This is our favorite sports bar. Every time we have been in they have made sure the game we wanted to watch was on. Jackie and Dave that run the bar are very nice and attentive. Good bar food and cheap beers .

Beef O' Brady's is nearby where we live, so it's a convenient place for the family to grab a quick bite. Our go-to order are usually wings and fries. They're always good and probably one of the best in the Frederick area. Some of the food and beverages are a hit or miss though. Customer service is good. If you're not being helped by your assigned waiter, someone else (another waiter or manager) will be able to assist you. The atmosphere is fine for a family. The music is not too loud, but loud enough to drown out the noise your kids may make. ;) It's nice that they have pictures and memorabilia's from the Frederick area (high school teams, etc). They have free wi-fi which is a plus. Tuesday's is a great day to bring your children since kids eat free with each adult meal purchased and they sometimes have entertainment for the kids. Great time and value for family's.

Was debating on where to go out for a night drinking with some chums on a Friday night. Sick of the overly loud music at Champions, we decided on Beef O'Brady's (BOB) since it's a sports bar after all, and most of my chums are jocks. We arrive at 22:00 expecting a lively place, but instead found it a ghost town. Our waitress seemed a bit surely as if she had preferred no costumers so she could just go home. Our group ordered some beers, and some food. The food came out hot and that was good. But by the time I got home as designated, my one beer and some food made me crap like a crap-weasel. IDK if its a food borne illness or just a fluke stomach flu, but after some pepto and four TUMs, I finally manged to get to bed. And while the food tasted ok, and the prices were ok, I expected a little more lively a place (note lively, not loud live bands) that what the scene was.Always have to wonder why a sports bar is empty on a Friday night.

Kind of a strange place - it comes across as a sports bar for kids with all the TVs, lots of beer and tons of games. It was also completely dead when we went for lunch - but try the lunch chicken bowl, its a good value. Also can't complain about the happy hour, 2 bucks for a tall glass of Shock Top. More importantly, I can finally watch the Beef O' Brady's Bowl every year and know who the heck Beef O'Brady is.

Friendly staff. Clean environment. Bar section, table seating, and a little arcade for the kids. It's a nice local joint. The food is good. Sometimes it gets a little loud, but that is expected for a sports bar.

It's a Sports Pub. Seemed more like a place for locals than for visitors. We weren't impressed with the food but the Flying Dog was excellent.

Great family owned sports bar w/ exceptional wings! Nice bar area w/ flat screens to watch Sunday football. Pleasant wait staff, good food, and didn't break the bank. Surprised with the freshness of side salad and crispy wings! YUM!

Decided to try this place out after moving very near by. I was hoping for an inviting local spot that could my roommate and I could become frequents at, and found a surly uncomfortable environment. The restaurant was empty so, wanting to get the vibe of the place, we sat in the bar area. There were a few people at the bar, and a group of 4-5 men sprawled across several tables acting like it was their living room, yelling/cursing and walking around constantly. Our waiter/bartender was dressed casually with a hat on, and was clearly hanging out with the afore mentioned table. Music was way too low, allowing everyone in attendance to hear everyone else conversations. Tables were sticky, glassware was smudgy, menus were splattered with mystery sauces. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't mind blowing, the less than clean environment definitely took away any real appeal it could have had. We showed up for $5 burger night, but went for the cheese and bacon add-ons bringing the price to around $7-8 per burger. Neither of us finished our food, and really couldn't wait to leave. All in all this was probably the only 40 minutes either of us will ever spend there, which is a shame considering we live within walking distance.

My husband and I ordered the "prime rib sandwich" with au jus sauce. What a joke. First off my husbands came out totally burnt to where the meat was crunchy. My husband sent his back and the second time around there was more grease then meat on the sandwich. The meat is literally the "steak-ums" that you can get dirt cheap at the grocery store. They also put this really weird sweet sauce on the sandwich which just made it taste awful. When we told the manager the sandwiches weren't good he said "that's our most popular sandwich! Guess it's not for everyone." Instead of offering to fix the problem... Luckily our waitress was nice enough to comp my husbands sandwich... The manager was very unprofessional wearing a loose, untucked polo shirt and baggy jeans... definitely not coming here ever again.

Fries were very greasy tasting. Haven't liked the food at this restaurant but thought we would try one more time. No more tries. Not worth one star really

Ordered wings to go, they forgot the celery sticks. FAIL. Fries to go are soggy too, double FAIL. Wings got the job done, not the best; but it got the job done.

UPDATE!! So, the owner of beef o bradys here in our area called me after a few emails I had sent... As someone else had said in response to me, beef o Bradys doesn't deliver. Grub hub and waiter on call is who I apparently went through, and they are the ones responsible for my horrible experience with Bradys. They had spoken on behalf of Beef o Bradys as if they worked there. They were the ones who agreed to the refund of my entire 68$ purchase, they were the ones who failed to refund it, they were also the ones responsible for showing up dang near two hours late and screwing up the entire order. The owner/manager of the restaurant called me and informed me he was thinking of dropping them it's not the first time a customer had gotten a bad taste about bradys because of grub hub and waiter on call. He wanted to do anything he could to make it up to me. I explained that after finally speaking with him I didn't feel like bradys owed me anything. Yet he still said he didn't think our experience was an accurate representation of their company, and next time I was hungry to call him personally and he would drive it over himself. I was very pleased with the way he stepped up and even though grub spoke on his behalf he did not bad mouth them, remained very professional despite My hostility over the situation. So A+ for customer service, as for food I agree I haven't had the opportunity to fairly judge the quality of their food but I will update when I do!

This place is hit-or-miss. Sometimes when my family goes, we get good food (if a little generic) and perfectly acceptable service. On the other hand, we've also had a couple of very iffy experiences at Beef's that make me hesitant to recommend it. A few times, we've gone and found them to be out of important ingredients. It's frustrating to get two adults and four kids settled down at a table only to have to leave when half of us can't get our preferred meal. Another time, we obeyed the "Please Seat Yourself" sign and sat ignored by the wait staff for 20 minutes before giving up. If you get lucky, the food at Beef's is not at all bad and the atmosphere should be satisfying for kids and sports enthusiasts. But it's worth considering that this is the only restaurant in Frederick I've ever felt compelled to walk out of...and more than once, at that! Oh, and if you're planning on patronizing the bar at Beef's, but aren't a beer fan, it's worth noting that they "don't serve much liquor" and thus while they have some on hand, it is crazy expensive!

The family and I tried Beef O' Brady's Family Sports Pub this weekend and other than having a name that sounds like some place Homer Simpson would eat, it was pretty good. It's located in the same space as the recently closed Pugsley's over on Crestwood Blvd. The place is clean, spacious, smoke-free, and full of TVs showing just about any sporting event you can think of. The place wasn't crowded, not sure if that had to do with the time (2:00 PM) or the falling snow, so we were seated right away. The menu is pretty standard - sandwiches, burgers, and wings. I had the buffalo wings and my wife had a steak and cheese sandwich. The wings were very tasty, but I prefer them a little crunchier. My wife said her sandwich was pretty good, as well. Our waitress was really nice and didn't rush us as we hung out to catch the end of the Maryland game (damn Dukies) and then feed the kid after her woke up from his nap.

My kids LOVE this place. Probably because Mommy has a few Guiness's and they get to spend $10 in the arcade. The menu of Beef's is okay. The previous Pugsley's place was fun to go to, but Mom couldn't find ANYTHING to eat. We just went to Beef O'Brady's for New Year's Eve. We showed up with 10 guests (2 of which were under 2), got seated by a few running around to make it happen, we had a terrific waiter, and there was a NEW arcade game that caters to 6 year old girls! What more can you ask for?

At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
