We moved to the area recently and stopped by for breakfast and lunch the same day. Great little cafe with organic and local choices. The ham biscuit with chili jelly is spectacular! A must try in the area.
Chai tea latte or lime lemonade is awesome the chicken salad club wrap and corned beef rueben are my favorite fresh baked scones too
Great little coffee stop on my way to S. PA. My decaf mocha was lovely and the staff was equally lovely. Lots of smiles and happy customers unlike many places we frequent in the Washington, DC area. If I'm ever in the area, I will remember to stop in.

This is an amazing place, especially considering it is a bowling alley restaurant. Try the salmon (a huge moist hunk of delicious fish) or any dish that contains their seafood imperial (wonderful combo of shrimp, crab, and scallops, in a yummy Imperial sauce). The service can be slow when they are busy, but, for the price, it's worth the wait.
My family lives in this part of Maryland so I have been here several times over the years. Its a family friendly seafood restaurant with lots of options. Its in the local bowling alley but don't concern yourself with that. The restaurant definitely is way more upscale than you would think. I had the shrimp imperial stuffed scallops. The scallops were very well cooked, not overcooked, good sear on them. The shrimp imperial instead was yummy. Got cream sauce. Nice flavor. It came with a standard side salad. My family had a variety of other things and everyone enjoyed their meals. The waitress was very attentive and brought us lots of extras. My mom always likes to eat my croutons of my salad. The waitress brought my mom and aunt a whole bowl of croutons to snack on. She was great and very friendly. I think she was worked there for years. The restaurant does have karaoke on weekends so come early if you want to avoid that. Looks like they have a older bar scene too if you are interested. I am sure the next time I am in Forest Hill visiting family, we will come here again.
If good portions of tasty food for a fair price is something you look for, you will find it at the Fisherman's Catch Restaurant. The "Fisherman's Catch" is a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite ... PartyReptile.com 12/30/14

Contemplating over a cold Yuengling. I am so grateful for my family. Happy Easter everyone!
Very disappointed. The pit beef wasn't that good at all. Very plain, no seasoning or marinated enough and no smokey taste. Taste more like a roast beef sandwich and not a pit beef sandwich. The $5 pit beef we had at the carnival was way better than from this restaurant.
Andy Wargo is a Pit Beef God!!! Oh, and stay for the home made desserts!

Good food. Very much a take out food place as there's only two tables in there. The place is busy on Friday nights. I like the lo mein, the bourbon chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. I'll be trying more of the menu as time goes on. Things I don't care for: the lo mein could use more vegetables in it and the chicken fingers are breaded chicken breasts, not the chicken fingers I expected (I'm from New England). If you want that style of chicken fingers you need to order the sweet and sour chicken. I'll be ordering from here again.

IF you live in Forest Hill -- there is no alternative for take-out chinese. Silver Palace is hands-down the best. All the people down there in steerage whining about the wait time??? Are you for real? Everything is made to order. The Kitchen is like, 9 square feet. They do everything they can to keep the orders going and they are friendly......oh by the way...the food is spectacular! So zip it. No. I said "Zip it". Here, I'll give you a tip.....(aside from "call ahead and learn some patience, your Mandarin is probably one HELL of a lot worse than her English).....no, i mean a real tippy tip. Something useful. I don't know this for a fact, but I'm presuming that there is a shift change for the cook around 3 PM F.H.S.T. (Forest Hill Standard Time) --- the cook BEFORE 3 PM has a much different definition of "spicy" than the cook after 3PM. So.....if you absolutely HAVE to watch Dr. Phil before getting your awesome Chinese take out....and you roll up at 4PM??? Bring some Tums.
New management ruined this place. Service and quality went down, price went up. They no longer do the little things that made this place special. No more tea bags, very few condiment packets, and only a couple fortune cookies. After going here for close to 15 years, I'm not sure we'll be back.
I love this place! They have fake meat options, so vegans & vegetarians can still enjoy orange chicken.

My wife and I printed out a gift certificate from restaurant.com and went to check out Il Forno for the first time. The food was excellent authentic Italian cuisine and the service was top notch. Price was right too. We'll definitely be going back.
I've recently discovered this place even though I live so close in the neighborhood. They've got the best local pizza around and have to get it at least once a week. And the pizza is huge. I guess I need to try other stuff on the menu next.
I eat here almost every day for lunch for my break and I have my go to's like the white pizza or the cheesteak with the lunch specials but honestly every time I try something new I love it. They need more advertising!

Was just recently in to treat my mom to dinner prior to Mother's Day. We were seated right away and had an attentive server all the way through. Our pasta dishes were fabulous, as was the bread. The only thing I will say is that the live music from the bar area was a bit obnoxious- the woman singing was obviously very into belting. While I enjoy live music myself, it was intrusive while I was trying to have a nice, quiet dinner with my mother. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit.
Fantastic food. My favs: roasted meatballs (appet), cream of crab soup....pizza is good also. See photos.
Good luck trying to get this place to answer the phone... Kept trying and trying during open hours yet no answer.

Frannie is the best cook in Harco! Breakfast is incomparable. Shrimp Salad amazing. Pit Beef is awesome. Never had anything that didn't impress. If anything, they underprice their food. I'd happily pay 50% more for most of it. Plus, it's a real bar. Not many of those left.
Went there last Thursday for shrimp and beer. $17 gets you a pound of shrimp and 4 beers. ( note was told if you didn't want the 4 beers and just a soda it was about the same price) Dint get me wrong, the shrimp were good and it's well worth the price. However the service was so bad I gave it a 1 star and would have made it 1/2 star if it was possible. I don't necessarily blame the waitress as she was running ragged and was playing the role of cashier too. However, after we were seated we waited 20 minutes for her to come back for our order. Keep in mind everyone in there was only ordering the shrimp and beer. After the steaming hot shrimp came out and we were finished with our first round of beers by then, we could not get her attention to come back to get another round of beer. So we sat there for another 20 minutes until we went and found her behind the cash register that we needed more drinks. If there was a second waitress we didn't see her. It was a disaster and sadly we won't go back. Sad because we prefer to support local businesses. I blame management for not providing more staff. We've been here before and it's always like this on Thursdays. Fresh. Lastly. You don't want to use their restrooms either. Enough said.
There's a reason the locals keep this place a secret and its not because its a "gem"...

Food was good for the price. They gave you huge portions and it was always hot and tasteful. The restaurant looked more like a carry out with tables than a regular restaurant. Other than that, it was enjoyable.
This is sub par Chinese food. I wasn't expecting much by the looks of the outside but my experience was flavorless. Others have said General Tso is the way to go and maybe that's the tip you should follow. The young woman behind the counter was super sweet and my order was made quickly. Price was right on for the portion. I'd be willing to try it again because there are so few choices in this area but I wouldn't go out of my way at all to go back.
"China Mediocre" is more like it. We stopped in to pick up a quick take out order on our way home. We even tipped the ladies at the desk who took our order, even though we were not waited on in the dining room. When our order was unwrapped, our egg rolls were missing in action (MIA), our crispy beef was neither crispy nor extra spicy as we ordered. The Chinese pancakes that came with the moo shu pork were Mexican taco tortillas. There was something missing or incorrect with EVERYTHING. Mediocre at best. Never again. Never ever ever ever ever ever again.

Agreed, its a Subway. Not much to say here, which is good since about all you could say would be a complaint. Always have good customer service when I come here.
It seems most of the staff can't seem to follow simple instructions for making the sandwich. I asked for a thin line of southwest sauce and received a spread of the sauce over the whole sandwich.
I can no longer, with a clear conscience, give out 1 star reviews to places that aren't the Longhorn in Bowie, MD
