Roma Pizza

Reviews:
In the middle of Elkton Md you find a small pizza shop nested among some small shops in a small shopping center. You enter and try some pizza and all of a sudden your view changes on shopping malls. Cause for what it is; it is delicious. Roma has a family flair. The owner is in there making them nice pizza pies. And they are all great. This location for them is relatively brand new so they are still working out their flagship but it started off excellent. Than I find out these guys been actually voted best pizza in Elkton three years in a row. Also wings which I yet have to try. If you are on your way on i95 try this place out.

Fair Hill Inn

3370 Singerly Rd

Reviews:
Could it really be that nobody has yet submitted a Yelp review for this fine dining establishment here in northeast Maryland? I have been to the Fair Hill Inn perhaps a dozen times over the past ten years, (most recently in attendance at a catered dinner this past week) and have been repeatedly impressed by the ambiance of simple elegance and the creative menu that never fails to dazzle and amaze the most sophisticated palette! This time, my appetizer was a sort of lobster-cake in a (spinach?) cream sauce, followed by the beef entrée in two cuts, each perfectly tender and flavorful. Excellent though it was, I think I was even more taken of my wife's salmon; amazingly moist and of a melt in your mouth consistency. Located in an old farmhouse in the booming metropolis of Fair Hill Maryland (translate: a stoplight, gas station, and video store) there are several different dining areas in the various downstairs rooms, with a long bar center-stage that looks to be amazingly well stocked. We have yet to do one of their wine flight dinners, but the wine list is impressive and lengthy. This is definitely a $$$$ establishment, and most definitely NOT a BYOB, which elevates it on our scale to a 'special occasion' kind of place. Much quieter than so many commercial eateries these days, the calm ambiance lends itself well to special gatherings where conversation and conviviality are the top priorities.
What a gem. Had dinner here last night, prepared by new chef/owner. The food was outstanding. Best martini I've ever had. Perfectly prepared steak. Service was attentive and friendly. And of course, the intimate, well appointed dining rooms are lovely. Can't wait to return.
The Fair Hill Inn is our go-to restaurant when we are looking for an talented bartender, interesting and delicious cheeses and homemade sausage (salumi), a great wine list, and excellent food. If I could change any thing, it would be to just *tweak* the ambiance a bit toward the cozy side. Still, my wife and I have become regulars (at 3-4 times a year) in the last few years, and have never been disappointed. I think the description of the fare as American is about right. The key to the FHI is that they grow and prepare as much of their food as they can. In the summer, the greens are all grown on site. In the winter months - not as much greenery on the plate. They make all sorts of delicious air-cured sausage, serve local cheeses, and get much of their meat from nearby farms. The wine list is excellent, and if you liked classic cocktails, you just need to stop reading now and go. Excellent service and a farmhouse-setting round off a dining experience worthy of a special occasion, anniversary, or just a night away from the kids. Highly recommended. Update, 6/18/12: Had to drop my rating by 1 star because the awesome bartender has moved on. The food is still excellent, and our waitress did a good job making the cocktails we ordered during our most recent visit, but it is not the same experience unfortunately. Update, 3/23/13: Despite the lack of a full-time bartender, the waitstaff take their classic cocktails seriously. I haven't yet asked for anything they didn't know how to make. Unlike most places, where they have never heard of a Sidecar, Vesper, or Negroni. Here, you won't find 10 "martinis" that are really just dessert in disguise. Back to 5 stars!

Not your average fast food joint. Finally went inside because a friend told me they had a play area for kids. I've never been so impressed! EVERYTHING was immaculate, the climbing area was big enough for me to get into (incase little one got stuck), the staff was beyond friendly, helpful and courteous. The high chairs have hand wipes & plastic sticky table mats. The tables were cleaned with individual disposable towels. And they have Mommy Valet! For my toddler and i, this place is a God send thank you :) Especially compared to Mc-what's-his-face place down the street, which is disgustingly dirty and full of homeless people who shower in the bathroom! Now that I've been to Chick-fil-A, I'm never going to the golden arches again.
Pretty standard Chick-Fil-A. I frequent this location when heading north in the morning and the Abingdon, MD location sets high standards for service in these franchises. If you like Chick-Fil-A, you will find the same quality at this location as you will find everywhere else. I feel they do lack in staffing at peak times, and you can wait a while to order and receive your food.
Menu is not huge, but thats the business. This location is clean with friendly members, who say " my pleasure!" Family nights are fun too for the kids

Great food, nice portions. We tried broccoli & cheese and the Maryland crab chowder. Really great flavor served in large bowls. The small is a bowl anywhere else. I had the jerk tuna salad which was also quite large and tasty. A table next to us got a soft shell crab sandwich that looked huge. Service was excellent. They also have a decent selection of wines and beers. The place is much nicer inside than the location might lead you to believe since it shares a lot with a gas station.
Nice place. Nice service. Clean. Good menu with some variety and healthy choices as well as fun food.
Place is a hidden gem. Small lunch/dinner place. my coworker took me here one day and it hit the spot. I got a chicken cheesesteak sub. The prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly.

Lena’s Steak & Sub Shop

Reviews:
Food- Good food. Lavatory - Clean. Atmosphere- I felt like a local there.... But I'm not. Value- Yes. Operations- Happy friendly service. Return- Oh yes, I'll be back. Notes: I've definitely bookmarked this one.
I believe Lena's to have the best fresh cut french fries in Cecil County. I base this on a search I did a few years ago when my doctor had me on a variation of the South Beach Diet, but once a month I would select a different restaurant to try for the best fries. Once I stopped wasting time on places with previously frozen fries, I soon found Lena's. In case you are wondering, I see Jake's as a close second, followed by Fast Eddy's, but only if you catch the latter on a good day. The only complaint I have is that the only size to these delightful fries comes in at one pound. I like the other food, but if I am alone and order the fries, I do well to just finish them. I like the friendly service as well.
Tried this place based on the reviews. Not impressed. I can find 5 better sub shops right up the road in Newark. The food was OK, not great. Nothing special about the place itself

Bo Bo Chinese Kitchen

222 S Bridge St Ste 9
Elkton, 21921
Reviews:
We've lived in and around Elkton for several years and tried a lot of Chinese places. My husband recently remembered that years ago he loved Bo Bo because they had a dish that no one else has called Szechuan Chicken Kew. We ordered it and he says it's exactly what he remembered. I got the chicken with cashews and I thought it was better than most places I tried. The food always tastes fresh and they had pretty good prices. The only negative is that they aren't open on Mondays.
I love this place, it has been my Chinese take out spot for years. They have an interesting selection of Thai dishes as well. I would give it 5 stars but the place is a little dark, has no ac, and they do have their kids playing around the store.
Meh. I've worked nearby for years and avoided going until now. Clearly I wasn't missing anything. The restaurant was filthy. Kids toys (including a basketball hoop) and smashed ice cream cones on the floor when you walked in. The owner's kids were playing in the parking lot and the employees from next door came in to tell them the kids were in the parking lot again. But still, we ordered cause the yelp reviews were favorable. The pork fried rice was abnormally yellow and the pork was strange dried bits with bright red coating a few onion pieces and bean sprouts rounded it out. The rice was pretty bland and tasted salty more than anything. The szechuan chicken was battered and fried and came with broccoli and not onion celery or carrot. Not at all what I'm used to. So I got general Tso's chicken which was decent. Nothing spectacular. It was also served with steamed broccoli. I got spring rolls which were tiny and scant on actual vegetables. They also had some strange opaque garlic type sauce inside. It was like pulling teeth to get some sauce packets. They offered none. For the rest of the day, I felt off in the way I do when I eat way too much sodium/MSG. I wouldn't go back.

Waffle House

261 Belle Hill Rd
Elkton, 21921
Reviews:
I like waffle house, I use to love waffle house. But that's before I ate at waffle house a lot. One of the best things you can get here is the All American Special. You get a waffle, some eggs grits and bacon; pair all of that with some of Alice's sweet tea and you know why Paula Dean has diabetes. The staff here was friendly and everything came out with the speed you would expect it to. As for the food, it what you expect from waffle house, I doubt there is much variation from place to place. One thing that I always notice is that this is not the place for a group, the last 3 times I've come the group I've been with has been 12+ That means at least 3 table and more like 5 or 6 when they only have the 2 person one available. Moral of the story, don't come here with a big group and expect to sit together. Although if you don't mind getting split up it's a great place.
LOVE this spot. Clean, Quick service, friendly staff. I love the food.. the music..the prices..and the location.
Another one of my favorite Waffle Houses! This one is right off 95 as soon as you leave Delaware and enter Maryland. This location gets crowded with truckers and bus loads of tourist depending on what time of day you go especially on weekends. The food is just as dependable and delicious as ever. Great waffles and grits. Service is good and the food comes out fast. I really like IHOP as well but I love Waffle House! Please come to Pittsburgh so I don't have to drive as far to enjoy your tasty goodness!
