Every time I come I order the cheesesteak sub. Every time - it's that good! The roll is lighter than a lot of the logs we get around Frederick, the veggies are fresh and crisp, and the meat is good. Great value too. I heartily recommend Rocky's!

The pizza tasted bad, the service is even worse. Don't go there.

The pizza is okay, but the customer service is poor at best. Ordered 2 pizzas for pickup and one was not made as ordered. I asked that both be remade so that my family could eat together and have hot food vs one being cold while the other was corrected. I was informed that they could not remake both as this would be unfair for them, even though this was their mistake and I brought both pizzas back untouched. They failed to have the business intelligence to understand that a customer who purchased from you 3-4 times a month would be worth retaining, even if there was potential $12 lose for 2 pizzas they would have to remake. Instead they would rather lose my immediate and future business. I brought the pizzas back and got my money back and will not be a customer here any further. I ordered pizza from Dominos instead. This is a sad day for this business.

Good pizza, nearly on par with the Rocky's in Thurmont. I'd say I like Rocky's the most when it comes to NY style pizza. IDK, maybe cause my mother's family is all from Long Island, I have an idea of what it is suppose to taste like, but Rocky's seems to have the right mix.

I really like Rocky's pizza, we always get the deluxe with sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. I love their toppings because they're really fresh and crisp. I have never had anything but their pizza but my mom loves their salads because of the house dressing.

This is some of the best pizza in frederick. Family owned small business. Too many of them are disappearing. The dough they use is excellent. Sauce is on par, and the cheese is the best part. Large cheeze pizza, $10, not bad at all. I think its a 16". Kind of funny to walk into an "italian spot" and see nothing but asians working in the place.(irrelivant just different) Regardless, very nice people.

I am not one to go onto sights and write reviews, but I cannot believe how we have been treated by this business. We have been ordering pizza from here on a consistent basis, once every two weeks sometimes more. The pizza is a little greasy but it had been the best we had found near our home. Tonight we order our 2 different pizzas for family movie night. When my husband got them home one pizza was wrong. He called and spoke to a woman (manager/owner??) and told her what happened. He said he would be more than happy to bring the pizzas back, if they could just make them again. She told my husband that it was "not fair that she would have to make 2 pizzas, when only one was wrong." He explained to her that his reasoning was so that we could all eat as a family, and that it wasn't our fault they got the order wrong. She refused and told him she would just refund his money. We were really taken aback, that instead of correcting their mistake, they are willing to lose business. My husband went back to make sure the return was completed, and the woman told him that a lot of people have been trying to scam them. My husband explained that our situation obviously wasn't the case because we were bringing the pizza back. This woman literally handed my husband our money and told him never to come back! Are you serious!?! He was treated as if he stormed in there belligerent or trying to scam her! What a joke of a business! Now my children are sitting here complaining that they are hungry, and family movie night is on hold, all because this business refused to make their mistake right. I don't care how decent the food is, when customer service is this bad it really speaks volumes to a company's values. This establishment cares nothing about its customers or standing behind its product. The manager/owner is awful and needs educated on not only how to run a business, but how to treat people with decency and respect.

Best. Pizza. Ever. Nowadays, folks are swayed bot the $5 cheap "hot-n-ready" pizzas. Those are NOT pizza. The real deal is at Rockys. ALSO spaghetti and meatballs is ALMOST as good as my Italian Grandmothers. : } HIGHLY recommend.

I'm all for supporting local businesses over chains whenever possible so I was hoping Rocky's would have awesome pizza. Alas, it was not to be. We went in to order carryout and decided on onion rings and a Rocky's Deluxe pizza, and found out that means you just pick your own five toppings. 15-20 minutes later we were home with our pizza. The crust was okay but the cheese was rubbery and while it wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, I didn't like it. The onion rings were good though, and the portion was plenty for two people. I'm not sure I'd give Rocky's another shot but maybe I'll come try the subs some time.

My family and I eat here quite often. My wife loves the Shrimp Alfredo and I get their steak and cheese sub. The kids get their pizza.

New to the area from NY and when I read the reviews for a local pizza restaurant I had high expectations. Unfortunately it was far below my experience of good NY pizza, more like store bought pizza. Crust was OK, sauce was OK, cheese was OK. Not pizza I would go back for. People were nice; wish they could make better pie.

I have been to Rocky's twice, to get sandwiches/cal zones and to get a pizza. For what they charge for the sandwiches and cal zones, it's defiantly not worth it and the Eggplant Parm sandwich left a lot to be desired with very little cheese and very little eggplant. After the disappointment with the sandwiches, I was skeptical to try Rocky's again, but I heard the pizza was on the money. I got a large pizza with mushroom and onions on it and it was really good. Coming from Jersey, I know what good pizza is and Rocky's pizza was very good. Overall, I'd recommend Rocky's only for the pizza and not any of the other food.

Rocky's is a basic, decent, value oriented, Italian restaurant. The food is well priced and the portions are plentiful. The best thing on the menu, in my opinion, are the steak and cheese subs. Very yummy. The pizza is good, however, the dough could use some improvement, with more cheese added to the pies. Rocky's has a dining area which is pretty basic, not some place would take a date to have a memorable meal, but fine for quick sit-down lunch or dinner.

It's time to support the little restaurants! Too many are closing. On to the food- I really like Rocky's pizza! It compares favorably with the pizza I had in NJ. I like the crust, it's not as thin as NY/NJ style, but has good flavor. The sauce is nice, and I like that there isn't a ton of cheese- there plenty enough and the pizza isn't all greasy. The calzone is awesome! Lots of ricotta, mozzarella, and ham wrapped in a yummy crust. The subs are really good, too. The prices are very reasonable. I haven't had their pasta, yet, but I will soon. Skip Olive Garden and the rest of the chains- come to Rocky's!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
