My wife and I come here on weekends sometimes, and on a rare occasion early on a weekday before work. It has become our go-to for bagels. All we ever get is a bagel & coffee, so I can't comment on the other food. The bagels are excellent with a great variety, and the cream cheese/smear selection is also very nice. My usual order is poppy w/ low-fat blueberry smear & a coffee. The atmosphere is decent, w/ some outdoor seating and a decent amount of sunlight indoors to give it a nice warm feeling. The employees don't do a great job cleaning up after the people who are too lazy to do it themselves, so sometimes u need to get a wet napkin to wipe the table/seat to get rid of crumbs. Overall the service is pretty good, nothing outstanding w/ some workers friendlier than others. They can get very busy on the weekends, but the wait time isn't bad at all (although a seat may be difficult to find depending on how many ppl you are with). Finally, Einstein has some great offers if you sign up for their email list. I try to support local non-franchise businesses, however I have yet to find a comparable bagel spot in Gaithersburg.

There are a couple of Einstein Bagel Bakeries in Gaithersburg, but I like this one the best because they bake their cookies on location instead of ordering them from a distributor in Kansas. The chocolate cookies are SO awesome for an afternoon snack.

Starbucks was out of my coveted petite vanilla scones so I decided to try Einstein's instead. First off, the parking lot here is nuts. It was around noon on a Thursday and the place was jam packed. We could only score one of those 15 minute only spots and I actually saw a guy wandering around checking how long cars were parked. I decided to grab a turkey bagel sandwich for the drive up to New York and it was a good decision. Delicious bagel and cream cheese with some protein tossed in - it filled me up until dinner seven hours later. Too bad there aren't many good bagel places like this back home.

Noon on Monday... Looking forward to trying a sandwich. However, there was No bread. No challah. Just bagels or panini. Walked out and went next door to Peking Cheers for a wonderful buffet.

I like Einstein and usually go to the Montgomery Village location (which I can't find on Yelp). On a Sunday at 11:00 am this place basically didn't have bagels. Its in their darn name! For my wife's lox, she had a choice between chocolate chip, cinnamon rasin, cranberry, and plain. I usually get the spinach bacon panini, and it was not as good as MV, but it was ok. But for Pete's sake make some bagels would ya?

I suppose it was karma for deciding to have a bagel and shmear just because it was free even though I ususally don't eat dairy, but what a sad experience. To be honest it was because it was free AND because I used to really love Einstein bagels that I decided to take advantage of the coupon; thought it would be a nice little treat. But either I'm misremembering or things have seriously gone downhill. There were TWO people in front of me, and they were together so really only one order, but it still somehow took at least 5 minutes before anyone talked to me. What should have been a short stop was not - I was in the store at least 15 minutes. And that's with zero line. But more importantly, the food was pretty bad. The bagel was verging on a bready Lender's bagel type of thing, instead of a nice real bagel. And the shmear could barely be noticed - I had to open the sandwich to see if it was really there. And I asked for it toasted, which they must have interpreted, as my mother would say, as walking by the toaster with the bagel, because it certainly wasn't crispy, or even remotely warm. Booooooooooooooooo for Einstein. Sad.

Pretty bad. Took 20 min to get my order. Out of sausage for the Sunday rush. Confusion behind the register. Food was good but I could make this at home and save the hassle.

This Einsteins is the closest to me and I love Einsteins in general. In the past they have been very rude and it has gotten better. I wish they would work out how they prepare their coffee drinks better. I ordered a caramel creme blender, it was horrible and I threw it away. I will stick to the food here. They have great pastries.

The staff is super nice especially Jose! They are always kind and I love that they bake the bagels on site instead of ordering them. I also love that they slather on the cream cheese like it's going out of style.

Free bagels and schmears... who can beat that? I just recently discovered this location. It is one of the nicer Einstein's, as it has more room to sit and enjoy your bagel and schmear, sandwich, darn good coffee or whatever you chose, especially when they open the back room usually reserved for groups. I wish Einstein's had booths or comfortable coffee shop chairs, but I guess that a lot of people probably take things to go. There can be lines, but there have been enough people working to make it move quickly and there are quite a few friendly people working to accommodate. The e-club (free to join on their website) can't be beat with frequent offers for everything from free bagels and schmears to 2 for 1 sandwiches and other concoctions. They send a new offer weekly. The coffee that used to be "Melvyn's" coffee and now is called 'darn good' is actually that - darn good - and I'm not sure why there always seems to be a Starbucks next door to an Einstein's. They offer the lattes, mochas, espresso's etc... but their regular and flavored coffees are actually very good and you can get a bottomless cup when dining in. Macadamia Chocolate is my favorite, although Vanilla Hazelnut and Winter Blend are close seconds. Their unsweetened iced teas are also very good - Serenitea - is a green tea blend with citrus and ginger and they also have a Tropical Berry selection. Stand-out sandwiches for me have been the Grilled Italian Chicken Panini and Tasty Turkey. I've also had their California Chicken wrap, which this location made very well. (the other Gaithersburg location left out the chicken - ooops - but then made up for it with a new one). Decent place for a quick bite and a nice bottomless cup of coffee or refreshing iced tea.

The WiFi sucks. There are too many people connected to it so it's slow. I got he nova lox bagel which was really good. I love salmon so I'm a sucker for it. There were plenty of seats which was nice but I couldn't get the wifi going fast enough so I couldn't get work done. Probably won't be back because of that. The bagel breakfast was 6.99 a bit steep for salmon and cream chesse. They have other items that seemed pretty good maybe another day. Happy hour 1/2 off all drinks from 3-Close thats pretty good deal for coffee. You HAVE to order food from the order side the cashier can not take your order. A lot of people were ordering a lot of bagels which makes sense at Einstein Bros Bagel! Maybe I'll come back and get everything and treat everyone to bagels one day, but not today because nothing gets finished without WiFi.

The food and bagels here are decent when they have them in stock. However, it seems that whenever I show up after 11:30 you can't guarantee anything will be available(Potato salad, panini bread, most bagel flavors, etc). I've needed up going other places because it is really annoying to constantly respond to the "We're out of X, what Y would you like instead"

Munch, munch, munch. If you like bagels like I do. Then this is a place to get your fix. First visit I went with bagel socks with cream cheese dipping sauce but I don't know of they have it anymore as my last trip I just had a bagel with lox. Priced a tad high for my liking but quality is pretty good and it's a short wait. Pretty decent overall.

New system. LOL! Order person in front. Received the food, and completely wrong. Person who brought the food over was not interested in working. Nasty attitude. Thin bagels was the thick normal one.

So far.. I really like their bagels (and my hubby loved them)!! Sooo I will most definitely be coming back to buy more bagels here..I also bought some schmears..I have only tried the Salmon Schmear..I liked it.. But, I think that the staff who worked there were very nice. It would be nice if those people who worked there KNEW their products.. a bit better..(as in reading what is IN the schmears etc..) I asked and they did not know! I think that this is important..if you sell a product you should KNOW what is IN the product or at the very least some of what is in that product so that if you are allergic to an item.. you won't shell out the cash for it!! Just a small tip there! ;-)

The bagels are delicious and the staff is very friendly. What more could a customer want?! My favorite is the apple cinnamon bagel with cream cheese. They also have season cream cheeses like pumpkin cream cheese during the fall which is the best! The new Santa Fe egg sandwich is delicious and slightly spicy. Very good.

This is my first time here. Probably my last also. First thing I encounter. Jessica, the rude cashier. Initially, she seemed like she was going to be such a nice person. But, being new did not seem to excuse my ignorance. I understand the restaurant closing in a week for renovations, and that there would be a lack of commodities. However, when I'm asking whether or not a smoothie is made with real fruit in house or made with artificial flavors, that should not present a problem. I understand not wanting to talk to me, but that's your job. Also, when I'm explaining that I'm new to the area you should not disregard everything I say when I'm staring you in your face. I've worked in the food and beverage / hospitality industry and also the customer service industry so I have a well rounded understanding of a good customer service. Unfortunately, there is none here. I'm surprised the manager did not notice my disdain

I came in here at 745 in the morning. There was no line so I got served right away. I ordered the asparagus, mushroom and Swiss bagel thin and a southwest turkey sausage bagel thin. So.. I didnt eat the bagels right away. I actually ended up eating them around 10 in the morning. After the couple hours of hunger I open my bag, sharing with my boyfriend, and.. The spreads were switched! I was so sad and slightly upset. I've had both sandwiches and really liked them so the fact that they were switched just threw everything off. The sandwiches didnt taste good and I was very disappointed. :(( the guy was nice, service was decent.. To bad he messed up my order.

Not worth the money. A bagel, cream cheese and coffee used to be $4.23. Now it is over $5.00. I hadn't been there in 4 months because I moved farther away. I will not be making the trip again.

My first and last time here! Employees are very rude specially the lady who takes orders and makes sandwiches. They don't know how to make coffee I trow my coffee away completely. I had Turkey club sandwich which was okay (I guess its hard to mess up a simple panini sandwich anyway!). Won't come back again!

Ordered the veg out sandwich on a bagel, but the sandwich did not even come with all of the ingredients listed on the website (missing alfalfa spouts) and there was very little sauce which was supposed to be: garden veggie shmear, feta pine nut spread, but was just a tiny thin layer of tan something. Other ingredients were very skimpy, so overall this was a horrible meal.

Love this place! I have never gotten anything here that I didn't like. There is ample seating. The staff is wonderful! Very friendly but not overbearing. The system for ordering and paying is super quick and efficient, which is amazing in the morning when I need a quick bite to eat on my way into work. The staff makes it so easy, that it has become a regular pit-stop for nearly everyone I work with. Did I mention the staff here is wonderful? ;)

This morning I chose to try this place as it was convenient. I ordered an egg and cheese on a bagel, kept it simple. The egg was gross, it was thick and slimey and did not resemble even fake eggs. I took a bite and threw it away! Do NOT get their breakfast sandwhiches, AWFUL....and expensive too!

Busy with a long line but Tom behind the counter gave us great customer service. Everyone loved their bagels. We were disappointed in the chai tea but Einstein's was happy to switch it out.

I came here with my mom for an early lunch on a Saturday. There was no line but every table was taken, so I knew the line is probably pretty speedy. The guy at the order register was friendly. The girls at the payment register were a little stale faced though. I got a chocolate chip bagel toasted with strawberry cream cheese and it was really good. Warm and not burnt at all like I've had at other places. The hazelnut coffee was delicious. They have a nice outdoor seating area that we enjoyed.

I had a very poor experience here. I was charged the platter price for a Nova Lox sandwich, there was barely any salmon on it, and it took forever to get the sandwich. Another fundamental problem is that the way they do their line of getting food out means when you get your bagel, meant to be hot and toasted, ends up being cold.

I come here a lot and today I came and ordered my food an the Man that helped me was rude I asked him a question about more bagels available in the back he didn't answer my question an he got smart he didn't have on a name tag but I got to the register an the girl karan never seen her before had a attitude an was acting like she didn't want to to be there an she made a face I handed her my money she seemed irritated with the whole transaction I'll go to the Rockville location from now on
