We visited Maryland for a few days, and we stayed at the Holiday Inn right across the street. After we checked in, I asked the clerk where a good dinner spot was, but in a rush because we had to be somewhere soon. This is a real tourist spot, and there are six hotels surrounding this Denny's. The service was quick and friendly. I had a sizzling fajita plate, and my date had the steak caesar salad. (see pics) It was a good experience, and a much better option than the Burger King across the street.

This was absolutely the worst Denny's dining experience I have ever had. There were enough employees available to picket fence the running of the bulls, but none but one of them seemed to be working. Customers were few and noticeably frustrated whether they were there for dine in or carry out. My party and I waited between 5 and 10 minutes just to be acknowledged and seated in a dining room with more service staff than customers. Once seated, we waited about 15 minutes to be greeted by our server. Drinks were served soon after we ordered them but getting a refill was next to impossible. Our waitress was out of our line of sight for more than 10 minutes. We eventually spotted her enjoying a meal behind the service counter with several other staff members. Once eye contact was finally made, our server hopped up and approached us, wiping her face with her hands and her hands onto her apron. She didn't wash her hands before handling our food that sat waiting under heat lamps in plain view for at least 5 minutes while she ate with her cohorts. Our meal arrived incomplete as predicted. It might have been more enjoyable had we received utensils. I had to get them myself from a nearby table because our waitress disappeared yet again. More than 40 minutes after receiving our meal we finally received drink refills. Our waitress and a majority of the other employees continued to do as they pleased throughout our dining experience, including taking multiple cigarette breaks and sitting down at tables with friends and/or regular customers. All the while, the manager waddled around and appeared oblivious to the situation, clearly unconcerned about his lax employees and their lack of customer service. I haven't even addressed the food quality yet...

If you like shriveled old pancakes, cold overcooked eggs, and awful service, then this is the place to go! They brought toast out that looks like it took a shower in butter. 3 napkins later, it was almost edible. Not really though. The service matched the quality of the food with slow seating. It took about ten minutes to get some napkins. And a while longer to get garbage on a plate. On a positive note, the water wasn't bad. I wish I would have taken another sip before I left to wash the nasty taste out of my mouth.

I wish I could give half stars to give it 3.5, because both the husband and I really enjoyed our meals. Neither of us had been to Denny's before this one, and I really wanted to go because I had seen commercials for their banana bread french toast. So while on a roadtrip to Philly, we stopped by for some breakfast. As I had expected, the banana bread french toast was delicious! It came with some (not enough) bacon and syrup, and I just inhaled that meal. The big surprise was how much husband liked his meal - he ordered some dish which is basically a pile of potatoes, some vegetables and spicy sausages - maybe some kind of hash? Whatever it was, he was really happy because it had a perfect amount of spice and "kick." Not something you would expect at Denny's, where we thought the food would be basically bland. Service was prompt and friendly until the very end, when it started to get crowded and I think our waitress got overwhelmed. They had small TVs playing sports news, and the price was great. I now have a positive impression of Denny's and would go back there again next time we are on a road trip.

We stopped here on a road trip to catch a quick breakfast. However the seating process was way too involved. Why do they write down your name and the number of your party before seating you at one of the 20 empty tables? Seems like a waste of time, just let me sit down like a normal person. This place is pretty dirty and I would hate to see the kitchen. Food was standard Denny's. Eh.

I have been here before , but today was terrible. A young boy was sick outside the bathroom and a customer had to get the manager to get someone to clean it up. We were seated in a timely manner but the whole operation seemed unprofessional. Our pancake popper were very overcooked and should not have been served. My food sat under the warmer for a long time while they waited for the other meal to be cooked so my food was somewhat cold. My fellow diner did jot get the food that came with the meal and when asked, the sever simply denied that the food came with the meal. Over all this place is usually cleaner and the staff is more attentive. This time the waitress never came back and we waited fifteen minutes and she never returned. We finally had to ask the manager for the bill.

Just terrible! Seated at 11:30, ordered a few minutes later. About 20 minutes after that, TWO tables walked out before they got their food because they said they had waited over an hour. Certainly, in the 20 minutes we sat there, only ONE two-top got their food (which looked like scrambled eggs & pancakes. How long does that take to make?!) the place was less than half full. Not a good sign! About 5 minutes later (a good 20-25 minutes after ordering!) just as someone in our party said she would give them 5 more minutes then walk out also, the manager came to our table and said "Whoever ordered the buffalo wings, we just ran out." First of all, ZERO other orders had been served since we walked in the door, so there was no way they JUST ran out. Second, who waits 25 minutes to figure out that a food that should take 5 minutes to prepare - is out?! Third - he then proceeded to say "Don't worry, I won't charge you for the wings..." Oh, THANK YOU for not charging me for something I DIDNT GET!! Of course, I voiced this opinion. He offered to bring me something else. How kind. Since at this point, the orders were taking 30 minutes and counting, I wasn't too hopeful!! He ended up putting an "ASAP" on the order (why they don't just put ALL orders in "ASAP" is beyond me!) and my food came out only 10 minutes after everyone else's. Theirs was cold, mine was hot, telling me that the food must've sat for a while before being brought to the table! I understand that this is Denny's, not a 5-star restaurant, however, even Denny's should have some sort of standard. Go to Waffle House across the street!

I went to this Denny's three times while at the hotel next door. Two of the visits were fine and one wasn't, First visit was a dinner service around 7pm. Seated promptly, nice server. Order the barbecue chicken breast skillet dinner with macaroni & cheese and hash browns. Only down side to that combination was the mac & cheese when put on the sizzling skillet seared the pasta touching the plate which stuck several pieces to the plate. Good flavor, nice experience. Second visit was around 10pm, and was a totally different experience. Had to wait to be seated by the manager who said "My day will be better when it's over". Finally had a server come to the table who stated "no one told me I needed to take your order" (no apology for the wait). Meal also took longer than it should have to arrive at the table. Night shift was very disappointing. Third visit was breakfast a 7 am. Better experience as I was immediately seated and dealt with a pleasant server. Food served in a timely manner. OK place to eat - as long as it isn't the night shift.

Ugh, one of he worse Denny's experiences I've had. I am not big on chains but Denny's is one of my favorites. Not this one though. Not clean, Service not attentive and food was cold. Next time I will realize that Waffle House is right on the other side and will head there instead.

It really depends on who is working. If it is the old time regular waitresses the service is usually good, however you do have a few servers that act like they are doing you a favor. The old manager Virginia was great since she left the location service has gone down hill. No matter how offten to ask the server to make sure the food is hot if still. Ones out Luke warm if your lucky. The only way to get hot food from here is to order a skillet!

Since the remodeling, I was hoping that this place had hired some new staff that would faster with seating and food orders. Went in with high expectations. I went with group of friends and ordered a water. The glass was filthy and the waiter brought me a brand new glass. We all ordered burgers with different toppings. All of our burgers with mixed up after waiting what seemed like an eternity. Along with that my chips were burnt but my burger was cold. I voiced my concerns to the manager who have us a dirty 20 percent off coupon but then split our bill 3 ways so only one of us could it. Was def my last time eating here.
