Denny's restaurants overall are pretty much crap but at 3:00 in the morning (after stumbling back to the hotel on a foodless, booze-filled belly) we needed something to nosh on. Enter Denny's. The food was kind of terrible. The service barely there. The price was alright. The environment... holy monkey-balls. We got there and had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table. Whatev. The patrons were pretty much all drunk, rowdy, and LOUD! There was a lot of different representation and advertisement noticeable - if you get my meaning. Honestly, I was concerned that bullets could have gone flying at any given moment, and I don't scare too easily. It was almost reassuring to see a police officer posted by the door, except for the fact that she was alone and looked like she was ready to fall asleep. Anyhow, this is the place to go on a Friday or Saturday night if you are willing to put your life on the line for shitty service, terrible food, and a damn interesting show of characters. Just avoid wearing much blue or red.

Good - Quick service and Military Discount Bad - just feels icky and filthy eating here The food came out fairly quick for our breakfast. The server was courteous and always checked up on us. The menus and table needs to be wiped/cleaned better. I hate grabbing a greasy menu!

I guess I should just stick to their breakfast items on the menu. Every time I try something else I am not really pleased with it. Overall, it's pretty decent. Good service, fast and prompt. Thanks for reading my review. This is based on my personal experience.

The food was typical for Denny's. However, we we in at around 9pm and it was pretty busy. They had 1 server taking care of 8-9 tables. There service was horrible. The server did the best he could considering he had over 8 tables. There were at least 4 other servers in the restaurant that were standing around and cleaning the back area. The manager and the other servers obviously did not care about the lack of customer service nor did they bother to help the one server who was actually working.

Terrible....... Ordered my kids before 2mins after we sat down.. For my son I ordered a simple cheeseburger with fries, my daughter wanted chicken nuggets with a salad. Then we ordered drinks while my husband and I looked over the menu. 10mins later we asked for the waitress, she came I ordered the prime rib Cobb salad my husband order the Turkey melt. 20 mins later just before we were about to walk our food came.....kids food came the same time as ours even though I told her to bring it out as soon as possible plus we ordered way before we ordered ours. The nuggets, overlooked and cold, cheeseburger was smh ugh, I can't even explain how disappointed this place was. HOW DO YOU MESS UP A SALAD???? I ended up walking out with my kids, Burger King would've done a better job. Can't believe it. Headed somewhere else with starving kids.

A-OK. Solid 3 star! Denny's is a good restaurant in general After hanging out with friends at Dave&Busters in Arundel Mills Mall till closing! we wanted to get some food, Where else would have been Open at mid-night! Of course DENNY'S!!! This restaurant is cleaner compare to other Dennys' I have ever been to... Our food arrived quick and hot! The waitress was nice and refilling our drinks quickly! They have a big sign right above the cash register say " IF A MANAGER DIDN'T COME TO YOUR TABLE DURING YOUR VISIT PLEASE CALL (***) ***-**** " But no manager except the waitress came to our table, They prob had no shift manager after mid-night! ; -(

The place is clean, the food came out fast, the waitress was friendly and attentive. The manager was also on the dining room floor checking in customers and helping the staff. The wait staff was definitely veteran and all seemed to get along well. The location was good. It's adjacent a couple of hotels... Not too far from a large mall and casino. Parking was adequate. Pancakes seemed like they were microwaved and the toast had too much butter but everything else was good. Some of the staff had a little difficulty communicating with the kitchen due to a language barrier. I will come back with coworkers either before or after a long shift.

I was in that area with a hungry six-year-old boy at about 10:30 AM, which means that a lot of restaurants weren't yet open. Since I didn't want straight-up fast food, Denny's seemed like a good, economical choice. It wasn't particularly good, and I felt ripped-off by what I paid. Although the restaurant wasn't empty, it was far from full. There were far more unbussed dirty tables than occupied tables. The dining area is carpeted and the carpet is gross. The line area that is visible from the entry (drink station and such) seemed reasonably clean. After we were seated, I moved the ketchup/seasonings/jelly thing at our table and discovered that they don't clean under that. We had to wait to be seated (while a server took over-the-phone orders in front of us) despite it seeming not busy. Finally we were seated at a table in a back corner and the server appeared fairly promptly. He mumbled pleasantly at us; I'm not entirely sure what he said at any given time during our visit, but he was fairly prompt with the coffee (for me) and apple juice (for the boy). Our orders were fairly un-remarkable, consisting of breakfast foods (eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fruit). It took almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Given that it took that long, you would think that the bacon would be cooked fairly well; it was floppy. And we're not talking about thick-cut bacon, either; this was barely thicker than a piece of cardstock. The hashbrowns had a few areas that were crispy, but they were mostly just warm, raw potato. The sausage links *were* cooked well, and the fruit was fresh and nice. My son ate his fruit, scrambled egg, and sausage links. Then he ate my sausage links and some hash browns, and then asked for a hamburger. We decided that would take entirely too long. The check came to just under $17 for coffee, apple juice, an adult two-egg breakfast (no breads or pancakes), and a child one-egg breakfast. We could have been better off at Chick-Fil-A. As a matter of fact, on our way home from Denny's we hit the Chick-Fil-A drive through to pick up a "snack" (of 16 nuggets) for the still-hungry boy. He has asked me several times today why we went to such a slow, bad restaurant.

So I woke up at 10:15 am, and really wanted to take the family to breakfast. We hopped in the car with all intentions of going to golden corral, but when I realized it was 10:49 and breakfast was almost over. We then decided on Denny's. When we got to Denny's there was a pretty decent crowd of people. However the wait was only 5 minutes so I was actually impressed. We sat down ordered for the kids and the took our time checking out the menu. The waitress came and got our drinks, and everything was going well. I ordered the meat lovers omelet and a side of pancakes, and my lady love ordered one of the fantastic 4 meals (basically a bacon omelet). The kids food comes (minus the drinks), and the adult drinks were refilled. Still everything is going smooth. Meanwhile the place is filling up even more. The kids drinks and some of our food comes to the table. My ladies meal, and my omelet (minus the pancakes, which the waitress said would be coming shortly). We started eating and after 2 bites my lady goes "ummm, theres no meat in here", and theres a pile of cooked onions on my hash browns. Im like "onions in your hash browns?" Her: No, on my hash browns, literally on top of. So we explain the situation to the waitress, and she says she'll let the manager know. At this point we have a semi impatient 2 year old, and so she chose not to replace the food because of the time it would take to replace it. Also it should've been correct seeing as how the waitress wrote it down, and repeated it and all. So back to eating I go, pretty much at the end of my meal when I Realize. Didn't I order pancakes? I sure enough did didn't I? So when the waitress comes back I reminded her, and she went right over and got them. Which means they had been sitting in that window for who knows how long. At least 20 minutes from the time my food came until the time I asked her. With a five minute courtesy, because she did say they'd be out shortly after my food came. Okay, So when we finally finished and were ready to leave. We were directed to the manager at the cash register by the waitress. We again explained our situation of how the order was wrong, and about the pile of onions. The manager explains to us that all the hash browns come like that, and that there was nothing wrong with the hash browns. Meanwhile my hash browns had no such thing, so either way someones was wrong. I pointed out to her that onions do come on them upon request but thats extra, and not typically how they are served. The true issue at hand anyway was the entree, which didn't have the onions it was supposed to have in it, nor did it have an meat in it. I didn't mention that it took over 20 minutes to get 2 pancakes, and that the kids drinks were forgotten with there meals, and that we had to remind the waitress of everything every step of the way. We didn't do that. We just didn't want to be charged for something we didn't order. A discount and a apology would have sufficed, but we were given excuses. In the end she removed the meal from the bill, and we paid and left. I'm pretty sure we won't be returning to this Denny's again. I would like to state that The waitress didn't do a bad job. She was actually nice through the whole experience and though she had maybe a small slip up or two, she got burned by the cooks in the back not being able to keep up, and messing up orders. I can't fault her for lack of staffing or inexperienced staff.

I really like Denny's but I had a disappointing visit here last time. The server was very friendly and the food was okay. My main issue was the cleanliness of the restaurant, it smelled like puke :/ it was hard to stay and eat my food. And I ordered the Wonder Woman special and I didn't care for the orange sauce on the pancakes.

If you need a 24/7 place to eat in the area, there are virtually no other options....Denny's it is. Having said that, you'll probably know in advance what type of food this diner serves. For Denny's, this location is good. The food is usually fairly quick in arriving. The servers are friendly, and seemingly very experienced at their craft. The slower staff members appear to be assigned the role of host or cashier... Be warned at checkout. All in all, I give it a four star rating instead of five only because they scrimp on condiments and including napkins, frequently giving diners cocktail napkins after the original silverware accompaniment. It's an odd complaint, I know...but the little things count. Also because cashing out can be a challenge.

Denny's is open 24 hours, with this said it has always been the go-to place before drinking, during drinking (for some) and the cure-all for the day after hangover. Yes, it does look like the rundown s***** place in which a bunch of poor people eat (even sleep) or even the regular neighborhood drunks (or druggies). However, DENNY'S IS AWESOME. You can't go wrong here, ever. From their banana pecan pancake breakfast, fit fare skillet, fit slam, santa fe skillet, blueberry pancake breakfast, zesty nachos, and if you really want to be bad: smothered cheese fries. Can't forget their amazing $2, $4, $6 and $8 Dollar menu! The best ones are $2 quesadilla, $2 stack of pancakes, $2 original pancake puppies sundae, $6 French toast breakfast, and $8 chicken loaded potato skillet. Fun facts on Denny's: 1. The first Denny's was an actual donut shop in Lakewood, California, called Danny's donuts which then changed into a coffee shop! 2. You can get married at the Denny's in Las Vegas, Nevada and your cake is made out of pancakes. 3. Every year they serve around two million FREE Grand Slams the Tuesday after the Super Bowl. 4. They have over 1,700 restaurants worldwide and 25 of them are in Maryland alone. **Free grand slam on your birthday! Must show ID!

This place is better than IHOP if you want a good, quick, solid brunch. Even late at night. The plate was filled with good, piping hot food and the pancake platter actually looked like the pictures. The endless pancakes for $4 is a great deal. I might actually go there again...! The waiter let us go up one by one to pay separately at the counter, which worked fine.

It's Dennys, so you pretty much know what to expect. It was one of the few places open on xmas day, so we headed there for dinner after seeing a movie at the mall. The place was hopping, but we were able to get a booth right away. Unfortunately, they were still handing out a special seasonal menu, even though they were actually out of most of the special items (the server said that a new menu was coming in a week or so). I think I had an omelette, which tasted like a Denny's omelette. They don't really go beyond salt when seasoning a dish, so it's pretty average food, but certainly filling (of my stomach as well as arteries). Service was fine, and the bathrooms were clean, which is a plus.

Very disappointed. Came in with family from out of town, party of 12. Took 20 minutes for our drinks to make it to the tables, 10 coffees & 2 OJs. Seems our original server, Raven, had some 'personal meltdown' & no one was able to find her. We were finally given a new server to come & take our orders, 40 minutes after being seated. She gave an apology for having to take over, but seemed disgusted the whole time she waited on us. Four other full tables were all seated & had their food before our orders were even taken. When we were paying, I tried talking with the male manager (don't recall his name) & find out why we had such a delay, he seemed he could care less. Every single one of us, an hour later, had bubble guts & needed to pay the toilet a visit.

There is a server here who has the exact same mannerisms as Captain Jack Sparrow. I'm not sure if she was drunk, a meth addict, or just flat out insane, but she certainly served pancakes and coffee with flair. Arms a' flailing, dramatic turns and almost a bit of a contortionist. We stopped in for a quick bite around 5:00pm thinking we were going to avoid the cray-cray's that come out at night! Fail! We were seated next to a table of them. Hell we were served by one too! The food was lackluster, but again, it's Denny's. I ordered a grilled chicken skillet expecting grilled chicken, taters, and a bit of cheese. What I got was chucks of chicken (perhaps from a can) a mountain of taters, and this interesting cheese sauce mess. It was some serious comfort food, but something I would have never ordered if I knew I was getting a skillet of cheese wiz taters. The crowd was diverse. I would have loved to sit there and watch the insanity around us, but unfortunately, I had two 10 year olds with me and the table of teens and 20 something dropping one F bomb after another was a little concerning.

Service is over all slow and unorganized. Since the tables are located along the kitchen we could hear the waitresses and manager yelling into the kitchen and bickering over orders. The egg white omelette was terrible the eggs were burnt and smelled rotten. The only reason ever go here again is after the bar when Cracker Barrel is closed.

When we arrived, we were not greeted. We were simply told to hold on. The girl who seated us was nice, however, we waited fifteen minutes and no one came to even take a drink order. We got up to leave, I was expecting to be stopped by employees with apologies and such. Nope. I'm certain no one noticed. I am highly disappointed because I was looking forward to dinning there tonight, I love your food. There didn't seem to be enough staff. The tables were sticky and there were tables that needed cleaning.

Everyone already knows that Denny's is Denny's. One thing that you can count on is that this establishment is always there to purge that late night craving after a night out. Seriously, if folks can eat dried out pizza from the pizza stands, knowing its been sitting for god knows how long, I think I can sit down at this place and gamble my odds favorably that I am going to like this a whole lot better.

Denny's has always been a favorite of mine, ever since my early college years when a bunch of us would stay up all night, drinking coffee, shooting the breeze, and just plain being layabouts. When you go into a Denny's it's not necessarily for the atmosphere or service, it's because you want cheap, decent food and a place to relax. Now, this particular Denny's I've been to a number of times and it hasn't really disappointed. It's not my favorite Denny's, but it's the closest one since I'd long since moved. Some of the servers here are top-notch, while others are a bit slow. The food is usually good, although occasionally they might overcook a piece here or there. This place is just your typical Denny's with nothing to set it apart. That's why I give it 3-stars instead of the usual 4 I give to places I regularly visit. Still, we continue to visit because, every now and then, my wife and I just look at each other and say, "Denny's?"

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that is why we go to Denny's. Even it's past morning time, we order breakfast. Denny's is my grand slam and for under $10 menu, it's truly is gold mine. The staffs do their thing and the manager was really attentive. You should not miss that Denny's offers variety of food. I want eat them all, but it is impossible to do everything in one seating so we are regular of this Denny's.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I got there around noon, half way empty. And it took us 15min to get a server, a family by us had been there longer and hadn't even got a server. I asked for sausage instead of bacon and when our food came, it was bacon. I asked for a waffle, and it came out like a pancake, soggy and deformed. The iced coffee is horrible! And my bf had a hair in his fires. This family by us asked for vegetarian and got meat, so when they sent the food back all they did was remove the meat. So the manager was called and only then did they remake there order. Over all horrible experience

5 star rating based on the service that i received from a wonderful waitress. Her name was Pleasant, she gave my family and myself a wonderful experience. Walking in on a Sunday morning I thought would be a horrible idea. It wasn't packed at all and no line waiting for a table. So I was naturally curious as to why my family of 3 still waited 10mins to be seated. A lady said she would seat us, but there were 3-5 waitresses leaning against the soda fountain talking. We were seated and greeted soon after. Ordered drinks and food and then waited. The food came out, and was highly disappointed. My entree came with 1 piece of sausage so sad and little, I wondered how much effort went into making sausage that small. My plate was cold to the touch, and my food was not even at room temperature. Our waitress must of not been trained in asking if we wanted refills because none we're provided until we asked numerous times. Overall, between dennys being underwhelming, and the New Ihop in Jessup being just as atrocious, this area is DYING for a legitimate breakfast food restaurant. Or for these two "establishments" to get their shit together.

Denny's always has a good menu and no matter the time of day, Denny's wil have something to satisfy your craving. Menu Tip ... look on the back of the menu at the $2, $4, $6 and $8 dollar meals. Better than then from the main menu. The only down-side to the Hanover Denny's is the Hostess/Cashier stand. Everyone mans it yet no one really knows who's in line and who's paying. It's always a major traffic jam.

Solid Denny's. Process to get a table was not straight forward, but once that was cleared up, everything was solid for being a busy Sunday afternoon.

Our 1st impression of breakfast at Denny's was a server on break lying back on a bench at the front entrance smoking and listening to music on his headphones. My boyfriend and I walked through a puff of smoke as we entered the building. A real turn-off. We immediately notified the manager. Her response was that employees are supposed to smoke out back. She did not approach him about this as we saw him walk around the back of the building and then on the floor serving other tables. Our meal took at least 30 minutes to arrive. My boyfriend ordered a T-bone steak. It arrived cold and we asked for it to be taken off the check. The server apologized and said, "Yeah, the kitchen is really messing up today". All I expect from breakfast at Denny's is basic breakfast food served in a timely manner and a smile. They did not deliver on this at all.

Shut this place down! So unorganized I've been here for 40 minutes and still haven't received my food.

I woke up craving Denny's nachos so gave in and went to this location to satisfy my stomach. Service was great and the manager even stopped by our table (and others I noticed) and made sure everything was to our liking. I also noticed one waiter was very enthusiastic and friendly with the tables around ours and thought it was nice to see someone who enjoys their job that much. I have a small stomach so I got the half order and I must admit it wasn't the best order of their nachos that I've had. The cheese seemed a little off with the consistency being rather goopy instead of the standard melted stretches when you pick up a nacho cheese. Also the meat topping flavor seemed a little off. The waitress brought the sour cream in a side dish which I can't recall ever having at other locations and I thought this was a nicer touch then just a dallop on top since they never seem to give enough sour cream. As always, I got a vanilla coke to drink and it was superb! If I was to visit this location again, I would probably skip the nachos for something else but I would still get a vanilla coke.

Why did we go to Denny's last night? Julian had already cooked chicken, and I had veggies in the microwave. The food was ready to be eaten, but as we sat on the couch, Jeannine and I started going over what junk food we ate during the day. I had a Reese's of course, and she had some other crap food I can't remember. The point is, our conversation steered to chili cheese fries. They don't really have any here in this area, so we started talking about Friendly's for some reason. Suddenly, Jeannine was like "We should go to Friendly's!" but I looked it up and it was closed because it was 10:30 PM already! We tried to think of somewhere else to go, so Denny's came up! Thus began our latest Denny's adventure... Every time we go here, our server brings us like three different menus, and one of them is always the "new items," which I guess are still new even after a year of seeing them. I will admit, the potachos are pretty amazing, as are the nachos covered in every ingredient they have in the back. I can't remember what the nacho thing is actually called, but I'm not kidding, this dish has hamburger, ketchup, cheese, and ice cream on it. Well, maybe not ice cream. They have a dessert like that, with fried nacho things that look like nachos but aren't nachos, covered in ice cream and fruits. I haven't tried it yet but I will soon. There is one reason I like this Denny's more than any other late night spot, and that is of course the service. I've had Jessica as a server twice, and she is why I will always return to this place. She always has a smile on her face and I feel like she is hosting us at her home rather than a chain restaurant patronized by drunkards and the obese (depending on the time of day). One time, a lady kept sending back her grilled cheese because it wasn't 'done enough.' Jessica always returned with the plate sporting a smile on her face and a pep in her step, even after the third rejection and the lady calling her a bitch. I don't know many people who would be genuinely nice after that, but I do know one person: Jessica.

Service a bit slow waited almost 30 min even empty tables to get seated. It also took over 30 min for the breakfast to come and they were not that busy.

Well, it's been a few years since I went to Denny's, but Christmas Eve morning me, the boy, and the old grumpy grandpa had some food shopping to do over at the Safeway in Arundel Mills. So, we got up bright and early and hit Denny's for breakfast. First of all, the place was a lot cleaner than the last time I went there, which was nice. It was all gussied up for Christmas, too. Our waitress was on-the-spot and friendly, and made coffee appear quickly. I always, for some reason, get Moons Over My Hammy at Denny's; morning, noon, or night. How can you go wrong with ham, swiss, and eggs on sourdough? It was as good, and as bad, as I remember from last time. The only breakfast food that leaves me feeling that strange mixture of better and worse is a Monte Cristo. They've heavily revamped the kids menu -- the boy got "Alien Pancakes" which were pretty cool, especially if you're 6. The Old Guy got a country fried steak, which "wasn't bad". Prices are very reasonable at Denny's, this hasn't changed in years. It's at least a choice if you happen to be in the Arundel Mills area for breakfast and don't feel like bellying up to the egg trough at Golden Corral or paying $9 for a cup of coffee and a roll at Panera. So hey, it's a Denny's, but this one seems to have it all together. It may have to do with the fact that they tend to service the hotel/traveler crowd at this location.

In the world of cheap, greasy, diner world food, this particular Denny's is awesome. It's pretty clean; newer so it's not as beat up; and there usually isn't a wait at night. Some of the servers are a bit slow; but there are also some really quick ones that twitch a little bit. Overall, if you want a greasy cheap meal, this is the place to go!
