RECOMMENDED!!! THEY HAVE MOVED!! OUT BY OUTLETS DOWN ON OAK RIDGE RD ROAD: I am from Cumberland so it is hard to take down a D'Atris Sub. I went with the cheesesteak, for obvious reasons. I was recommended by my pal, Buzz; so I called ahead and the owner took my order (didn't know at the time) and gave me directions to store. It isn't in the best location in terms of visibility but the food is why they stay busy. FOOD: Cheesesteak was very good. Bread was fresh, lettuce was done very fresh, and everything was done WHILE I STOOD THERE, not pre-made. To make suggestions, and just being picky - the steak was chopped up more than what I would like, but still seasoned very well. Wish there was more- only one size sub! EXPERIENCE: Owner was a very polite man not only on the phone but in person. There is a sitting area that is clean, also some tables outside for outdoor dining as well. MISC: Would've liked to order a large instead of a 7-8inch sub. But once again, I'm picky.. and starved.

Italian sub 7/10 was ok not worth 8.25 bread was great toppings were too but it was missing oil and vinegar imo very dry. Wings 7.5/10 $6 and change for 6 wings meh, ok if they are fantastic, but they weren't. The sauce was great the blue cheese(housemade) was really awesome to say the least, but the wings were previously frozen (bones were black) and a little tough for my liking so I won't be going back Service was good. 9/10 only reason I'm taking a point away is because the soda machine was broke. The owner who, even back in the day I thought ran a good ship was polite as always and brought my food to me at the table

Like to try all the local subs shops so this was the first time I'd eaten at Turtle's. It's in a nice little strip mall on Oak Ridge Drive. The gentleman who took my order, the owner I believe, was very soft spoken and polite. I ordered a steak sub for my wife and an Italian for myself. I didn't call my order in because they don't have a website and I couldn't find a menu online anywhere so I had to wait a few minutes for my order. The shop is smallish, very plain but very clean with several TVs. The steak sub was very good - my wife didn't order much on it but the meat was tasty, not gristley at all and the sub roll was fantastic. The Italian was delicious. Not sure what brand of deli meat they use but it was very good, the same great sub roll, the "seasoned lettuce" was good and the best thing about the sub was the sweet peppers, they were amazing. The reason I took off a star is because the subs are rather small for what you pay. I think the steak sub was $8.25 and it was about 2/3 the size of just about every other local sub shop's sandwich size. The menu showed that you could only order one size sandwich so there was no option for half or whole like most places. The Italian was also super messy. I tried to mash all the toppings down into the sub but as I was eating, all the toppings kept falling off. The plastic container the sub came in was packed with a fork but I wanted everything on the sub, I didn't want to eat all the toppings like a salad after I finished my sandwich. Overall, everything was delicious and I will definitely eat here again. Thumbs up for Turtle's.

Love turtles subs! I remember going here as a kid and it's still just as good, the seasoned lettuce is amazing.. And the owner makes his own blue cheese for their wings which is amazing.. I def recommend this place!

WOW!!! Was not expecting this place to ROCK....but it totally does. The food is wonderful and so is the service. I had the Italian Hoagie and my spouse had the Cheese Steak. Both sandwiches were excellent. They have the best hoagies of anywhere I have been- better than the ones I use to get in Philly even. The bread they use is fantastic. Soft but doesn't fall apart. The tomatoes tasted local.

The Italian sub is really good. It's the most popular item on the menu for a reason!

Wow. There is a definite wow-factor in every bite of a Turtle's sub. I decided to enjoy a sub at Turtles over Sheetz on a whim and I am never looking back. Although their price point is around $7 for a large sub, you should treat yourself here as much as you can. The light dressing they put on their turkey sub makes it sing. Also, I can taste how fresh their veggies are on their sub. Plenty of seating with a clean, casual atmosphere. The customer service was incredible as well. Only three people were working, I think, so they take their time, but they are efficient. Turtles Subs is well worth the wait.
