I think this place, which is called Bruster's at this point, seems oddly underrated here on Yelp. On a summer night, there's always a long line of foot traffic (you order at the counter outside or you drive thru). The list of flavors is long and tempting. The price for a take-home pint is on par with what you'd pay for a regular cup with a topping at Marble Slab--about 5 bucks. I've also had friendly, prompt service at this location. It seems to be staffed by high school or college students, and they have always been friendly and cheerful. When we drove thru with the dogs in the car, they gave us two tiny doggie sundaes for free! I haven't tried any of the beverages, but the ice cream has been DELICIOUS. My favorite is cookie dough, which has a tasty vanilla base and plenty of tiny cookie dough bits--which aren't all hard and rocky like some other brands. The moose track flavor is a friend's favorite. If you live in the area, I highly recommend, whether you're driving through to indulge a craving or want an evening walk with a sweet treat at the halfway point.

It's pretty expensive for the quality you get... But this review is solely for the Freeze only. A couple years ago I tried Bruster's for the first time and didn't like it. Craving something sweet and cold one night I drove up to the drive thru to find out they only had TWO flavors for the freeze which is like a super thick Slushee. I tried the strawberry lime which was decent, nothing special and for almost $5 a pop I was expecting FRESH strawberries or something.

First of all, I have NO idea why this says "Braum's" as it's ALWAYS been Bruster's. Second, please ignore the review from 2012--the ownership changed and the owners now (when it reopened May 1, 2013) are FAR better than the prior owners. Third, it's no pricier than other ice cream establishments and has a LOT of coupons out there so it's actually a bit cheaper than a lot of places. I wholeheartedly recommend it--the flavors are great (although some of the flavors with "add ins" could actually reduce some of the items being added so as not to overwhelm the ice cream flavor) and the Italian ice flavors are outstanding. Most of the employees who work there are very customer-service oriented and quite friendly.

Delicious hot fudge brownie sundaes! The ice cream itself is "A-OK," but certainly not the best I have ever had. I do appreciate that they have a drive thru and a walk up window!

The people that work here needs pay more attention. One Sunday afternoon i decided to give it a try. Stood in line for (not exaggeration) over 10 minutes before interrupting a conversation the employees were having with the customers in front of me who appeared to be their friends. I would have walked away but i really wanted to try Bruster's. Something about the ice cream itself was off, maybe the chocolate flavoring, it was extremely sweet. Or maybe I was just too bothered with the rudeness of the staff to give it a fair chance.. hmmm

We moved to Maryland late last summer, but just found Brusters this weekend. The employees were very pleasant and offered us to be apart of the rewards program and email list. The portions were a very nice size and the ice cream was delicious! We are so happy to have finally found a good, simple, "old fashioned," scooped ice cream establishment. Looking forward to many more trips!

I really only like gram central station ( it is amazing), but butter pecan is also good. I feel the portions are kind of small for the price and compare to other places. My husband loves the blast & the peanut butter sauce they use. So when we see a bruster's we stop for my husband. If they have a flavor I like then I may get something as well. Ice cream texture is normally really creamy.

FIRST place that refused to share an ingredient list. We have severely allergic child. Manager on staff said they don't keep list but kept going to back and coming out to ask which ingredients we were concerned about. I wonder what "invisible" list he was checking.

This place is a bit expensive and the service was kind a slow considering we were the only people there. The ice cream was delicious and the kids loved it. The Key Lime Pie ice cream was very good.

My fiance and I visited Bruster's tonight for the first time in Frederick, MD off of Crestwood Blvd. It was AMAZING. We decided to try a Blast because we weren't sure how the ice cream would be considering we never had it before and OMG. We got nestle crunch, mini reeses pieces and brownie chunks in it. In a way I am glad we went there because it was soo good but I'm also not happy about it because it's less than a mile from where I live and this could be bad for my diet..LOL...Honestly one of the best ice creams we have ever had and I already told my fiance that we could walk up there get ice cream and walk home!! LOL..not the best way to lose weight when getting married in a few months but it might have to do!! I am sitting here writing this review right now thinking about how much I want it again already!! Thank you Bruster's for a great dessert tonight and I'm not sure how come no one ever told me about me this place before!! :-)
