This was a helluva find on the way to Ocean City! We were enticed by the smoking grill and the atomically correct metal bull sculpture in the front. The ribs were absolutely delicious. The sides were good as well. Could have done without the country music, but that's just a matter of taste. It would have been weird eating in this western-style restaurant listening to anything else. Hope to get a chance to go back there soon!

My husband and I just ate here had the nc pulled pork sandwich! They were awesome ! If you are on your way to ocean city stop by here ! Great spot!

Well, I love great barbeque so I thought I'd try it out after it being suggested to me. . I had the 3 meat sampler but a double brisket and one pit beef. Both had the smoky flavor, but really lacked seasoning. For sides I had the potato salad which was absolutely phenomenal, and the Mac and cheese which was creamy but lacking salt. The brisket was pretty fatty and shaved pretty thin, but the pit beef.. fantastic! No fat at all and just super moist. Most of all, I was greeted by two gems at the counter. Pretty upbeat welcome and a great farewell. I wish I knew their names so I could add them, they were models of good team work taking orders and using the cash register. All in all, food is above average just add salt and a little sauce to your meat.

North Carolina pulled pork was excellent, as was the coleslaw. Both were strong recommendations from the counter. Sauces were also very tasty!

Eh. Ordered the brisket combo. Asked for the meat to be the fatty cuts since I wasn't asked my preference. and the potato salad as side. The meat was incredibly dry taste was alright if you could get past dryness that is with it soaked in their sauces I put both sweet and spicy. Both tasted like they were out of a bottle. And the potato salad was very bland and a tiny portion 4 bites and done.. Cost was pretty expensive for what you got. I will be driving the extra mile to bbq joint.

I stopped here because it is right off Rt 50 and the smoker out front always smells so good...I should have kept driving. The staff has no idea what the phrase "customer service" means. It is not appropriate to reprimand the cashier in plain view of the customers. The food is overpriced and frankly, not good. I got the pulled chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw and the beef brisket sandwich with Mac and coleslaw. Both meats come dry which is fine but when I only have 2 choices of sauce (sweet and spicy) at a BBQ place, it's a let down. Both meats were dry, like get stuck in your throat dry. The coleslaw tastes like the prefabricated trash from Sysco. The Mac was flavorless. The brioche buns were frozen from Sysco and stale. The fries were not cooked and very soggy. No refills from the soda fountain? Get real. The condiment station had toppings sitting out at room temperature with no ice and the BBQ dispensers looks like they have never been cleaned. I don't even want to know what kind of bacteria is growing in there. The food came out so quick and was luke warm. This leads me to believe they are holding the food in a hot well that is not at an acceptable temperature....again the bacteria that is probably festering.... The place has a cute atmosphere. It's a shame the food doesn't match. The management is clearly below par. Such a shame for such a prime location.

I've been there twice in a week both the Pit Turkey and Beef were great. Big full sandwiches and the side items were very good. Service was fast and friendly.

Got the brisket and the sweet pulled pork with fries. All were really good! Nice to have a worthy place to stop on the way down the ocean! A welcome addition to Cambridge ?

Finally found a local spot to support on the way to the beach. We got the brisket and the North Carolina pulled pork and they were both really tasty. We really liked the sauces, especially the tiger. My only complaint would be that the fries side was a little skimpy but I'm also a potato fanatic so take that as you will.

Bar-B-Que!!!! Okay, so I am originally from East Tennessee and consider myself to have refined BBQ taste. This place delivers, simple menu with substantial sides. The portions are more than generous. Oh-don't miss the bull out front or the adorable vintage artwork portraying three cartoon animals smiling and dancing on hot coals:) Vegetarians-be warned you will be offended and should most likely stay away.

I had a really great meal, freshly made BBQ, done right. Collards, ribs, all tasty. I would recommend and will go again.

Brisket & beef were fresh. Very disappointed with the bland potato hamburger bun. Not toasted. Not seasoned. Baked beans & fries were very good & hot. Sandwich sauce was as expected & not special.

I don 't mine the country music and i don't mine the sign that says "They have the right to refuse u service" What i do mine is the cost of mediocre food . If u do have to stop on your way to the beach so be it.

Pretty good roadside stop. I got the sliced beef. Probably should have gotten the brisket, as mine was pretty flavorless. Their sauces are good though. And the fries were good too.

Well this my second trip here and I like the food, but its way way overpriced. Come on two pit beef sandwiches with a small side and two small drinks for $25 that's just ridiculous and no free refills. Nope I don't think the value is there. My sandwich was dry and not hot. The Mac & cheese was okay, not didn't feel it was the best it could have been. Slightly overcooked with a subtle vinegary after taste. My wife had the fries which were good and hot. Still I'm not coming back, wish y'all the best.

I dunno how this place gets high reviews. I went there on the way home from the beach and the pit turkey tasted like sandwich turkey and my brisket had little if any bbq taste. I could of made either better myself. Please ignore all the high reviews and don't bother stopping. I think Arby's across the street has better food.

Walked in to be greeted by "Sorry. We're about to close. Pork only." Walked out, and won't be back. Anyone who enters your place should be treated equally, not for your convenience. Nobody should get by with being rude to customers, simply to try to clean up the place faster.

This place is great! Really meaty ribs, cooked perfectly. Friendly staff. Pit beef looked really good too. Great place to stop!

So overpriced. The portions are for someone the size of an infant. Literally my two year old niece could order the platters and still be starving. The prices are absolutely way to high for the amount of food that you get.

We decided to give Hot Off the Coals a try despite all the bad reviews we had read. NOW I understand the reason for the reviews. We ordered a sausage & peppers sandwich, and a pit ham sandwich. The sausage in the sandwich was raw. Took it up to the counter, and the person doing the cooking microwaved the meat so that it was scalding hot on the outside, yet surprisingly still raw on the inside. The pit ham sandwich was stone cold. One would expect it to be hot, or at least warm? In any case, lunch cost us 25 bucks and to be honest, I would rather have had a fried spam sandwich.. and I hate spam. Wont ever be returning.

I stopped here while on a trip. The women working at the front, brunette and heavyset, was particularity rude. She proceeded to laugh at me multiple occasions while inquiring about the food and side options. Once we were served the food the presentation for the food was un impressive to say the least. The beef patty was clearly a cheap frozen patty that was microwaved. The sandwich buns were cheap and soggy too and the pulled pork ribs left much more to be desired. For a northerner looking to enjoy some good BBQ I was very disappointed. Please do yourself a favor and skip this place unless of course you like overpaying for bad service and food!

Too expensive, small portions, food service taste, fatty meat!! Been to over 200 bbq joints in this country and this would be in bottom 10 percent. You can drive two blocks off route 50 and get much better bbq. Do not waste your time and money.

Stopped here on the way to Ocean City and enjoyed our meal. Like that you can order any of the meats by the pound. We had pit beef and turkey and both had a delicious smoky flavor. The baked beans were tasty - very sweet. The restaurant is cute and clean and the servers were friendly. A great place for a quick meal. We will definitely stop here again.

We ate here on the way down to Chincoteague Island, and we couldn't wait to eat there again on our way home. We were kind of surprised to see all the bad reviews, because we thought it was amazing! Between both of our visits, we tried the pit beef, turkey, pulled pork, and brisket, with fries and baked beans. Yes, it was expensive, and the portions are not huge, but that is pretty much on-par with the best barbeque places that we've visited. The meat was tender and smoky, the barbeque sauce was lip-smacking good, the fries were fresh-cut, and the beans were scrumptious! We had no problems with the wait staff. I'm definitely a fan!

New Hot Off the Coals location! BBQ is just as good as the original location on 404. They did a nice job refinishing the old Good Dogs location. Excited to have this in Easton.

Love this place. Great food. Sauces are amazing. Love the boardwalk fries. Wonderful service. Fast services. Great place for lunch. I can not drive by this place without stopping. Prices are average.

The place looks great....that is were it ends. We had a young lady wait on us that was snarky at best. We ordered ribs 2 ways dry and sauced. Also pit beef. We had cole slaw as our side. The ribs were bad both ways chewy...no flavor at all!! The pit beef was great. I have had his pit beef before at waterfowl festival. He makes a great horseradish sauce. When I asked if that was available my snarky counter girl said " we don't have that! " funny that when I went to the condiment bar there it was !! So all that being said I will not go back. I usually will give a place a second chance but not this one. The teenager "running" the place sealed that deal.

Will not return! Stopped in for lunch - unremarkable - Small pulled pork sandwich with tastless potato salad side. Nine Bucks! Really?

Let's start off by saying setting $50 on fire would have been better then eating at this place. there was a hair in my french fries, and not just laying on top of the fry, it was wrapped around multiple fries. When I went to tell someone about it I was offered another larger sized fry.. Other then this mishap the rest of the food was practically inedible. The pulled pork was dry on a lackluster potato roll, the ribs were extremely fatty, the brisket was over cooked and tasteless, and the pit beef was comparable to paper. Needless to say we won't be returning.
