Mid-Atlantic Seafood Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I am a fan. I cant say I am not. I found the place using yelp and i was not let down by my fellow yelpers. The menu selection was vast and worth more than just a glance. They doe a great job explaining what you get on the menu and the staff would answer any question you had. The place was very spacious and the clientele came from every walk of life, shape and size. It was great to see that considering it was close to Baltimore and the unfortunate events that took place there. The prices were extremely well placed for what you got and I assure you, you will not go hungry here! Order the Stuffed flounder......Its a home run for sure!

I have to admit that this place definitely shocked me. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and when I stepped in with my husband and in-laws, I thought I'd made a grave mistake. At first glance, it looks like a screwed-up mishmash of bar, liquor store and cafeteria - definitely not the "fine dining" ambiance that I had perhaps expected from a seafood restaurant - and I was considering turning around and taking my party elsewhere. I'm so glad that I didn't. This really should have been a five-star review, because it's worthy of it. If I were to rate Mid-Atlantic on just the food, it would be better than a five. But there was one big problem that I couldn't get around - but we'll get to that. This place does a lot more than seafood - a LOT more. But, after all, that's what I came for, so that's what I was going to get! All of the menu boards are hung high near the ceiling - you look at them, select what you want, and go to the register to pay - pretty easy. I had a stuffed salmon platter that comes with 2 sides (I chose red skin roasted potatoes and teriyaki green beans with mushrooms), and selected cornbread for the bread side. I also picked out a piece of Boston creme cheesecake, since I figured that would round out the meal nicely. Yes, it was expensive - my meal came to nearly 25 dollars, which seems REALLY high considering the place - but the stuffed salmon is stuffed with jumbo lump crab meat. Well, hey - I can't resist THAT. Here's unfortunately where Mid-Atlantic's rating goes from a five to a four. My husband and in-laws received their food pretty much within minutes. However, for some reason, I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for my dish to come out. I don't know if it's because what I ordered takes extra time to make or what, but by the time my dinner came out, everyone was finished. I ended up having to pack it up and take it home because everyone was ready to leave by the time I got it. That's upsetting. I was really looking forward to a leisurely evening with my husband and his parents (especially since they're from Arizona and we only see them once a year), enjoying a nice meal together, and because my meal was late, that didn't happen. I was hungry, too, and had to wait to eat until I got home (30 minute drive to Baltimore, plus taking care of a newborn infant). No bueno. It's not enough to bring down my rating further, but it was definitely a disappointment. And the ordering system, in a word, sucks. They call out your number on your ticket. As loud as it is in there, they need to invest in an electronic board, or at least install a loud microphone. You just couldn't hear them when they called - my mother-in-law asked me several times if her number had been called because she was unable to hear over the cacophony over at the bar. Once I DID get to eat, though, it was nothing short of dynamite. Even reheated, that salmon was DELICIOUS. The potatoes were great, and the green bean/mushroom combination worked well. And portions? Holy crap on a cracker, folks - this is enough for three meals. Easily. I've never seen so much food in my life. And was it good? You bet it was. The cornbread was just "okay" - I would probably select something else next time. I had the Boston creme cheesecake this morning for breakfast. I wasn't as impressed with that as I was with the entree, but it was still pretty damned delish. As I said - this should have been a 5-star review, easily. We'll definitely be back here for dinner when we're in the Laurel area. But they should really invest in a better system for picking up orders. The late dinner may have been just an anomaly. We'll return and find out soon. In the meantime, you won't be sorry you came here. The stuffed salmon is WORTH every penny.

Wow.. WOW! I was hankering for some fish and decided to give Mid-Atlantic another try. So very happy that I did. Arrive for lunch during a weekday and your beverage is free. Also, noted - the portions are HUGE. A dinner platter is enough for two meals, lunch & dinner; there's just so much food. On this occasion, everyone was friendly and fast. I ordered the fried fish (whiting) dinner meal, accompanied with candied yams and steamed broccoli. The fish was so fresh and the coating, not overwhelming - perfectly crisp and spiced right. The steamed broccoli didn't need butter, for it was super fresh and sweet, and those candied yams, were a gooey, perfection. I believe this meal was no more than $8 or $9. Behind the case, I was eyeballing the baked turkey wings. Unfortunately, I had to run for an appointment, next time I'll try them.

Ordered the Fried Cat Fish sandwich which comes with a side of kettle potato chips. Costs about $6 and it was happy hour all domestic beers $2. Will be back!

Fresh flavorful and well worth the price. The staff was delightful accept for one cashier, she had an unpleasant attitude. The vibe, the cleanliness, the efficiency and the food -WOW- perfectly cooked salmon. The crab cakes were a great compliment. I also tried a menu special bulgogi bowl . It was great.

If you are jonzing for fried EVERYTHING to soothe your savage, artery clogging soul, I pray you find this seafood joint. It's pretty no muss no fuss. You order take out style, pay at the register. No frills. You wait about 10 mins depending on what you order and voila... you're ready to eat. The selection is insane with over 30 sides, and everything as a main entree from fish, to crab, to subs sandwiches to specialty salads. The food is delicious and I spent 18 bucks thinking oh this will be normal portions... NO. I ordered the number 12 which is 3 pieces of whiting, 6 shrimp and 2 sides. If you eat all of it in one sitting YOU my friend should be eating professionally. Dude I almost exploded. Then the dessert case. Smh sheesh. Hello diabetic kryptonite. At last we meet! The coconut cake was so GOOD I wanted to slap the mom sitting behind me! (My mom slaps back so that's a no). Anyhoo, do yourself a favor and treat yourself like once a month maybe, because I do believe that's all the body can take. Enjoy!

Friday @ 5 I ordered a dinner of grilled grouper with a side of broccoli and another of Brussels sprouts. The eye appeal was great as long as you're concerned about food and not white linen tablecloths. The taste is very nice. The broccoli was steamed to the right crispness. Warm but not mushy. The Brussels sprouts were delicious with excellent flavor. I'm real happy. Definitely enough food for 2 meals.

OMG the best baked salmon in the laurel area for sure!!!! The kale is bomb.com too. You really get your money's worth here!

Cheap drinks, smoothies, seafood, and a relaxed environment, it doesn't get better than that. The Prices here are great, where else can you go and get 2 crab cakes and 2 sides for $17.99. The crab cakes had a little bit of Crab meat and mostly filler not sure what it tasted like but it wasn't a crab cake so that justified why they were so cheap. On the positive side the Teriyaki Green Beans and Mushrooms were amazing it was fresh and I probably could have gotten just that and would have been happy. The cabbage was fresh and not a bad taste. Looking around the crab legs were a big hit and o probably should have got that as my main dish instead but I didn't. If I am ever in town and in the area again i definitely will try this place again.

Great place to go if you have a group and everyone wants something different because they have it all. Quesadillas, Meatloaf, Wngs, Deli Sandwiches and more. Even BETTER place to go if you want fried seafood because they do it RIGHT! Cooked to order. Check out their sides before you order but I recommend the mixed greens! Go for a fried fish dinner with two sides. You will have enough to take home another meal. Self serve bar with ketchup, mambo sauce, tarter sauce, cocktail sauce, and vinegar. Small bar area with great happy hour specials. Plenty of tables including some for groups of eight or more. They also have desserts!

Can't go wrong with eating from here. I've been eating here since I moved to Laurel over three years now. Have yet to be disappointed . I always get seafood from here and yes it's always on point. The sides are always good especially my favorite teriyaki green beans. If your in the mood for some good food and don't want your typical fast food this is your place. Highly recommended

  • Jacob L.

Very clean and great service!! The food is fresh and they have over 20 sides to choose from. Brian at the bar makes the craziest drinks. Very fun place to hang out and grab some good food! The beef short ribs and the the stuffed flounder are amazing.

I work 5 miles from this location and visit a few times a month for my fried fish fix. They also have a really nice raw bar and fixin's. All fried items are cooked to order so you know it'll be nice, hot, and CRISPY! For the health-conscious, they have options to steam and broil as well. Got my catfish prepared thinly sliced, for the crunch of course. Spoiled myself with Sunday Football here and some steamed goodies too #recommend

Mid-Atlantic is ALWAYS good. But the wait can be long and painful! I will say do order ahead, or else you will be sitting for a good bit of time waiting no matte the time of the day. There have been times I've ordered ahead and still had to wait 5-15 mins after coming in. However the food is fresh so you can't really complain! There used to be a smoothie bar here a few years back which was great if you just wanted to come in, get a smoothie and not battle the line. Can you bring this back please!

The best lemon pepper and old bay wings around here. They pretty much have any and everything you have a taste for.

  • Tiffany G.

Food never disappoints! Went with steamed shrimp and snow crab legs for me, and my husband got one of the Korean beef bowls which he LOVED. He also got the salmon cakes to start and devoured those too. This is one of our favorite spots for a delicious casual meal and we will definitely keep coming back.

This place is Laurel's version of Cheers!! Good service, Brian at the bar makes the best sangria EVER!!

  • Christopher S.

I wasn't excited about my stay at the Fairfield Inn until I had dinner at Mid-Atlantic. The oysters were fresh, the steamed shrimp was seasoned to perfection, but the mixed kale greens was the best part of my meal. This side dish had a natural sweetness that I have never been able to make cooking kale at home. I highly recommend the mixed kale greens as a side. Oh, and the place has a lively bar at happy hour with cheap drinks and good service. And to top it off, it's next to a liquor store. Did I mention it's all steps away from my hotel. If you are from out of town, this is a Maryland experience not to miss.

i've lived here over 10 years and always thought this was a fish supermarket so i never went in. then i saw all the yelp reviews and decided to give it a chance. i had the korean bulgogi bowl today and it was delicious. it was generously portioned and filled me up. i will definately try some more food stuff from here since the menu is so big.

I cannot believe we have lived in Laurel since 2004 and today was the first time we went here. RUN to this place, there was a line (not huge) at 2:00 on a Friday. We had a drink, a Jungle Juice for $2. OMG I haven't seen a drink for $2 since I was 25 which was a long time ago LOL Then I had raw oysters, perfectly shucked, cold, fresh, sweet, a beautiful sight. Then I had fried grouper, fried potatoes with onions and collards, again perfect. My husband had stuffed shrimp, he somewhat of an expert on this, with fries and hush puppies and again perfect. The place was CLEAN, I mean really clean, service good. So many choices, well run, great food, reasonably (not cheap) priced. Can't wait to go back

  • Sarah Y.

My go-to spot whenever I'm craving seafood. The service is always good and very accommodating. The menu selection is huge and they have just about anything from fried fish, subs and sandwiches, raw oysters, meatloaf, and wings! My personal favorite is the stuffed shrimp dinner. Usually, when restaurants say something is stuffed with jumbo lump crab meat there's hardly any crab meat, mostly breading..but the stuffed shrimp here is definitely worth trying!!

Best seafood in the DC metro area! Awesome happy hour specials! $1 BEER ON SUNDAY?! Everything is cooked fresh! Crablegs and spiced steamed shrimps are good combination with some beers. Raw oysters are huge and very tasty. Very reasonable price, and cakes.. I highly recommend this place. Have little date with gf or have some bromance with bros!

Unprofessional doesn't even began to define the rude experience i encountered on mothers day (of all days to be rude, right?). I had a huge order and tried a plethora of times to use the call-in option and someone picked up and hung up on me a total of 6 times. No one had the decency/professionalism to simply say they had a high volume of orders and to please hold. Instead, someone picked up and slammed the phone down. DISGUSTING!!!!!!

    (1)
  • Candi G.

Everything here is fried. Literally! So if you're in the mood for fried food this is the place to go. I had the fried crab cake which was tasty but nothing spectacular. I had fries as my side and they were nice and fluffy. Honestly, I probably wouldn't come back here unless I desperately wanted some fried shrimp and had no other place to go.

If you are looking to pick up food and or a very very casual atmosphere, this is you place. Pricing is moderate to high for the quality. Very open area which does not allow for any privacy with those you may wish to take out to lunch. Loud tv/music setup which overwhelms any conversation/thoughts. Customer service has a bit of communication barrier, yet it is pleasant. All orders are called out for pickup. Wireless? Not so much.

First time in Maryland. Up here for work. Service was quick and friendly. Food was great. Had the crabcake and fish.

  • Josh W.

First time giving a 1 star review and it's partially relative to my expectations - if it weren't for the cost and current 4 star rating I would've gone with 2 stars (unless I get physically ill). Overpriced for what we got - the seafood was mediocre, the sides were boxed Mac and Cheese and pie filling out of the can. The pecan pie was store bought. The Arnold Palmer was way too sweet. Everything came out to over $20 per person. If I were open to this quality, I would've gone to Long John Silvers for a better value. Don't believe the hype! ------------------- *UPDATE* At least 2 out of 3 of us have gotten mild food poisoning due to eating here. I had the #18, which was all seafood (though I think the scallops were imitation, it's hardly the most important factor as I run to the bathroom every few minutes), and my sister-in-law had catfish and ribs, so it wasn't just one item that was the problem.

  • Gravy F.

The outside of this place does not do it any justice. Good food and really clean inside. Also a large selection. I only got the crab soup, but it was good crab soup! I would say however it was a little pricier than I would like. But overall I will be back to try something else.

Straight up, I wasn't expecting much (no offense to Laurel, but it isn't exactly known as a culinary Mecca), however, Mid-Atlantic Seafood is truly the pearl in the oyster of Laurel's casual dining establishments. It has a diner feel, and is large, clean, bright and airy. The workers at the counter were patient and helpful while we took more time than we should have to make our selections for dinner (Tip: Before you get in line, spend some time looking at the menu and the HUGE selection of side dishes displayed at the front counter so that you're not overwhelmed when it's time to order). We ended up ordering off the nightly "Specials" menu- I had the Sautéed Garlic Shrimp with Vegetables over rice and my friend had the Baked Salmon. Both styrofoam containers were stuffed full, and my past experience with styrofoam containers has been that they are *usually* stuffed full of mediocre food (quantity over quality), but Mid-Atlantic Seafood broke that assumption into a million pieces! THE FOOD WAS AWESOME! I know that awesome isn't very descriptive, but IT JUST WAS...the shrimp were tender, the veggies were crisp, and my friend's salmon tasted like it had just wiggled out of a Bear's mouth and onto the broiler...everything was fresh, wonderfully prepared/seasoned and very well-priced. Speaking of well-priced, because the restaurant shares a wall with a liquor store (they may even have the same owner) they are able to fill almost any beer/wine request you might have, and (much to the delight of me and my friend) the drinks were value-priced and generously poured by one extremely friendly and attentive bartender...I wish I had gotten his name for a personal shout-out...and I really hope he's there the next time we go. :-) My only regret was not saving room for dessert (their dessert case is STUFFED with thick slabs of various fresh cakes and pies), but I plan on going back as soon as I can button my jeans again, and THIS TIME I'll order the dessert first. :-)

This was an interesting stop. Went due to the 5 Stars and it fit the bill. Strange way of ordering food in such a large place but the food was amazing and worth the fast food ordering style. They had a bar and Brian made the visit more than just a stop for food! Highly recommend the food and if you meet Brian at the bar, be sure to stop in!

OK so this place is amazing. My husband and I recently moved to the area and were lured by the great reviews. Boy were they spot on. We went there 3 times the first week we discovered it. The food is incredibly fresh and tasty, but the bar is our favorite spot. Justin and Brian make the best drinks, and they are always ridiculously generous with their pours. The crowd is great, so it's always a blast to belly up to the bar. I recommend the fresh oysters, fried chicken, and cookies and cream pie. Ask for Brian's special rainbow shots or Justin's frozen cocktail (you choose the fresh fruit from the case and liquor of your choice!) Enjoy!

Great food! Great service! Incredible fried shrimp and raw oysters. Yum. I held an event there this week in their semi-private banquet area and my 40 guests were very pleased. Can't wait to go back and do it again. I only gave them 5 stars because there wasn't an option for 6.

We recently went here for the first time. I must say that I love the fact all of my food was cooked to order. The seafood tasted fresh, and they have a good variety of desserts. I will be eating here againg asoon!

We had lunch here recently. You step up to the counter, order and then you pick up your food to eat in or to go after it's ready. Everything comes in styrofoam. I'm really impressed with the variety of fish on the menu - I had the fried haddock and it was excellent. The cream of crab soup was also surprisingly good. The give you very large portions of sides. Our family almost had enough left over for dinner from our lunch order. I will be back.

If you're looking for a fantastic harmfully tasting white chocolate raspberry cheese cake with mold head on down to Mid Atlantic Seafood in Laurel because they have plenty of them. So disappointed

This restaurant is always clean. I've been here more then 3 times and it's never been messy. Its a dine in or take out restaurant. I've done both but yesterday I order to go. I ordered the baked chicken wings(8) with broccoli and Mac n cheese. Fried chicken wing(8) with collards and red potatoes. And turkey wings(2) with cabbage and yams. Also ordered three sweet potato pies and a lemon Marian pie. Total was about $42. Everything was good, my kids loved it and my husband loved it. The desserts were so good. Wish I could have ordered a whole sweet potato pie. The dinners come with a roll, but no drink. If you are going here for the first time try the mambo sauce. It's located by the door when you are exiting. It's good with everything. All in all, everything I've had here is good. My favorite meat is the baked wings and I love the cabbage. Wish it was closer to where I live but I have no problem stopping here before I go home or durning lunch. Great spot for groups also.

Probably the best seafood place around!!! Seafood is my favorite and this food was so delicious and fresh. I will definitely be coming back real soon. I'm usually not a raw oyster fan but the raw oysters were out of this world. The snow crab legs were huge and meaty. I went with my wife and the owner had us try several things on the menu and everything was so fresh tasting. Also a very nice open setting inside and everything looked clean.

The best place to eat in Laurel. Don't even bother going further up Route 1. The variety and selection is almost overwhelming. Everything from seafood, chicken, barbecue, and an array of tasty sides are available. You might think that offering almost everything would mean the quality's just average across the board, but you'd be wrong. The entrees are cooked to order, the sides go so fast they're always replacing one large tray or another with a fresh one whenever I'm there, and you'll never run out of something different to try. Fantastic quality of fish and seafood, better than most places where you'd end up paying more. This place is huge, and accommodates the long lines quickly and well. Very clean, surprisingly so for a seafood market/restaurant. I was introduced to this place years ago by a girlfriend who lived in Laurel for years. She's gone, but this place isn't.

  • Sandra P.

The food was horrible. I ordered the two crab cake with two sides - mashed potatoes and hush puppies. The crab cakes were flavorless and bland. The mashed potatoes had clearly been sitting out there for awhile, the gravy was a watery liquid. The only thing half decent was the five hush puppies I got on my plate. Needless to say, my stomach was not agreeing with what I ate after I left this establishment. This place is a joke, not sure how it has four stars.

  • K B.

Their cake was gross. A huge, cold, wet mound! Stay away from it. I mentioned to the manager that I didn't like it and he refunded my money without an issue. The food was ok. I had bbq chicken wings, broccoli and fries for $7. Since the seafood reviews are so high, I will give it another shot and report.

    (2)

Everything was bland... No seasoning whatsoever on my fish... My fish was fried soft ...., macaroni and cheese was noodles with nacho seasoning.., the bottled water was the best thing

Good amount of food for the price. I got the #24, which included "crab" sticks, one crab cake, scallops, shrimp, oysters and fish. All for $16 without two sides. $18 with two sides. The crab was not very good at all, but the rest was pretty good. I also bought a mid Atlantic iced tea, which was basically a Long Island, but it was also not very good. Ok atmosphere and service

The Takoma Park location is closer to me. But man do I wish this one was. I came here on a Saturday night and the place was busy but not super packed. Didn't take long to get to the front counter and order. The cashier was extremely nice and helpful. Best service out of all the ones I have been to! This location is obviously newer than the other location, so it's clean and very appealing to the eye. It's connected to a beer and wine shop, and offers specials during happy hour. Yep, you read me right.... HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS! I like all their fried fish options really, but this night we decided to get whiting and trout. And damn was it good. Always made to order and was super fresh. Also had my favorite side - the kale greens. We also got the mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, corn, collard greens and french fries. I love that they know better than to mix the fries with the collard greens. All the sides were delicious. I just didn't care for the corn that was too sweet, you could tell they added sugar. Lots of it. And the brussel sprout were just OK. Again, too sweet. The cornbread here is good and fresh. It was still warm when we got it and stayed warm for a long time. The other location I went to provided me with cold and hard cornbread. The prices here are reasonable and the portions are generous. I have to say though, this is my favorite location. I will definitely be back her if I am in the area. For the trout or whiting dinner (includes 2 sides), it was only $8.99 which is an amazing deal. Especially because one dinner could be shared between two people. Another downfall is that this location charges you an additional $.50 for cornbread in where the other location I went to did not.

Went to this establishment based on the reviews. The menu is extensive! My hunger pangs were increasing. I decided on stuffed shrimp, stuffed with crabmeat, and two sides. As stated, you pay, get your receipt with order number, claim your table space, and wait until your number is called. Well..my number was called and I picked up my food at the counter. Much to my dismay, the jumbo (not really!) stuffed shrimp were fried!! Nowhere did the menu state the food was to be prepared fried. Not only that, it was the WORST mac and cheese i have ever eaten. I've eaten vegan mac and cheese that had better taste and consistency than theirs. Needless to say, I won't be back.

The fried fish was pretty good. The grilled fish...not so much. The Mac and Cheese was a bit too salty but the veggies and roasted potatoes were good. Service was fine and the wait for them to cook the fish was not too long. I got past two levels of angry birds while I waited. I bought dinner and lunch for the next day.

I came to this place on a whim after a disappointing experience at another local seafood restaurant. Mid-Atlantic seafood redeemed my evening! Though the atmosphere is quite casual, the restaurant is very clean and orderly. We waited in line for about 5 minutes to order two crab cake dinners (each dinner comes with two sides). I had hushpuppies and cheesy broccoli, my BF had plantains and cole slaw. The crab cakes were top-notch, and we really enjoyed the sides. The cole slaw could have been a little more vinegary for my taste, but it made a nice cool crunchy topping for my crab cake. We sat at the little bar to eat our food, which was delivered about 5 minutes after placing the order. The bartender was hilarious! He was super friendly and made it a very lively atmosphere. I'm not sure of his name, as he told us it was "Mr. Chow" (like from the Hangover movies...) He had a few drink tricks which kept us entertained as well. I am definitely making this place a regular stop! PS: They have serve-yourself Tartar, Cocktail, and Mumbo Sauce!

Fried Seafood cooked to perfection and they gave me a free lottery ticket. Huge restaurant with a tiny parking lot. P.S. You can get your own mambo sauce off of the condiment bar!! That's unheard of. Cream of Crab was ok. I think they used claw meat.

  • Thao N.

My family lives nearby and we eat here all the time. The portions are good and the employees are friendly. It can get pretty busy on the weekend. The only reason I deducted a star was because they tend to lack the side dishes that I love. The eggplant, mushrooms and green beans sides are great! As for the main meat and fish dishes, the grilled chicken is better than the fried or BBQ versions.

I've only eaten here twice and for me the fact that this (location) is a well oiled machine is just as if not more than appealing to me as the food. It is always clean, bright and inviting here. Nicely decorated and seems like whomever manages cares about the impression. I sat at the small but functional bar here and service was actually awesome. Very attentive and eager to please, I enjoyed myself. Other than the fact that I thought the Bombay was too pricey I understood because who really comes here to drink?? so they need to make a profit in this area. As for the food, they have something for everyone and if you can't find anything you like well then stay home and eat lol. Now if you're looking for moms or your Mac n cheese you may be disappointed, but they put forth a good effort on this and other home style classics when you want some and know darn well you're not getting any until thanksgiving otherwise. The fried fish is fried nicely they usually have a great variety. Overall I like this little gem in Laurel. Lord knows food choices are limited here just chains chains n mire chains. Try it!!

While their food is decent, the customer service here is HORRIFIC. After holding for over 5 minutes, I was finally able to call in a lunch order on October 10, 2014. I was told that the order would take 15 minutes, and I arrived about 20 minutes after the call was placed. I approached the counter that is clearly labeled 'PICK UP HERE', and stood there unacknowledged for 7-10 minutes as the female worker buzzed by several times with no eye contact. She did not reply to my "excuse me" upon her third or fourth pass. When she finally had to approach my area in order to fulfill another customer's order (this customer ordered in and had a ticket number that she called), I again asked for her attention. This time, I explained that I had a call in order to pick up. After asking my name, she flippantly waved toward the 'ORDER HERE' counter, and stated "It's over there". Moving to that line would have incurred another substantial wait, as there was a significant line there. I left. First, there is no reason that a call-in customer should not be able to pick up an order at the PICK UP window. If that is the case, the signage needs to be changed. Second, there is no point in calling an order ahead, if the patron still has to stand in the same ORDER HERE line as everyone else. Third, it would have cost that worker nothing to bring my order to the pick up counter, where she clearly saw me waiting for an extended period of time, rather than redirect me to another line. Fourth, it is ridiculous that ANY worker would allow a customer to stand unattended for that long. There were no less than three employees within eyesight as I stood waiting. Fifth, the company is completely nonresponsive to complaints. I relayed my experience via the Contact Us link on the restaurant's website, and received no follow-up. I will not visit there again, and will encourage family and friends to stay away as well.

Good selection of menu options. I had fried whiting, mac&cheese and greens. The fish was delish! The mac&cheese was not baked, I prefer it to be baked, however some may like that it's creamy. The greens weren't bad, but nothing to rave about. The greens needed a little bit more seasoning and vinegar. I did not see meat in the greens which may explain why they weren't as flavorful as to what I'm used to. The pricing is reasonable and the portions are generous. It has very casual atmosphere, it kind of looks like a market with plenty of tables to dine in. Overall I liked this spot and will return to try other items the next time I am I n Laurel.

Great fried fish, crab soup is really creamy, rich, and fresh tasting... Place is huge and akwardly empty often. It's sad people are obsessed with major chains rather than supporting gems like this .. Bartender was great and very hospitable! Friendly service with full bar

I like this place! Like I really like it. The staff is efficient fast and speak English well enough so that I can understand them. It's super clean with the exception of a couple of spills at the condiment section. Here's what I got 1). Whiting fish meal 2). side of kale 3). String beans All was super good like literally very tasty. The whiting was fresh (though fried) still taste very well. The kale was seasoned for the Gods and the string beans, well I couldn't get enough of them. I can't wait to try their seafood salad and desserts. I wish I could've only removed a half of star because it would be a total 5 stars but I must say the fountain fruit punch was awful. It taste like 5 cups of sugar and red food dye with ice. It was gross. it also tasted like that machine (on the inside) need a good scrubbing. Avoid the fountain drinks. Overall though, definitely would go back. The seasoning and selection is a must visit if you're in Laurel, MD.

This is a nice place to come with a bunch of friends and watch the games. Great food, service, drinks. The portions are big so it's definitely worth the price.

UPDATE: Couldn't decide where to grab lunch this Saturday, then I remembered Mid-Atlantic's sprawling menu. Rolled in a little before noon, got the fried whiting, some chicken tenders and fries for the kids, all fried perfectly: hot, hard, and crisp. I recalled that their fried oysters weren't all that great, but they still have a raw bar that I haven't tried, so I got a dozen oysters on the half shell for $20. Most of your upscale downtown raw bars tout their locally-sourced oysters (either from Southern MD or around Rappahannock) and while they can have some decent flavor, they're pretty small. For $20 here you get a dozen BIG, plump, firm, briney oysters. The shells were the size of my hand and the oysters themselves not much smaller. Served on an aluminum tray full of ice with little tubs of cocktail/horseradish and (for some reason) limes, but honestly, these didn't need anything. Really put some of the snooty raw bars to shame. So if you aren't into paying through the nose for dark wood and mood lighting, the oysters on the half shell here are outstanding.

I have eaten here three times so far and have never been disappointed. Everything is seasoned well and tastes great. Their side dishes are amazing and if there is ever a line, the food is definitely worth the wait. They even have great mumbo sauce, which is not easy to do. Definitely a winner.

You want fried chicken wings with candied yams and collard greens? Grilled tilapia with kale and mac & cheese? Fried tilapia sandwich with fries? Shrimp sub? Shrimp salad? Steamed crab legs? You can get it here. It's tasty too! Just point at it and they'll serve it up :) They also have a full bar so you can have a drink while you wait. Good stuff!

WOW! Can we say CO..2 the MO...TOSE!! LOL!! A coworker and I jetted to this establishment today for lunch and I must say the food was on-point! There were so many selections to choose from. Soul Food (my fav), Baked items, veggies...and even a fresh seafood - grocery market. We both had ordered the Friday Special of Fried Catfish and Chicken Wings w/ two sides. Mind you, you must know this was for lunch!!! I still needed to get back to work and earn a paycheck! Each and ever bite was delicious....You would have thought that I was at my Grandmother's crib the way I smashed the fried chicken wings. Nothing was left across my desk except a bone collection and crumbs! In all, the main dish items were great. The fish crispy and the chicken "Hittin' n' Stickin!" The sides, on the other hand, need to go back to damn lab! I had collards and black eye peas! Both, were bland and lacked seasoning. They took the easy way out on these items. My guess would be that their customer base and taste may vary from those that are salt sensitive, diabetic, and/or have restrictive diets! One thing I can say is that they do not use MSG....because I did not experience a headache after eating the meal. What I do know is that I have a severe case of the "--Itis!" At work......my thinking and typin leval iz Slipin s jfdhef wound zzzz dnsd ! LOL!! Okay my Yelpers....later for now....need to find a way to dip out of work...find my car and take a nap after a meal like this! LOL!! Pzzzzzz!

A good place for seafood on a budget. If you ordered a dinner combo it came with 2 sides. I had the grilled red snapper dinner with 2 sides. The problem was I ordered the food to go but when I got back to my hotel room, I found out they had only gave me 1 side. Even though the place was next to my hotel but it's raining outside and I was pretty hungry. So I decided not to go back for the 2nd side. It turned out to be just fine, since the portion was pretty big I was very full after finishing the fish and 1 side. The grilled fish was pretty good, but the collard green needed seasoning. The corn bread which came with the meal free was tasty. Overall, the food was decent and the price was affordable. Just remember to check your order before you leave if you opt for take out.

I ordered a popleta, medium size. The pizza was really good, not too cheesy, not too saucy, not very salty, lots of meat. It was also delivered on time. Worth the price.

Ok what kind of review can I write when you can walk into a place and order any kind of fish, have any kind of side added, get any kind of cake you want and then walk out without spending more than $15 bucks? The seafood is cooked perfectly, I had to wait a bit for my salmon but ok, I would have waited at home and had to stand up and cook it my own damn self. While some of the sides look like they have been there all day they still taste sinfully delicious and you won't regret it. I saw from Alex the prices went up in 2013, but ok didn't everything? We are still talking less than $15 here people.

So the Boyfriend and I were in Baltimore and we really wanted fish. We are Ohio people. We never get fresh fish. After the long trek to Maryland, we found that most of our fish options closed at 9. It was 9:01. What to do? To Yelp, of course! That's where we (I) found Mid-Atlantic Seafood. Here's the deal: you look at the extensive menu on the wall, you order, and you sit. The staff calls your number, you come get your food, you eat it out of styrofoam to-go containers. Make sense? Of note: this place is really big. It was awesome that as many people as there were on a Thursday night, there was plenty of seating to go around. But make no mistake, this place does a big business. There was a line before and after us but the line moved quickly and steadily, even for it being within an hour of close. Since we went at the end of the night, they were out of the first couple sides I tried to order, but that's more on me than on them. I wouldn't make a new batch of stir fried string beans either if it was 30 minutes until close. I also got the end of the coconut shrimp, which made it taste better (I am obviously very scientific). Boyfriend was really into the crab cakes and we were both stuffed with about 1/3 of the food left. It was like the loaves and the fish! It was biblical, I tell you! So, if you need quick and easy seafood, you should check out Mid-Atlantic. It was solid and a heck of a value.

Just thinking about this place has my mouth watering! As soon as I walked in I noticed 3 things right away #1 the line was so long #2 The menu was huge #3 the Restaurant was large and surprisingly clean! I ordered the cat fish dinner with fried rice and teriyaki green beans. They fry the fish when you order it! Fresh hot meaty cat fish, the sides were not bad at all. The prices were ok, they even have a bar with happy hour prices and appetizers!! Don't worry, if you are on a diet or just not into fried foods they have a nice selection of baked/broiled entrees. They have soul food, seafood, American food and desserts. This place is a must go!!

Best place in Maryland to get fish. They fry it to order, it's fresh, clean, and well seasoned. The yams are off the chain, but the mac & cheese is disappointing. Big menu, good prices and a GREAT happy hour.

This place rocks! I was in the mood for something tasty, but didn't really know what I wanted to eat. So, I decided to give this place a try. When I got there, they were about to close, I think they close at 930 instead of 1000. The guy (or teen aged boy) who took my order was cool and funny as hell. We had one of those eye-to-eye, inside-jokes going about the dude in front of me who was too busy on the talking on his cell phone about "business and money" to properly pace his order. I ordered fried whiting, yams, and zucchini. Everything was well seasoned and taste. They have a self-serve sauce center, complete with mumbo sauce (LLS). The service was courteous and prompt. And they have a great selection of foods from fish cooked to order, to pigs feet, (no thanks), to lo mien. I'm exited to try some crab legs the next time I decide to swing by South Laurel.

Mid-Atlantic is a great place to get great seafood. I love their fried catfish. The staff are always nice, and my fish is always fried fresh. Because you are getting fresh food, it may take a few minutes, but its worth it. The sides are buffet style, but they are always fresh, hot, and yummy. Also, there is a big dining room so you can enjoy your meal there if you would like. There are flat screen TVs to enjoy while you wait for your order or while eating. Very clean and welcoming. I have to say with that kind of space in their dining room, I wish they would have some events to create more traffic in their dining area. Because it is always empty, one may think the food is bad, but like I said, that's not the case. Once you try their food, you will always come back. Mid-Atlantic is a great spot to get all kinds of food. Period. Enjoy! OOooo a bonus is the Wine & Spirits store is right next door. Find a great wine to go with your meal!

Joined a friend for lunch and was pleased with his suggestion! I was overjoyed to see that they had Porgies as an option. I grew up eating fried porgies in NJ - our traditional Friday dinner. They are not so popular in the DC area so it is a treat when I'm able to have them AND they are cleaned and prepared well. I got the Fried Porgy dinner which had two huge peices of fish split down the middle and fried to perfection. I chose collards and yams as my sides. Overall the meal was very good for $12. It's not the fanciest place but it is not a dive either. There is lots of seating, nice square marble tables, TVs, and a small bar area. I would definately recommend and go back. The selection of seafood is the most I've seen in the area. Enjoy!

My Korean owners & -Latino peeps are really doing their thang in MD! Must say everything thrown in my mouth was FRESH! I ordered #15 fried combo fish 2 shrimp- 2 scallops -2 oysters YuM didn't leave u feeling greasy after eating & the side veggies were cooked perfectly! Must try if you're in the area! Cleaniness a must!! & this place is def. clean & food keeps flowing out as customers come in and out of this place like a factory line! I'm guessing this is the " go to" spot for some fried fish! Wish we had this spot in NY!! They would make a killin'!! Let me know if u agree! Happy eatin'! Note: the only 2 items I would suggest you skip here are the mozzarella sticks- It's not coated & fried w/ breadcrumbs- it's fried in a beer batter/ tempura type batter so if u are picky - skip! Free cornbread - skip!! from the dinner menu. I went back again today for the 10 fried oysters " sandwich" slightly cheaper than the dinner portion - No sides & no cornbread - they give u 2 slices of wheat bread but I have to say it was perfect for my tummy!! I would stick w seafood here!! I had a large party order all sorts of stuff from here & we were all satisfied!! SEAFOOD is plentiful & fresh! Love the small condiment bar! Tartar / hot sauce/ ketchup/ some ketchup w blk pepper lemon sauce?/ vinegar Only problem you're going to have is having to decide what to order!! Way too many to select from- how can that be a problem!! Enjoy!

The deli style ambience can be a bit off-putting, but do not let it fool you. This is tasty seafood! I had a crabcake dinner and while it only included 1 crabcake, it was about the size of a 1/2 lb burger and included 2 delicious sides (I had the broccoli and hush puppies) along with cornbread. Everything was exceptionally tasty! The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean! As a basic, no frills seafood experience goes, you'd be hard-pressed to find better!

I came here one Sunday afternoon with some friends from church. As soon as I parked in the parking lot, the young'n riding shotgun next to me had already decided that the place was going to suck. Well as soon as we stepped inside and were overwhelmed by the vast variety of options--she changed her mind: This place was going to be AWESOME. We must have been a sight, walking up and down the entire length of the deli at least three times to make sure we had covered everything. Everyone's food was pretty good. I loved my grilled tilapia and two veggie sides! The portions are huge and they give free cornbread. The cornbread isn't that great but hey who cares, its free! The price is great for the quality and quantity of food. I can't wait to go back. I saw like twenty other things that I wanted to try. I took one star off because they have a section for frozen yogurt but they are no longer serving it. Why? I literally went to the cashier and asked, "WHYYY *sad face* ???" And it was just as I suspected, the whole frozen yogurt trend hasn't caught on in this area. PG County's natives (meaning not college students) just don't find fro-yo to their liking... yet. I'm guessing they prefer the "so heavy it screams obesity" flavor of Coldstone's right around the corner. Oh well, they still serve fresh fruit smoothies. I haven't been able to try any of them yet because I was just too full.

Excellent fried fish. So much can go wrong with frying. This was perfection: Very lightly battered, not overcooked, and not at all greasy. The hush puppies were fantastic too. And I would make a special trip here just for that kale. The food was fresh, the personnel were friendly, and the portions are generous, particularly given the extremely reasonable prices. An amazing find.

Fish very good. Service...average. This place has ALOT going on. Frozen yogurt, bakery, carryout and now liquor and lottery, comeon. Do we really need another liquor store in this area (Rt. 1), or are you taking advantage of the people that eat here will also want to buy liquor and play lottery at the same time. Good business model, I just can't subscribe. IMO I am sure many people will not see it that way.

Easy place to drive by and not look twice at. Took some convincing to go inside, and I was pleasantly surprised. Great selection of fresh seafood and so many other things that you might be in the mood for. It took me a while to realize what I wanted to get - everything looked so good, so make sure you have your appetite and cravings in check before you go in. Very affordable and great food.

We went here today for lunch. It's primarily a restaurant with a small but decently stocked market attached. The menu is extensive and includes a lot of "home cooking" type items mixed with sandwiches, wraps and smoothies. The main dishes we tried (fried seafood, chicken wings, crab cakes) were all very good and freshly prepared, but the sides (macaroni & cheese, french fries, broccoli with cheese, potato salad) were pretty typical bland deli fare. Adding a little mumbo sauce (which is a reddish-orange spicy ketchup-like sauce and apparetly is a big thing in DC) made things more flavorful, but didn't fix everything. Overall, I was not impresssed or disappointed. It was a very average place. I might go back if I happen to be in the neighborhood, but it wasn't a place I'd seek out.

We wanted to go to Dickey's to grab dinner. It was a Saturday night, so when we got there at 8 and they were closed, I was pretty disappointed. So we decided to come to here instead. It's much bigger than I expected (but makes sense since it used to be the Sunny's). Don't be overwhelmed like me. Go in with a plan. Know what you want! There is a gigantic and extensive menu all over the walls that basically encompasses a variety of the following: - baked, fried, grilled, steamed, and stuffed seafood - ribs and chicken - sandwiches, subs, wraps, and salads Some of the meals have combinations, for instance you can get crab cake with shrimp, or crab sticks with oysters. All of the dishes and entrees come with bread and 2 sides. I don't know if sandwiches, etc. do though. They offer white bread, wheat bread, or cornbread. There is a whole wall dedicated to the sides menu alone, and has way more than the basics. I wasn't really sure what food would be their best, with all the options to pick from, but I shared the popcorn shrimp and barbecue chicken (you can also get baked or fried chicken though). I also tried some hushpuppies, roasted red skin potatoes, coleslaw, stir fried veggies, and opted for the cornbread. There are desserts and other refrigerated items that you can just pick up and pay for. I'm really looking forward to trying the froyo when this part of the store opens up in the spring. "Frostberry" will also sell smoothies, fruit juice, and shakes. The menu shows even more options of toppings than Yogiberry/Pinkberry has stocked, but I wonder if they'll actually have all of them available at once. I haven't gone into the market next door but I know my mom bought some flounder and had it cooked ahead of time there for a small fee. Go see for yourself! The hours are great. They even have a breakfast menu!

This place offers a casual atmosphere for some phenomenal fried fish. To be honest, I've only had the fish and buffet-style sides and they have huge selections of both. They also serve huge portions and I'm always left with lots to take home. The grocery store next door is convenient to do some quick shopping.

It's pretty rare to find good grilled fish on the go, so I'm always on the lookout. Three things I look out for when choosing a good grilled fish: 1. Freshness. 2. Fish variety. 3. How its grilled. THE PLACE: Is BIG! You can play basketball in this place big. If you're passing by, it's hard to sense from the outside that they serve hot food, although it says they serve "hot food". This place has alot to offer, I'm just scratching their granite surface. THE ORDER: Grilled tilapia platter with 2 sides and cornbread. They have a vast amount of sides freshly displayed for you to choose. I chose the cabbage and collard greens as my sides. RESULTS: The order took awhile but the giant plasma TV playing bball kept me entertained before my pick-up. The portions are huge and everything looked and tasted fresh. The fish was grilled just right, slightly charred on the edges. I chose my dressing at their self serve area of condiments, hot sauce, tarter sauce, mumbo sauce, vinegar, etc. It's enough to feed two average persons...I inhaled it. Definitely adding it to my fish on the go list. I'll be back...

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about an asian fish market is the damp floor and the smell. I was shocked at how clean this place is! I remembered Su's review for this maket and its close proximity to Famous Dave's where I had lunch. The temptation was too strong to resist a quick "look around". Yeah right, now that I had walked in how can I not try something?...doh! 3 big strips of fried sea trout fillets later, my dong bae (belly) is again regretting this decision. The fish was fresh and it was well fried. They have a condiment bar with cocktail, tartar and other sauces. Their food choices are vast, ranging from bbq, sandwiches, salads and more. Can't wait for spring when they re-start the fro-yo machines.

Absolutely the best in Laurel!! Everything is delicious and if you're unsure just ask and they will let you sample. You get huge portions for a small price. I swear I eat here like 3 times a week and its delicious every time. It's not the healthiest but they do have salads and fruit. The tilapia stuffed with crab cake is mouthwatering, but you will have to wait about 15 mins for a fish dish as it's made to order. I can't complain about anything! Well, the cornbread could be better. It's dry. But mixing it in mashed potatoes does the trick for me, lol. Plus everyone who works there is nice. You can sit and eat while watching the big screen. Fresh produce is sold on the other side too.

cornbread - not worth it. sides - collard greens/broccoli/green beans were good. Cheesy potatoes weren't. Oysters - Raw were pretty decent in size/flavor and cheap. Fried were also pretty good. Shrimp - nicely breaded!! Fish - (I think it was whiting) the breading had no flavor, and a little dry, but nothing that some salt/tartar sauce/hot sauce couldn't fix. Fried calamari - crunchy!, nicely done. Overall, for the price (cheap) you cannot ask for more!. Great bang for the buck.

Fried fish, fresh fish, and Korean-style frozen yogurt in the same building? That's what you'll find at this seafood restaurant/grocery store/KFroYo shop. Food - Being from PG County, I love me some fried fish and this is the only place close to home where I can get me some. You can also get Alaskan crab legs and other fried goodies. There's also a pretty wide selection of my type of comfort foods: BBQ ribs/chicken and sides. Prices are reasonable and the food is decent. Grocery - Asian-themed similar to Super Grand Mart just a mile or two away, except this place isn't super or grand. The produce selection is decent and comparable to major grocers ($0.49/lb for B A N A N A S!). There's also a decent selection of "fresh" fish covered in ice, though I can't attest to the freshness of it yet. You'll also find rice, ramen, spam, and sriracha - the 4 staples of the poor Asian undergrad's diet. KFroYo - they have a Frostberry, which I'm assuming is similar to Pinkberry/Yogiberry, but it's closed until the Spring. Location - A standalone building formerly known as Sunny's Surplus on Rte. 1, the grocery and the restaurant/froyo is separated by a glass wall. There's plenty of seating for the restaurant and most of the seats are taken by the heftiest Laurel has to offer, which I consider a testament to the quality of the chow. Service - my 2 rules for carry-out type of places: 1) speak decent English and 2) make sure I get all the food I ordered. This place does both, so 2 thumbs up. This place makes me think of the phrase, "Jack of all trades, master of none," but I've gotta give props for a place that does fried fish right. Hours: Restaurant: M-Th - 6:30am-10pm F - 6:30am-11pm S - 8am-10:30pm Su - 10am-9pm Produce & Seafood Market M-S - 9am-8pm Su - 9am-7pm

You must check this place out. Everything you could ask for: fresh seafood, wings, desserts, endless buffet of sides and a bar (w/ happy hour)! You get a lot of delicious food for your money. You can tell the restaurant is clean and serving food with integrity. If you need a suggestion, the stuffed tilapia is awesome and the raw oysters were the best I've ever had. Great place to get a bite to eat and watch some football on their multiple flat screen TVs. If you stop by for happy hour, you'll definitely want to try Eddie's Famous Cosmo! You'll never want to order another cosmo elsewhere.

I came here today, New Year's Day 2012 to purchase some chitterlings since my mother had a taste for them and I was not willing to make them. The chitterlings did not have much flavor at all they were actually very tasteless. I was informed about Mid-Atlantic Seafood by my aunt, who is normally on the money when it comes to selecting restaurants. I do not know what happen today, but I would have thought they would have wanted their food to be great for New Year's Day. I am glad that I made the rest of my dinner (country ribs, greens, black eyed peas, and rice). I had to come home after spending $32 on some chitterlings and add some seasonings and cook them a little longer to make them acceptable towards our meal. Also, what is up with the carrots in the potato salad?

The food there is quite good, but if you get carry out be sure to check your order BEFORE you leave. I did not check mine this past Saturday night (mainly because when they called my number they had all my containers bagged already) and when I got home two of our three side orders were missing! Major fail. I called back immediately, someone answered and then evidently just put the phone down. I could hear the cash register ringing and interaction with customers, but I just sat there on hold. When I called back and finally got someone (I also left a voice message that went un-returned) I was told that they could not credit my card back but that I could get a credit towards two full side orders the next time I come in. That's not a perfect solution, or the one I was looking for, but I did not have time to argue about it much. Seems as though they should have gone farther out of their way since my family of four was so inconvenienced, and since I had to call THREE TIMES in order to get restitution. I also don't like the fact that they closed down their fresh seafood section and opened a liquor store in that space. Now I have to drive much farther for my rock fish!

I tried this restaurant as a suggestion from a friend. We arrived around 10PM on a Friday night. It took a while for me to get my baked fish as the guy who took my order explained that it takes longer to prepare than the fried fish. I received my order and the fish was okay but needed seasoning, the same for the potatoes. As my friend and I were eating, at around 10:40PM we were told by the manager that the restaurant closed at 10:30PM and basically that we needed to leave because he had to let his employees go home. Who does that? It would have been okay had we been told this in advance like when we ordered our food but while we're in the middle of a meal? Needless to say, I will not be back to this establishment.

Must have passed by this place a couple of dozen times wondering whether it's clean and fresh. I had to stop by as I ran out of choices for crabs. It's clean and the stuff is fresh...period. Both sides were clean, the fish was fresh...burried in ice. I ordered some fish and live crabs which were excellent. The service is unbeatable. The place is my new favorite, replacing Franks' in Jessup...which is difficult to beat. Good job guys!

The best lemon pepper and old bay wings around here. They pretty much have any and everything you have a taste for.

Food never disappoints! Went with steamed shrimp and snow crab legs for me, and my husband got one of the Korean beef bowls which he LOVED. He also got the salmon cakes to start and devoured those too. This is one of our favorite spots for a delicious casual meal and we will definitely keep coming back.

i've lived here over 10 years and always thought this was a fish supermarket so i never went in. then i saw all the yelp reviews and decided to give it a chance. i had the korean bulgogi bowl today and it was delicious. it was generously portioned and filled me up. i will definately try some more food stuff from here since the menu is so big.

OMG the best baked salmon in the laurel area for sure!!!! The kale is bomb.com too. You really get your money's worth here!

Excellent! All of the seafood options are delicious! As others have mentioned, the menu is huge so there is surely something for everyone here. Prices were very reasonable and they are not shy with loading up your to-go box. One thing to note is that pretty much everything from the seafood menu is fried. The frying quality is superb, but I wasn't expecting even my oysters to be fried when I received my food! I am happy to give this place my strongest recommendation.

  • Carrie O.

We had an excellent meal here while visiting the area. Ate at the bar. Great deals on cocktails. Fresh local oysters. Great! Fried local snapper. Great! Crab and Shrimp Special. Great! Don't be put off by its appearance. Like everything, the cover doesn't tell the story.

Very clean and great service!! The food is fresh and they have over 20 sides to choose from. Brian at the bar makes the craziest drinks. Very fun place to hang out and grab some good food! The beef short ribs and the the stuffed flounder are amazing.

The outside of this place does not do it any justice. Good food and really clean inside. Also a large selection. I only got the crab soup, but it was good crab soup! I would say however it was a little pricier than I would like. But overall I will be back to try something else.

Good stuff!

Try it!!

Great fried fish, crab soup is really creamy, rich, and fresh tasting... Place is huge and akwardly empty often. It's sad people are obsessed with major chains rather than supporting gems like this .. Bartender was great and very hospitable! Friendly service with full bar

Enjoy!

Great bang for your buck. Everything is fresh and delicious. Fish is cooked to order and the sides are amazing. This is the place to go for any southern comfort eats.

Very affordable and great food.

cornbread - not worth it. sides - collard greens/broccoli/green beans were good.

Went again for the fresh off-the-whole-salmon cut, and this time the guy threw in a huge tupperware container to manage the slab of salmon. Score! Fresh salmon AND a tupperware container. I love them. I love them.

This place offers a casual atmosphere for some phenomenal fried fish. To be honest, I've only had the fish and buffet-style sides and they have huge selections of both. They also serve huge portions and I'm always left with lots to take home. The grocery store next door is convenient to do some quick shopping.
