Good food but service has been slow and terrible last time. We were ignored for over 15 min and left. We have not been back since. I dont care how good the food is if they dont respect me as a customer

We came here on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded. They start you off with the tortilla chips and salsa which was ok. The guacamole dip was ok but I did not like how it comes with a scoop of sour cream on top. For the main course, I got the ay jalisco platter which comes with beef, shrimp and chicken, rice and beans with tortillas. The food was ok but what makes this a 2 star is the service. Service here is so slow and horrible. I think we waited longer than the time we actually ate here. I saw the servers messing up drinks and looking busy but not really waiting on tables. I don't think I will ever come back here again unless they retrain the servers here.

My fajita was quite delicious, but service was rather slow and uninspired.

Originally thought I'd give this place four stars but it's more like 3.5 ... and when rating ... well ... you know the deal. Some good stuff some bland ... burritos are good but I'm generally ho-hum over burritos ... still a good place to go and to try ... but I tend to go to Sardi's or Laredo when I'm feeling a latin flare.

I like this place, we have gotten carry out a handful of times and the food was always good. I ate inside for the first time and yes service seemed slow especially when there was only a few tables. I enjoyed the pupusas with pork and cheese but I did not like their chicken tamale, it just fell apart. My husband enjoyed the combo fajitas. My daughter had chicken quesadillas. The queso and salsa were both very good. I thought the server was very nice.

Stopped in randomly the other day. Surprised with the quality. I had a Salvadoran steak, which had beans, rice, and plantains. All were excellent, nice flavor and the steak was very tender and cooked correctly. I also tasted the corn tamale, chicken tacos, and whatever else I could grab from my party, not a bad bite to be had. There was also a singer and generally a nice feel. Staff worked with us despite some language issues and got everything spot on, including some detailed special orders. Also it was cheap- my dish was $12, nice kids meals for $3. Only negative: it was hot, A/C didn't seem to be working and the portable unit wasn't keeping up. I will absolutely go back and bring friends.

My friend had a groupon and invited me for lunch and for that I thank him very much. The food was great! the steak was tender and the shrimps were grilled to perfection. The margaritas were splendid! The service was a bit slow but very friendly. I defiantly will come again.

This is some of the best Mexican I've had since moving to the Gaithersburg area-- the service was friendly and fast and the food is fantastic. I ordered a taco and enchilada combination plate and the taco meat was *really* well seasoned. This place is great-- and I definitely plan on going back.

Good food and wonderful service. Be careful for the margarita's they are so good and then they sneak up on you.

I give 1 star as a default. I recently bought a groupon for $23 that gave me $48 to try their food. Food was horrendous. Imagine cat food rolled up in a corn tortilla with a lime juice "margarita" to force it down. Service is horrible, drinks are gagging, and food would kill a starving animal. The thieves did not honor the groupon terms, up charged my $10.99 and $13.99 lunches to $17.99 each and forced a 30% gratuity. This place is not only serving nine lives cat food in a tortilla, they will rob you. Stear clear of this cockroach haven. It is horrible.

Me and my gf went here for the first time, the food and service were good. The chicken fajita was very good and tasty. And she got the salmon & shrimp which was good definitely a hidden gem!

Service was lackluster at best; server was dull and listless, three entrées took ~45 minutes to prepare. The one on Woodfield Rd provides better service..

First let me start off by saying I have been going here many years and have enjoyed it...but today service was absolutely horrible. I will never dine here again the soup's had absolutely no salt and I will say I'm not a fan of adding too much salt. The server never came to our table neither did any of the other ones sitting at the bar...We wanted water and she came only until one of us actually got up to ask for it...the servers were too busy taking shots with some of the patrons that were drinking at the bar and dancing while we just sat there. My family and I will never return here again. ...So this is an update after i refused to tip for terrible service by the server and staff I come to find out they charged to my credit card 24% tip stay away from this place...

This places blows! The service was horrible, they didn't pay any attention to us because we are not Spanish, our drinks were dry and we practically begged the server who was also the bartender on a Saturday night to refi them. Our food took over 30 minutes and we were one of four tables in the entire restaurant. I don't recommend this place. We are NEVER coming back and telling all I our friends how horrible this experience was.

Came here because of a Restaurant.com deal, which is a great opportunity for businesses to "deliver the wow" and retain customers (in a hypercompetitive market like food service). They only had 1 server for the entire restaurant, and she wasn't even that good. When we arrived, she was busy attending to another group; so we seated ourselves. It took a while for her to take our order; and it took even longer for our food to be delivered. I was going to leave her a 10% tip; but when the bill came, she had already added almost 20% (!). Which yes, the Restaurant.com deals allow for, but is poor form. Very few venues actually exercise that right; especially if they did a crap job. The food was good, but the poor service eclipsed it. Doubt I'll be going back.

Dropped in on a rainy Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM. We were promptly seated. There was only one other table with customers plus two customers at the bar. The food was edible. Chips were not fresh tasting, close to stale. Salsa had very little flavor and no bite. Fajitas had lots of onions, a half slice of jalapeño and one under cooked piece of green pepper on top. The ribs were over seasoned and barely hot. The chicken was just past juicy, hot but slightly over cooked. The vegetables I mentioned were barely seasoned. The sauce was wasted on the hot plate. For $13.99 it was overpriced. Oh, the beans were very salty and they skimped on the guacamole, sour cream and picante sides. Our server spent most of her time at the bar. We had to keep getting her attention. She never said thanks, nor even a 'your welcome' after we thanked her each time she shuffled over to our table. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. My ice tea was good, would have been nice if the server would have refilled it rather than ignore the empty cup. The manager avoided us until we were leaving, to say "goodbye" - yep he also doesn't thank customers.

Stale chips. No lunch portions on the menu. Pricey entrees for the sub par ambiance and strip mall location. Looks like something you'd find in a stripmall in CA. Meh. You can do better with your lunch dollar.

I've been driving past this place for years and I am so very thankful that my friend suggested we stop and try it tonight! We arrived a short time after closing, but one of the waiters came running when we tried the door and found it locked. He told us "we're closed, but that's okay, come in." The food was good, but the real distinguishing factor was how friendly and fun it felt. Far from being the typical indifferent service that I usually expect, the service was quick, attentive, and super friendly. When I asked about getting a very hot sauce, the waiter mixed up a special blend just for me. The music was loud, but it was very happy and every once in a while, some of the servers would join in and sing with it. When we left, several people behind the bar shouted out a goodnight greeting to us. This was my first time here. I can't wait until next time!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
