How can they feed us such great food in such quantities at such low prices? Really, the breakfast food here is that good. I have never had a better diner style breakfast anywhere. My five kids, wife and I can get in and out in less than 30 minutes and for under 35 bucks, and take some leftovers. We love the french toast, pancakes, home fries (perfectly cooked and seasoned, not burnt or crunchy raw), Eggs to order (I am an egg stickler for Over Easy, and their coffee. About the stingy sign jokes, the owner once saw me ogling it, and he made a point to come around the counter and bring a giant bottle of syrup to our table saying bring it back when you are all finished. When we are in with the whole gang, he often gives all the kids milk on the house. Don't be put off by the divey interior or Styrofoam plates. When we come on Sunday mornings, usually all the tables are taken, but we just loiter for a few minutes never more than 7 or 8 so far, and then a table or two clears. Often other customers move so that we can put enough tables together for the whole family. This is just a good old fashioned grill breakfast joint. You will not be disappointed. We have gone for lunch and the owner was equally generous. We came for sandwiches but he wanted us to try the meatloaf special. We chose the sandwiches so he threw in a meatloaf meal with green beans and mash for free. We were non plussed with the steak and cheese, or the gyro or the meatloaf. The fries were good, and the service was quick and friendly. If you like diner breakfast, and you like saving money, you need to come here!

Good food, friendly service and excellent value. Seems like a popular local spot, it was very busy at lunchtime but food still came out pretty quickly and was hot and flavorful.

Food is fine, but not what I would consider a diner. More of a take out breakfast sandwich spot.

My mom and I stubbled across this place one Saturday morning while waiting for some car work to be done at Epic Auto Specialist -right down the road. Diner is small and cozy with not much seating. Orders are done at the register and you seat yourself. Dishes are simple and they don't get to fancy. Food was tasty and serving sizes are big! My mom and I would have been good sharing one order of their veggie omelet (3 whole eggs) with home fries and toast. So unless you have a big appetite -this may be something you'd consider.

The owners are awesome. I don't understand the comments about them being rude. When they get busy they may seem rushed, but they are trying to get food out! They are great people and always have a joke for me. The food is great. The portions are big and the price is right. I have yet to have something there that is bad. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE USUALLY PACKED!

good food! good price it can get a little busy.. so if you're looking for a place to sit, eat and talk for awhile then this might not be the best place.. especially do not recommend this place for large groups who plan on loitering.. service is good. the ahjuhssi seems cold but i think it's cus he wants to get the food out for people to eat and go :) haha.. would def go again!

So I drop my car off to get serviced at the local auto place across the street and walk over here for breakfast. It looks like a shit hole based on the other businesses around and shopping center, but the place inside is keep really clean and looks great. they are only open for Breakfast and Lunch and do a lot of business that is to go for breakfast sandwiches and stuff. When I ordered a bagel egg sandwich with scrapple; i look back to the griddle and the guy promptly takes two eggs and cracks them, whisks them up and pours them on to the griddle. Fresh eggs on these sandwiches people, FRESH!! Some stuff is pre-cooked like the bacon, pancakes, and home fries, but they are all really good non-the-less. I have not had lunch there but if their lunch is as good as breakfast I will be going back.

A great spot for a quick lunch or breakfast all day long. This place is always crowded but its never hard to find a seat. The sandwiches are great and ready in no time. Each day they have a different item on the hot trays (pork chops, fried chicken, mac and cheese etc.) in addition to their main menu items. For around $7 you can get the main item and 2 sides. I have not been there during breakfast but luckily they will grill up some french toast or a fresh omelet for you until they close! Both are delicious. Only downside is that the salad's are a bit lacking. Last time i got the grilled chicken salad. There was plenty of chicken but the greens were just a bunch of lettuce.

There's a variety of food ranging from healthy choices like chicken cesear salad to burgers to kabobs! Prices are very reasonable! Definitely be visiting again!

Fantastic food and friendly service - husband and wife run it. I work across the street - and I get breakfast and lunch 3x a week. I would never go anywhere else... food is good - price is reasonable - and service is why I keep coming back. First name basis kind of place... excellent!

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The servings were very generous and the servings will keep me full for several hours. I recommend the meat breakfast platter!!

Went in for breakfast this morning and was pleased. We ordered pancakes and eggs with bacon. Everything was prepared exactly as ordered and delivered to our table pretty quickly. The staff was very courteous and the price was good. I'll be going back again the next time I'm looking for a good breakfast spot.

While staying in Gaithersburg for the July 4th weekend I was looking for a local breakfast spot close to my hotel. I look on Yelp and Woodfield comes up with really good reviews. I am so happy that I decided to try them out. The french toast was excellent, just the right amount of sweetness and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Will visit again if I'm in the area

About a 2-2.5: The hubs and I went to Woodfield Diner to grab some breakfast. We were surprised to find out that this place was Korean-owned. Located in a small strip mall off of Woodfield Road, when you enter, there are several tables located throughout the area of the store. The menu offers breakfast and lunch offerings, and there is a little dry-erase board that features some specials of the day. I had the Steak, Egg, and Cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel with a side of homefries (the sandwich was not good at all, as the steak slices were not that great of a quality and was very underseasoned; the egg was overcooked, and the bagel itself was not toasted; the homefries were also quite mushy, even though it was specifically requested for 'extra crispy'), while the hubs had the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a croissant breakfast sandwich (this was actually pretty okay, and comparable to other croissant breakfast sandwiches; I liked that it was not overly greasy), and Biscuits with Sausage Gravy (this came with 2 sides of your choice, so he opted for the grits and the homefries; the biscuits came buttered, but they were very dry; the gravy itself had no flavor, and it was more of a watery consistency; the homefries for this dish was slightly more crispier, but still quite mushy; the grits were a little congealed, but no butter was offered for it). You first order up at the cashier, then you grab a table to wait for your items to be called out (it's not a numbering system, but the cashier just yells out some of the items of your order); you go up and grab your food and to pay. There seemed to be a lot of locals who come in for breakfast, and they accept both cash and card. +Sausage, Egg, and Cheese croissant breakfast sandwich +mushy homefries T____T +located in a strip mall off of Woodfield Rd +plenty of parking

Awesome staff and delicious coffee! What I love about this place is the fact that you feel right at home. The food is decent, not bad for your average carry out but I do love their coffee section. Very clean and organized and one of the female employees was super kind enough to give me some of her skim milk from the back fridge for my coffee. I honestly feel that the staff is what makes this place so awesome. I will be returning!

Don't get me wrong, I love the no frills places; however, places like this need a homey touch and food that tastes like it's made with love. Maybe I came on a bad day, but I wasn't impressed. The Pro's: Accepts credit card Really cheap Good options Excellent bacon Food was hot The Con's: I was nervous using the condiments as forewarned by other yelpers of the condiment Nazi. Super salty home fries Tasteless eggs w/ a weird texture (as a breakfast place, good eggs should be a necessity) Overall, with the ok food and chilly service, this place won't be on our food map. As someone who looks to support local businesses, it pains me to say that this place is not worth stopping by.

Woodfield Diner has become my family's go-to stop since we moved to Derwood. Super friendly and fast service, delicious and consistent food, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the French toast and their bacon- it's so soft and cinnamon-y. Good scrambled eggs, pancakes, grits, and the Western omelet with bacon is great. We mostly eat breakfast here but I've had the crispy chicken sub and a cheeseburger and they were really good too. Thanks Woodfield!

They never have certain specials but never remove them from the board. They are also super slow.

Woodfield continues to be our family favorite for breakfast (we usually share a French toast platter ), lunch is excellent as well. This is a diner/cafeteria type restaurant where you order and pick up your food at the counter. The food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic cutlery. This is how the owners cut down on costs because they do not cut corners on the quality of their food - they use FRESH ingredients (actually use REAL eggs in the shell) prepared well. The majority of their clientele are blue-collar hard working individuals short on time and money. The owners are friendly but a lot of times they are pressed to get out orders quickly to help people get back to work fast. We happily support this small business and respect how hard this husband and wife team work to provide great food at a great price . Highly recommend if you want a yummy meal without all the bells and whistles. You can easily share a meal if you have an average appetite.

Stopped here for a late lunch last week, never noticed their store before. Delighted with a perfect, fresh, extra tasty Steak & Cheese recommended by the Lady owner. THis place is clean & service is adequately speedy. Will come back!

I work in the Airpark so this is a go to place for lunch. My boyfriend and I have been eating at the diner for two years now and the food is good for breakfast and lunch. You get a good "bang for your buck." Sometimes he (the owner) gives us extras for free like sides or fries. Once I took my little girl there for lunch and her meal was free since she only wanted mac and cheese and a drink. Some of my personal favorites; Breakfast: the french toast Lunch: cheeseburger, crispy chicken burger, lamb gyro, steak and cheese, chicken and cheese, tuna sandwich and the Italian sub. After reading the reviews I can say some people don't have a sense of humor. The owner is just trying to be funny...I can see how sometimes his jokes can be dull but not rude. He is a very nice guy! I can see how some people would say the vibe comes off as rude with some of the signs they have up. They make you feel like you cant take 4 packs of sugar for your coffee or have the ketchup on your table for too long and for this reason they get 4 stars. Overall, I would say this is a great place for a fast, good fair priced meal.

There are no booths, just a plain square space with tables lined up in rows. There are bottled soda coolers aligned along one wall, and coffee, ketchup, red sauce, and drink fountain along the other. You order and pay at the front. They have the TV going. Some people just come to pick up orders. At first I was a bit dissapointed, because I was looking for more of an American diner experience. I ordered in. It was inexpensive. I ordered the breakfast. Over medium eggs, white toast, sausage links, and taters w/onions. It was very good, and it actaully turned out to be an good experience. Everyone was nice. I will be coming back. Keep in mind they close at 2pm on Saturday.

This place is cheap & tasty! $5.99 for French toast, eggs, and bacon. Impressive. Not sure what time they stop serving breakfast, but we had no problem at 11:50 am on a Saturday. Strange setup though. Super casual dining...lends itself more towards takeout than sticking around. Everything is served on styrofoam. No booths like the name "diner" implies. No vestibule, so every time someone opens the door (frequently) there's a shock of cold air. But much can be forgiven with low prices & good food.

I just moved to this area, so after i read the reviews here, i decided to try it. I don't understand the hype, this place is not even a diner. I ordered the veggie omelette that had cheese with metallic taste (not in any shape or form a real cheese). I also ordered the grits that did not have any taste whatsoever. Needless to say, I will never go back.

The Breakfast is pretty good here, the only thing that is holding this place back is that the owner is rude. On more then one occasion I've seen him show frustration while taking your order. He reminds me of the character from Seinfeld "The Soup Nazi" "NEEEEXT!!"

Excellent diner food. Everything made fresh to order but fast! We go here at least once a week, so dependable! Try anything, it's one of those joints.
