICK'S!" Fail.

I usually go to The Harp when I'm trying to stay local. The food is good and they have a nice bar area. I love the crab dip pizza, the old bay wings, and the black and blue burger. Management and service is usually very good, but I have had sub par bar service at times.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I've been to catered events in the banquet room and loved them. The food is good and the prices reasonable. I can't say the same about the dining room. I found the prices unusually high for a bar. Most of the time we'll pick someplace more reasonable to spend our lunch money.

Love that it's a good spot to watch a game and grab a bite to eat. The happy hour menu is great. Love the crab dip (delish plus plenty to share and/or take home). Wings also very good. Overall good experience on multiple occasions.

Two stars for the large fresh Harp salad. The lunch menu crab fritters were greasy ground crab and filler. Not a crab lump in sight. We may return to give it another chance.

Often.
