We were so happy to discover the restaurant here. It was all-you-can-eat for $10. Amazing organic homemade food. Fantastic bread. Delicious dessert. Great iced tea and lemonade. The two soups were incredible, and it was all $10. The people who own the place are so hospitable and friendly. This is a slice of small town America at its best.
A friend ate here one evening after kayaking the Upper Yough and called just to let me know how much he thought I would love the place. Fast forward two months and we are out in ohiopyle, kayaking the Lower Yough, after a long day on the river we still decided to drive out of our way so that I could try Riverside. I am so glad we did! I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the wonderful people that work there. Eating family style on the front porch, meeting new people and staring out at the water is the perfect end to a great day on the river. The staff are down to earth, charismatic, interesting people. All of that set aside, the food is amazing! I left there extremely satisfied. I even had a homemade gluten-free brownie with cayenne pepper in it :) fantastic! I cannot wait to go back, I can honestly say that in my nearly 30 years of life, this is my absolute favorite place that I have ever had a meal.
Stopped here while on vacation after reading other comments on Yelp. Good decision. The Thai Peanut & Garbanzo bean soups were great. The salad had fresh squash & bean sprouts with 3 types of dressings. The bread was fresh & delicious. The carrot cake was to die for. The people running it were also very nice.

Not only does Chris make the best pepperoni rolls in the state he also makes fantastic breakfast burrito, lunch sandwiches and dinner pizza. Make sure to BYOB or try his fantastic smoothies.
It's been nearly 3 weeks since my first visit to WSC... but I'm STILL craving a breakfast burrito from this place! I found it on yelp and saw that the reviews were exceptional so I was excited to try it out and see if it was worth the fuss. Indoors, it was empty save for Chris (the owner), who greeted my fiancé and I. He informed us that his shipment from Boar's Head didn't make it in so he didn't have any meats, which was fine by me because I'm a vegetarian. I had a veggie breakfast burrito sans peppers and he whipped us up some iced coffees. It was simple, delicious, and inexpensive. That was my first-ever breakfast burrito and it was nothing short of amazing. Chris was super nice and so was the pup they've got hanging out at the place. Can't wait to go back. Ah, if only I lived closer.
We made the trip over to Water Street Cafe from the Deep Creek Lake area after reading all the great reviews. We were not disappointed! The smoothies, breakfast burrito, and chicken salad wrap were delicious and very reasonably priced. The highlight of the visit was getting to meet Chris, the owner, who was extremely friendly and gave us lots of info on things to do and see in the area. We'll definitely be back if we are in the area again!

This place has the best country breakfast buffet in the world. Besides bisquits and gravy, scrambled eggs, coutry ham, chicken fried steak, bacon sausage, flapjacks, etc., they have fresh pies, cakes, the works. It's like you died and went to gutbuster heaven!
not many places in friendsville to eat. but after a race or maybe whitewater rafting, it's pretty good. apparently the pizza, which we didn't eat is great. the wait staff was super friendly. and the place wasn't crowded so it was quiet. definitely an easy place to eat. menu was extensive. yummy chili cheese fries.
I still can't determine the horrible smell. I also felt like I was in the living room of a very colorful character. The food was average but it is hard to get past the horrific smell.
