nice staff, good portions for the money you pay. I've tried the chicken, beef, and tofu and all 3 are great! and buying 5 and getting a hibachi chicken is nice when you have their stamp card. and the wait is never long and nice dine in area as well kept clean and maintained.

This place is tasty and quick hibachi, as the name suggest. I love coming here when I'm in the mood. The down side is the food is greasy and the chicken used is dark meat and it tastes like thigh meat but I'm not 100% sure on the part of the chicken. I never wait in line. I've only had the shrimp and chicken which are fine. No complains and it's pretty cheap for $6 or so for 1 protein and they have tofu. About $7 ish for 2 protiens and maybe $8 for 3. They also have sushi but I've never tried it. Parking is always ample.

The pluses: You get your money's worth and then some. Portion sizes are HUGE and the price - beverage, shrimp w/veggies & a 4-piece order of sushi = $10.00 Fresh - carrots, cabbage, onions and broccoli, all cooked to a semi-crunch perfection and so fresh, they were sweet Didn't skimp on the shrimp Friendly service Minuses: No splenda - what's a diabetic to do? Spanish music cranked extra loud, so much so; I couldn't even think Spanish TV, blasting Odd that the noodles offered, weren't fried with the rest of the meat & veggies, but when asked to do so; our request was obliged Question - what was that light-colored orangey sauce, near the Sriracha?

Food was decent, liberal portions of sides like rice and noodles but the meat portion was lacking. Flavor overall was good on the hibachi beef. The sushi rolls were terrible, no flavor, just tasted like rice. Bad choice on the rolls. Now for the bad part. They had two giant TVs with the volume blaring a Spanish station. It was apparent that this was a Hispanic sushi attempt but to listen to crazy talking Hispanic programming during your lunch was beyond the pail for me. Btw ~ I happen to be Hispanic so no race issues, just tacky restaurant issues.

I have been here at least 5 times and food is always good. I usually order chicken hibachi, i think their side items can be improved by offering more variety. When ordering make sure you ask for extra yum-yum sauce. This time i got the bento box. The box lasted for 3 meals and is the best value. Customer service is always friendly and courteous

Really Oily tasteless hibachi like at the mall but worse because the restaurant was filled with smoke.

I stopped at this place for sushi while driving from my work office site to my team building activity. I called in a sushi order site unseen, and I think if I had walked in here first, I probably would not have ordered the sushi. That said, the sushi was fine. It was pretty heavily sauced, but the fish wasn't old and it didn't kill me. And the staff was pretty friendly. The restaurant had a lot of fun roll options online, so I was encouraged by that. I would not go out of my way to come back here, but I would be fine if I had to come back here again.

Then order process was simple and straight forward. Food was cooked to order and finished promptly. The food was very tasty. The food portions were generous. The over all look of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. Definitely, will frequent this restaurant and recommend it to other.

Industrial looking space with techno music playing. Counter and tables, no waiter service. Proteins were gently cooked with a mild teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds and scallions added as you like. Noodles and fried rice were standard, pepper salad had lots of jalapenos. California roll was OK given that I'm a sashimi fan. Extra credit for green tea in the dispenser and free WiFi, and quantity/price. Rounding up to four stars as a pleasant gobble-and-go. Footnote now that I've got a real keyboard - as I was starting to eat, a number of Laurel city police came in for supper. I gotta figure that's like seeing a bunch of semis in front of a diner - they know where decent chow can be found.

It is Chipotle meets Panda Express in Tokyo. The hibachi offerings are pretty tasty. I have tried all but the tofu and all have been tasty. The veg (just like Panda Express) and rice are laid down and then your entree is put on top once it comes off the griddle. The sushi is to be avoided at all costs! Not good.

Very friendly staff! Food was good! We love the different sushi rolls! We wish they would post their specials somewhere. We ate here once and the rolls were cheap (like 3 for $8) and another time, it was comparable. Last time, there were no promos. The chicken teriyaki was quite tasty! Their special sauce is good on almost anything!

  • Christine N.

The food is comparable to the typical hibachi restaurants in the mall. This location is new and very clean with plenty of seating. They serve really tasty hibachi style food. I tried the chicken and shrimp with noodles instead of rice. I also tried the California Roll - it was decent. Overall, the price is fair, especially for the portions given. It is oily/greasy as some others mentioned BUT who cares when you're hungry!

This establishment is kinda like an Asian Chipotle. They have the modern industrial theme decor and you pick a protein and your fillings. This review is for their sushi only. My mom lives in the area and mentioned that they had opened a new Japanese place in the area. We decided to check it out and were kinda bummed to see that it was a fast food - hibachi kinda place. But we were so hungry and had been set on having sushi - so we gave it a try. Easy to navigate menu. Everything was decently priced. We ordered 5 special rolls and it totaled around $40 something. Green Dragon Cherry Blossom Hoppin Jalapeno California Tempura Salmon Lover Rolls were good. But not the best or the worst. They had way too much rice rolled on and some of the fish was a little on the fishier side. Definitely not interested in coming back for sushi or even trying their hibachi options.

For what we paid ($20 for two), this was a screaming deal of a meal. We got two fresh "sushi" rolls (with crab and shrimp) and the vegetable hibachi over brown rice and a Canada Dry. The service was quick although more than a little awkward, and the food was as we expected. Average Japanese grill food. The unexpected bonus was the brown rice which raised this from two to three stars. I obviously love brown rice. But seriously, the interactions with the host/cook/server were 100% awkward.

This is definitely my go to place in the area for something quick and filling. I've tried the salmon, tofu, and shrimp meals. Salmon and tofu were pretty bland and uninviting. Heads up, depending on who is working you make or may not get all of your shrimp cleaned properly...

  • Eric V.

Stepping inside the ambiance is great, very reminiscent of Chipotle. However, the food leaves something to be desired. The noodles were oily, the beef was stringy, fatty, gristly, and had a number of burnt sections. The mushrooms were nicely done and the price was good. But the quality of the rest of the meal left something to be desired.

As I was leaving Starbucks one day I drove by and noticed the new Hibachi establishment. I got so excited that I stopped by the same night for take out. Very clean space and nice workers. The excitement stopped there. The options were VERY limited. I would think you would have multiple options to add into your rice or noodles. Mushrooms, sprouts, veggies, something. However the menu is basic. You choose your meats and two sides: pasta, salad, and two other choices that I can't recall. I ended up just having shrimp (which was deveined - A MUST) with some rice and noodles. The rice wasn't that tasty but the noodles were good. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back unless they added more options to mix in with your rice or noodles. Great concept - just lacking options.

Love this place!! Love the food, the quality, the quickness. I get the chicken hibachi and get sushi rolls on occasion. It's also such as great price, and the service is excellent!

Hands down, these guys are the best Fast-Casual Japanese style restaurant in the area. I used to be a huge fan of Sarku Japan, but after coming down to Laurel for work, I had to find a new place. Panda Express is good, but not what I wanted. The Local Carry-Outs are great but take a little too long unless I order ahead of time. And even though a new Sarku Japan was supposed to open up soon, it wasn't ready yet. So I went to QuickWay. I thought this place had a ridiculous name, but I gave it a shot. Delicious. It's the Chipotle of Hibachi/Sushi. They deserve the name QuickWay. I was there during their first few weeks of opening, before they did their official Grand Opening, I believe, and I got to chat with the regular host of the location. She is wonderful and helpful and never caught without a smile. I don't know how she does it. I've been coming there regularly as much as I can (without killing my budget) and no matter what time I come in, she recognizes me and smiles and makes sure I get what I usually get or offers a new suggestion which typically ends up being part of my new usual. I think she's either the owner or the site-manager. If she isn't she better be promoted to that position asap. -- Fast Forward to a few weeks back. My girlfriend's parents live nearby and I wanted to treat her to some Japanese Fast Casual. She too is a fan of Sarku Japan, and we saw they had finally opened up. We went over and excitedly ordered our personal usuals and some Shrimp Tempura. It was awful. The service was pretty pleasant but the food just didn't taste right. We were there before the lunch rush and expected a fresh experience but instead got some microwaved limpy shrimp and somewhat dried rice. Later that night I said "F--k it" and decided to surprise my gf with Quick-Way. Double Chicken w/ Double Fried Rice for the girlfriend Double Chicken w/ Mushrooms and White Rice w/Pasta for me. She fell in love and we forgot about Sarku forever. If she can give this place her seal of approval, you have to at least try it. Girl is super picky about what she eats, and she would eat at this place on the daily if she could. --- That being said, I should warn you. Make sure that when you order the Double portion of protein PLUS the mushroom, that you actually get your Double Portion. So far, 2/3 times I've received a single portion and mushroom instead. Being the big fan that I am, I don't even care. But next time I go, I'll make sure to order only the single portion w/ mushroom or go Double portion sans mushroom. I would have said something more last night before I left too, but that wonderful host came at me before I had a chance and threw free spring rolls my way. So yeah. QuickWay, TAKE ALL MY MONEY.

TOO Oily for me... the Fried Rice (oily&MSG ?) Shrimp/chicken/Salmon excellent. Sushi selection was same as all fast food like places) People I went with loved it to the MAX. Maybe next visit I have to request for steam rice. Its new...clean...modern and exciting to the city.

This restaurant is really cool because it has that modern industrious look, it is like Asian chipotle. I am usually a regular here but today I was so amazed how nice Felix was. I would ask for extra sauce and he would kindly give me more. The restaurant is good but the reason I gave 5 star is that the customer service is great. I don't always give 5 stars but when I do I mean it. So come over and try the Asian chipotle.

I decided to check this place out because my friend suggested it, and my normal sushi spots are not as close. I ordered a salmon avocado roll and a spicy tuna roll to-go. I immediately took it home, ready to tear into some rolls. I was SADLY disappointed. The rice was soggy like it was overcooked and smushed. The salmon had a weird taste to it and the tuna was less than appetizing. I eat one of each roll and immediately through it out. Safe to say that was a waste of $10. I'm still hungry.

  • K S.

Shrimp was raw when I got home. Didn't like that they pilled my salad and everything on top of the shrimp and rice. It got dressing on the other foods and made it gross. Avoid at all costs. I would go to panda across the street and get chinese!

  • Angela O.

The food was much lower quality. I threw half of it out. We were waiting for this shop to open only to realize we wouldn't eat the if we were paid

  • Janet D.

Clean with plenty of seating. Fairly quick service too. I ordered the beef and shrimp with noodles and veggies and pasta salad. It was all piled on top of each other so not thrilled that it was all touching (not that i'm freaked out about my food touching but the hot / cold thing not so much.) The beef (if it was that) lacked all flavor and texture was off - no other way to describe it. The shrimp was fresh from frozen. The noodles and veggies were better than the protein. The pasta salad was actually pretty good - appeared to be made on site. I also liked that they asked if I wanted extra sauce, sesame seeds and green onions. I also tried a side of sushi - they use the fake crab but it was made fresh and fairly tasty. 4 pieces for 1.75. Free refills on soda. If, and that's a big IF, I go again I will stick to sushi or try the tofu as a protein. There are better bets around - Pho Siagon or Panda Café.

Big plates , decent prices and tasty food . The chicken teriyaki is good , I love their noodles and the yum yum sauce (I could eat a big bowl of chips with that sauce ) . We tried it once and we are now hooked , great to have something different in the area other than your standard fast food .....

  • H C.

Had some noodles, fried rice, steak and shrimp combo. It was so delicious. It may not be the same quality of meat they have at hibachi restaurants where it would cost ~$20-25 but Quickway took care of my crave. Add some of the Japanese mayonnaise, love that they had some.

    (5)
  • Ashley E.

You had me at quick. Amazing food, clean atmosphere, friendly staff. It's everything I love about a hibachi grill minus the usual cost and "show." I went once for sushi and this time for sushi, chicken and shrimp hibachi. I will be returning, often. Love, love, love. I agree with another reviewer: its the Asian Chipotle. Who wouldn't love that?

    (5)
  • Casimer C.

Honestly, like many have said, its a Chipotle style Japense Hibachi. I've never experienced anything as some of the bad reviews on here stated, and my wife and I have been here multiple times. The food is GREAT and for the price, the quality and quantity are outstanding! I would definitely recommend it, and as long as they keep their standards, Quickway should be a successful restaurant.
