Great location since it is near my house and job. But I was really disappointed after reading the article about how they lied to the customers about no longer using GMO's on food they serve and sell. I love chipotle and honestly for them to falsely portrayed themselves highly upset me. I am a frequent eater here and I've had no complaints about the food nor the service until now.

Somehow they ran out of lettuce. Apparently you can't leave a one sentence review. But that pretty much sums it up for me. I wanted a salad, they had no lettuce.

It's 6pm and they don't have any fresh rice, fajitas or steak. Need I say more? I'm only waiting five minutes because I'm super hungry and can't go anywhere else. Otherwise I would have walked out and gave my money towards another establishment who's prepared for a dinner rush. At least 4 people have walked out. Employees are all young and careless !

Horrible staff and service. I start to not go to Chipotle because of this store. They screwed up my online orders every time. The staff is so rude and arrogant. I'll be stopping ordering food from them.

No complaints about the quality of food, atmosphere, or cleanliness of this location. However, the customer service and quantity of food served at this specific Chipotle leaves much to be desired. Honestly, I don't even mind when they accidentally add beans even after I specify that I don't want them, but there's absolutely no redemption from the child-sized portions they consistently dish up here. With the amount of food you get, you'd think each employee personally goes out and buys all the ingredients themselves. Compared to the Wheaton and Aspen Hill locations, the Kensington one is like the malnourished, neglected stepchild. Unless you're in the mood for a half-meal, I'd suggest passing on this one. Atmosphere - A Service - D Food - B

Only 2 stars because of the service! I love chipotle, nothing is wrong with the food or how clean the place is but the service is awful. I work near this location so on my 30 minute break I have to make an online order so I can just grab it and still have time to eat, but literally EVERYTIME I order my lunch here and I go about 5-10mins after schedule pick up and my order is NEVER ready! The staff constantly does this and when I'm in there sometimes the staff will ignore me and continue helping the customers in line before even making my order! I have been meaning to complain but today was enough for me, today they made me wait for my bowl and gave me very little chicken and rice. I had 10 minutes to quickly eat my bowl. I'm never coming back to this location.

Online ordering is a joke here. Hit or miss if it is ready on time or not. Always running out of food and the staff looks so stressed out. Hard to get upset at them not really their fault as the companies policies seem to be making everyone customers included stressed out.

When I order online It is never ready on time it's supposed to be made before you get there but they make it as soon as you get there. Other than that it's fine nothing special

Lol I think Ive met the crazy staff. I told Lady on toppings corn, cheese, and guac. She spooned cheese and said,"that's it?" "No, corn and guac." She spooned guac. "Corn, too." She shrugged with her arms up and bugged her eyes out like "what?!" And then another lady picked up the corn bucket from the counter and literally shoved it in her face and yelled "CORN!" I cracked up laughing. Anothee time I met the cashier that disappears into the back for 12 minutes...how does that work when this is a conveyor belt system and the lines are always out the door?

Great food as you'd expect however this is the slowest operation I've seen at any chipotle.

I have ordered twice since my last review (both on line for a future time). Last month I request a 5:30 ready time knowing that I would not be there until 6pm. That worked perfectly and my order was ready. Yesterday I ordered at 3pm for a 5pm pick-up. At 5:15 when I arrived they started making my meal. Crazy! The only reason I give them two stars is because we love the food - the poor rating is only for the horrible on-line ordering process.

Chipotle is one of my favorite fast food establishments. This location is no different in terms of quality ingredients and deliciousness. The line gets quite long during dinner hours, but I've never waited more than 10 minutes even when the line wraps around the store. My current favorite is a rice bowl with sofritas and sour cream. The spices and cream mixture balance each other really well.

Some people say "a Chipotle is a Chipotle," but when you go to Chipotle as much as I do, you realize that it can be a hit or a miss at times. It's little things that make a big difference in taste. Like off-days with salsa, overcooked/underseasoned meat, overly onion-y guacamole, or just a staff that doesn't understand what a good sour cream-to-salsa ratio is. Here is a Chipotle that is really consistently amazing. Sometimes you have Chipotle that's just "meh" and you don't even notice what you're chewing, but here I'm just like totally into every bite I take. The meat here is always perfectly seasoned and the chicken is notably juicier and fresher than other locations. I don't usually write reviews for Chipotle but this one is my favorite. I also feel less depressed in this location. Wide windows, open seating arrangement, no exposed industrial ceiling (yeah I get it's an aesthetic choice but I appreciate it not being there sometimes). Not to mention the staff is really, really sweet. My dad loves them and has become "buddies" with a few of them. Once we all got meals on the house because my dad got to talking to some of the workers about hats haha. Just a bunch of really nice workers. I read in the other reviews a lot about incompetent workers but I've never experienced that. They're always really attentive and make sure everyone gets what they want. Of course when you're serving a hundred customers a day you make a mistake here and there so maybe that's it.

An older restaurant with not as much seating as usual. The line was pretty long but it moved fast. I would rate it fair in cleanliness. Food was definitely fresh, and they were very generous with the sour cream and guacamole. Good spot for fresh fast food.

The customer service here is bad. Sometimes the employees look like they don't even want to be at work. For a while when I wanted to place a big order online, their location would not show up. One day I went in to place a big order and they guy told me that I could've done it online and I told him, well if your location showed up on the website I would've done that. Honestly with the customer service being not so great, I would not a online order. I am giving this location two stars, because I ordered something and I had raw meet in my food. I was out right disgusted and did not even finish my food. It was a waste of money. It had me question the food health and cleanliness of this facility. Apparently chipotle caters now, but I would not get a cater from this chipotle if they can't even cook their food all the way.

This could be specific to this chipotle or all of them, but ever since they increased their prices their sizes of burritos and bowls have reduced. The spoon servings are never full like they used to be. Chipotle does not fill me up like it used to. Eating one bowl or burrito was difficult and constantly had left overs, but now I clean my plate and still want more. What is the deal? Why are we paying more and receiving less? How are people not upset by this? Am I the only one?

I didn't know you could mess up Chipotle but this location championed it. The poor lady in front of me was shorted all three of her kids meals and as the guy noticed he didn't give them to her, he didn't try to stop her from walking out the door once he realized he didn't give them to her.

  • A B.

A usual Chipotle franchise, but one of the worst I've ever tried. Multiple times to be sure. Counter service is robotic and unfriendly. Food is slapped down like slop. These ladies are unhappy or overworked or both. Location is loud, overcrowded, and a nightmare at the lunch hour. The parking lot is not only difficult, but a war. You have to really want chipotle to bear it all. Head up the road to Baja Fresh.

Chipotle needs know description. Put in an order over the app and they loaded my bowl up! So no complaints here...

Fast service without losing the great customer service. Only location where I have to ask them to scale back (haha). They right away give you big scoops. Overall great!

This is probably the Chipotle I frequent the most. It's like any other Chipotle... I can't complain about portion size because I always ask for extra stuff whenever I go to any Chipotle. Location is good but it seems to get crowded a lot (darn high schoolers nearby...).

  • Dee B.

The food is good (as at any Chipotle), but the restaurant is small, so it doesn't have regular 2 or 4-person tables. I sat at the window, and it's clearly not meant for anyone over about 5ft8. Although I'm tall, I've never been a fan of the high bar-style seating, but there's plenty of that here. I'd never considered Chipotle to be a particularly romantic restaurant, but a couple in their 30s disagreed - they were making out like some crazy hormone-riddled teenagers. So, overall, a somewhat strange experience, thus this location is probably best for take out.

This location is garbage. It's walking distance from my job but I drive to the one in Wheaton Mall or Aspen Hill instead. Small portions and poor service. Sold me a salad with a bug in it. I know things happen but why offer me another salad with the same bug-contaminated lettuce? I'll take a refund please.

I've grabbed food from many different Chipotles, but this location seems to stand out in taste for some reason. My usual order is the burrito bol with extra white cilantro rice, a small amount of black beans, fajita vegetables, chicken or steak, pico de gallo, corn salsa, and lettuce accompanied by chips and guacamole. Also, the steak is cooked with some some pink left in the center unlike other locations which are usually grey, overcooked, and dry.

I can walk here, I can drive like 2 minutes to here, this place is super close to me. I Love it, finally Kensington added a nice gem in a small town. Great Service and Friendly Staff. I don't know if it's just me but the food always seems fresher than other Chipotles. They handle the long lines really quick, they work as a team and no issues. I am a fan, I don't know what previous comments about staff having an attitude. No burrito monster or guacamole blob giving me attitude here yet.

  • Sandy P.

The customer service at this place needs improvement....most of the employees always seem to have an attitude and some like to talk about customers in Spanish....especially customers like my self who do not look like they speak Spanish.

Pretty good Chipotle, but the layout of the joint kind of sucks. Weird tables in the middle and a lack of seating in chairs. Nonetheless, you pay for what you get and I thoroughly enjoyed my 2000 calorie burrito.

A good Chipotle to go to. It's super close to my gym and is usually my after gym dinner choice when I'm running low on time to cook. The line can be really long, but with a mobile app available. I barely wait in line anymore. The service is decent. But the food is good. Food is standard and consistent to other locations. They actually have a few heavy handers in the meat and salsa department. I don't complain about that at all - absolutely love it. Parking can be a pain when it's packed. I normally park in the back and just walk just to avoid driving around and getting stuck behind slow drivers that can't park.

Chipotle is Chioptle! This location gives you exactly the delicious food and great service you'd expect from any Chipotle. I've been here a few times, and it is consistently fantastic. Yummy burrito bol with some spicy barbacoa and some fresh chips. You can't go wrong!

Went to Kensington Hardware for a project and decided to pick up a couple of burrito bowls from Chipotle's. Not a huge fan of fast food but this is pretty darn good. Got there first thing in the morning and the help was so friendly!

I like Chipotle because the food is fresh and reasonably priced. Although, the customer service at this location is awful. I have eaten here several times and it is always the same. The people who work here are so unhappy and over their jobs. If you want attitude with your burrito, eat here.

I've never met a Chipotle's that I didn't like. I'm officially addicted so imagine my surprise when I found that there was a location practically down the street from my house! I prefer this location to the one down town Silver Spring because I don't have to fight crowds and parking during busy hours. Great prices for what is practically a full meal and the ingredients are fresh too!

Like walking into a dance club! I love Chipotle's food and the restaurants are always extra loud, but this is beyond the pale. It was so loud that during each step of the way in terms of choosing options, they got it wrong every at every step. They couldn't hear me! I couldn't hear myself think! What is with a company that serves healthy, conscious food but has not a clue as to how to create a slightly more inviting atmosphere than to burst your eardrums?!

I went for lunch on grand opening day. It's a smaller version of a typical Chipotle. It was very busy and your typical Chipotle--assembly line, decent food. The main reason this place (and all Chipotles of which I know) only get three stars is their shocking lack of spoons. Get with the program, people. Once you get about halfway through a burrito bowl a spoon is the only way to get all the goodness IN MAH BELLY. GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME CHIPOTLE.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
