I am the biggest sucker in the world for chain restaurants. Maybe it's getting overcharged in DC for fancy food in small portions, but when I get out of DC I always try to hit up chain steakhouses. $9.99 for a 6oz sirloin cooked to perfection, a fresh and crispy salad, and a baked sweet potato covered in brown sugar, cinnamon butter, and toasted marshmallows? I'm in HEAVEN. Endless hot buttery rolls with even sweeter cinnamon butter almost put me in a coma. (and I would have been okay with that.) If you sign up for the email list you get a coupon for a free app. We got the tater skins which were crispy, cheese, bacon delights! There were 8 total but I tapped out after two. Needless to say there were tons of leftovers. We got there at 4:30pm on a Friday night. We were seated right away, but it was getting busy. By the time we left (around 6) there was a line out the door! And speaking of lines, most of the waitresses lined up right a 5:30pm to do a line dance! I've been to several Texas Roadhouses but have never seen that! Great service, great food, great price. I can't ask for more. Except maybe more rolls to go (which they gladly supplied)

Always great! My husband and I like to sit at the bar and chat with the bartenders. They are so welcoming, funny and always on point.

Shared a ft worth ribeye 16oz with my hubby~ asked for medium. Great portion and love the bread with cinnamon butter! So irresistible!

Got seated took forever for our servers go we actually never ended up seeing which might be a good thing the five star rating is because we ended up getting Darren who happened to walk over to a section that was not his and see us waiting he was the only employee I seen with a smile he was fast and friendly this guy is what makes a place worth going too I got the 16 ounce prime rib it was very tender and barely any fat.

Horrible experience at this particular location. Love every other Roadhouse we've ever been to. We waited about 15 minutes before we were even asked for our drink order. (Place was not busy whatsoever!) We finally received our food 55 minutes after sitting down. 2 steaks ordered medium & 2 steaks ordered medium well. Came out well burnt! All 4 steaks! One person in our party ordered beer. First bottle, warm. He gave it another shot with bottle two. Warmer yet! If the place had been busier, maybe we could've understood the poor experience.

This place is not bad at all! Their steak was far better then their chicken. I would be back any time.

The steak was OK but my own meal, the southern fried chicken with white sauce was almost too salty to eat. We believe that it was in the sauce. The rolls and the salads were ample and tasty with a good selection of what tasted like homemade dressings. We ordered draft beer and were surprised at the lack of brands and the fact that they had no locally brewed beers available on tap. The noise of the country music was too load to carry on a decent conversation. The waitress was friendly and very efficient and attentive to our needs so we gave her a good tip.

Got carryout. OK, I gotta admit it was my first visit to a Texas Roadhouse. Ribs were dry and not, as advertised, fall off the bone. Pulled pork (on a sandwich) was also dry. Sure, I guess I could sauce up those meats. My BBQ chain comparison is Famous Daves and this place feel way, way short. Rice, as a side, though, was tasty. A bit spicy.

Melted plastic wrap on the chicken? No thanks. Ants on the table?? Nah. Waitress was super nice. Food not so much. Not much else in the area but avoid it if you can.

This is the worst place I have ever been. It took over 50 minutes for us to get our food. She forgot to ring in our order. How do you forget to ring in someone's order? That's your job!!!! The waitress was rude and did not even get us more drinks for 15 minutes. The service was very poor and we are very displeased with this restaurant. I am NEVER coming back to this Texas Roadhouse, I will be going to the one in Fredrick. Horrible!!

I've been to many TXR locations and have always had an excellent meal and very friendly service. Same goes for this location and I try to make a stop here anytime I'm passing through on the way to DC. The fried pickles are quite tasty without being overly greasy and the seasoning gives them more flavor than your average place. The steak with mushrooms/onions is quite tender and tasty. The loaded baked potato and green beans are quality sides. The rolls have to be tried to be fully appreciated but my wife has been mortified in the past by my consumption level at a single siting. There was a snafu with my wife's steak being initially undercooked but they immediately took care of it and no big deal. I'm not usually a big chain restaurant guy but you've gotta try this place.

We stopped at this Texas Roadhouse on the way home from VA. The food was middle of the road for BBQ. It would be great if there were extra BBQ sauces to add for a zestier or smokier flavor to your meal selection. The complementary bread and the peanuts are a nice touch. The service was sub-par, but that could have been due to it being a Sunday night and there was a decent crowd there watching the game. Bottom Line: I would not go out of my way to dine at this establishment, and in all honesty if I happen to be in the area I will try something else.

This is our "go to" restaurant. The food is consistently good. We like the steaks and they are always cooked to perfection. The salads are awesome - very fresh. The waitstaff is friendly and very efficient. They offer call ahead seating - definitely a must on the weekends.

To be honest it was better than I expected as I ended up here for Fathers Day as it is a midway point between me in DC and my parents in PA. The house salad was pretty standard and meh. I got the bone in ribeye which was good and flavorful but maybe a bit on the salty side but cooked how I ordered and like it medium rare more towards rare side. The baked potato loaded with butter, sour cream and cheese was better than expected. My parents like their baked sweet potato. I thought the apple pie dessert was way too sweet. The waitress we had was very good and it was a busy day since Father's Day. So we had really good service. I definitely have leftovers that will make another meal for me.

The waitresses at this particular location are horrid. I would recommend going to the Texas Roadhouse in Frederick.

Nice quality food at an affordable price. If you've been to one, you know what to expect. The rolls are heavenly and our main draw! I like the selection of side items, too. We've always been seated quickly even when the parking lot is packed. One of the nicer restaurants in that immediate area.

This place was awesome.... I wish we had this chain in NYC. After a 13.1 mile run with 21 military obstacles called The Tough Mudder in West VA. My A$$ was huuuuuuuungry..... Hungry is not the word....... So on my way back to NY my cousin said, I would like to eat some good ribs.... So I decided to search ribs on yelp.... Texas Roadhouse came up with almost 5 stars.... So there we went.... I am so happy my fellow yelpers were right.....Delicious...... Lets start w the hot buttery rolls w butter/french vanilla butter-something like that.... Those rolls were so so good. I had the rib eye steak w peppercorn sauce with their award winning ribs...... Dayum that steak hit the spot... And the side of green beans was so good it left my mouth wanting more... Texas Roadhouse thanks for the hospitality.....and great service.

I would say that they are consistent, which is important to me in a restaurant! The homemade dressings are always great, especially the ranch and honey mustard. We usually get the Chicken Critter Salad, but it is a little pricy for the lack of chicken. Otherwise, lettuce and eggs on the salad are always fresh.

I think Texas Roadhouse is my favorite place to eat. It is a busy restaurant but definitely worth it if there is a wait. The food is outstanding but the wait staff is always the star of the show. We come here a lot and Nikki was probably one of the best waitresses I have ever had anywhere. The food is always hot and fresh. You will not be disappointed!

We are not normally fans of big chain restaurants, but Texas Roadhouse is one of the better places in town for steak. Love the peanuts on the floor, never have had a bad steak here, sides are great, and they have a nice bar in the middle of the restaurant. Servers are well-trained, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful. We've never a bad experience dining here. Highly recommend Texas Roadhouse! BEWARE- this place is very, very busy and there is always a wait, sometimes up to an hour, on Thurs-Saturday. They don't open during the week until 4pm. Weekends do include lunch, though, starting at noon. Great place for families with children. What's cool about this place is that it is very casual, noisy but in a good way, and it's very "western" with it's decor and the whole attitude of the staff. Very different from other steakhouses in the area. Not the place for a business meeting. It's the kind of place where you want to hear country music, throw back some beers, and enjoy a "honky-tonk" environment. Definitely worth checking out! Have fun eating peanuts out of buckets and tossing the shells on the floor! I recommend the Dallas filet, the loaded baked potato, mashed potatoes, and the chili. All very, very good.

Been here a few times and each time was dissapointing. The catfish tastes frozen from the freezer. Pretty much not fresh. The steak wasn't better than the neighborhood bar and grill. The Caesar salad was less than great, appeared premade. I love Texas Roadhouse, but not this one. Oh, the greeters and waitresses always seem distracted and mess up orders! Smh....

Texas Roadhouse is a GREAT place to get a great steak, that's for sure! Wait time: 55 mins We then had to wait an additional 10-15 mins for our server to COME TO OUR TABLE, and an additional 10 mins just to get our drinks... I started out with the Jamaican Margarita, which was pretty good! Appetizer: Rattlesnake bites (jalapeno poppers)- Good! But could have had more 'bite' to them. Their horseradish sauce was a little too sweet for my taste and needed more zest, but still not bad. Main Course: 8 oz sirloin, cooked medium rare with Cesar salad and sweet potato. My steak was perfect. The Cesar salad was REALLY good. My sweet potato was topped with home made caramel, which was also really good. Two other people in my party ordered the country fried STEAK. Our server brought them out country fried chicken, which was decent but kind of pasty and starchy tasting. She messed up their order and after driving an hour to the restaurant, to order what you want, and then getting something completely different, you would be a bit annoyed... The mashed potatoes were good! The mac and cheese was kraft and not very good. You would think they would have home made mac n cheese at a steak house... We were disappointed. The server apologized and the manager comped our bill for the 2 meals, since it wasn't what was initially ordered. Over all, our service was decent and the food was great! The manager was also very kind and helpful. I would not ask for the server that I had last time though... Not pleased.

02 May 2013 7:00 PM Accessibility: Depending on the parking you may have to look for a spot. But tonight lots of parking and actually when we got there, we were immediately greeted and seated. Atmosphere: This is Texas Roadhouse. And while this is a restaurant chain, this one has recently had some changes. I am not sure if the Managing Partner indeed did make changes but there is definitely a positive energy in the air. From the time we entered till the time we left, the atmosphere was very cheerful, all smiling and it just seemed like tonight the staff was extra happy. Definitely 5 Stars. Customer Service: So with that - the service upon entering really was great. As soon as you entered - we were addressed. This really has gotten better over the last few times. But the best part of our Customer Service experience was our Waitress - Angi! She is a real pistol! Sharp, quick and very friendly. What made her better than other waitresses, is that my Husband ordered a salad without Tomatoes. He cannot eat them. But we were so busy talking to her we forgot to ask for his Hamburger without tomatoes. The really nice thing is she remembered about that and took them off the Hamburger as well. Many people may not have liked that, but I appreciate people who think for themselves and can put two and two together. She said she would have put them on the side and we said no thank you and that we appreciated it! Still do! So thank you Angi for not only just that nice touch but also for really really the best Service!! 5 Stars for Angi!!! Menu: Peanuts: As always. Nice and fresh! Lots of them too. Rolls: The rolls were warm and glazed with the honey butter. They give you plenty also if you take out. Which is nice because we have noticed other restaurants are giving less rolls ( the dollar does not go as far). Salads - Ice cold plates. I just love that! Crisp cold lettuce, with all the trimmings and I must admit it - plenty of salad and plenty of salad dressing. Another plus today! They are not skimping where other restaurants are! We ordered: first the - Smoky Cheeseburger Hamburger. My Husband loved it! Filled with BBQ sauce, Tons of Monterey Jack and American cheese, huge Mushrooms, a hint of onions and tons of steak fries.Definitely a good Hamburger in my Husbands Eyes. If you love a smoky BBQ sauced Hamburger this one is 5 Stars. I ordered my favorite. A 10 Oz Ribeye-pink center, veggies and the salad. Again salad awesome! The veggies were actually very good. No extra pepper which is a good thing. The veggies had a very fresh flavor and were not over cooked. Now for the best part the ribeye. Ok I know I usually have it here and sometimes it is not as good as other times. But who ever made that steak- that steak - my hats totally off! It was by far the best steak I have ever had at this place. I must admit I was amazed. It was not overly seasoned, and the meat flavor great. The quality of the meat is definitely better than last time. Awesome! Mr Summers give that Chef a raise! And Angi! 5 Plus Stars!!!!!! Question: Would we ever come again? Absolutely.

We've never had a bad steak here. When we want a consistently good steak, perfectly cooked and very well seasoned (at a decent price), we come to Texas Roadhouse.

Best place to get a steak in the area. The steak is pretty salty but it is delicious. Service is normally on the good side. Although you have to wait on weekends it definitely worth it.

The Texas Roadhouse turned out to be a hard place to review in that it fell squarely between three and four stars. Everything seemed reasonable -- the food, the service, the ambiance, the price -- the only exceptions being that the beer selection wasn't very creative and the service from the kitchen was a little slow. I'm leaving it at three stars because of this. I dropped by on a weeknight with my folks when the place wasn't packed and we were seated promptly at a well-lit booth on the opposite side of the bar from the entrance and in view of several TVs. All in all, not a bad spot. Quickly scanning through the menu I found something that looked good, but I was unimpressed with the selection of beers in their drink menu. A good craft beer from Texas would be a great addition to their menu, but if you like the standard Anheuser Busch / Miller lineup then this place is for you! I'm not a fan of either so I was fortunate not to be in a drinking mood. I ordered the BBQ chicken breast with a side of veggies and a cup of chili. As everyone at the table was trying to eat healthy (yes, there are better places for a diet than a steakhouse, I know) we cautiously picked at the complementary peanuts and passed on the bread even though it looked very tempting. Our entrees arrived a little slow (about a 30 minute wait) which is a bit surprising given that the restaurant wasn't all that crowded. I don't blame the waitress as she seemed attentive in her duties, offering us refills on water at frequent intervals, so I imagine the slowdown must of happened in the kitchen. The chicken was warm and somewhat juicy, although I suspect it was unseasoned beneath the BBQ sauce that it came dripping in because there was no distinct flavor to the meat itself. I wouldn't characterize this as 'Texas' BBQ which tends to be light or devoid entirely of BBQ sauce. Instead, Texas-style BBQ is seasoned with salt, rubs, and other ingredients which accentuate the natural flavor of the meat instead of covering it up. Not a huge deal since the menu described it as being marinated in sauce but it is worth mentioning if you are looking for authenticity. The veggies were nicely steamed being not too soft or hard and seasoned with a pepper mixture. These were pretty good, but I'd say the star of the night was the chili. It was warm, thick with vegetables, beans, and ground beef, and just spicy enough -- very good for a restaurant where the chili isn't a specialty. The flavor stood on its own without the need to smoother it with cheese or sour creme. At the end of the night when the bill came I was pleasantly surprised that my total was only ten dollars before tax. I felt like I got more than my money's worth which is almost as important to me as walking away full. Since the Texas Roadhouse is only a mile away from where I live, I am certain to return.

This place was great! You get peanuts while waiting. Although, there is a long wait. The rolls and butter are delicious, but don't fill up on it. Because the food is great, but filling. It's all round great and I would come back!

This is your safe and easy restaurant. Basic predicatable good menu. Has something for everyone and very reasonable prices. Full bar available with drink specials. Beer selection stays on the side of safe, nothing creative here. Service is always good and most the time extremely fast, husband and I have made it out of here in 30 minutes flat, of cours we also thought that was pretty funny. EAT and RUN! The food is loaded with butter....its all over everything, so just be aware or ask for no butter and they happily comply. We have tried many many items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The birthday thingy they do can be annoying but kids love it. It's our safe reliable fast steak place....

Texas Roadhouse is always fun and crowded, though, perhaps predictably, the menu skews a little heavy toward the carnivore side of things. Really nothing vegetarian, but they have a few fish options. Fun, but get there early or else you'll be in for a long wait!
