They always mess up my order . The cashiers lack customer service, I guess they consider the place a junk food place, therefore,no point of smiling. The team looks tired at around 12:45pm. I guess they do not understand the concept of rush hour at the Kentland's. The cashier put all your food in one bag without labeling them and expect you to recognize all the different containers and the 6 plus food you have ordered in the bag. Managers Robert and Andy Though the food is good.

Love their food but won't be going back. Each time we go the portions get smaller and smaller. They even put the food in bigger bowls now to diguise the issue. For the price I will go elsewhere and leave full.

I just wanted to leave a review here b/c I don't get all the low reviews. I come here for the japanese pan noodles which are super delish. They also have salad bowls if there are days you feel like something lighter. Anyways, I just wanted to say the service here has always been uber friendly. They even come around to you (if you dine in) and check on you. Good job!

This location has fallen big time, in comparison with some of DC's locations. I had a brief affair with Noodles & Co's Japanese pan noodles last year, where I would consistently get great services, ample portion of steak and noodles time and time again. Unfortunately we recently dined twice at the Kentland location, and both times were disappointing. The first time they got our order wrong, and the second time, they gave us 3 small pieces of steak (dime size) with the noodles for an additional charge of $2.79. This is definitely not a cheap experience because when all said and done, a bowl + meat/seafood + drink will cost you $10+. I'd steer clear of this place unless you have a free bowl coupon.

I love coming here to try something new when I get bored of eating at the same places over and over. The one thing I really like about this place is the amazing employees that work here. One downside is that the tables aren't always very clean but I make do with it because I like the food.

Sometimes this place can be ok but here is a list of what I typically experience if the location is remotely busy: 1. Majority of the tables that are unoccupied are dirty and have dishes from the previous customer. They are very slow to clean them. 2. It takes them about 15min to bring the food out to you. I can understand this but they state that their policy is to get everything out to you in 5 minutes or less so they are setting expectations too high for their staff. 3. The dish usually is very low on sauce or is overloaded, one rarely gets a good balance. For example, I order a Japanese Pan Noodle and it was so salty I could barely eat it. My wife ordered a Penna Rossa and it had barely and sauce so it was very bland.

I have been here a million times! I love love noodle company! I haven't been here to this location in a while tho and when I came to it today it was a disappointment! First I approached the front reg. and I see a girl cooking while she is drinking her milk! I believe they should have break to eat or drink... Right? Well that was disturbing and unprofessional! Also, when I went to get my straw the station was wet dirty and sticky and with a long piece of hair! Finally, we went to sit at our table and it was dirty! Like really? What is going on with this noodle company?? If this is a new management they need a new one ASAP!

Service is mediocre but their food is ok. Not a fan of fast food (in general) but Noodles & Co. is much better than many other chains in my opinion (e.g. Cozi, Panera, etc.). My favorite is the Pasta Fresca (with grilled chicken). noodles.com/food I also love the fact that they have a birthday club (free bowl on your birthday). Sweet!

The customer service is terrible here. I only come back because parking is a hassle in rockvile town center. I ordered my food to go & they forgot to add sriacha sauce. So I came back from work & there was a long line- I nicely asked the guy at the register for a container, he cut me off and pointed me in the direction of the to go large noodle container boxes and continued with the line. I stood there waiting for him to finish, and he proceeded with the next group of people. I had to ask a waiter and he nicely handed me a container. Awful service I always have issues with my food whether I eat in or take it to go. I would rather pay a meter than come back to Kentlands location now.

Why all the low reviews? I mean yeah, the service isn't top notch, but it's reasonable considering that it's a fast food(ish) joint. In my experience, the service here is about on par with comparable spots for a quick bite. This place has tasty, relatively cheap noodle bowls. I particularly enjoy the Japanese pan noodles. Overall this is a great spot to grab a bite for lunch or even if you're just feeling too lazy to make pasta for yourself!

I've been sitting here for 30 mins now, still haven't gotten the one item I ordered. This place is a mess. You need a new staff. Won't ever come back here again.

Horrible food.. we went with a coupon for 1 item (for about $5)... not sure if that is the reason. Soup was bad. Indonesian saute is usually Yummy in other locations but it was so bad I threw it. This is the 1st time we are trying the kentlands location and what a waste of money. Will never eat at this location.

  • Jeff B.

The first time I came here, I ordered the Indonesian peanut saute. It was spicy and hot, and it was amazing. Five stars. The second time I came here, I ordered the Japanese Pan noodles with tofu. They gave the food to me cold, and it was a shameful and disgraceful meal. The noodles and tofu didn't taste at all good. One star. Five stars plus one star equals six stars, which, when divided by two visits, equals three stars per visit. I don't know what to think about this place. It is either amazing or awful.

I've been here several times over the years. But I was disappointed this last time and may think twice before going back. I had the Pad Thai, and the sauce was nothing like what I'd expect on Pad Thai. It reminded me of a clear, light sweet/sour dressing, not the thicker tamarind-based sauce I'm used to. And frankly, I never saw any peanuts.

We walked in at about 3:00pm. I guess the kid working the register got off at 3:00 because as soon as we were walking through the door, he walked away from the register while talking off his apron.. we stood at the counter for a few minutes until another employ came out and took our order. She didn't thank is for coming which I think is an important part of the hospitality industry. Our food came out quickly and it was good, that's the reason for 3 stars. Should have taken a hint that the place was empty and left..

This place is just OK! I mean it feels like these pasta dish can be made at home, nothing special. Most of the time it looks like ingredients are just thrown together. I'll probably only come here if I feel lazy & in the mood to eat pasta & don't want to cook at home. Because to be honest I probably can cook-up better pasta dishes at home if I put the effort into it.

Food is pretty good - standard Noodles & Company menu. The iced tea was lukewarm and there wasn't any evidence of ice being available. The wi-fi is so weak as to be unusable.

  • TJ B.

I love this place and wish there were more of them! Healthy food. Served fast. Good solo, good with a crowd, and plenty of kid friendly options. And they serve beer! Not many fast food chains that can offer all that. They deliver what is promised very well. It isn't going to be the best Thai soup, spaghetti, salad or whatever that you've ever had...but the selection is very diverse and it is all fresh, tasty, unique and served with FRIENDLY service!

  • Carlos S.

Floors are dirty and sticky. The rugs need to be cleaned. The tables are also sticky. Yuk. Food was ok, but didn't think it was spectacular though. I doubt if I will return. I am not sure if this is indicative of all Noodles & Co, or just this particular one, but I didn't have the "want" to return. :-(

We went there on a weeknight and there were very few diners there. I guess this should have been the tip-off. Or perhaps what we ordered (spaghetti and meatballs, pad thai) were not good choices. Either way, it was a resounding disappointment. Really mediocre food, and you can get better at most other comparable chains for the same price. The quality and taste was approximately what we would have expected from a reheated frozen dinner. The pad thai was so bland the only thing that made it at all tasty was the cilantro, and there wasn't much of that, mostly stems. On the other hand, the food was ready relatively quickly, and we got real plates and metal spoons and forks so there is that. I didn't really feel like I got a satisfying meal so we went out for dessert somewhere else.

POOREST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED TONIGHT!!! Employees yelling at the " manager " one girl was fighting with everyone and had a broom in her hand... What was going on tonight! Someone needs to get a handle on there staff... Poor management dirty environment. Overall just poor. Next time I see this manager working I will not eat there.

This location just got more ghetto. First off - A long time ago, I ordered a Japanese Pan Noodles to go and by the time I got home to eat it for dinner, it was gross. I went straight home after I bought it. That should have been the deal breaker for this location. But I didn't learn... What made me go ick and don't ever want to come back to this location was that they started using the plastic containers to serve for people that dine in? Is this something new? I have to pay attention the next time I go to the Noodles near my work. I ordered the Thai Hot Pot and my husband ordered the Chinese Chicken Chop Salad. The server gave us two plastic forks & knives and a metal spoon. The Pork Adobo Flatbread came on a plate... Um, ok... Not to mention the chicken on my husband's salad was pink. We didn't send it back, didn't want to bother. And I didn't get flat bread with my order. Just to throw it in there, the tables and floor are dirty as well.

This is definitely my favorite Noodles & Co. in the area though they all rock! The staff is friendly, the food comes out fast, and the prices are great. I've never had a problem finding a seat here and everything is clean and well-stocked (including the lemons). I don't think I've ever had anything I didn't like here. My favorite is the Pad Thai (but I also just love pad thai in general), but the Indonesian Peanut Saute and Japanese Pan Noodles are also good. On the one day I didn't come for noodles, I enjoyed the Chinese Chop Salad. Also, one of my friends lives for the giant krispy treats here. Great lunch spot!

  • Rumit P.

This is your standard Noodles & Co. There is adequate parking out front, plenty of outdoor seating during the warmer months, and lots of seating inside. I ordered chicken with pesto cavatappi and found that they skimped on the pesto and the chicken was rubbery. I went back a second time "on the house" by the manager but was given grief at the counter and met with suspicion and puzzlement when reading an e-mail from the manager offering comp food. The pasta I ordered then was about the same as before--runny with oil, uninspiring chicken, and meager with pesto. Order something else.

As soon as you walk in the door of the location you are slapped in the face with an overwhelming stench. It seems the floor is always dirty and the tables are neglected. Makes me second think visiting this noodles location. As for the food.. Food is not exactly the same at this location than the others. When I asked told a member of the staff that the penne rosa I ordered was especially spicey, she rudely snatched the dish out of my hand and said, "well you know there's red pepper in this. It's supposed to be spicy." I've had the dish countless times at other locations. She reluctantly made me another one that wasn't spicy but instead seemed like watered down sauce. I was embarrassed as to how she spoke to me before so I just doctored the plate with some salt and pepper and won't be returning to this noodles and co.

I am appalled by this restaurant. One its in the Kentlands. It should have a little bit more higher standards. The floors and dining area are dirty! Yuck. It makes their Rockville location (courthouse) appear like a palace. I ordered the beef strogonaf (sp) to go. Lucky me, I didnt bother to check my order until I got back to my office. Every time I dont check there is something wrong with my food. When I got to my office, as famished as I was, I was appalled by my food. My noodles stuck together. The noodles were not buttered or seasoned. Just tasted like they were either nuked in the microwave or tossed in some unsalted water. The beef, was old!! Stragonaf meat is suppose to be tender and juicy. The mushrooms are suppose to be fresh but it was canned. The sauce. A joke. I was so heated because one I was hungry, 2. I was already at work and could not make the trip back because I had a meeting. 3. It was hot outside. Usually, I grin it and bear it but this time, it require a trip back. I go after work and return my food. The cashier with bright red hair helped me. And looked at me as if I had lost my mind because I returned my food. I told her what happened and I like a replacement. She then tells the manager and tells him stuff that I didnt say, make it seem as if they gave me horse meat. When all I wanted was a fresh order. I never said, my food was spoiled etc etc. The manager was nice and replaced it. But this time my food was ready in like 4 minutes. Clearly, I knew that it was a fail. So I get home to eat, and same thing. Noodles are just horrid. Sauce nasty, meat, cheap sirlon steaks from FoodCo or Sysco. Being Italian, I am insulted to be served this crap. 2 stars. 1 star for the customized drink station. You have create your own soda from tons!! THey even have Mello Yello and they make the best rice krispy treats. 2. The service isnt so bad, The guy who took my order was nice, its not like he made my food. Manager was nice. They really need to clean up their restaurant. Like the other Yelper wrote there is some weird stench. They seriously need to give that place a good scrubbing. The quality of food is bad. Olive Garden would be better even though its not real Italian food.

Quick, simple food. I especially enjoy that the food here ranges from healthy to hearty. The venue is clean and the service is friendly, making it a perfect spot to grab a fast bite for lunch or dinner. My favorite dish: the pasta fresca. This is one of the "light" dishes, that ranges on the healthier side. Penne pasta, with spinach, onions, tomatoes, and your choice of cheese sauteed in a balsamic/olive oil concoction. The small portion is just $4.50, with the option to add chicken or upgrade to the medium size for a few dollars extra. See photo here: yelp.com/user_local_phot…

The not fresh at all dishes were not very enjoyable. My bankok curry was gummy. My husbands Japanese dish had been sitting around a while the concentrate terakayi on it making it salty plus very greasy. Soup was good. My husbands portion was small and gross looking. We went out for pizza after not being able to eat much of this stuff. No ice tea and woman's room out of order. I get creeped out having to use the men's room.

I've been a fan of Noodle Co for about eight years (the first one I ever saw was down the street from the University of Maryland). They started out doing one thing really well: noodles. American, Asian, or Italian, you choose your style and meat. They cook it and bring it right to your table. Nowadays, Noodle Co does a lot really well. Besides noodles, they have sandwiches, salads, and soups. I like the pick two deal and get a noodle bowl + meat and a salad or soup. Good value, filling, and you get variety. Back in the day I used to get the Pad Thai or Idonesian Peanut Saute, always with shrimp. Since I learned the nutrition info though, I now get the Bankok Curry. Way less fat and calories and a ton more veggies. Still get the shrimp. Kudos to them for having a transparent menu that allows me to CHOOSE how indulgent I want to be. Another cool thing is that you can choose your portion too (regular or large). Who doesn't love choices? The interior is clean and modern, similar to Chipotle. The kitchen is open as well. Can't wait until they open one of these in Austin!

The food was just as expected (good), The server became nasty when I sent the food back because I watched her put her thumb in my food when serving it to the table. The manager didn't understand until he watch the other server do the same thing. Just beware of thumbs in your food.

  • Douglas M.

It's ok. I've had a lot of the menu by now and it all sort of tastes the same. I'm always disappointed in the pot stickers, but yet I always order them. Serving size seems large and prices are average.

  • Gabrielle M.

Very friendly and quick service. The food is pretty good as well. I'm happy that I can customize my meal to include or not include a protein (meat), as well as veggies. Satisfying portion sizes as well for the money. If you're a fan of staple American cuisine, their Wisconsin Mac & Cheese dish will not disappoint. This gooey, creamy dish is fantastic and tastes homemade. I recommend adding meatballs and broccoli for an even better treat.

I'm writing a review for this restaurant because I think the 4 star rating I see right now is way too high. The food isn't really made with care and is deceptively unhealthy-- although the food colors are associated with healthy meals, everything seems to have too much salt (we ordered the tomato bisque soup, curry noodle dish, beef stroganoff). Since I was with my family, we asked for extra bowls to share, and all the bowls they gave us were still greasy and had hardened food bits stuck on them. Some of the silverware also had food stuck on them. I was pretty disappointed. In the future, I don't think I will initiate to come back here.

Simple. That's all i really can say. The dishes, choices and everything with that has just a simple taste on things. Of course if you want some authentic or more original noodle dished you would go somewhere else. But if you want some quick "dine in" or "take out" meals then here's the place. Definitely quick for made to order pasta. Love the decoration and concept. Very modern and fun. For the food? There's really nothing i can complain about. It's just simple and made well. I come here when i'm really tired of Chipotle or anything like that at the moment. I usually get the Beef Stroganoff and my boyfriend loves the Penne Rosa. Prices are reasonable for the portions. All good in my books. Also a side note, they now have a sandwich menu. Haven't tried it but i'll be sure to do so soon.

For a fast food joint, I really like noodles and company. It gives me a sense of healthy eating that I just don't get with Burger King and Mickey D's (at least this is my justification of always coming back :p) As with all fast food joints, their structure is fairly generic so I'll just skip to the food. Their Mac and Cheese is really good. It's creamy, hearty, and just screams all american mac and cheese. I also recommend the Indonesian Peanut saute if you're lookinjg for something with a nice kick to it. If you're looking for something on the sweeter side, I recommend the Bangkok Curry.

Let me start off with saying that I have been coming to this Noodles & Co for a number of years already. Like many of restaurants in this area, it was great when it first opened and then it slowly deteriorates in quality and service. I've always had a mediocre experience before, but tonight was terrible... So, right off the bat, the restaurant was pretty dirty. There were trash littered all over the floor, tables and chairs in disarray. Ok, maybe janitor wasn't there tonight to clean up, but someone should. There were at least 5 people working in the restaurant when I was there, and someone should have vacuumed the place, especially since the place only had 3 tables with customers. We got up to the counter, ordered, and then took a seat. Within like 5 minutes, the food came. Ok, wait. When we use to eat here, it always took at least 10-15 minutes for the food to get to our table, which we were perfectly fine with. Before, the food would always arrive like someone had JUST made it, and it wasn't packaged overnight and just reheated when we ordered it. This time, it looked like microwave food delivered on a white plate. The only thing that looked fresh was the bean sprouts. No joke. It didn't even give off its usual aroma. My family and I gave each other "wtf" faces. We took a bite and finally gave up trying to find excuses for tonight's poor performance. All of our dishes were bland. My poor mother, who ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles, discovered that there was a huge chunk of ICE noodles on the bottom of her plate. She and I took it up to the counter, and politely told the girl that her noodles were not cooked thoroughly. The girl didn't apologize, and just took the plate from my mother and went back to the kitchen to tell the chef that she needs another japanese pan noodles plate. The chef took a look at the plate, looked (annoyingly) at us and said "Just dump that back in the pan and I'll just reheat it." Then, the chef begrudgingly stirred the noodles in the pan for like 30 seconds, and then handed it back to my mother. I'm not high maintenance, but I think when you work in the food industry, there are just some things that aren't really acceptable. First, no matter how wasteful it may seem, I think undercooked food should always be dumped in the trash once it leaves the kitchen. I don't think it's that hard, or that expensive, to cook up another batch of noodles. It really is the kitchen's fault that they undercooked it in the first place. Second, if you're going to work in a restaurant, customer service should always be a priority. I do not appreciate evil glances when I'm trying to tell you that the food is inedible. And, it would be nice if someone would sound apologetic about it. Overall, I wasn't entirely pleased with my experience here tonight. They use to be better, but after tonight's visit, I don't think I will ever return.

Reliably tasty. I'm fond of the Whole Grain Tuscan Linguini with parmesan-crusted chicken, sans mushrooms. They have those fancy soda dispensers with just about every major soda product there is. Good windows along 3 of the 4 sides to take in sun, including an outdoor patio... though the surrounding atmosphere consists largely of parking lots.

One of my favorite casual spots to dine at. Great staff and management. They are vegetarian friendly and offer tofu which is something I wish more chains would do. You can purchase a small portion option which is definitely filling. One night I was there and they had a charity fundraiser for breast cancer so a portion of the cost of my dinner went to a good cause.

Wisconsin Mac & Cheese... first thing I ate when I got off the train to visit my folks in MD. This dish truly embraces America's classic comfort food. "Homemade, luscious, cream cheese sauce with elbow noodles topped with a cheddar-jack blend." Sorry to those who live in Philly and can't get here!!

Kids love it. It is their favorite stop that all three can agree upon. The food for me is good, but the satisfaction of all three eating and not fighting is worth twice the price.

It's difficult to describe this place. If you are looking for fast food style it's great and of course much nicer then McD but if you are looking for great noodles then I would recommend the dozens of other Vietnamese noodle (Pho) restaurants that are around. The food was nothing special; I did order noodles, but the noodles came out somewhat dry. For a noodle restaurant I would expect excellent noodles. On plus side they serve beer and wine and the person behind the counter was very friendly. I would give them 2.5 for food but the beer & wine and the service brought them up to my 3 star rating.

Everytime my parents or my sisters suggest coming here.. I will respond with a frown, a pout and "do we have to?" I'm not sure why I feel so against coming here since I haven't really had a bad experience here. We come here every now and then when we are too lazy to have a home cooked meal or to venture out of the neigborhood area. Food here IMO is not bad but it isn't anything special. I guess if you're looking for a quick "healthy" meal under $10, it would be a winner. I never order from the American selections.. nothing appeals to me. The Asian selections I think I've only tried the Pad Thai and if I remember correctly, it had no taste. Silly me! "Asian" noodles in an American place.. DUH! The only two things I order from here are the Penne Rosa and the Pesto Cavatappi. The portions here aren't that big. If you get the Trio, you really don't get much. I would go for the regular size if you don't care about getting a salad or soup. Btw, the tomato bisque taste like tomato sauce. I was reminded of that last night when I ordered it again because I forgot I didn't like it the last time.

My husband and I are currently living in Hawaii, but originally from Maryland and the Kentland's Noodles and Co. was one of our favorite places to eat. They have great prices for the amount of food you get. However, I find it's very hit or miss. It was highly recommended to us by my sister, but after trying about three dishes, we just couldn't find anything we liked. We decided to give it one last shot and we both loved what we ordered. My two favorites are the Pasta Fresca and the Penne Rosa. My husband's favorite is the House Marinara. The location is great because there is always parking and I don't think I've ever been there and not been able to find a seat. Though you order at the counter and fill your own soft drinks (though they also have beer and wine), they bring the food to your table and clear your plates. Noodles and Company is one of the few restaurants I miss while in Hawaii. They're consistently delicious and have great prices.

Good quick lunch. The menu is decent ranging across different favors from Mac and cheese to Penne Rosa to some Asian-themed dishes that I've never tried. I've never had a complaint about taste as I keep coming back once a month or so.

There are no Noodles close to where I live now! I often crave their mac and cheese... YUM. Introduced to this little place by a friend who worked there, I got hooked on the Trio, which was just enough mac and cheese with a nice little salad on the side. (The large was MASSIVE, and left me feeling like I needed to hibernate for the month...) The buttered noodles were very good too, but it was hard for me to get past the mac to try anything else. :) Many fond memories of picking up my lunch here and bringing it back to work to enjoy it!

  • Yang N.

Very reasonably priced combo dish here. I would recommend ordering the combo with salad as the full order is quite large. I really like their pad thai. The only con is that they give very little meat and I had to order a side order of chicken, even that was tiny...

    (3)
  • Jen L.

Wow, I was definitely unimpressed with the food. The flavoring was odd and unappealing and the portion sizes were fit for mice. The speed of the service and pretty clean setting were pluses though. The joint is overpriced. Overall, an okay "upscale fast food" addition to the line-up, but definitely not for me.

  • Jennie P.

I love this place! I bring their take-out to work with me regularly and never tire of it. They offer a variety of vegetarian options- I believe the Pad Thai is the only thing that is not available vegetarian. My favorites are the Indonesian Peanut Saute and Pasta Fresca (sans cheese, plus tofu). The tofu is almost always spot on- grilled well, great texture, and flavorful. The service is excellent and very fast. They have numerous other locations in the area, too.

  • Vic M.

I've been coming here for years. I like how you can choose dishes without meat without paying for the meat. If you want the protein you can add it for extra cost. I like several dishes here and like that I can order online or eat in and it's a quick meal. Staff has always been friendly. I've never noticed a cleanliness issue and trust me if I did, I would say so. So, for a variety of noodle options in a quick, friendly atmosphere come here.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
