This is most everyone's go to sub shop at work. They have a decent lunch special with sub, fries and a can of soda for less than $8. Good for getting delivery while you're stuck at your desk (read: every flipping day, feels like). Friendly, fast, and decent. A good solid middle of the road option.

A friend of mine and I stopped there to order a pizza and other things. Well, the place wasn't busy, no customers in there. We stood there waited for someone to take our orders. 4 people were in the back, just chatting, and yes, they saw us standing there waiting. Finally a bloke came up, happens to be the owner, all he did was, talking about my car, which parked right in the front of the shop. How he used to own one. How much fun he had. If I would sell it to him, etc. I'm thinking, "do you want my business or talk about your old glory days?". Pizza was average, nothing I would jump and down for.

This place is awesome. I'm giving 4 not 5 stars just because of the price for subs, no matter if u get an 8 or 12 inch it's just prorated. U don't get any type of deal with the 12. But subs are delicious. Can't speak for the pizza yet.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday night before 9 pm. Small crowd but not a long wait. Ordered a 12" Italian cold cut that was great. Will definately go back

The cheesesteak sub is where it's at! You get plenty of meat, and will need both hands on deck. Their pizza is ok, I think it needs a little more flavor. They also have a really good Chicken Gyro. It's very tasty, and you'll be wanting more. Last time I ordered we did delivery. We only live about 10 minutes away from Maria D's, but it took them an hour to deliver our food, on a Thursday. It makes no sense. By the time the food was delivered it was Luke warm amd I had to put my cheesesteak in the microwave. I don't like re - heating cheeses team's , that's something you have to eat while it's hot the first time. So I prefer to do pick - up now.

4.5 Stars. Rounding it up to 5. There are a plethora of carry outs from Chinese to Pizza joints just about everywhere you go, but this place stands out because of numerous reasons. Even though their subs may be a bit higher in price than your typical carry out joint, their subs are huge and very flavorful. Cheese steak, chicken cheese steak, gyro, spinach pie, and chicken souvlaki are all great foods that you should try here. My favorites are the gyro and the chicken cheese steak sub. The gyro's great texture from the pita bread to the fresh vegetables complementing the tender and succulent meat. Then the huge 12 inch chicken cheese steak sub with everything, that has a great ratio combination of the meat, veggies, sauce, and bread. There is 1 thing I'm not a fan of, and that's their fries. Got the buffalo fries and they were just, not great. No seasoning and the hot sauce that smothered the fries, gave it a small kick, but not much else. Maybe I got it at the wrong time. Everything else I tried, were either great or amazing. What really separates Maria D's from your typical joint, is that everybody that works there are very friendly and outgoing, especially the owners. The owners are the highlight of the short but memorable experience. It just makes the vibe there marvelous. The food comes out pretty fast, sometimes reasonable, never slow even when they're busy. This place is fantastic!

I got the cheese fries and a buffalo chicken wrap. The cheese fries had mozzarella cheese melted on only the top layer-I prefer melted nacho cheese for my cheese fries. And the buffalo chicken wrap was literally 3 chicken strips in a tortilla. It came with a side of ranch that I put on it. Nothing else. And it was 8 bucks. Totally not worth it!

Wonderful owners, great food and very friendly service. They make the best cheese steaks and spinach pies in Baltimore! Also the home made rice pudding and baklava is totally worth it!

Run of the mill takeout place, with a very early 80s vibe. Not that they're deliberately 80s-styled, it just likely hasn't changed since then. There's a single arcade game (Super Pac-Man) in the corner, old soda signs, and wonderfully greasy food. The pizza is extremely greasy, so sensitive stomachs might want to get something else. The subs are reasonably priced, and the cold subs are pretty good. The fries are the same you'd get at any takeout joint in North America, and their idea of Old Bay fries are just a bag of fries with a handful of Old Bay dumped into said bag. The menu is huge, with one side having tons of items, and the other side with all the specials. The service is pretty solid. Plus, they offer delivery. They do close early (9:30? 10? I picked up food just before 9:30 on a Saturday once, and they were sweeping and putting up chairs.)

Maria D's is tucked away in a little shopping center and is always bubbling with friendly service and fun specials. Their portions are generous, and they have what I not-so-secretly think is the best cheesesteak I've ever had. Extra hots please!
