Went with the kids last night for dinner. This was our first visit and we will definitely be coming back. Staff was friendly, service was quick and the pizza was very good. We ordered a large half plain/half meat (Carnosa is what they call it) pie. I highly recommend the Carnosa pizza. Only complaint is that the soda fountain was only serving 2 different drinks. With that said, we were told that they were having issues with the drink machine before we ordered.

I've been here a number of times and keep going back because the food is just so good. Every pasta dish I've had is delicious. I heard a lot about the pizza, so finally thought I would give the Margarita pizza a try. I don't know how they did it, but the pizza tasted wood burnt and he made it in a regular oven, it was so good!! Good enough to rival a NY pie. Craving it as I type!! The owner and cook is Italian, and his presence fills up the place. You can hear him cooking, super fun!! The recipes are from his family and have been handed down for hundreds of years and you can taste the authenticity. Eat here, you will not be disappointed. Don't let the strip mall location fool you....I've been to a lot of italian restaurants, and dare I say, the food here is some of the best!

Somehow I managed to avoid (not consciously) eating at this fine establishment despite it being 5 minutes away from me and REALLY FREAKING GOOD! Luckily I'm a little older, wiser, and more pizzaexperienced now having tried Pazani's for the first time. So to dip my toes in the inviting Pazani pool, I started basic: NY Thin Crust with just cheese and an order of garlic knots. Opened the box, looked legit, smelled great. Took a bite...WOW. I let it all sink in. Now the garlic knots...WOW. I'm a sucker for garlic knots. Whenever I'm at the Pour or Trader Joes, I make an excuse to find my way over to Mamma Lucia's for some knots. You'd think a garlic knot is a garlic knot is a garlic knot. But you'd be wrong. Pazani's are simply on another level. No huge chunks of garlic like ML's, but you don't miss it. Perfect texture and doughiness, but it's the seasoning that makes these. Is it tarragon? I have no idea, but it's damn delicious. The dipping sauce included is incredible too. Fresh, zesty, bursting with flavor and character and chunks of the components that make it up. Some of the best pizza/marinara sauce I've had anywhere. This segues me perfectly into raving about the pizza. The first thing that hits you when you bite into the NY slice is the sauce. More adjectives and superlatives: fresh, robust, zesty, full-bodied, unique, delicious. Good amount of melty cheese, and perfect crust. Great balance of doughiness and thin crust crispness with good bite. For the money, this is the best, most authentic slice in HoCo. Interior felt warm, friendly, and inviting. Can't wait to try more! I'll be dining in next time.

Everything was great! Our new fave place now. Garlic knots, calamari, seafood mediterranean pasta, and veal. Will come back! :)

Really good pizza. I prefer pizza that is from mom&Pop shops rather than chain restaurants and was glad that I found this place. The New York style was delicious :)

Got a medium pizza to go with sausage and broccoli. The sausage is not your typical sausage, it is sliced thinly and very delicious. The pizza is very good.

Very good food. Amazing pizza and really like their pasta dishes. We now only get take out from this place because the few times in the past year or so, I want to clean the walls..etc. My biggest issue with this establishment is how uncomfortable it is when the owner yells at the staff. It's so embarrassing for the employee but leaves a customer feeling so awkward. Everyone makes mistakes, there is no way my kids or any of my neighborhood kids will work there! Good phone, very good... atmosphere, not!

Based on Yelp reviews went . Being from Jersey feel somewhat sad at most pizza places in Maryland. Don't know if it makes me a Pizza snob or just conditioned to NY style pizza. Started with a house salad with house dressing and it was fresh crisp and delicious. Ordered pepperoni pizza after seeing one delivered. Great decision. Service was quick efficient. Restaurant was clean , plenty of parking. Will be coming back as it was exactly as promised.

I come to this establishment at least 2 times a month and I have to say that I'm impressed each time. The food is amazing-the pasta, the pizza, the salads, the garlic knots, the panini's and the subs. The service is great as well, they get your order right each time and they are friendly and efficient. Not to mention, it's great food and a large quantity of food for a very decent price. Tony who is the owner is also very friendly and a pleasure to be around. Love this place!!

A casual mom and pop Italian place with decent food for reasonable prices. Started with the garlic knots which were very doughy and a bit dry. Though they weren't anything special, the marinara dipping sauce they came with definitely had a spicy kick, which I enjoyed. The Margherita pizza came with Parmesan on it which I thought was offputting. However the fresh mozzarella was amazing! I would definitely come back for this MINUS the Parmesan which made it taste a bit sour. The cheese pizza was flavorful and simple. The best part about all the pizzas here is the crust integrity. No falling apart-soggy-messy crust here people! To top it off, they also sell pizza by the slice but a medium cheese pizza for $10 and a large pizza for $12 is reasonable and generous. Definitely appreciate the value of this place and will be back!

Howard County and Maryland in general is very lucky to have Pazani! After seeing so many positive reviews on Yelp I finally decided to give Pazani a try. I'm very glad I did and only sorry that I didn't much sooner. I had ordered a Margherita pizza, their famous garlic knots and my wife ordered a pasta dish. The personal Margherita size was just right although I still had a couple slices left over. The garlic knots were delicious and freshly made; the sauce it came with for dipping was so good too, almost like a creme/vodka sauce. I came here somewhat late on a Friday night and parking was almost impossible, and there was quite a long line of people waiting to be seated as well as pick up orders. It's obviously the hot spot in the area for Italian and pizza in general. But knowing the options that exist in the area, I can definitely understand why Pazani is so popular! Coming originally from the NY metro area finding GOOD pizza is such a challenge in Maryland. My only other recommendation if you just want pizza is to definitely go to Coal Fire pizza in Ellicott City, they are the only other place in the immediate area that can give Pazani a run for its money. Great family atmosphere but be prepared to wait if you arrive here during prime dinner hours on a Friday or Saturday night. Not the best pizza I've ever had but it is delicious and far outweighs almost any other option in Howard County. The owner and manager is from Naples in Italy - so it definitely explains why Pazani is far better than the rest!

The best Sicilian pizza I've had in Maryland. The crust is incredible, and the garlic knots are simply amazing, the sauce it comes with is perfect. I used to get it once a week when I live nearby, now whenever I am in the area I try to go out of my way to stop by. The owner is great, and out of everything I've had, I've never been unhappy. The price can be a little high compared to other options, but there's a difference in product. I'm willing to pay a little more to be pleased with my food.

We absolutely love this place. Come here for the pizza and gnocchi. But what is up with the owner keeping the tips? I could hear him yelling at the staff on numerous occasions and I still go back because it's good and conveniently located. But the people working for the tips should keep the tips or have no tip jar at all. This practice infuriates me.

I absolutely love this place! It's close by so its convenient, and it's better than the chain pizza places around here. I like that it's never too crazy busy and I can always get in and out of their quickly. The pizza is delicious and flavorful. Being from NY where good pizza is everywhere, my family and I find it hard to get good (almost) NY style pizza around here! I think Pazani is pretty close. The crust is good, just could be a little crispier, and it would be perfect! I love the taste of their sauce too, it's full of flavor. On Wednesdays they have a special, two large cheese pizzas for $16.99. The pizzas are a really good size and enough to feed a family of four for sure. I've dined in and also done carry out and never had a problem. Kids behind the counter aren't super friendly and it doesn't bother me, just think it's weird they can't simply say "hi" or "bye". Nonetheless, food is still good! Would love to try their pastas or some of their lunch specials, especially since the menu is basically "build your own" style.

  • Razel F.

Very good Italian food. Eggplant parm and pizza are delicious. I also tried the garlic knots they were a little too garlic-y for me, but I that's kind of to be expected. Definitely recommend it!

To date, my best and favorite pizza place. Their pizzas are so good and made perfect! Love their sauce which also come with their garlic knots which I never miss whenever we are here.

I am making this one quick. I found this place via Yelp reviews...specifically Jarrod F.'s review...because his reviews Rock! Anyway....I didn't love this pizza. I ordered a large supreme to go...extra cheese...for the family. I thought the meats were too processed, and it had huge chunks of green peppers. Bottom line...I am still on the quest for great pizza in Howard County.

  • Kim J.

The food is ok but the customer service is horrible. I called to put in a order and the guy on the phone act as if I was bothering him. I said don't worry about it. I went inside and they took my order after finishing their conversation. I will never order here again.

    (2)
  • Katie G.

Pizza is definitely NY style and delicious, but over priced. A bit greasy, so much so that the box is soaked. The garlic knots are nothing like I've ever had before and I'm glad. I was not a fan. It was cold and stale and had too many overpowering spices on it. It must've been a slow night because I picked up my order at 7pm and the knots were old. I don't think I'll be back unless I cannot find NY style pizza anywhere else.

  • Meghan M.

Just ordered takeout food from there. Staff was very unfriendly and didn't even address you when you were at the counter. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and came back to our room to find out we had buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese. We also ordered the mozzarella squares which are just four mozzarella sticks.Definitely wouldn't come back if they couldn't even get a simple order right. Plus it was pretty expensive, over $20, for two people.

I got the linguine with 'grilled' chicken and alfredo. The two kids working the counter were less than enthusiastic that I was in the restaurant and were much more concerned about getting back on their cell phones than even being cordial (I said, "Hi, how are you?" and they just looked at me, with no response). The pasta was cooked well and the sauce was decent, but that chicken ruined it for me. It tasted like they boiled the chicken and then stirred it into the sauce after it was cooked. Absolutely zero flavor. Also, it squeaked against my teeth and was gritty like it came pre-frozen. The thing that saved this place for me was this little side of bread that came with the meal. That is the sole reason I might go back to try the pizza, which has gotten such rave reviews. If the pizza crust is made as well as that bread, this could be a winner. Ya'll need to step-up that chicken game!

  • Jason F.

Nice local Italian place with friendly service and solid food. Ordered the Margherita pizza and the Alfredo pasta which comes with a small salad and a bread stick. I'm not a big pasta guy , but it was good. If we didn't order a pizza, I would have gotten one of the fancier pasta dishes with some meat. The pizza was also good and authentic. I find it to be roughly the same quality as Pasta Blitz. Next time I will try the NY style. Overall, a good place to go for carry out or dine in. Prices are fairly reasonable and the staff was pleasant.

I haven't had the pizza here in a while, but I did recently have the meat calzone with tomato sauce, and it was very filling and delicious. I was surprised at how large it was. they certainly did not skimp on the fillings, and the tomato sauce that comes with it tasted home made (or at least not out of a can). if my work was closer to this restaurant, I'd definitely come more often. Based on the reviews, I look forward to trying the pizza next time.

I'm in the area for business and try to eat at local places. I found Pazani on Yelp so I made the small drive. Ordered the Fettuccine Genovese for take out. It came with a small salad and a roll. The appearance of my meal was great and very good. Lots of noodles, and would have liked more sauce but other rise very good. Hearty amount in the serving, I wasn't even able to eat half of it.

  • Asa B.

I would give this place three stars! Just an average place with normal food, clean restaurant and very good customer service! Although the front people looked like high school kids but they were really friendly and polite! I ordered simple philly cheese steak with cheese fries, A slice of cheese pizza and garlic knots! The philly cheese steak was just alright, the cheese fries was really good, the slice of cheese pizza was cold and too greasy, the garlic knots wasn't warm! I really didn't like this place may not choose this place next time when I am craving some cheese steak or pizza!

Amazing! You must ask for the spaghetti pomodora. It's SIMPLY AMAZING! Tony the owner is wonderful and greets my family and i as soon as we walk in the door! Want the best Italian food ever? Stop by!!!

  • David M.

This place was very mediocre compared to other Italian places I've been. If it's the best in the area, it's only due to lack of solid competition. The good thing is, it's run by real Italians. Other than that, the food is a bit pricey for so-so quality.

This was my last meal before my .....diet. *cries* Went with my son. Started with the garlic knots per yelpers recommendation. He was not impressed. I'm not a bread person, but I wasn't either. He got the white pizza and the pepperoni pizza.....uhm YUM. Best pizza I've had in the area. I like this style of pizza, thinner crust...greasy...yum. I love waterloo's pizza if that helps you any. I got the fettucine with seafood and a cream sauce. This was really good also. Cost 15$, came with a nice little salad with vinegarette. I think the pasta was fresh. My only complaint is that there could be more seafood for 15$. There was about 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, and some crab meat scattered about. The pasta was, hwoever, cooked perfectly and the sauce was very flavorful. I really like this place. And when i'm done with the D word, i'm guna slurge on the pizza!

One of two best pizza places in this area! What a little slice or entree of heaven, then come on down to Pazani. This place is a no frills mom-pop type shop where you walk in, order at the counter (entree, slice, pizza, etc) and then wait at your table. I have been here or gotten taken out of here at a dozen times and I have yet to complain about anything. From the taste, price, service, etc etc... its all be good! My top choices to get. 1. Pizza a) NY Style 5 out of 5 - there NY style pizza is just great, thin the crust is still crispy enough where you can fold it and the pizza won't take a dive onto your shirt. and the SAUCE! oh man the sauce is just awesome! there pizza seriously makes you feel like your in NY standing on the street grabbing a slice! b.) Sicilian - its not deep dish 4 out of 5 - but its the BEST sicillanI have had in Howard County. Not too many places have a this option and almost done do it well, the sauce to cheese ratio is usually off the crust usually is under cooked or it tastes like it was frozen for a long time.... but not Pazani's pizza, the ratio is perfect and the sauce again!! Killer! Believe me the choice between the two styles is tough but lets it put this way, you always win.... ding ding! Obviously the main reason you would come here is for the food, the food all the way from entrees to pizza is awesome! Great flavor, texture and the bread/crusts are killer! The service is good too, they answer your questions, and even if YOU make a mistake (like ordering meat for a vegetiran) they will exchange the food for something that you can eat... They'll eat the cost... no one does that. So again my hat goes off to Pazani you found a way to make great pizza, kept the price normal, and added good service... three strikes and I'm in!! I would highly recommend anyone and everyone trying Pazani, it will make you throw out any other pizza places number!! So cheers mates and hey I can get some cheese over here! Forget about it!

Walk In. Order A NY Crust Mediterranean or Cheese. Thank me for the rest of your life as you munch on one of the best pizza's you will ever eat. (or subsequently hate me for destroying your conception of pizza happiness anywhere else) Rinse, Repeat. ~P.S. Go on Wednesday's for Special Deals

They tried to charge us $13 for Italian pesto angel hair, which was listed at $9.99 on the menu. When we complained, the girl at the casher was rude to us, telling us 3 dollars wasn't much different. It may not be for some people, but it's the principle of doing good business. It's shady practice to tell your customers "oh all our menu prices are old." We finally asked to see the manager to get this straightened out. No word of apology for their mistake nor the girl's rudeness. Food was ok, nothing exciting. The said Italian pesto came out cold! You have to second guess whether it was their way of paying back. My husband had bolognese which he said was hot and decent. 3 stars for normal food, -1 for bringing out lukewarm pasta, and -1 for rudeness.

  • Julia F.

Delighted - delight-full! My wonderful husband took me here for lunch and we loved it. I know I'm beating a dead horse about gluten free and buy local, but I'm passionate about both. If you're looking for gluten free and in my case, dairy free, as well as a great local place- you gotta try Pazani! They were helpful and wonderful!

  • Becca R.

This place has really good reviews, and the food is good, but overall it is just okay compared to similar places in the area. I'd really only give it 3.5 stars, but when in doubt round up. Plus the owner was very nice and from Italy, so I don't want to be a jerk. The pasta and entrees seem a little on the higher price range for counter-service joints. The less expensive pastas are choose your pasta and sauce, but why get a plain pasta dish when you can make something comparable at home? The prices for the pizza are on par for an independent pizzeria and they have some unique offerings. Got the capricciosa pizza and it was pretty good (kalmata olives, artichoke hearts, red peppers, and mushrooms). Worth the price. My opinion: Pazani is greater than 3 Brothers but less than Pasta Blitz.

A little mom n pop Italian restaurant hidden out in the burbs. The owner who is often at the cash register is as Italian as it gets.. He has the look, the accent, often loudly breaks out in Italian song when he's in the kitchen, keeps the widescreen on Italian news for the majority of the day, and is as friendly as friendly can be. The menu has a wide variety of pastas, pizzas, salads, and they even serve beer and wine. Nothing terribly fancy about the food or the restaurant. But it has a nice homey feel like you're eating in your grandmother's kitchen and it works. If you want good Italian food that isn't insanely overpriced, in a casual atmosphere, this is the place to go.

  • Kristi B.

Delicious food and a casual atmosphere. The veal parm was fantastic... The sauce was sweet with a little bit of a kick. I was craving a big Italian meal and Panzani delivered! We will definitely be back!

  • Rachel B.

The neighborhood pizza place that's perfect for everything from a quick slice and soda to a shrimp fra diavolo. A small selection of meh wines and a couple of beer choices are also available. The place is perfect for families. Watch out for the loud, but friendly cook/owner.

    (5)
  • Amanda S.

Love their vegetarian pizza!! Tons of toppings and a crispy crust. I only wish they delivered-- we'd probably order it AT LEAST once a week if we didn't have to go wait there for it. It always seems like their estimates for when it will be ready are off, and we end up waiting a long time. But the food is great!

  • Margaret S.

We were looking for a quick place to grab a sandwich and fell in here. I had THE BEST grilled vegetable panini!! Can't wait to come back for their pasta.

  • Kris K.

Great pizza at a great price. Large Sicilian with two toppings and a drink $24. Fed me, wife and son and leftovers. The pizza had great flavors and the fresh garlic really had the bite and flavor I was looking for. I give this place 3.5 stars but rounded up due to the ambiance. The clerks and cooks talking in Italian added to the meal nicely

We've gone here for years and unfortunately it has steadily gone downhill. On several occasions they have made a mistake on our pizza order. They're not apologetic when it occurs. It seems like the people who work the cashier now either don't know what they're doing or don't care. Recently they forgot one of the toppings on our pizza, which we only noticed because we bothered to check before we left. Unfortunately they had a negative attitude about their mistake and we even had trouble getting all of our money back! They've also switched their menu to heavily favor "make your own" choices which is fine I suppose, but the new menus are plastered over their walls and really detracts from the ambiance of the place. There are better casual italian places in the area.

Their wings are amazing! If you're not a big fan of garlic then don't get it. Their hot wings are littered with pieces of garlic. Slightly crunchy on the outside, meaty and delicious on the inside. The best hot wings I've ever had, no joke. If they were pre-frozen and shipped from China, I don't care, they are delicious! (It's best to have em when dining in.) Their Sicilian Pizza is always fantastic. Crispy bottom, size is big but it's light and fluffy; complements well with the sauce and toppings. Their other pizzas are good too. I'm not a big fan of their addition to the menu; create your own pasta. There are many people out there that are too indecisive to even think about what they'd want on their pasta, including me. Sometimes I just wanna choose a dish and that's it. But luckily, they decided to keep some of their pasta dishes like the Fettuccine Mediterraneo which consists of scallops, shrimp and crab meat in a rose cream sauce, and the Farfalle Al Salmon. Though they sometimes overcook the salmon. Bruschetta and Calamari are also great appetizers, and what's even better is that it's located nearby where I live!

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge fan of Pazani. In fact, I think it is likely the best restaurant in Elkridge. I found Pazani a few years back. I live about a 5-minute drive away and the wife and I were looking for some Italian that was quick. I remember seeing an advertisement for this location in one of the flyers that they send out in the mail. Armed with a coupon, we headed over. Little did we know how good the food would be. From the outside it looks like your regular strip mall restaurant and in fact, once you get in there, you will not be wowed by the ambiance. This is not a romantic restaurant, not does it have and old world Italian feel to it. You walk up past a display of pizzas and order from the count. You are given a number and make your way to one of the booths or tables they have. If you ordered some pasta, almost immediately someone will stop by your table with a salad and some amazing, hot, oven fresh bread. Now I can't talk about the quality of the pizza, but I hear it is good. What I can talk about is the quality of the pasta. I always get the Tortellini Boscaiola. Hands down this is one of the best Italian dishes I have ever had. There is a nice smokiness to the rich cream sauce which is loaded with mushrooms, bacon and peas. I love to just sop it up with the fresh bread that comes to the table. I have had other pastas too. Usually I'll take a bite of whatever my wife has. Lately she's enjoyed the "make your own pasta" and the rigatoni that she typically gets is great! One of these days I'd love to get around to trying some other stuff, like the pizza, but in reality, the Tortellini Boscaiola is sooooooo good, I haven't brought myself to pass it up. We love to take our daughter there as they have plenty of high chairs and she really enjoys the food. Plus where it's not a romantic place, you really won't be bothering the other customers if your kid is loud. This place is absolutely a hidden gem that I highly recommend visiting. You get all the great pasta taste that you'd expect in Little Italy, but without paying the primo prices.

I don't understand the pizza raves. Pazani's not bad, but not worth the extra trip in my mind. It's an average family-friendly Italian-American joint with pasta and thin-crust pies. Pizza and pasta are ordered at the counter and run to your table. For me, this is a formula that both Three Brothers and Chef Paolino Cafe do with less noise and more comfort. Food is on par with any number of similar operations.

Very good casual Italian restaurant. All freshly made food with lots of options. We eat here all the time. The food is consistent, as Tony, the ever-present, exuberant, owner keeps everything up to a high standard.

Ordered an Italian cold cut sub TOASTED. Served to me not toasted, returned sub to get toasted. Seemed to take longer than it should. When sub came back it had grill marks and was soggy and falling apart. You could tell they just put sub on grill to heat? Really? I think toasted means in an oven, this is not a panini sandwich. Told owner I wanted money back which he did return, but no apology. He did not care. Just ignored us. Also, soap dispenser in ladies room not working, how are the ladies working there washing there hands? Gross!

This is, hands down, the best pizza in Howard county! My favorite is the Almafi and the combo of cheese, arugula, and perfect thin crust sends me to heaven, each time. The margarita is a close second but, having had the real thing in Naples, I think the sauce is a different take. In no way bad, just different, maybe more acidic? Great service, reasonable prices, and fantastic pizza every time!

The Bianca pizza here is outstanding. My husband and I call ahead about once a week and then drive over to enjoy our pie in the cute, clean restaurant. The owner has big Italian personality and is very nice. This is the only pizza joint worth visiting in Howard county.

Okay, let's be real... from the dining room alone I'd say this place falls in the dirty category. Straight up. If you want fine dining, forget about it. If you want candles, impeccable service, and a beautiful setting, you can forgot about it too. But if you want good Italian food that's on par with any dishes coming out of the kitchens in "Little Italy" then I got the perfect spot for you. Granted I've never eaten their notorious pizza but from the half a dozen times I've ordered from this strip mall dive, the food is always surprisingly good. The only thing I don't like is the salads you get with the meals. Sometimes I get brown lettuce and red onion that tastes like its been sitting in a fridge for a week too long. But besides that, someone in the kitchen of Pazani actually cares, and to a great deal, about the food that comes out of this tiny kitchen. All the meat lover pasta dishes are tasty. My favorite dish at the moment is the $17 Filet Mignon Portobello. It's a a butterflied Filet topped with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, gooey cheese and Marsala sauce. Granted its not the Prime Rib but its sure good enough to satisfy any meatlover's craving without destroying your wallet. With a side of potato and salad (substitute for a veggie), it's hard to find a better deal. Plus, it's never too crowded!

Pazani is such a gem of a find! The service is what makes this place shine. I didn't know what to order, and asked for a recommendation. Not sure what I got (pasta, red sauce, peas, meat?!) but it was yummy. The garlic knots were amazing! Definitely try those, but be warned - they come in an order of six, and they're pretty big, so make sure you share or are prepared to take some home. The biggest surprise is that this is an Italian restaurant run by an Italian owner! Who knew they actually existed anymore! The decor isn't fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Its one of those places that you walk into, order, get a number, and then sit down while awaiting your food. The place ended up pretty busy around 7pm as every table was full. The owner came by to ask how the food was, and was courteous enough to get us to-go boxes, but other than that, we were free to stay as long as we wanted. And we did! My friend and I stayed there from 5pm and didn't end up leaving until 9:30pm, and only because we noticed they were cleaning up. No one ever asked us to leave, which I think speaks volumes about their customer service. I highly recommend this place and plan on visiting it more often while I'm here in MD. Its delicious, cheap, and has amazing service - what more can a customer ask for!?

Love this place. The prices can be a little high sometimes but the food is fantastic. Food is served fairly quickly and tastes great. It has a good atmosphere and its family owned. Great service as well.

Unfortunately, I learned that Pazani is closed on Mondays, from first hand experience. Undeterred, I returned. Pazani, by the way, is named for PA-sta, piz-ZA, pani-NI. The pizza is decent. Just thin enough to have that slight crunch to the crust, yet enough substance to have some softness as well. The plain cheese pizza is ok. They also have "specialty" varieties, such as the Chicken Caesar. It's got a slight lemony sourness to it and lacks red sauce. Fairly good. I've had the cheesesteak and the chicken-cheesesteak. Both were likable. There are inklings of traditional Italian seasoning in the subs, which you may or may not like depending on preference. The subs are delivered in a light and fluffy white bread. Personally, I wish the meat wasn't so chopped up during the grilling process. Still, the very soft bread, the finely chopped grilled meat, and cheese present a melt-in-your-mouth type of comfort sandwich. The dining area is new and pretty clean. The service is good. In fact, I was very pleased with my first visit, when the cashier helped me through the menu, and politely answered some questions I had about the restaurant.

We were looking for a place for a quick girl's dinner on a Sunday night. I picked this place after reading the reviews on yelp, plus the added convenience of having a seated meal without a check to split 10 different ways! First, the staff was great. helpful and friendly. Second, the place was clean with a relaxed atmosphere Third, I wish I had ordered the pizza! I liked that I could substitute whole wheat pasta for a small charge. I love whole wheat pasta and its so much better for you. I got a basic penne with marinara sauce. It was okay, but nothing I would go out of my way for. I also ordered the caprese salad. It needed fresh basil, but it was descent for a chain restaurant. Everyone else I was with ordered pasta and felt the same way I did. The pizza looked amazing and if I go back I will order a slice! So, skip the pasta and go for the pizza.

Pazani Trattori in Elkridge is my favorite pizza in Howard County. You need to know that I'm a thin-crust, thin-cheese kind of guy. Pazani Trattori serves a crisp, greaseless crust with exceptional, unusual toppings. Too many pizzas taste like canned sauce and bland toppings -- where you couldn't tell if that was mushroom or chicken with your eyes closed. The flavors at Pazani Trattori are fresh, and they taste like someone picked out deliciously-salty olives and sauteed the peppers there in the store. The restaurant -- which is almost impossible to stumble across but very convenient from Rtes 103 and 100 -- also serves pastas, desserts, etc.

The food is good but the service is awful. There's some lady there (I think she's the manager) that acts annoyed at the customers every time we've been. One time (a Friday night when they were very busy) when we asked why our food was taking over 45 minutes to cook she complained about all of the customers they had. When she finally brought the food over she practically yelled at us telling us how she is pregnant and tired and there are too many customers. LIke it's the customers fault! They are overwhelmed and don't have the staff to handle the customers. The manager is pretty upset at it but shouldn't take it out on the customers. It's not our fault they have a faulty system of serving their food. The food is good, but since she came over and yelled at us in front of our kids because we had complained (how dare we!) we don't go there anymore. A shame, they should respect their customers more.

Remember that episode from Seinfeld where Mr.Steinbrenner tastes George's calazone and orders calazone for lunch everyday ? Well, i think i'm gonna start barking orders at myself to go grab a calazone thanks to Pazani ! Hidden away in a strip mall next to the usual strip mall suspects ( a nail shop and a sushi place, what else ? ) Pazani is your usual diner style restaurant minus the waiting staff. You walk to the counter, decide if you want to order from the menu or grab slices of pizza, pick a number if you are eating there and wait for your order, which btw arrives pretty quick ! The place gets 4 stars for its price and taste. I won't exaggerate and call it the best ever yaada yaada..too cliched ! The mrs had a chicken parm and i had a veggie calazone and a slice of cheese pizza. All said, the tab was a grand $16 change for 2..not bad eh ? Well, it only gets better. The order arrived within 10 mins, and the generous size of calazone and parm made us smile like a split watermelon ! The calazone is succulent in the middle, although i would much prefer eggplant to broccoli i think, but the mozzarella, ricotto ,shrooms, garlic and spinach just explodes with a creamy yet smoky flavors ! The crust was a bit toasted up, but the taste more than makes up for the blackened edges. Next, the generous portions of marinara sauce on the side . The sauce in itself is a bit on the sour side, thats only until you realize that they use fresh tomatoes to make their sauce and not canned ones ! The mrs had similar opinion about her chicken parm, just rightly sauced, breaded and cooked, in a soft roll, but with a little too much marinara sauce on it ( the only -ve according to her ). I wouldn't really say much about the pizza. It tasted like any other slice of cheese pizza, but a little less greasy which is a good thing. But at $2 a pop, i cannot really complain ! Will i go there again ? Didn't Mr Steinbrunner make George run and get Calazone else perish ? Well, that says it all i think..

So far, so good! Pazani is in a shopping center in Elkridge, next to the Giant grocery store off of 103 on Marshalee Drive. It's not sit down restaurant---it's one of those deals where you order the counter and either get it to go or take a seat at a table or booth and they bring it out to you. There seem to be a bunch of these places in Howard County (3 Brothers, Strapazza, Pasta Blitz, etc.). I thought it was kind of small inside. I expected there to be more seating and it was pretty packed and loud on a Friday night. Once I tried the food, I didn't mind. The pizza was incredible! I love the Italian Flag pizza---a white pizza with garlic, cheese, spinach, and tomatoes. Yum! The cheese calzone was also a hit---soft dough and oozing cheese center. I didn't try any of the pastas, but they looked and sounded good. They just got a liquor license so they now serve beer and wine. The prices are very reasonable and I thought that the staff I encountered were pretty nice. Obviously, it's a take out place so it's not fancy, but it was clean and had a nice feel to it. Good place for families and seemed very kid-friendly (they do have a kid's menu). I still like Roma's pizza when I want a really greasy slice, but Pazani's is a little more upscale and it's definitely my new favorite place to get a slice (or two) in Howard County.

We got various pizzas here. The crust was not impressive at all. My friend ordered a barbeque chicken pizza that was really bland and we got a meat pizza that also was lacking in flavor. The bruschetta was good, but at a pizza place, the pizza should be the main attraction! We preferred both Philly's Best and Venice Pizza--Philly's is probably the best in the area.

QSR - place your order at the register, and then either take out or sit down to eat. interior is nicely furnished, so this feels nicer that a fast food spot. That being said, my pizza slices were ready in about a minute. the tricolor & chicken bruschetta pizzas were both good -- thin crust, a little crispy. the cheese sicilian slice was good but had been sitting a while and wasn't super fresh. $10 out the door, very convenient esp if you're staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door.

It was packed when I walked into Pazani on Friday dinner time. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a meat calzone. I just wanted a quick in and out meal on my way home from 9 holes of golf after work. It took me 20 minutes to get the pepperoni slice and 30 minutes for the calzone. Their pepperoni pizza was good but their crust is too thin for my liking. It gets soggy after a minute or two after it is served. I did enjoy my first minute with the slice though. The calzone was worth the wait. A bit hard on the crust end but the ricotta and sausage they use is very tasty. I will probably return due to Pazani's calzones. I was able to see Pazani's kitchen at work during my 30 minute wait and saw lot of pasta orders. They looked pretty good and might give one a try next time.

Been her twic with the Wifferson, yummy, yummy, yummy, it is a little small inside but I like to think of it as cosy small. The prices are reasonable service is quick and if you just wanna get a slice you can. I can't wait to try more!

Great for an inexpensive non-chain lunch or dinner. They have lots of choices, but what really calls to me is their excellent selection of different types of pizza by-the-slice. I'm always happy with just a reasonable slice of good cheese pizza for $2, but here I was pleased to also have some gourmet alternatives by the slice, including a really super spinach-and-fresh-tomato. A great addition to the Columbia area. NOTE: THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS!

Stopped here on the way back to dc from BWI based on Yelp reviews. This is a true Italian restaurant- refreshing from the pseudo ones we have in dc. Chicken parm was above average but not special. My wife's rigatoni siciliano was far superior - a bit too oily but a nice mix of flavors for a robust dish. Kids meals were average but can't complain for $5 each incl drink. Both kids said "the butter penne was better than the spaghetti." :)I'd come back.

This is an authentic Italian place that is conveniently located for those passing through Ellicott City. They have a very good menu that includes Calzones, Sandwiches, Pizza, Pastas, and Stromboli. I am a big fan of the Cheesesteakes. Their salads are very fresh, my favorite is the one with white beans and grilled chicken. The pizza is cooked well, and the service is good. It is a decent place to come hang out with friends and go to lunch with co-workers.

I came here about 6 months ago with my parents on the way back to College Park from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. We stopped here for dinner and split a 16 inch "New York Style" pie. I found the slices to taste similiar to generic NY-style slices, but the crust was slightly thicker. The vibe was definitely that of a family-owned "red sauce joint." My dad didn't enjoy the pizza here, but he rarely enjoys pizza. (The last pizza he enjoyed was at Pizzaland in North Arlington, NJ, which I also found to be amazing). My mom found it to be slightly better than mediocre. That being said, Pazani serves up pretty close imitation to NY-style pizza in the DC/Baltimore area, and the "pizza blogger" seems to agree, though he mentions some issues with the quality being inconsistent: pizzablogger.org/index.p…

Very good Italian food. Eggplant parm and pizza are delicious. I also tried the garlic knots they were a little too garlic-y for me, but I that's kind of to be expected. Definitely recommend it!

  • Kris L.

The food is ok but the customer service is horrible. I called to put in a order and the guy on the phone act as if I was bothering him. I said don't worry about it. I went inside and they took my order after finishing their conversation. I will never order here again.

  • K D.

Delighted - delight-full! My wonderful husband took me here for lunch and we loved it. I know I'm beating a dead horse about gluten free and buy local, but I'm passionate about both.

Gross!

It always seems like their estimates for when it will be ready are off, and we end up waiting a long time. But the food is great!

We were looking for a quick place to grab a sandwich and fell in here. I had THE BEST grilled vegetable panini!! Can't wait to come back for their pasta.

Got a medium pizza to go with sausage and broccoli. The sausage is not your typical sausage, it is sliced thinly and very delicious. The pizza is very good.

Gross!

We got various pizzas here. The crust was not impressive at all. My friend ordered a barbeque chicken pizza that was really bland and we got a meat pizza that also was lacking in flavor. The bruschetta was good, but at a pizza place, the pizza should be the main attraction! We preferred both Philly's Best and Venice Pizza--Philly's is probably the best in the area.

The food is ok but the customer service is horrible. I called to put in a order and the guy on the phone act as if I was bothering him. I said don't worry about it. I went inside and they took my order after finishing their conversation. I will never order here again.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
