We stopped here for breakfast. It was awesome! Not sure why the negative reviews. The food and service was outstanding. Will definitely stop again. Loved that they have a prayer list and Bible verses posted.

Seniors just can't get enough of this stuff. But, if you're a truck or an indiscriminate road warrior in am minivan with two screaming bastard kids, then this place will do in a pinch. Personally, I'd rather head up the road to Thurmont or down to Frederick for better options. Sadly as a local, I have had the orgasmic adventures of ending up here a few times over the years since this little roadside diner became Eunice's (The previous incarnation was a few steps better). Service is Waffle house acceptable, but the food is outright bland, senior citizen bland. I'm talking nursing house bland. I'm only ever here when with family members or lodge members who absolutely inssit on eating here even over my strong objections. One my last occasion it was a cheeseburger, which seemed completely unseasoned, an unsalted meat. The time before was the southern catfish platter (I'm not sure of is even offered anymore) which was just as lacking in the flavor and seasoning department. French fries are frozen, possibly, FoodPro, or Banquet bought from Safeway in a pinch. I can go on. After thirty years in the area, and twenty years of Eunice's being around, I couldn't find a way to put a fresh coat of paint on the food here to even review it for any of the five newspapers, and two wire services that I have worked for as a food critic since the late 80's. While far from the bottom of my best of list, and not quite at the top of my worst of list, it is one that I make it a point of avoiding when ever possible.

Just had an excellent lunch here. A perfect place to stop if you are driving on 15 between Frederick and Thurmont. Great bean soup and grilled cheese, terrific service. We will definitely stop again.

This place, being about 1 mile from my house, is the easiest and most convenient breakfast spot around. The foods fine, and the bacon is great, but it really isn't that hard to make a decent breakfast. Most places succeed in doing so. The problem here is the service. The waitress who I seem to have every time I walk in will not introduce herself, does not seem at all interested in her job/the reputation of the restaurant, and does not know how to smile either. She will grumble if you confront her about an order placed wrong, and will make it seem like it is your fault if your pancakes are burnt (God forbid!). We have complained about her to the managers, they say they have heard the same complaints about her, and yet nothing is ever done. You will ABSOLUTELY know if this woman is your waitress...greasy brown hair, late 20's, and a perpetual frown. If you want a place with the same decent breakfast food but better overall atmosphere and service, drive the extra few miles up to Trouts in Woodsboro.
